"What a nice day, isn't it?" you said happily as you walked with Levi, hands intertwined.

"Hm." he hummed in response.

"I'm glad you suggested taking a walk. But where exactly are we going?"

"Just up the hill."

After a while more of walking, you made it up there.

"So why up here?" you asked

"Because, look at the sunset." Levi replied, pointing out over the horizon.

"It's lovely." You responded.

"Not as lovely as you." He responded awkwardly.

"Huh?" you responded, turning to look at him. Levi was not the type to say a thing like that.

"I mean, um you're prettier than the sunset."

"I got that… but I mean… why would you say that?"

"Hey I can be nice!" Levi said, getting defensive.

"No, I know. I just… it's not like you to be so… cheesy…"

"Dammit I knew I shouldn't have listened to her."

"To who?" you asked. After he didn't respond, you realized. "Hanji? Did she tell you to do this? Levi, you need to stop listening to her. I'm perfectly happy with you just as you are. Stop trying to be someone else."

"I just…" he trailed off before speaking again "I just want to make you happy." He murmured.

"I'm very happy, Levi. Just as long as you're here."

His eyes met yours and he cupped your cheek with his hand what wasn't holding yours.

"I love you." He said quietly. "You know, right?"

"Yes, I know." You said with a smile. "And I love you."
