So remember...this is on the same night as the prologue and Alice is now telling the beginning of the story.
"Whilst on my journey of the world above I could only think of Underland. I still felt extremely bad for leaving, but like I had said...I had things that needed doing. My journey above had been extremely successful and there was nothing tying me down there any more.
So when the day finally came for me to say goodbye to my old world...I was grateful.
I had told my family that I would keep in contact and as you know, I still do. Now I know that I am boring you with this so I will just skip to the day when I finally returned."
Flashback...
"Absolem are you sure that you know where the hole is?" I asked.
"Yes you stupid girl!"
"But we have been walking for ages!"
"McTwisp had to make a new one because the other had been filled in whilst you were travelling. Look! There it is now."
I looked forward and sure enough it was there. I walked to the edge of it and placed my bag on the ground next to me.
"I can't believe I am going back!"
"Well it isn't a dream!"
"Thank you so much Absolem." I would have hugged him if I could.
I knelt on the ground and just before I was about to fall in I saw a small head pop out of the hole. I then did something which I will always regret...I screamed!
"Oh my ears and whiskers I'm sorry!"
"Oh sorry McTwisp I just wasn't expecting that."
"Yes well...you two are late!"
"The stupid girl kept asking me if I knew where the hole was." Absolem tutted.
"Can we just leave now please. I want to go to Underland!"
McTwisp looked back to me. "Oh yes certainly! Mustn't waste time." I picked up my bag and followed McTwisp down the rabbit hole.
