Not saying much, other than I'm sorry for this being very late.
I don't own Ninjago.
(Cole's POV)
The day of Thanksgiving is always one full of running around, yelling orders, and hissing curses under one's breath. At least, for us it is.
Zane's been slaving over the turkey for the past three hours with Jen assisting with the stuffing; Sam and Kai have been dueling each other over how to shape the apple, pumpkin, and, for some reason, cherry pie; Jay and Emily have been running back and forth to town to get needed supplies; and everyone else has been assisting in whatever way they can.
"Hands off that turkey!" I heard Jen yell to someone. "You'll get worms!" More than likely it was Lloyd, who just loves turkey.
"Anything I can help with?" I asked, and everyone in the kitchen turned their heads to glare at me.
"No!" I blinked at the thundering answer that I got.
"Hate to break it to you, Cole," Kai began from where he had Sam in a headlock (when I said they were dueling each other over the pie, I meant it literately), "but you and your cooking skills are just going to end up making it worse. No offense," he added hastily.
I shrugged. "None taken."
"Actually, Cole," Jen said from where she had her hand stuffed inside the bird, "you can get the dining room ready. Whenever the twins come back from their most recent errand, I'll have them help you."
That was fine with me.
(Emily's POV)
"No, move it over to the left just a tad more," I said from the doorway leading into the dining room. Jay threw me a glare while Cole hefted the table up once more and slid it over a little to the left.
"Now is it perfect?" Cole asked. I crossed my arms over my chest and studied it.
"It'll have to do, I guess," I answered slowly. The look that Jay and Cole gave each other was clear: Girls are such perfectionists, wanting everything to be just absolutely perfect in every single way.
After that, we got the tablecloth out, as well as the nametags that I did so well.
After twenty minutes of this, Cole, Jay, and I examined our work.
"I think this is worthy enough for a feast," Jay said, and Cole and I nodded.
(Sam's POV)
When it finally came time to eat, we all sat down in our respective spots, and after a ten-minute long prayer (courtesy of Josh, and with no exaggeration), we finally got to dig in.
The turkey just fell off the bones, it was so tender; the gravy was fragrant and delicious; the mashed potatoes were so creamy; the green bean casserole was heaven in every bite; so on and so forth.
After that came the pie that Kai and I dueled over in how to shape it. In the end, he got the apple, me the pumpkin, and we shared the cherry. Although thinking about it now, why did we do cherry? None of us even like cherry pie! Except for the dragons, who decided to drop by in human form. It turns out that dragons love cherry pie, so they eat the entire thing in ten or so minutes.
"I'm stuffed," Lloyd said, leaning back in his chair, pushing his plate away from him.
"Me too," Emily agreed, and one by one we all pushed our plates away, some cleaner than others.
"And for washing the dishes...one, two, three...not it!" Nya said.
"Not it!" We all clamored at the same time, except for Jordan who was still feasting.
"Wha'?" she managed around a mouthful of mashed potatoes, gravy, and turkey.
"You have to wash the dishes all by yourself," Rachel said, a little on the smug side. Jordan's eyes suddenly grew large.
"No fair!" the Death Kunoichi all but yelled.
"I'll help you," Josh volunteered, but then shrank slightly back into his chair at the withering glare that Jordan threw him.
"Alright," Cole sighed, "we'll all help."
Sorry for it being super crappy, but I did this in under an hour. Hope it was good, and tell me in the reviews, please.
