Sakura and Tazuna appeared behind Hana who was still holding Sasuke. She fell to her knees and she began to sob. Hana looked back down at Sasuke as Sakura caressed his face. "He's cold...,"
"I'm sorry Sakura..., Sasuke was trying to protect us and he got in the way," Hana whispered. Hana's heart began to pick up pace as Sasuke twitched in her arms. "Sakura...Hana...Why are you crying?," The two girl's stopped crying, Hana's eyes widen and she smiled. "Sasuke," He sat up. "What about Naruto and that masked kid,"
"Sasuke, don't move so much,"
"Hana's right your hurt, Naruto is fine and that masked kid is dead,"
"Dead? Did Naruto kill him?,"
"No, I'm not sure, but he protected Zabuza,"
"It's amazing! That you prevented those attacks from your critical areas," Sakura beamed. Hana sighed gently, Sasuke turned to her. "Your okay too, that's...Good," He muttered.
Sakura shouted to Naruto, notifying him Sasuke was alive and well. "Even if you are okay, I'm not going to forgive you for acting recklessly,"
"Yeah,"
That night, after they got rid of the needles and patches up their wounds, Hana laid in the grass and looked up at the moon. The sound of footstep's were heard and she looked in the corner of her eye. Kakashi smiled down at her. "Mind if I have a seat?," She sat up and he sat down. He was silent for a few minutes before talking. "It's been a long time, since I've seen you smile Hana,"
She looked up at him. "I'm glad, your face is much more beautiful that way," Hana felt her cheeks beginning to feel hot. "Those guys, seem to be warming up to you now, so? What do you think?,"
"When I thought Sasuke was dead...It hurt...," She whispered. "I was too scared to use my true power, but I don't want to rely on that, I want to use my own strength to save my friends, I don't want the same incident happing all over again, I hate the feeling of losing someone, the pain is unbearable, so, I'll stay and protect those who are precious, that's the way I've decided to go," She touched the blue flower in her hair. "I see, you have grown into a wonderful girl, no, a beautiful flower," Hana watched him stand up with her blush reappearing. "Oh, wait until I tell everyone you said the word friends," He snickered.
"Pardon?! Kakashi, don't repeat that!,"
"Hey! You guys," He shouted into the house. "Ka-Kakashi!,'
'He act's like a child!,'
'I can sense her! She's not to far...and coming this way...,' Nanami stood up from under the tree. 'I'll kill her, for you father,' The wind blew, the tree's leaves flew away from it's tree and into the sky. As if going the same way Nanami followed the leaves.
Hana and Sakura sighed as they watched Naruto's and Inari's heartfelt, teary eyed goodbye. They waved at the family and turned to walk away.
"Yay! Let's get home as fast as we can! I'm going to have Iruka sensei buy me some ramen! And then I'm going to tell Konohamaru about my mission!," Naruto shouted.
"So...Sasuke, how about we go on a date when we get back," Sakura asked. "Un..Thanks, but no thanks,"
"Aww," Hana smiled again. Naruto turned to her. "Hana! Your smiling again," She blushed and turned to him. "Look your blushing too,"
"S-stop pointing it isn't polite," she said clearing her throat. "To be honest, your a lot prettier when your smiling,"
"Wel-well, if you think it's going to be an everyday thing it's not,"
He chuckled. "What's so funny?,"
"Your always so stand offish, but your really a kind person Hana! We're going to be great friends!,"
"Friends?,"
"Yeah, your apart of team 7, so that means we're all friends right?," Hana felt her heart beating in her chest. 'What's this feeling? It's strange,' Hana stopped all together as the wind blew. She looked around her and glared sharply. "What's wrong Hana?," Sakura asked. She didn't answer at first but she began to walk again. "It's nothing,"
'That bad feeling I was having a few days ago, it hasn't gone away, even after that fight at the bridge...What's going on?,'
They stopped at a town a little way down from the bridge. Hana sat on a bench outside of the town and stared blankly at the ground, motionless. Sakura looked at the towns people kept looking their way. "You k now, Hana you grab a lot of attention,"
"I do?,"
"It's whenever you sit still people seem to think your not real," Sasuke said.
"Your confusing me Sasuke," He sighed. "It's nothing...,"
"Where did Kakashi go off too?," Naruto asked.
"Your right he's been gone a long time,"
"She's over here please help her!," The beautiful woman shouted as they hurried to a cliff. A young girl was holding on for her life at the top. "Please wait here, I'll get her down," Kakashi smiled.
"Maybe we should search for him," Hana said standing up. The wind blew strongly as she stood up. 'That feeing is back...,' Naruto began to go towards the forest, they followed him silently. "This doesn't look familiar Naruto," Sakura said.
"Huh?,"
"I think we may have gotten lost," Hana said. "Naruto! You moron!," Sakura punched him and began scolding him.
Hana looked around the forest as the breeze blew past them gently. "Hana? What is it? You've been alert ever since we left," Sasuke said, "Someone's been following us," Just as she finished talking Hana turned her head slightly as a kunai flew passed her cheek. "Your accuracy has yet to improve Nanami," They turned to the darkness between the trees. "Nanami?," She walked into the light, her intense glare set on Hana. "Hey! Your that wacky chick that attacked Hana a while back!," Naruto pointed.
"I'm here for one thing only," Her purple eyes glancing at the three. "I've come to finally take your head, Hana,"
"Did daddy tell you to do that?,"
"My father is a strong man who wants revenge for what you did to him,"
"Your arrogance astounds me," Hana took off her backpack and put it on the ground. "Hana, we should look for Kakashi sensei," Sakura said. "He's busy," Hana looked her up an down, she had several weapons strapped to her back, she was well prepared. 'Her chakra...What's wrong with it, it's soaring, all over,' Her blue flower lit up dimly.
'Hey...Something isn't right with that girl's chakra,'
'I can see that,'
'No need to get snippy, watch your self,' The flower's light faded. Without even moving slightly Nanami was in front of Hana, thinking fast she grabbed her kunai from her holster. Nanami pulled a staff from her back strap. 'A rock staff? Well, her jutsu has improved a bit,'
'Look out Hana!,' The blue flower's light returned. The staff's smooth end jabbed into her ribs. Hana skidded back and held her side. "So? How's my accuracy now? Dead on isn't it? You can thank my father for that," Naruto ran in front of Hana. "Listen you crazy white haired girl! I won't stand by and let you attack Hana again you hear me!,"
"A nuisance...If you don't want to die, I strongly suggest you get out of my way," She warned stepping forward. "Naruto, stay back," Hana said getting back up on her feet. "Why won't you just stay down and admit that your defeated!?," Nanami charged towards Naruto who was getting ready her attack. Hana ran in front of him. She drove her hand into the ground. 'Earth Style, Terra Shield' Nanami smirked. "As is that can block me," She jumped over the shield only to find Naruto and Hana had disappeared. As she landed in the spot Hana had once stood, A hand reached from under the ground and grabbed her ankle. Hana rose up from the ground and into the air. She spun and tossed Nanami into the ground, the earth nearly shook from the impact. "Wow, I never knew Hana was so well adapted to earth style techniques," Sakura said. Naruto's hand reached up from the ground and grabbed onto Sakura's dress. She screamed and backed away as Naruto climbed out of a hole. "Naruto you idiot, you scared me!," He chuckled. "Sorry Sakura...," he turned to Hana who stood in front of them holding onto her ribs. "Hana, you defeated that crazy girl!," He cheered. Hana's stared at Nanami's motionless body. 'Something isn't right, her chakra is stick active,'
'Hana, take a look at her abdomen,' The dark voice spoke. Nanami flinched and stood up. "She still wants to fight?," Sasuke looked over the white haired girl. 'She's really persistent, Hana's ribs might be injured, if she takes another hit like that I'll have to step in,'
Hana glared at Nanami. "Nanami, did you consume those beads?,"
She chuckled and touched the sack strapped to her waist. "So you can see them?,"
"Yes, who gave those to you?,"
"Father did, it's just the boost I need to defeat you," Hana eyed her stomach. 'She's eaten three so far, we've got to stop her before she kills herself,'
'...You want to save her? Are these people such a big effect on you that they're messing with your brain as well?,'
'What's that supposed to mean?,'
'Nanami is trying to kill you, shouldn't you destroy her?,'
'No...Nanami and I have been through enough, she's my friend,' Hana got ready to attack Nanami. 'She was your friend...,'
'Someone is impersonating her father and not only that, tampering with her memories,'
'So?,'
"Maybe...My Nanami, is still in there somewhere,'
'I see...Your determined on saving her?,'
'Yes, I am,'
'Your really growing soft by the minute,'
'Soft? Look who's talking, by now you would have jumped out and killed her yourself,'
'Maybe...But your repressing chakra would give me a headache,' With that the voice faded away. Hana smiled and giggled to herself.
"What's so funny?,"
"Nanami, I've decided to fight you head on, but I won't go easy on you if you attack my team,"
"So, you really did grow a heart? I'll cut right through it,"
"I would like to your attempt, but I decided to end this,"
"You don't get to decide on your fate," With those words Hana charged at her, with her blue flower's light shining bright.
'She's right, Hana'
'Lend me a bit of your chakra Takemi'
Nanami lifted her staff. 'I have to save her,'
"Hana!," Sakura to side with Naruto and Sasuke close behind her. Nanami stuck her spear through her shoulder as Hana's fist was driven deep into Nanami's stomach. Nanami stepped back and fell to her knees, her entire body shook and she opened her mouth, and threw up.
"Hana! Wake up," Naruto lifted her up gently, he dropped her limp body and stepped back, they watched as she began to turn into mud. Hana climbed down from a tree. "Sorry, did I scare you?," They turned around to Hana holding her ribs with a small smile. "A clone?...When did you switch?," Nanami asked, lifted her head up. "When Naruto and I went underground," Hana said. "I had to take a small chance, you never let up on your offensive, so I had to do something, I had to get to you before you could eat another bead,"
"Why...?,"
"Those beads can kill you," Hana walked in front of her and kneeled down. "You should've killed me...,"
"I know, but what would be the point in killing you? It wouldn't do us both any good right?,"
"I don't understand you!," Nanami coughed and blood rolled down the corner of her mouth. "There's nothing to understand, you can hate me and try to kill me all you want but, I'll be prepared for it, so, try your best shot Nanami Inoue," Hana replied with a sweet smile.
'Who is this girl? She's completely strange, she's smiling at me,' Nanami closed her eyes and fell over. Suddenly Kakashi appeared behind his team. "Sorry I'm late...I ran into some trouble," Hana quickly grabbed the beads from Nanami's waist and stuffed them in her pouch. "Just where have you been?!," Sakura and Naruto shouted. Hana stood up slowly and cradled her side again as she tipped over a strong pair of hands grabbed her shoulders. She looked up at Sasuke. "Thank you,"
"Ah, so it was Nanami again," Kakashi leaned over her unconscious form and gently lifted her up.
"We should get back soon, Hana are you hurt?,"
"No," She lied letting go of her side. "Hana your ribs are most likely cracked or bruised," Sasuke said. "Really, I'll be fine, thank you,"
"Hana, Sasuke's right," Sakura said gently. "Like I said, I'm fine," She smiled. Naruto chuckled and slapped her on the back. "Hana you were amazing as usual!" Hana slowly began to lean over hugging her side.
"NARUTO! You idiot," Sakura shouted.
Nanami opened her eyes to find herself looking into the eyes of a doctor. "Hello there Nanami, sorry to wake you, you're suffering from mild injuries, so you won't be able to move for a couple of days, so please rest,"
'How am I back at the village...Wait, did that woman bring me back...? Why?' Nanami's eyes narrowed. 'Who or what is she?'
Hana brushed her hair as she stared into her mirror. Her pale eyes seemed to have dulled a bit, she pulled on a light blue long sleeved shirt with big cuffs and a white pleated skirt with shorts underneath. Her blue flower pinned in her hair.
Hana walked up to Sasuke and Sakura just as Naruto did. "Good Morning Sakura, Hana," Naruto and Sasuke met each other's eyes, blushed and turned away. Hana watched closely, 'Boys will be boys I guess,'
"H-Hey Hana, have your wounds healed already?" Sakura asked turning to Hana. "Yes, I'm fine, Thank you, Sakura," Naruto leaned closer to Hana's face. "Naruto! Get away from her!" Sakura shouted. He got a little bit closer ignoring the warning his friend was giving him. "Say Hana you look a little different today,"
"Different? I only parted my hair differently,"
"Yeah, I guess so," Sakura felt the corners of her lips twitch. 'How is it, that he can tell that she parted her hair differently but when I-,' Sakura froze and leaned closer to Naruto and smirked. "How would you know if Hana looks different Naruto?" She teased and poked him in the side with her elbow. "Huh? Well...I don't know, I stare at her a lot I guess,"
"And why's that," She whispered. He stopped and smiled at her, "She's really pretty, ya know,"
Hana raised an eyebrow as the blonde eyed her strangely. Sakura whispered in his ear. "Do you like Hana, Naruto?"
"Well...Uh sure," He whispered back. "Sakura, Naruto, it's rude to whisper about someone who's standing nearly several inches away from you," Hana spoke up which caused the two to jolt.
"Oh yeah! Hana, I came to your house yesterday, you weren't home so I went into your place, and your house's super clean,"
"Shouldn't everyone's house be clean? I guess that explains why my underwear was out of place and why my things were moved," Hana muttered and slowly began to move away from him.
"Wait, Hana it wasn't like that!" Sakura drove her fist into Naruto's temple. "Naruto if you ever come to my house, I'll snap you in half!" Hana walked past them and stood next to Sasuke. He looked up from the ground and into her dull eyes. They were silent for a while before Hana spoke up. "What is it?"
"...Nothing,"
"You look as if you've got something on your mind,"
"Why….You went to visit that girl, Nanami, why?"
"What does that matter Sasuke?," He turned away. "Whatever, forget it, it doesn't matter to me what you do," Hana smiled a bit. 'How stubborn..,'
Kakashi appeared in front of them with a small smile. "How is everyone? Are we all getting along?"
"You're late!" Sakura and Naruto shouted. "Sorry, sorry, I had to catch up with an old friend, let's pair off then,"
Naruto turned and grabbed Hana's arm. "Hana, we'll be partners today! This time I'll get to show you my skills!" He smiled big and laughed. "Kyaa! This means I'll be partners with Sasuke!" Sakura squealed. Hana just watched them and smiled softly.
'What a strange bunch of characters,'
