8 years passed since the event that took Harry and Ron's wives from them. They met up with old friends, Marissa and Lavender. Marissa had her baby boy, named Liam. Lavender decided to find a house for her and Marissa to move in together.

It was the anniversary of the deaths of Ginny Potter and Hermione Weasley. Harry and Ron took the children to Hogwarts to visit their mothers. They hadn't explained what happened to the women yet, but they figured since they're turning eight years old the next day, now is better than anytime. They thought the children are at the age where they could understand it.

"What happened?" Kaitlyn asked.

"Why don't you three sit down", Ron said as he and Harry sat down themselves and put new flowers beside the headstones. The children followed suit, putting flowers they had picked with the flowers Harry and Ron put down.

"Before you were born, while you were your mummy's tummies, we were in a bad car accident. A big truck hit us and we all went to the hospital. The doctors had to take you guys out of mummy's tummies. They tried their best to save your mum's, but they weren't able to", Harry explained. All three kids were starting to cry so they grabbed the kids and pulled them into hugs. "We're sorry you never got to meet your mothers, but because of them, you're here with us. And you are the reason that we were able to keep going", Harry told them.

"Just remember that they will always be with you. We've got these for you all", they handed three lockets to Mia, Kaitlyn and Christian.

"Christian, you don't have to wear it. None of you do. But they contain a picture of you as a baby and a picture of your mothers", Harry told them. "This was the best way for us to be sure you always had a piece of them with you. Especially when you all go to Hogwarts".

"Thanks dad", they all chimed, hugging the men.

"You're welcome", they said, hugging their kids back.

"We miss you Ginny and Hermione", Harry said, blowing a kiss to each head stone, Ron did this as well. The kids copied their fathers before standing up.

"Ready to go?" Ron asked them. They nodded. They walked back to the castle and to McGonagall's office, as she was allowing them to use her fireplace for the Floo network.

"It was good to see you Potter and Weasley", McGonagall smiled. "You three little ones as well. I guess we'll be seeing you around here in a few years", she told them. They shied away, but nodded. Harry held onto Kaitlyn and Christian's hands and flooed home. Ron followed suit, holding Mia's hand and flooing to Harry's.

The twins ran up to their rooms right away to put there lockets beside the picture they each had of Ginny. Mia followed and went to Kaitlyn's room.

"Do you think they're okay?" Ron asked Harry.

"They just need to let the information sink in. They'll be okay", Harry told him as he put the kettle on for tea. The doorbell rang so Ron went to answer it. He found Marissa, Liam and Lavender on the other side.

"Hey. I didn't know you guys were coming over", Ron said, inviting them in.

"Who is it Ron?" Harry asked coming into the living room.

"Marissa, Liam and Lavender", he told Harry.

"Oh hey guys. Christian is in his room Liam, if you want to go up", Harry told him. Liam nodded and ran up the stairs. "So what brings you here today?" Harry asked.

"We didn't know if you were having a party or not for the kids, so we brought their gifts over today", Marissa told him as they put gifts down on the table.

"Oh, thanks guys. We were gonna have a party, but we decided we would tell them about Ginny and Hermione this year. So we decided we'd just have a family dinner at The Burrow", Harry told them.

"Oh, okay. Well can we go up and see them before we leave?" Marissa asked.

"Of course. You don't have to leave right now. Stay for some tea. Harry's just put the kettle on", Ron said.

"Alright. We'll stay for a bit after we go see the kids", Lavender smiled.

Ten minutes later, Lavender and Marissa came into the kitchen, followed by all four kids. Harry made them all sandwiches for lunch and the adults had tea while the kids had apple juice.

"Thanks Uncle Harry", Mia smiled. The other three said thanks after.

"You're welcome", Harry smiled, as the kids ran to the backyard to play.

"Rambunctious, aren't they?" Marissa laughed.

"Yes, yes they are", Ron agreed.

Marissa, Lavender and Liam stayed for dinner that night and the kids opened there gifts before the three left. Christian got a miniature broom that flew a three feet off the ground; Lavender said it was so he can practice his Quidditch skills. Kaitlyn and Mia both received some new clothes and clip on jewelry.

"Thank you", they all smiled.

"You're welcome. Such wonderful manners", Lavender commented. "You're raising them well", she told them as they headed to the door.

"Thank you. And don't be strangers", Ron said as they waved the three off.

The next day was the kids' birthday, so they were flooing over to The Burrow for a nice family dinner. They arrived there and all of the Weasley's were already there with their families.

"Happy birthday!" was yelled as soon as they all got out of the fireplace. The kids all had goofy grins on their faces. They thanked everyone and then ran off to play with the other children that were there.

For dinner, Molly cooked a few whole chickens, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, peas, carrots, garlic bread and gravy. They all enjoyed the meal and Molly made homemade mint chocolate chip ice cream and three rather large cakes. She said it was only fair that they each had one so they could blow out their own candles. One was Chocolate with Vanilla icing that said 'Happy 8th Birthday Kaitlyn', the second was Vanilla with Chocolate icing that said 'Happy 8th Birthday Mia' and the third was marble (vanilla & chocolate) with cream cheese icing (doesn't actually taste like cream cheese, that's just what it's called) that said 'Happy 8th Birthday Christian'. They were all decorated with icing balloons in each corner. The girls' cakes had a different princess on them and Christian's had a broom and a snitch on it.

They all sang happy birthday to the three and enjoyed the cake and Molly's homemade ice cream. Once that was done, they did presents, but thy mostly got clothes, as they had everything else any child could want. After a long night of playing and having fun, Harry and Ron returned to their own homes and put their children to bed, saying goodnight, they shut the lights off and went to their own beds, falling asleep and dreaming of their late but never forgotten wives.
