Here's chapter 5 :

Chapter 5:

Cross Academy. The prestigious school that held praise in the vampire world and human communities. A co-ed school holding it's own grounds, privately owned and equipped with the highest facilities.

Kyo finished reading the review from the hunter associations library. Slamming the thick surface of the book hard, nearly shaking the table and resonating a 'shh!' from the worker that sat at the front desk.

A school for vampires AND hunters under the same roof. It was nothing but trouble. This really had to be the worst idea Shigure ever had! Kyo thought indignantly mumbling curses. The Sun was out and slowly made way to descending, he had packed early glancing at the half folded paper in his pocket. He cut through tall shelves and several tables.

6:29 PM

He had remember the second attachment to his letter, a schedule of when his transport would arrive, if he missed the it, and so on. He couldn't imagine it 'Papa will escort you to school~'

Shuddering slightly he drifted past the bulked doors to stop at a weathered stone step, he lifted his gaze to the clock posted outside and frowned.

6:30 PM

The directions appointed the association headquarters as his stop, yet, the streets were unusually empty. No children, no vendors, as if they had simply vanished without a trace.

A sharp wind whipped around causing him to curl his coat tightly. He was adorned with a worn out trench coat and dark cotton slacks that fit him comfortably. It was then that a car stopped where he stood, dark glass reflected his silhouette. This brought a whole new meaning to the 'see no evil' he thought. With a click the rear door opened greeting him with plush seats and a curtain that was splayed across. At the end of the seat sat a letter. Kyo flinched in his thoughts when he took notice of the 'neat' chauffeur holding the door.

"This way please."

The older man gestured with a gloved hand holding his luggage. When did he take it? Nodding he slid inside and the door closed. No sooner did the engine start up and buildings zoomed past. Drooping he rested his head on a propped neck rest, setting his hands lazily to consume as much space as possible; he twirled the precise letter disinterested.

Pausing momentarily to grumble when the vehicle jumped slightly, his eyes keened in now at the urge to see the contents inside, groaning in defeat he pried the letter open allowing the loose envelope to flutter down.

'Kyonkichi~

Papa again! If you're reading this then I won't have to go pick you up (too bad!). I'll be waiting for you at the bridge so I hope you get a good nap because we're gonna spend a lot of time-

His brows furrowed in a curve, damn dog. It was ridiculous that the man could have such a short attention span and be responsible for an entire school. He shuddered at the thought 'spend time'.

you'll be here by tomorrow, hope to see you then,

Love Papa'

Closing his eyes he allowed sleep to purloin him away as his mind drifted between reality and dream, minding not the letter that remained long forgotten and now swayed to the carpeted ground.
