"I'm in love with him, Phineas!"

"See, Isla, I offer to you my most heartfelt apologies," Phineas says fairly, "really, I do, but I'm afraid that I cannot continue to call you my sister should you marry that horrible man - if one can label him as a man! Unfortunately, I do believe that this love of yours should be labeled as something no greater than an object."

"Phineas - "

"Speak no more, Isla. You have besmirched the name of Black, and you shall no longer be considered one of its members."

"What has happened that has made you such a coarse man?!"

"My dear Isla, I must ask you what has happened that has made you so fallible to the whims of filth."

"At least I have not succumbed in love to a woman who will never love me, unlike a heartless man I know."

Phineas's face contorts in fury. "Get out! Get out!"

"Phineas, I do love Bob with all my soul, but you are my brother, and I have a a great familial love for you. Really, Phineas, I love you."

His eyebrows raise, and he finds the truth in her pleading statement.

"I despise you."
