I don't own D. Gray Man
A while had passed and Allen was used to the new world around him. As promised, Kanda taught him how to drive and he learned new things. Sometimes he would get flashes of the life he had lived up until then but it wasn't anything definite. Rhode still had yet to recover her memories, but she continued to hang around Allen like always. Even if the Noah had once been enemies they had now taken residence within the building of The Order. Some of the previous exorcists and finders had their own residences, but they visited frequently. Kanda and Allen had their own home. It was both modeled with an english and japanese culture. Sometimes, however Allen's eye would get terrible pains and even if he had no scar, meaning no curse, he could feel the burning need to look for something that he knew no longer existed. Kanda and him had gone to Komui to ask him why his eye was reacting like this, but he didn't have any idea or answer for it. Some of the people from the Order had continued to their search for their old comrades, but most were too busy in their life they had now that they didn't think much of the past.
At this time, both Kanda and Allen were laying in bed, but while Kanda was sleeping, Allen stared at the moonlit ceiling. He couldn't sleep, that much was obvious. Something had been bothering him at the back of his head, he didn't know what, he couldn't make it out. This has been happening the last few days, and Kanda was growing worried by his distant behavior, but he didn't know what he should answer him with. He really didn't want him to worry, but he couldn't stop himself from feeling the way he was. He let out a quiet sigh and carefully moved Kanda's arm off of his torso and carefully climbed out of bed, making his way to the kitchen. The house was almost eerily quiet, but moonlight was coming in through every window. Kanda and Allen preferred it that way. As he neared the kitchen, turning on the light wasn't necessary and he served himself a cup of water. As he drank it, a heavy presence suddenly dropped on his shoulders and the glass fell from his hand, shattering to the floor. He leaned over the counter holding his head. Pain was traveling from his skull to his left eye again and suddenly the memory of the pain he felt when Mana gave him the curse, not just physically, but also emotionally, came springing back to life. A scream parted from his lips as he stumbled back feeling warm liquid seeping through his fingers.
As Kanda heard the scream, he bolted out of bed immediately taking notice that his Moyashi wasn't there and walked quickly towards where he heard the scream. Nearing the kitchen, he spotted the silver haired boy crouched over the table, a now blood stained hand over his left. Allen did not seem to have noticed him because he was just staring frightened at the table, a faint whisper of Mana and Neah being heard under his breath. What caught his attention next was the faint red marks coming on his left shoulder, but Allen did not take notice of this as the pain in his eye were greater. The next moment was from a sight of suprise to Kanda dashing towards Allen as he slipped from the table, his expression of someone who had just passed out.
A piano? From where? Last time he checked, he and Kanda had never bought a piano. So where was the melody coming from? And even more so why did it sound familiar? Why can't he remember?
His eyes blinked open, the familiar morning sun shining through and almost blinding him. It was quiet, too quiet. He looked around, realizing he was back in his room. When did I get here? Last time he was in the kitchen. What had happened? The squeak of the door opening caught his attention and he saw Komui walk in followed by Kanda. "Ah, you are awake Allen-kun, how are you feeling?" Allen blinked, why was asking that? "I feel fine, did something happen?" Kanda and Komui looked at each other causing a frown to form on Allen's brow. "You fainted." Was all Kanda said as he moved over and leaned against the wall crossing his arms as Komui came over to check over him. Had he? All he remembered was drinking water, but that could explain why he didn't remember anything else. As Komui moved back, he sat up, no sign of dizziness. "Um, well I feel fine now." He gave Kanda a reassuring smile which Kanda just responded by an unreadable stare then grabbed a hand mirror that was on the drawer beside him and went over to Allen and brought it up to his face.
Allen gave Kanda a confused look before looking towards the mirror and it took a few seconds before his eyes widened and his hand went to his face. "H-how... When?" He looked worriedly at the other two in the room then back at the mirror moving his hair back to see the familiar pentagram on his forehead. Then noticing the marks on his shoulder moving his shirt to the side to see it on his chest. However, his arm was still the same normal skin color, but his hand had the small indent of a cross, or as if a cross hand been burnt into his skin, there was no innocence. He looked frightened up at Kanda. "W-what happened to me?" Kanda shook his head before setting the mirror down. "I heard you scream and when I reached the kitchen, you were bleeding from your eye and the marks were forming. Komui spoke up for the first time in a while, "I'll look into this Allen-kun. Don't worry yourself, okay?" With a numb nod as a response, Komui patted Kanda shoulder and walked out. "Come on, lets get you into the shower then we can go out to eat something." Allen looked up at Kanda and noticed the warmth in his eyes. He was trying to comfort him, and with a more firm nod he allowed Kanda to help him up and lead to the bathroom.
After a shower and a small breakfast which was bizarre for Allen, they dressed up and went out, having made plans to hang out with Rhode, Lavi, And Tyki. Arriving at the set location, Lavi ran up to the car leaning over Allen's opened window. "Kanda, Moyashi, have you guys ate yet? We decided to go to the park and have a picnic." Both Kanda and Lavi waited for a response from Allen, but it didn't come. The boy was staring at Rhode that was standing in front of the car, her hand in Tyki's and she stared right back, but their was a light in their eyes that could have been a glare towards each other. Kanda placed his hand on Allen's shoulder and with a slight jump, he turned towards Kanda, "Huh? Oh, yeah lets go have a picnic, I'm starving!" he grinned getting Kanda's hand and giving it a small squeeze. Lavi stared at Allen, with narrowed eyes before a grin pulled onto his face. "Alright then, we will see you there." He pulled back from the car and Kanda drove out of the parking lot making his way to the park. Lavi returned to Tyki'sc car, both of them already in there. Taking the passenger seat, he didn't notice the side long glance that Tyki gave him, lost in his own thoughts as they also drove to the park.
Arriving there, they immediately spotted the other two as they leaned against a tree hand in hand talking quietly amongst themselves. Lavi sighed and took the blanket from the back and Tyki the food, holding Rhode's hand again and they went up the hill. As they settled, Allen seemed to be well again, consuming the food like no tomorrow and sometimes talking at the same time, which was rewarded with a slap on the back of his head or a glare from Kanda. A while after eating, Tyki brought out a stack of cards, making Kanda groan and Lavi take a step back, already seeing the evil aura seeping from Allen. "Ne, cheating boy A, think you can beat me this time?" A grin was his response, "Of course, you'll never be able to beat me" With that, their game started, but with the presence of Rhode and the glares of Kanda, they had to keep it to their upper clothes only. Lavi and Kanda at one point joined too, it was the only game Allen lost, to Kanda. To say the least, they all knew he was distracted, focusing more on Kanda's chest then the game itself.
After donning their clothes again, they decided to go for a walk. That was when Tyki brought it up. "Allen, when did you get the pentagram back on your face?" He asked cautiously. Allen tensed for a bit before resuming his walking again and shook his head, opening his mouth to answer, but the answer never came. They all looked at Allen, a petrified look on his face as he stared forward. Turning to face the direction he was, Tyki was surprised to say the least, and only him because he was the only one that really knew who that person was on the other side of the bridge, leaning against the pole. With a trembling breath, Allen spoke, "N-Neah, the fourteenth Noah..."
