That Warm Feeling
A brunette was laying in her bed, her sapphire eyes tired and her face faint red. She sat up, making the blanket on her chest fall down on her lap, revealing her red pajamas. "Ah— ACHOO!" A sneeze came out, echoing throughout the room. Some of her snot came out, so she sucked it up, causing an odd noise to come out.
"Ew, May. I thought you would be more sanitized than that."
She whipped her head slowly to her left to see her childhood friend who wore an odd white hat on his head and a soft smile on his face, sitting on a stool next to her bed. She groaned upon laying eyes on him.
"How long have you been here?" she asked, blinking.
"Ever since you were snoring in your sleep," he replied, laughing and ignoring her rough greeting.
"If you weren't the champion, I would've totally made you sick by rubbing my snot on you. Remember that," she warned him as she laid back down, pulling the blanket over her with her hand. She didn't want to move her other hand since it felt really comfortable under the blanket, warm.
"I'm going to sleep. Are you going to leave?" she asked.
"Nope, Steven has been chasing me lately. He keeps on trying to show me his rock, err... stone collection," he replied. "Plus, I can't leave you when you're in your snot phase."
She would be mad at his response, but she was too tired feeling miserable too. Also, she felt so comfortable and warm that she didn't want the moment to end.
As she fell into slumber, Brendan stood up and looked over to see her expression, making sure that she was asleep. He smiled softly at her smiling face when she turned over and snuggled up at the edge of the bed.
"You're such an idiot, not even noticing your hand," he mumbled as he gazed at her sleepy face, a faint blush going across his face. Where she snuggled up at, under the blanket, was her hand holding onto his.
A/N — This is my first attempt at drabbles, and I can't write 100 words but 400 :/ oh well, it's a short story then ^-^ Well anyways, sorry if its bad DX I'm terrible at short stories. They are so amazing, but so hard to write omg.
