Tensions

In the hours after the attack, rebuilding and clean up began. Marek had since lost Jett and chosen to return to the bridge, where the others were. From down the corridor he heard yelling. He entered and saw most of the medley of Jedi, Superheroes, and Wizards at each other's throats. "What's going on?" He shouted over the various threats and insults flying around the room. "It appears we are being blamed for this attack." Obi-wan said disgruntled.

"That's because it is!" Captain America retorted. "It's because of you guys," he pointed to the Jedi, "That we've lost innocent men. You are Revan's enemies, he followed you here!"

Marek was taken aback. "Now calm down Cap." Kingsley Shacklebolt insisted. Hawkeye stood, "Why should he?" He started, "It's also your fault. Voldemort is not our enemy."

"Well he is now!" A voice spoke. As it did, silence came over the room. The forms of Albus Dumbledore, Nick Fury, and the recently arrived Yoda stood in the door way. The men moved toward the center. "Master Yoda." Marek said. He and the other Jedi bowed before the small, green, Grand Master. "We didn't know you had arrived." Anakin informed.

"Perfected the teleportation system, Dr. Boll has. Reinforcements I bring." The wise master told the others. "Albeit, at a most unopportune time." Dumbledore said, acknowledging the situation. "Perhaps, it would be best if our younger cohorts retired for the night. We shall let cooler heads prevail."

"Agree, I do." Yoda seconded.

The room began clearing out as the trio of leaders began discussing other matters. Marek and Obi-wan headed towards their quarters. "Do you see why I told you this was a bad idea?" The latter asked agitatedly. "What?" Marek replied confused. They stopped in their tracks. "I told you not to go around trusting everyone you meet. It's completely fine when we're in our galaxy, but in case you haven't noticed this isn't our galaxy!"

"Look," Marek raised his voice. Others nearby began to take notice. "Sure it's because of me we're here, but it's not my damn fault you can't play nice!" Obi-wan stood shocked. "You always choose to discard the amazing feats that fall before you. We are here because it was the will of the force. Things like this don't just happen, Obi-wan. There's always a reason." Marek pleaded.

Obi-wan began to walk away. "Oh yeah. That's right walk away. You know you're wrong. Maybe if you weren't the way you are, you would've had a future with Satine." Obi-wan stopped and turned. "Maybe if you would act like the Jedi you are, you wouldn't have had a child. Or fallen to thd Darkside! Grow up Marek!" The anger welled in his voice. "This isn't the old times. We aren't back in the Temple, training as younglings. It amazes me constantly why the Council trusted you to have the responsibility of Head Advisor. But then again it'll probably be the highest rank you get. At least I'm trusted to be on the Council. You, you're a joke and a fool." He turned and walked away. Marek was dumbfounded. "Marek." Anakin started.

"I'm fine." Marek stated calmly, "Show's over. Goodnight." He walked away.
