Don't own Inuyasha… cries .o.o.

"Mama?" The soft somewhat sleepy call from the small boy in the once quiet dark room caused both his parents to freeze in their... compromising positions.

"U-um... what is it s-sweetheart?" Kagome was utterly mortified to be caught in this situation with her mate by their three year son; she only could pray that his normally sharp eye sight would be still clouded by sleep until she could get herself under control... and get Inuyasha off of her. "Inuyasha move."

"Kagome seriously!? How did he get out of his room anyway... I thought you sealed it," Inuyasha couldn't believe how unlucky he truly was, these past several months had been rather tough on his family, with what happen during the time of the birth of his second pup and the nightmares Kagome had been having after there was hardly any time for the two of them to be intimate; and just when she had begun to feel comfortable again and Inuyasha was in the middle of releasing months worth of sexual frustration with her their son decided to interrupt... it just wasn't his lucky day.

"I-I did put a seal on the door... don't you dare think about continuing now Inuyasha our son is right there!" Kagome tried to push her much heavier mate off her and get a sheet wrapped around her body before their child started asking questions that she wasn't ready to answer; even though Inu was just a toddler he was still very smart and thanks to his demon blood he probably already knew what was going on which made his mother blush even more.

Feeling the moment slipping away and how angry his mate was becoming the longer his refused to move Inuyasha sighed in defeat and carefully removed himself from Kagome's body; he didn't care if the boy saw him naked because it wasn't uncommon for their kind to be so around their close family but Kagome, being human, would flip out if he didn't cover himself up also. Once everything was covered, and Inuyasha had a pillow covering his lap to hide his arousal, he got back to his original question as to why the boy was standing in their room when he should be in his.

When Inu began to crawl, and then eventually walk, Kagome told Inuyasha that their nightly activities would not continue until he found a way to keep the pup from coming into their room; where Inuyasha wouldn't care if the boy saw them mating, Kagome didn't want to ruin Inu's childhood innocence by stumbling upon them. Inuyasha refused to not be allowed to touch his mate at night so he went to the town's local pervert for some answers on how to keep pups in their rooms while their parents needed some alone time; Miroku had to have know some type solution to his problem since he had three children now... and he was currently working on the forth.

Well after having to deal with his friend's teasing for an hour, and eventually having to tell Miroku the reason he wanted the information, the monk told him that he could probably use a simple sutra with a bit of Kagome's power in it to keep the pup in his room at night. Inuyasha quickly ran home to tell Kagome and though she was hesitant to try he convinced her that it wouldn't hurt the pup and they would only do so on nights that he slept all night that way if he did want to get out he wouldn't be trapped; the last thing they needed was Inu trying to get out of his room and unable to then using his powers and having to explain to the whole village that they simply wanted a little alone time.

Inuyasha was pulled from his thoughts when he felt the futon shift, Kagome had completely covered her body with their sheet and was facing the pup, "Inu-kun, what's wrong baby... did you have a bad dream?"

"Keh, I'm having a bad night," Inuyasha mumbled under his breath which earned him a swift kick in the thigh from his woman and a harsh glare from over her shoulder.

Inu did on some level know what was going just before he arrived in his parents bedroom, it was bred into his most basic instincts, so it was rather easy for him to brush it off... but he chose not to this time. What his parents weren't aware of was that when they had started sealing his door over a year ago some of the times he wasn't actually sleeping; well his mother wasn't aware that he wasn't asleep... his father knew but chose his breeding instinct over telling his mate. At the time Inu decided to let them be, he got his mother's attention during the day and though he would rather she pay attention to him at night too every once and while he would let his father be with her. And then around the time of his second birthday his father began to hog his mother all the time, dropping him off at his uncle's hut to deal with his cousins while they disappeared into the woods and wouldn't return for hours... he didn't see how that was fair, his mother always told him to share so why didn't his father have to? Inu began to fight back drawing his mother attention once more but then her scent changed and he knew he would be having to share her once more but with a younger sibling... that didn't bother him as much as having to fight his father since he knew the new pup and him would always win no matter what.

But things changed when his little sister was born and his mother spent nearly every second of the day with both of them rather than anyone else; Inu loved the attention he received and so when his father began to try and take her away at night again he had to do something about it... he wasn't going to give up without a fight.

With this determination Inu was going to find a way around the seal his mother placed on his door, for some reason even his powers couldn't destroy it and he couldn't figure out why, but there was a different way he just discovered a very short time ago to get out... and boy would they be surprised.

"Yes dream," Inu whimpered and put on his best sad face that would make his mother melt and welcome him into her arms. It worked like a charm because a minute later Kagome motioned for the pup to come to the bedding with one hand, the other still holding up the bed sheet to her chest to shield her nakedness from her son. Inu perked up right away and ran to her side, climbed the futon and snuggled into her chest; she smelled heavily of his father but that wasn't surprising after what he interrupted, a smile came to his little face when he spotted his father looking over his mother's shoulder at him... Inu buried his face into her chest a little more to show that he had won fair and square.

"Oh please! Kagome's he's faking it," Inuyasha didn't miss the smirk on the pup's face or the fact that he was rubbing it in that he stopped their mating before it barely started, "Oi pup! You're pushing your luck."

"Inuyasha stop it, can't you see he's had a nightmare... he's trembling and you yelling at him isn't going to help anything," Kagome pulled her son closer to her body shielding him from the raging demon behind her.

"Keh... he's not scared woman, he's laughing at me," Inuyasha glared when the pup buried his nose in Kagome's neck, the boy was trying to cover his scent up with his own... no way that was happening. But just as Inuyasha was going to grab for the boy, not to hurt him or anything merely bring him back to his room and hopefully get his mate back in the mood they were in before the interruption, Inu's body glowed completely black before fading from his mother's arms causing her to cry out.

"Inu-kun! Inu where did you go!?" Kagome frantically looked around the room in search of her son, she scrambled to completely secure the sheet around her body and was about to get off the futon to turn the hut upside down; her worst fear was that Amatsu-Mikaboshi spirited the boy away while their guard was down. "Inuyasha! W-we have to find him, what... what if he was taken!?"

Inuyasha was just as worried as his mate over their pup, but he tried to put up a calm front to support her; he just turned to reach for his hakama when out of the corner of his eye he spotted a small black patch of smoke suddenly appear out of thin air close to the door, the smoke cleared and there stood the three year pup. "Oi Kagome look."

The grief stricken mother turned to look where her mate pointed and cried out again in relief when she spotted her child. "Inu-kun!"

The pup in question smelled his mother's tears and quickly ran back to her side not having time to climb on the futon again as Kagome practically snatched him up and buried her face into his hair only to cry harder so thankful he was safe. Inu didn't know why she was upset but only allowed her to hug him tighter to her, releasing a soft whimper of his own telling her he was sorry and not to cry.

Inuyasha not liking either mate or pup upset pulled both close to him and released a louder grumble from his chest to tell both of them that everything was alright now and to try and calm down; the last thing he needed was for them to wake the sleeping pup not but a few feet from the bed who was sound asleep through all this so far.

Once everyone was calm once more Inuyasha spoke up again, "Well I think I know how he got out of his room now."

Kagome pulled her face away from Inu's hair, eyes red from crying, but she tilted her head in confusion at his words, "What are you talking about?"

Inuyasha ignored her question instead looking straight at the pup in question, "You used your magic to teleport didn't you pup?" When Inu buried his head into his mother's chest again to hide his pouting expression that his father figured it out so quickly Inuyasha knew he was right.

"Teleportation? But how it that possible?" Kagome too look down to the boy in her arms once again amazed by this little being; Inu tilted his head up to face his mother with an innocent smile on his face.

"Really woman? He stopped a kami from attacking you the day he was birthed, he stopped a weeks long rain storm because he wanted to go outside and play and all the other stuff he's done in the three years he's been alive... him being able to teleport is what surprises you?" Inuyasha wanted to be mad at the boy for all that happened tonight but he just couldn't, not with how proud he was feeling at the moment in the fact that he was his son.

Inu smiled again, this time at both his parents, he knew they would be surprised at his new trick; a squeal of excitement left his lips at seeing the pride on his father's face... he was pretty sure they would have a lot of fun playing chase now and he couldn't wait to test it out tomorrow.

"Um Inuyasha you do realize what this means though right?"

"What mate?" Inuyasha reached over to both ruffle the boy's hair and secretly caress his woman's hip under the sheet... maybe if he could get the boy back to his room now then they could continue with what they started this night.

"It means he can get passed the seal, which means no 'mating' till you find another way to keep him in his room at night." Kagome tried to hide her smile when the hand on her hip suddenly stopped.

"...WHAT!?"

Note: I was thinking it would funny if Inu one night suddenly popped into mommy and daddy's room while they were otherwise a little busy. This is also the first time I've mentioned another pup other than Inu in these little one shots; since the stories are scattered throughout Inu's life you will see several other mentioned also.

I'm currently working on the next chapter for 'Seeking the Future' it's just taking some time since it's the second part of Sesshomaru's story.
