A/n: So Sorry for the late update, had course during the last year, then I lost my muse on what I wanted a certain character to do. I am currently re-watching Cardcaptor Sakura to help get me started again so hopefully I will have another chapter done up sooner next time. Sorry if this chapter is badly done, its kinda a filler for before they go back to school. Review are appricated, they let know if im going okay. :)

Chapter 2: Homework and Cake

"I'm sure he will, and the others will be as well, except for Tomoyo. I was really hoping not to run into anyone just yet, my plans will just have to change a wee bit." Mused Eriol. Yes there is much to do yet.

It was an ordinary fine day for Li Syaoran, he had done all of his chores and even the shopping, all before lunchtime and was now planning to have a lazy afternoon. He had just made himself a snack and was about to put a good movie on, but before he could even put it on his phone went off.

"Hai, moshi moshi, Li Syaoran speaking." Syaoran answered.

"Konnichiwa Syaoran-kun." Tomoyo's voice comes through the ear piece.

"Ah Tomoyo-chan, how are you?"

"I'm good, thanks, I was just calling to see if you were busy, Sakura needs help with her homework."

At the mention of Sakura's name, Syaoran blushed at bit. "Okay sure, I'll be right there."

"Oh thank you, Syaoran-kun, we're see you soon." With that, he heard the phone disconnect. He put his phone into his pocket, and put away his uneaten snack into the fridge, before grabbing his school bag and house keys before locking up.

He quickly made his way towards Sakura's house and when he got there he fully expected Sakura to answer the door, but found Tomoyo instead. In the background he could faintly hear Sakura yelling at Kero.

"What are they fighting about now?" Syaoran asked Tomoyo, as soon as he stepped inside.

"Oh that, well Kero-chan got bored waiting so he turned the TV on real loud and Sakura was getting annoyed, cause she was trying to study." Tomoyo told him, while making their way towards the lounge.

But as soon as they got there, the scene that they walked into was totally unexpected. Instead of just yelling, Sakura was now chasing a flying Kero who seemed to be having trouble keeping a good hold on the TV remote.

"Kero-chan! Give me that remote, you know that we are trying to do homework." Sakura yelled

"Oh dear." Tomoyo then said, after taking the scene in.

Sakura, who was just about to jump over the coffee table, stopped when she heard her friend's voice. She turned around and ran straight for Tomoyo, completely missing the fact that Syaoran was standing right next to her, grab her friends arms and started pulling her to the area where Kero decided that he had found the perfect hiding perch, out of Sakura's reach.

"Oh Tomoyo-chan, please help me. Kero-chan just won't listen to me." Sakura said in a pleading manner.

Cough

"Hoe?" Sakura didn't notice that Syaoran had followed them to where she had dragged Tomoyo. So when her eyes landed on Syaoran she let go and rush to give him a big hug.

"Syaoran!"

"Konnichiwa Sakura, you look like you could use some help." Syaoran replied while returning the hug.

Sakura then remembered that in her moment of happiness, she had forgotten all about Kero. She then turned hopeful eyes towards Tomoyo.

"I know what will make him listen." Tomoyo said with a hint of an evil glint in her eyes, as she made her way to Kero. Looking up, she spoke with an innocent smile.

"Kero-chan, can you please give us the TV remote or if you don't... I'll give Syaoran-kun your piece of the cake."

"NOOOOOOOO! Not my cake, please don't give it to the brat. He just took forever to get here." Kero flew into the arms of Tomoyo with tears threatening to fall. I left straight away, don't know what he's on about. Syaoran thought to himself, while glaring at the orange ball huddled in Tomoyo's arms.

"Well he's here now and all that's left to do is Maths and Geography, so just be patient for a few more minutes."

"Fine, but do I still get to keep my cake?" Kero asked hopefully.

"Of course."

And with that they got on with the rest of their homework. With Syaoran helping they managed to finish quite quickly, just in time for afternoon tea.

"Thank Kami that's over, Thank you Tomoyo-chan, Syaoran." Sakura said gratefully.

"YAAY! Does that mean we can have some cake now?" Kero jumped up from where he had been sitting for the past hour and a half and started hovering in front of Sakura's face.

"Alright Kero-chan, but first I got to make some tea, I'll be right back." Sakura got up and headed towards the kitchen.

"I should go and help her, you two stay here. And behave!" and with that Tomoyo got up, with a quick innocent glare at the two on the couch before heading to help Sakura in the kitchen.

In the kitchen.

"So are you looking forward to going back to school on Monday?" Tomoyo asked politely, as she enters the kitchen, shocking Sakura out of a day-dream.

"Hai! I can't wait to see everyone, seems like it's been forever since I've seen our other friends." Sakura replies back, while getting the cake that her father had made earlier that day.

"Here let me help you with that," Tomoyo says, while taking the cake from Sakura.

"So, Tomoyo, do you thank that you will eventually find someone to like and possibly date?" Sakura enquired I feel bad cause everyone else has a boyfriend/girlfriend, she has noboby.

"I don't know Sakura, I can never find someone who will like me for just being me" Tomoyo sighed.

"Well have you even given a guy a chance to get to know you?" There have been a few guys that have wanted to get to know Tomoyo, but she has always declined.

"There was that one guy two years ago, but it turned out he just wanted me cause of my wealth."

"Okay that wold put a damper on things, I just want you to be happy Tomoyo-chan. Lets hope thing will be different for the rest of the school year, eh?"

"Hai, we should go back and check on the boys" Tomoyo said with a smile on her face.

Meanwhile at Eriol's

"She's here." Eriol muses aloud while looking into his magic mirror that he has hidden in his study. "Now it is only at matter of time before she will reveil herself." What is it that she is planning this time. Eriol is so lost im his own throughts that he misses the silent exchange between his two guardians.
