I do not own D. Gray Man.

A long time has passed, he could tell, but even so his body did not listen to him. As he lay there he could only think when would this darkness end, when will those dreams stop coming. They were very heartbreaking, angered, sorrow, happiness filled that they were wrecking Allen's sanity. The one who affected him most in those dreams was Kanda. He was in every one of them and even if was presence wasn't exactly there were he was, for example, when he was in this so called Asian Branch, his mind was filled of Kanda. Kanda was apparently what had kept him going in those tough times even if they were never close, but oh how much he ached to be Kanda's number one. It was very selfish of him considering they were at war and the excorcists had no itme to be thinking of suck petty things such as love. Days passed like that, his mind worrying whether it would be wise or foolish to tell his emotions to the samurai once he saw him again or keep it himself like he has. When he got to see Kanda again, it was far from a happy reunion, however, Allen was happy inside, he didn't show it. While they were bickering, their enemy got away, which Kanda blamed him of course.

Early morning, classical music could be heard along the the halls of the Order. Kanda was in the training room, clashes of Mugen could be heard against the wooden dummies as thumps as they fell lifelessly to the floor. It had been a long time since he came here and was surprised the building was still standing. He wore the same clothes from when he was actually in the Order, Lavi running around with Lenalee like little kids, wanting to go through every nook and cranny they have missed of the Order. They had spent a week cleaning it up to make look as it did years ago. The reason behind this was for Moyashi, everyone agreed, sure that it would help him, even the ex-Noah. That was the only difference, the Noah were also in the Order, a temporary agreement for Allen and also to see if they can trust them now. Kanda let his sword down and wiped the sweat from his brow, he sighed and looked at the open doors, remembering the days that Allen would come in here to spar with him. He sheathed Mugen and quietly walked out heading to the showers. He coat shuffled quietly behind him as he slipped it on again but leaving it open.

As he neared the doors of the showers, he heard water running, it confused him. Who would be taking a shower this early in morning? Everyone was out buying necessary things in the Order to live in again, except Lavi and Lenalee and Moyashi was asleep. He doubted Lavi would be in here, so that only left... Kanda eyes widened and he quickly walked in going to the shower in which the noise was coming from and he quickly pulled the curtain to the side. That done, a high pitched scream was heard that made him flinch and he quickly covered Allen's mouth before the other two could hear. Allen glared at Kanda as he moved his hand off. "What are you doing Bakanda?!" Kanda stared at the Moyashi ignoring his question, then he moved forward slipping off his coat and stepped under the water not minding that his bottoms and boots got wet and grabbed the Moyashi's chin then kissed him hard.

Allen was surprised, he never thought this would happen to him, especially fro Kanda! He struggled against Kanda, but the samurai just held him tighter by his arms. When Allen showed no sign of giving in, Kanda pulled back confused. "What's wrong with you, Moyashi?" Allen growled "It's Allen, Bakanda," Kanda eyes narrowed at Allen's answer, "What year are we in?" Allen looked at Kanda as if he had gone crazy. "What kind of question is that? It's 1883, of course." Kanda eyes widened and he stepped back from the Moyashi as if he had slapped him. "Moyashi..." Allen frowned getting angrier by the second because Kanda wouldn't give him privacy and was acting like if he had gone crazy. "Leave me alone Bakanda, I need to finish my shower," he said as he pushed the japanese man out. Kanda stumbled back almost falling and Allen stared at him wide eyes, Kanda would never stumble by a mere push. "K-Kanda are you okay?" he said as he neared the usually stoic man that now looked as if the soul had been sucked out of him. He shook the man a little, wondering what had happened, and Kanda immediately snapped out of and stood up straight. Finish your shower Moyashi, I'll meet up with you later.

Kanda walked away, leaving Allen completely confused. The samurai searched for Laci and Lenalee since they were the ones he can tell so far. He soon found them in the bottom where Havlaska once resided, which now was empty space like the empty seats that once one full of people surrounding her. They had sorrowful looks on their faces and Kanda was quiet for a moment of were Hevlaska used to be then stepped forward determined. "Allen got his memory back," they both jumped and turned to look back at Kanda surprised. "H-how? When?" Lenalee asked hopeful. He shook his head, not having an answer, "However, he does not remember his current life, he thinks we are still in 1883's," their eyes widened in surprised and sadness. They soon moved back up to the floor and jumped when they saw Allen there, excluding Kanda, he was dressed in the clothes he had back then but the tie was missing from around his neck and instead was tied around his hair.

"What are you guys doing down there? Is something wrong with Hevlaska?" the boy asked curiously. Kanda stepped out and shook his head, "No, she's fine, let's go." He took Moyashi's arm which made him scowl and he roughly pulled his arm away, "What's wrong with you Bakanda? Why are you acting like this recently?" The other two looked at Kanda as if telling him not to say anything. "Tch, what did you do yesterday Moyashi?" Lenalee and Lavi now looked at Allen as he was frowning at the taller boy, "What do you what I did? You were there, you even stabbed me." The other's eyes widened starring at Kanda not because they didn't know, but because they were surprised that Allen's memory had chosen to continue there. "Where is everyone anyways? Its so quiet despite the Earl's attack. What is going on?" Kanda sighed running his fingers through his hair and closing his eyes, "We will explain everything to you when Komui gets back" Allen looked frustrated and confused now, "Where did Komui-san go? Why can't you just tell me now?" Kanda was about to lash out at the boy, this was irritating him a lot, first Allen didn't remember his past nor anyone he knew, now he didn't knew that any years have past and thought he was back in the life and war in the Order. Lenalee noticed Kanda's irritation and pulled Allen quickly away, "Come on Allen-kun, let's go for a walk" Allen was going to say no, but then he noticed Kanda's tensed muscles and pained face and he let Lenalee drag him away, but he kept looking at Kanda's figure as Lavi patted his back.

Once outside, Allen looked around and felt like he wasn't in the order, he could see tall building around, trees only around the land of the order, making it look like an inhabited world. Lenalee looked at the silver-haired boy sadly and Allen turned to face her. "What happened Lenalee? What has happened to me?" Lenalee just hugged him feeling Allen desperateness, "Just be patient." Allen sighed given in to the comfort the girl was giving him, his mind jumbled, thoughts swarming in and out.

Lavi, Lenalee, Allen, Kanda, Komui, Cross, Tiedoll, and the ex-Noahs had all gathered around in Komui's old office that had now been restored. Allen was feeling fidgety as he sat between Kanda and Lenalee, rest either leaning against the wall or sitting in another chair, the floor, surprisingly, to Allen, it was free of papers. Komui fixed his hat on his head and sighed before pulling up his glasses. "Allen-kun we are no longer in the year in which we were destroying Akuma and battling Noah's." Allen looked confused by the sudden information and stared incredulous at Komui then at the others as if waiting for everyone to laugh and say it was a big joke. However, no one was laughing, and even some had their head bowed while other gave him pitiful looks or hard ones. Like Kanda, he was staring at him intently which him scared and want to shrink into himself and crawl back into bed hoping to wake up from this strange dream. First Kanda had come into the shower with him, and now they were telling him it wasn't the date he thought it was? Just what was going on?

"Idiot Apprentice" the fearsome voice suddenly snapped him out of his thoughts and he almost glared at his Master before actually remembering he was his Master. "Yes shisho?" Cross had noticed the almost glare, "Komui isn't lying if that is what you are thinking. We have died our deaths either caused or natural, your was natural, as everyone in here expect for the Noah." This made Allen whirl glaring at the four that were mentioned and currently leaning against the wall. The sight of them gave him an insight of something that had happened recently but he couldn't believe that it had actually happened and Cross spoke again claiming his attention again. "We have all died here expect Kanda, which because of his "power" he has been alive and remained the same age, unlike the others." This time he looked towards Kanda who was now looking at the floor, but he could see a haunted, lonely look in his eyes. He had the sudden urge to go over to him and embrace the long haired samurai. Before he could reject the thought, however, he was pushed against Kanda, who instantly wrapped his arms around the Moyashi to steady him, surprise evident in his eyes as well as Allen's along with a glare as they both looked back to see a whistling Lavi. Before either could kill him, Cross spoke once more, "In other words Idiot Apprentice, something happened to you along your reincarnation, as well as Rhode's," this caught him by surprise as he turned to the small girl who was currently being carried by Tyki and she was sleeping oblivious to the things going on around her. "And we have been trying to find out why, but all we could come up with was the Noah that was in you, as to Rhode, we aren't sure." Cross finished.

Allen took in all this information and could almost feel a forming headache. After a while, Cross had finished his explanation as well as the others giving their information as to what has happened during the time they were reborn and met again. After that they were dismissed and Kanda let out the boy to his old room which still had the clown portrait in it and he sat on the bed with a small sigh. He didn't remember having felt this tired in a long time as he leaned back on his hands looking up at the ceiling letting out a sigh as Kanda stared at him. A comfortable silence through them before Kanda broke it, "So what are you going to do now? Do you believe what they said?" Allen looked at him confusion still evident in his eyes but overlaid with acceptance that made Kanda slightly calm. "Well as to seeing that no one has popped randomly and yell "April Fools!" or "Oh, it was just a joke" I guess I have no choice but to believe it right?" Kanda sighed feeling a sort of relief before Allen continued, "Also, if it were a joke, I don't think you would be participating considering that jokes aren't your thing." Kanda nodded knowing what the Moyashi was true. However, before he could make a move, Allen was before him, a pale hand placed upon his cheek. It made him slightly scared and surprised that the Moyashi was able to catch him off guard.

"Kanda, were you alone all this time?" Allen asked, a hint of sadness, guilt and remorse in his voice. It pained him to hear that from the person he loved, but gave a simple nod then that had was sliding from his cheek to around his neck along with his other arm. "I wish you hadn't gone through that, I wish I could have been with you." The walls he had built when coming back to this place almost immediately started breaking down as he wrapped his arms around the small body and pressing it flush against him as he buried his face in the silver-white hair. He couldn't form words to say and enjoyed the comfortable silence between them once again. Allen pulled back and Kanda almost pulled him back against his body but knew that Allen had something to say. "Kanda, I love you." this, however, was not what he was expecting from the bean sprout, he never expected for him to have the same feelings and while he felt immensely glad, something inside made him doubt.

Allen felt Kanda tense and immediately regretted his words and stepped away from the samurai. "I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to say that..." He laughed nervously rubbing the back of his head in mock embarrassment to hide his sadness. Kanda saw through this however, having spent days, months even, observing the Moyashi, and immediately brought back into an embrace. "After all I have been through, after all I have seen, you don't know how happy those words make me feel." Kanda said as he tightened his arms around the small body and could feel the quickening heartbeat against his own chest. Soon the small arms returned the embrace and a small smile graced his lips and Kanda couldn't help but press his own lips on the pale rosy ones which elicited a moan of surprise from the other which Kanda did not spoil the chance that was given to him and quickly moved his tongue into the warm cavern of Allen's. The sweet moment lasted but a minute when suddenly a deep rumble interrupted them. The pulled away a blush tainting the other's cheeks as his hands went to his stomach. "S-sorry, I haven't eaten breakfast." Kanda just chuckled and shook his head and grabbed the Moyashi's hand. "Come on, I'll take you out to eat" at this Allen smiled appreciatively at Kanda and gave him an excited nod before they exited the room and out the order into the world that awaited the Moyashi's presence. And what a sight would the Moyashi have at coming to know the world he once knew in a new light.
