Fall Formal Research and Preparations
In the Lunch Room Twilight and company met up with Fluttershy to talk, "I know we just met but I was wondering if you could help us with something?" Carol asked.
"Of course." Fluttershy replied.
Camille then got up and stood on one of the tables before getting the attention of everyone in the cafeteria, "Guess what, everyone? Twilight's going to run against Sunset Shimmer for Princess of the Fall Formal" The entire student body stopped cold and looked like the end of the world was about to begin, "What? What did I say?"
"Fluttershy, why the heck did the student body go silent?" Carol asked.
"Running for Fall Formal Princess is a really bad idea." Fluttershy replied in worry.
"Didn't anyone try to run against Sunset Shimmer?" Carol wondered.
"One girl, during the Spring Fling last year. It ended badly. We don't talk about it."
"How bad was it?" Camille asked.
"Ooh, it was pretty bad. Like I said nobody talks about it."
"Look if we're going to run against sunset we need to know why you talk about it. Now tell us everything." Carol insisted.
"Well, Sunset Shimmer runs for everything and when she wants something she gets it. She makes things horrible for anyone who opposes her."
Camille spoke, "Sunset Shimmer is a rank amateur next to me. I ran for plenty events in my old school now tell me what she did to the last girl who ran against her?"
"Well, it was Rarity, one of our school's top Fashionista's."
"Twilight, Carol, and I need a moment to discuss," Camille said, as she pulled the three away. Once they were out of range the trio began to talk, "Okay, Twilight, if we're going to help you out we need to build a game plan. Carol, you and Aang to talk to Rarity. See if you can figure out what Sunset Shimmer did to her during the Spring Fling. Twilight, stay with Fluttershy and see if she can tell you anything else. I'll go tail Sunset Shimmer with Astral and see what she does next."
"Ok. But everyone be careful. There's something about this place that doesn't feel too right." Twilight replied
"What do you mean?" Camille asked.
"Take a look around and all these students."
Camille and Carol looked around and noticed it as well, "Now that you mention it it's like they're human versions of our pals in Equestria." Camille noticed.
"Exactly. But from what I've researched about high schools and stereotypes, they all seem to be like various ones. Athletes, Fashionistas, Dramas, Eco-Kids, Techies, and Rockers. But I don't understand why they're only socializing with the ones who share common ground and not others?"
"That is odd but we'll have to figure it out when we get there. Right now we've got a job to do." Carol reminded them. Carol and Aang went to go find Rarity and saw that they had found her.
"Excuse me, are you Rarity?" Carol asked.
There stood the human counterpart of Rarity with the same porcelain color to her skin, same hair style, and her attire included purple boots, a purple skirt, and a short sleeved blue top, "Why yes, darling. How can I help you?"
"I was wondering if you could tell me about the Princess of the Spring Fling event."
Suddenly Rarity looked hesitant and asked suspiciously, "Why?"
"I'm trying to help a new student dethrone Sunset Shimmer once and for all."
Rarity was worried, "Your friend must obviously have a death wish if she thinks she can go up against Sunset Shimmer. Many have already tried and failed to dethrone her. I have failed."
"How did you fail?"
"I thought I could help everyone to show their school spirit by showing them we were all Canterlot Wonder Colts deep down. Until she stepped in and posted these false pictures and videos of me doing acts I would never be caught dead doing."
"Such as?" Carol asked.
"Some pictures were of me wearing outfits I had sent to my reject pile, and some videos were spliced scenes of me in my not so best moments."
"Like falling into manure and wearing men's underwear and what not?"
Rarity shuddered, "Unfortunately."
"I take it she took naked pictures of you and had those spread all over the internet?" Carol guessed.
"Yes. I've never felt so embarrassed in all my life. I didn't want to leave my home."
"Oh dear. This is worse than I thought."
"So if your friend plans on running against her, she'd better be careful."
"Don't worry I got a Secret weapon to help her. We'll talk later."
Meanwhile Twilight was having a word with Fluttershy about what was happening, "So why does everyone stick with their own kind?" Twilight asked.
"Mostly it's because Sunset Shimmer had them divided through all her tactics," Fluttershy explained, "But the only thing they do have in common. Is that they know Sunset Shimmer's going to rule this school until graduation."
"The divide and Conquer strategy. That was Camille's favorite Tactic. She used to divide her enemies up like that." Twilight explained.
"Your friend was like that?"
"She was but we reformed her."
Just then Carol came over, "Fluttershy, I did what you asked and I spoke to Rarity about the Spring Fling."
"And did Rarity tell you anything?" Twilight asked.
"Sunset Shimmer uses blackmail to make anyone who competes against her fall apart."
"Good thing she doesn't have anything on Twilight then." Camille said.
"Still, if she rules this school as they say I fear she'll have anybody around looking to dig up dirt." Carol warned her.
"Kinda like how Mindy sent her drones in to do her dirty work." Camille said.
"We'll worry about that later right now we've got to find the head of the Party Planning committee." Twilight replied.
"You can find her in the gymnasium." Fluttershy said.
The trio and their pets went to go to the gym, "Hello. I'm told that this is where the head of the Party Planning Committee is?" Twilight called out.
"Incoming!" Suddenly a barrage of streamers fell on them. The trio turned to see another familiar face to them.
"Pinkie Pie?" Twilight gasped.
"Are you the head of the Party Planning Committee?" Camille asked.
Indeed it was Pinkie Pie as a human with the same poofy hair style, and wore a blue vest, with a white shirt with purple lining and a pink heart in the middle of it, a big pink skirt surrounded by a purple bow that worked like a belt and had two blue balloons and one yellow balloon on it, blue boots that each had a pink bow above the laces, and a blue bracelet on each arm.
"That's me, and how did you know my name? Are you psychic?" the girl gasped.
Carol Twilight and Camille knew that Camille could handle all forms of Magic and Spirit Energy but were unsure how to tell Pinkie Pie this, "Sure let's go with that." Camille answered.
"So what does Twilight have to do to enter the competition for the Princess of the Fall Formal Crown?" Carol asked.
"Well, the dance is the day after tomorrow. All Twilight has to do is sign up." Pinkie pulled out a clipboard and pen from her poofy hair.
"Twilight has never used a pen before so can I sign her up in her place?" Camille requested.
"How can anyone have not used a pen before?" Pinkie asked in confusion.
"Long story. Twilight's not from around here." Carol answered.
"Ok." Pinkie replied.
So they signed Twilight's name to the clipboard, "And they're you go, Twilight. Now I'd like something to drink." Camille said.
"Somebody order a dozen cases of Fizzy apple cider?" A voice called.
They looked to the gym entrance seeing a girl walk in carrying some cases, "Ooh, that'd be me!" Pinkie answered.
The trio then got a good look at the girl as did Astral, Aang, and Spike. It turned out to be a human version of Applejack. What gave her away the most was her trademark hat. Applejack opened a can of Fizzy apple cider, "Could you bring in the rest?" she called back.
"Eeyup." They saw entering was a human version of her brother Big Mac.
"Hey I know you three." Applejack said, spotting Twilight, Carol, and Camille.
"You do?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah. You're the ones that gave Sunset Shimmer the 'what-for' today." Applejack said.
"Twilight Sparkle's going to run against Sunset Shimmer for Princess of the Fall Formal with Carol and Camille helping her." Pinkie explained.
Applejack suddenly spat up the drink she had.
"What is it with everyone stopping dead at the Mention of Twilight Running against Sunset Shimmer?" Carol asked dryly.
"I'd think twice about doing that if I was you." Applejack warned Twilight.
"Let me guess Sunset's gonna make life hell for Twilight? We've heard the stories before." Camille said.
"Then ya know what to expect." Applejack replied.
"Thank you very much, Applejack, but I have to do this." Twilight said.
"Well, suit yourself... Hey, how'd ya know my name was Applejack?"
"Because you told us just now." Carol replied. Applejack groaned in confusion.
"What Carol means is when you asked us how we knew your name was Applejack you said that your name was Applejack." Camille replied.
"Come on, girls. We gotta go." Twilight said. Camille Carol and the three dogs followed Twilight out of the gym as Pinkie Pie and Applejack spoke.
"Camille's hiding something. She's got Psychic Powers." Pinkie whispered to Applejack.
Right on cue, Sunset Shimmer Came in the gym with Snips and Snails flanking her and to make matters worse the Sinister Sisters were right beside her as were a dozen crows in their crow form of course.
"This looks terrible!" Sunset declared.
"You said it." Sage agreed.
"I've seen better." Sapphire put in.
"This is supposed to be Sunset's Time to shine. There should be more streamers and fewer balloons." Scarlett added.
"Yeah! Streamers!" Snips declared.
"And fewer balloons!" Snails added.
"Fizzy apple cider what the heck is this? A hoedown?" Sapphire asked rhetorically.
"Yes. It's supposed to be my coronation!" Sunset declared.
"Well, it ain't necessarily gonna be your coronation this time around." Applejack interrupted her.
"Is that so?" Scarlett asked, "Well, obviously you're just a hillbilly from the south." she casually snapped her fingers causing manure and cowpies to fall on Applejack. Applejack growled feeling too T.O'd at the insult to know how that stuff fell on her.
"Obviously it's going to be my coronation. I'm running unopposed this year." Sunset said smugly.
"Not this time. The new girl signed up and she's got help in the form of her two friends." Pinkie explained.
"What?!" Sunset asked in outrage.
"See for yourself. The new girl's handwriting is so bad that one of her friends had to write for her. And they even have a permit for their pets from Celestia herself.
"Where is this Twilight Sparkle?!" Sunset growled.
"We want a word with her." Sage added.
The group looked at them like they were crazy until Sunset cleared her throat, "What I mean is, I look forward to the competition."
"She left a while ago." Pinkie answered. Sunset motioned her group to follow her and they left.
Meanwhile Camille, Carol, and Twilight were walking with their dogs when they found themselves in a dimly lit hallway. They had the feeling they were being watched.
"Can't believe I didn't recognize you earlier. Good thing my new friends tipped me off about you." came a voice. Twilight, Carol, and Camille turned to see Sunset Shimmer Standing on her own.
"You had some nerve stealing Twilight's crown." Camille warned her.
"Oh, please. It should've been mine from the start."
"We're supposed to be afraid of you?" Carol asked sarcastically, "We've spoken to Celestia, Zuko, and Zuko's relatives and from what we can make out you're just a greedy, power hungry, cruel and dishonest coward."
"Sticks and stones, girl." Sunset brushed it off.
"You went through an awful lot of trouble to switch the crown with the one that belongs here. Why?" Twilight asked suspiciously.
"Pop quiz. What happens when you bring an element of harmony to another world?"
"We don't know." Camille admitted.
Sunset laughed, "Shows how little you really know," Astral, Aang and Spike growled at Sunset, "Oh, and I'd keep an eye on your pets if I were you. It'd be a shame if something were to happen to them."
"Is that a threat?!" spike growled.
"Oh, I wouldn't dream of it."
"But you're not above getting somebody else to pay us out." Astral called her out.
"I just wanted to give a warning, Twilight may be Equestria's newest Princess. But in this world I rule." Sunset left, as Aang commented to the others.
"Now we gotta crush her and fast. If she's with the Sinister Sisters I fear that she'll have even more power than before." Aang said.
"I know." Twilight agreed.
Later on, Sunset was walking when she saw Snips and Snails wrapped up in streamers and she saw the annoyed looks on the Sinister Sisters' faces and knew that they were annoyed at Snips and Snails.
"Will you two stop goofing around?!" Sunset ordered the boys.
"Allow me." Scarlet used her magic to unwrap Snips and Snails.
"Better, Sunset?" Sapphire asked.
"Yes. Now we got work to do."
Dark Corvo who was the crow taking crow form resumed his true form and spoke next, "Indeed we do. So how do you intend to take Twilight down, Miss Shimmer?"
"The same way I took down Rarity for the Spring Fling. Gather as much data and shots as you can of Twilight. I got a plan to make her a laughing stock."
"Easy enough, but what of Carol and Camille?" Dark Corvo inquired.
"I'll need them distracted as well." Sunset added.
"How do you intend to do that?" Snails asked.
"Camille isn't easily distracted and neither is Carol." Snips added.
"Then we'll need help." Sunset said.
"Did you forget that Camille is easily distracted by Pasta and sometimes Pizza?" Sage asked.
"And as for Carol she'll be a problem as long as she doesn't get distracted by southern food." Sapphire put in.
"Like what?" Sunset asked.
"Like Biscuits." Dark Corvo answered.
"Once the Crown and its power are mine Twilight Sparkle will be sorry she ever set hoof into this world. Carol will be sorry she ever set foot into our business and Camille will pay for her treason against you and your gang. Not that they'd be any safer in Equestria when we're through," Snails and Snips laughed, "What are you two still doing here? GO!" The two ran off.
"My sisters and I can take care of distracting Camille and Carol." Scarlett offered.
"You do that. I gotta take care of some business first." Dark Corvo added. The rest of the group split up to take care of business.
Meanwhile with Twilight Carol Camille and their pets they were busy planning their next move when Twilight saw a vending machine. Twilight approached it, but struggled with how to use it. She got on her hands and feet and was about to give it a kick when another voice showed up.
"Excuse me," Twilight got up and moved aside. Standing was a human version of Trixie, "The great and powerful Trixie... Need some peanut butter crackers," She inserted a coin and got what she wanted, "Voila." She took her leave.
"Sunset Shimmer's right. If you're going to win we had best do research and to do that we best find the library." Carol told Twilight.
"Right. I've watched you all in your daily lives so I should at least have good teachers for it."
"But once we defeat Sunset Shimmer I think we should give her the same chance I was given. Let me talk to her. I can see where she's coming from." Camille said.
"I just hope she's not too far gone to be persuaded." Twilight hoped.
As the trio entered the library the Sinister Sisters and Snips and Snails followed along, "You remember the plan?" Scarlett asked. The two boys pulled out their cellphones.
"I got the Linguini with Meat sauce ready." Sapphire added.
"And I have some Pulled Pork ready." Sage put in.
"Excellent." Scarlett said pleased. The group of five snuck in and put their plan into motion.
Meanwhile Twilight was at a Computer trying to figure out how to use it, "So I just push the letters on the keyboard here and the words and pictures will appear on the screen?"
"It's that simple." Camille nodded. Camille and Carol them smelled some Linguini with Meat Sauce and Pulled Pork with biscuts and both were drawn away from Twilight by the scent.
"Girls, where are you going?" Twilight asked.
"We're gonna chow down for a bit. We'll be back." Carol answered.
"Well, I think I can manage for now." Twilight said.
Camille and Carol went to chow down where the food was and when they got there it was like an endless Pizza, Pasta and Southern food buffet, "I've died and gone to heaven." Camille gasped.
"Same here." Carol agreed. Camille and Carol began digging into the food as the Sinister Sisters were watching from a distance without being seen as they were giggling at what they had in mind.
"Those two have no idea what we have planned next." Scarlett told her sisters.
"They're absolutely clueless." Sapphire added.
"They have no idea what we put in the drinks they're drinking now." Sage smirked.
Scarlet, Sapphire and Sage giggled as they saw Twilight trying and failing to use the Computer and saw Snips and Snails take photos in the process of the scene. When the boys saw they had more than enough images and recorded footage they split.
Meanwhile Camille and Carol had finished eating at the buffet and yet it somehow packaged itself for leftovers, "Looks like whoever made this wants us to enjoy our stay here." Carol said.
"But for now we better get Twilight and find a place to sleep," Camille suggested, "While we were eating Astral told me she found a place for us and it's right here in the Library," Carol nodded, as they got up to meet back up with Twilight, "So, Twilight, how did it go? Find anything interesting?"
"I found this yearbook. If what I've learned from back home from others worlds they're used to keep records of stuff that's happened at school." Twilight said.
"That's correct. By the way, Twilight. Want some biscuits and gravy? They're no meat in it." Carol offered.
"Or perhaps you'd like some Pizza?" Camille offered as well.
"Please," She accepted it, "And look at this, picture."
She opened up a page to a picture of what looked like her five friends only younger looking. Spike looked at the page and gasped upon seeing Rarity.
"Down, Spike. This Rarity is human. And yet I sense that they were once close." Aang noticed.
"I know, but they haven't been seen close together from what we've observed." Carol added.
"Sunset Shimmer and the Crows divided them up so as to prevent them from rising up against her." Astral remembered.
"If only they were still friends, maybe they could be of great help to us." Twilight said.
"For now we might want to focus on building a plan." Camille suggested.
Just then Camille Carol and Twilight each let out a fart, "You three might want to find a bathroom." Astral warned them.
Twilight didn't hesitate as she Carol and Camille ran to find a bathroom. They found Trixie nearby, "Right this way, ladies," Trixie then guided them into the bathroom as directed and once they were inside the Sinister Sisters showed up, "I did as you asked. They're in the Boy's bathroom taking a dunk right now."
"Splendid." Scarlett smirked.
"I took photos of their entry into the bathroom as we spoke." Trixie added.
"Perfect. And as we promised, all the Peanut Butter crackers you can eat." Sapphire gave her a whole box full of the stuff.
"You're welcome. And my cash?"
"Enough to have you set for life." Sage added with a briefcase of money.
"Wonderful!" She collected her fee. Trixie and the sisters then left as Carol Camille and Twilight then exited the bathroom and returned to the library.
"I think we might want to rest for the night." Camille said.
"Least we don't have to worry about lunch for a while." Carol added. They retreated back to the library.
While they were doing that Dark Corvo had met up with three other girls in the town, "So these are the three sirens banished here by Starswirl the Bearded. I can only express much disappointment."
The Leader named Adagio spoke up, "We may have lost, but we've been biding our time until we would be ready to gain enough magic again to make this world do our bidding."
"Lot of good it'll do seeing as how this energy is nothing compared to Equestria's." Aria brooded.
"What if I told you there was a way that this world can gain Equestrian Magic and take you to another world with Arkeyan Magic?" Dark Corvo offered.
"Really?" Sonata gasped.
"You lie." Adagio declared.
"This is not a lie."
"Say we believe you. We want proof." Aria said.
"First let me ask you some questions."
"Very well." Adagio replied.
"Starswirl is from 10,000 years ago so how have you survived this long in this world?"
"You wouldn't believe how long we've had to adapt," Adagio replied, "The gems we wear is our magic source. Back in Equestria they were bonded to us when we used our voices to stir up trouble among all pony types. But since we've come here they've been turned into necklaces. Unlike in Equestria, we can only gain so much power here."
"If that's the case then I take it that it was easy for you to start up trouble since the three pony tribes didn't trust each other."
"Yes. We stir up trouble and feed off the negative energy. That's been our game." Adagio explained.
"and you would've been able to divide and conquer Equestria right?"
"That was the plan, until we got banished to this awful place." Aria groaned.
"And how is the energy here?"
"It's like fast food. Nothing on the level of a meal." Aria answered.
"Follow me. I know how to take you to Equestria if the need should arise."
"For realsies?" Sonata asked.
"Yes." Dark Corvo confirmed.
"You intrigue me. Very well." Adagio said.
Corvo led the sirens to an abandoned train station and there a train whistle could be heard, "Our ride is here, ladies. A Shadow Liner's coming to pick us up."
"A train? What good is a train gonna do?" Aria asked rhetorically.
"If you open your mind you will see." he answered.
Aria frowned at his mock as they looked down the track. On cue one of the shadow liners that Dark Corvo mentioned appeared. It was a black train that looked like it was made from powerful armor. Dark Corvo and the sirens climbed aboard and sat down as the train made its way forward before diving into the underworld.
"Uh, where's this taking us?" Sonata asked.
"To another world. One that is linked with equestrian magic, Dragon Magic and Arkeyan magic. What would those be for you in food terms ladies?" Corvo saw their confused faces before clarifying, "Would you gain enough energy in the world I take you to?"
"Enough for a decent meal I suppose." Aria replied.
"I never got your names."
"I'm Adagio Dazzle, this is Aria Blaze, and Sonata Dusk."
"I see. Hang on, we are almost there," They looked out the window of the train They saw they were in the underworld as they could see the Castle Terminal which was Mindy's Mansion. It was a dark fortress with multiple track lines extending from it, "What do you think?"
"Wicked." Aria smirked.
"Nice terminal." Sonata agreed.
"Wait till you see the inside." Corvo led the sirens to the throne room of the fortress where a map of various world were and the one showing was the map of Sodor.
"What is all this?" Adagio asked.
"This is the Castle Terminal. Mindy and the Shadow Line crows use it to keep track of the shadow liners we have as well as the worlds they're on. The map is showing the island of Sodor and it has been graced with Magic from Equestria."
"It has?" Adagio wondered.
"Yes it has. Why don't we take a shadow liner to Sodor now?"
"Oh, let's go, let's go, let's go!" Sonata cheered.
"Very well," So they followed Dark Corvo onto another shadow liner. When they arrived they were in Vicarstown, "Welcome to Sodor."
"Finally. It's nice to be in new terrain." Adagio admitted.
"Tell me about it. I was getting bored with that city." Aria added.
"I hope they have Tacos." Sonata said hopefully.
"By the way, ladies, get a good look at yourselves. You've been restored to your true forms." Corvo said.
They saw they were in their siren forms, "Yes! Oh, it feels good to be back to normal." Adagio cheered.
"I don't know. I looked so cute back in the other world." Sonata replied.
"You don't know much of anything, Sonata." Aria said.
"I'm gonna let you go and eat your meal." Corvo then left to do just that.
