Chapter 6 : A date?

Draco kept staring at him, obviously asking for a more detailed explanation. Harry bit his lip and started fidgeting nervously. He was not really sure about what he was about to do.

"Look Mal-I mean Draco, I know we don't really get along but we should! I mean… I'd like to keep hanging around…"

Draco smiled to him- a genuine smile and Harry couldn't help it but beam; he felt all warm inside. "There's this party tonight-celebrating the return of the Slytherin Prince- I'll pick you up at 8, be ready" and with a smirk Draco gracefully turned and went away.

True to his words, Draco was at the Fat Lady at eight sharp and to his dismay the Golden Boy was late- not that it was a surprise though. Some minutes later the emerald boy merged looking quite decent with his black slacks and forest green shirt perfectly complementing his eyes.

With a swish flick of his wand Draco had his work done. "A simple metamorphosis charm" he explained handing a small mirror to Harry. True, his hair was a few shades lighter making it a sweet Hazel and his features sharper and Draco had added some freckles over his cheeks. However his green eyes were still as piercing as before. "Perfect" Harry mused gingerly touching his new face and now ready to enter the snakes' pit.

Harry didn't know why he felt so nervous. He had long admitted to himself that he had feelings for the Malfoy but going with him like this-it felt like a date and Harry couldn't help but blush to his inappropriate thoughts.

"Be careful what you drink," Draco advised while entering the Slytherin Common room. "I won't get drunk, Malfoy!" Draco smirked "There's no alcohol at Slytherin Parties-we grew over that" and with that a deafening cheer was heard and Harry was stunned to see all the Slytherins gathered together welcoming back Draco.

Indeed Harry had long lost Draco in the sea of snakes. The room was quickly turned into a dancefloor, the lights and neons flashing around. It looked like a muggle night club. Harry went for a drink-looking at the strange buffet all sorts of coloured liquids were displayed..

"New here?" a dark-haired boy asked "I saw you enter with Malfoy, nobody is going to question you" he said gulping a shot of aqua liquid which promptly turned his hair to fire. "A hint," he said while walking away "have fun, none of them are deadly, Snape would kill us else". Fireboy was already slithering his way through the dancing crowd.

Harry watched as another girl came and swallowed a funnel of a smokey purple liquid-different forms of runes showed on her body, her eyes flashing a seductive yellow and she got away. So it was potions, 'Really?' Harry mused.

He grabbed a silver-looking funnel and swallowed. Nothing. Weird. He took another green one-still nothing. Maybe it worked only on Slytherins? He mixed the two and gulped. He felt a sharp pain in his belly but that was it. He decided on no more potions! As he made up his mind, Draco finally found him.

"Mind a dance?" Harry couldn't resist the smirk of the blond and took the offered hand with an eyeroll. He didn't fail to notice however how different the snakes' dancing pattern differed from the lions- Gryffindors were more the grinding and rolling type whereas Slytherins were more enchanting and twisting. He laughed aloud to those ironic thoughts and how it fit. Draco had only raised an elegant brow and pulled his partner closer.

Harry's night was perfect-he even felt like Cinderella. However, his bubble broke when Malfoy offered to take him back to the tower. He didn't want to leave. "I got another idea" he smirked while dragging the blond to the other side of the castle. "Where we going Harry?" Harry only smiled and brought him to the 7th floor.

The Room of Requirements appeared moments later. "One last night?" Harry offered with a small smile. He didn't plan that-it just came along…he did want to though. "Lead the way" came Draco's smooth reply.

The room was a cozy one with black and white decor. A marble fireplace, two plush leather sofas, a small table loaded with firewhiskey and huge windows that reflected the almost full moon.

Harry's mood suddenly fell, the moon reminded him of the events of last night. As if sensing his distress, Draco stretched and yawned. "I don't know about you but I'm dead sleepy Harry", on his command a bed appeared in the room-it looked fluffy and inviting with large white pillows and pitch black comforter. Harry smiled without thinking and jumped unceremoniously on it.

"As elegant as usual," Draco chuckled while joining him. Harry stuck out his tongue and fell along with Draco. It was only after a few seconds that the awkwardness settled in. What were they thinking? Sharing a bed? Even without having anything forcing them? It was too mush-they weren't that close friends to share a bed-they were barely friends!

Lying there was feeling so awkward, the atmosphere was so tensed. Draco had to break the silence. He cleared his throat and turned to his right where the sole other bed occupant was residing and opened his mouth, when words failed to come out he shook his head and tried again.

"Harry, I don't think we should be-" the blond was never able to finish his line of thought. All of his countenance melted away to the pair of soft, hot lips pressed against his. This was so wrong!
