Finally wrote the last chapter. This story was supposed to be a one shot but ended up being 6 chapters but ended up being 6 chapters. Hope you like it!

"Here we are."

"Thank you," she said while he helped her sit down.

"Do you want to lie down?"

"Er.. not yet."

"There it starts again." He chuckled.

"Wh- what started?"

"Your stammering."

Still contemplating whether to ask the question in her mind or not she didn't even hear his answer. But what if I ask and he starts to ignore me again? But then if I don't it will keep bothering me. And what if I do whatever I do that makes him ignore me unknowingly? With all these thoughts running through her head she totally forgot the man in her presence.

"Ouch..." She rubbed arm. "What's with you and pinching?"

"That's is the only thing that seems to get you out of whatever world you just went to."

"Sorry, I was thinking." She felt like pinching herself too. How could she forget Semimaru was here? Thank goodness he didn't leave or think I deliberately did it. Now how do I go about this without making it awkward? She thought

"Goodnight. You seem to be lost in your thought." He smiled and got up to leave.

Natsu thinking he might get offended grabbed his hand. "C-can you stay?" she said nervously.

Semimaru's heart jumped when she took a hold of his hand. "Calm down. Calm down," he chanted to himself to calm his heartbeat. She's just holding your hand. It's not like she's hugging you or anything. Before he knew it he was sitting next to her again.

"Why?"

"C-can you please stay with me till I fall asleep?" She dropped her gaze down to hide her embarrassment. The moonlight provided some light so she could see his expression. Seeing his surprised expression, she felt the need to give an explanation. "Everybody is at where we ate and also..."she trailed off with the sentence in her mind.

Suddenly the sound of his laughter filled the place. "Semimaru?" She said, not understanding why he is laughing, but he only continued to laugh more. She looked at him with a 'did I say something funny?' expression.

"Sorry," he said between laughs trying to gasp for air.

"Huh? Did I say something funny?" she asked.

"You scaredy-cat." He ruffled her hair and grinned at her. He wasn't even laughing because of her being scared of being alone. He was just too happy with her asking him to stay with her and with her hand still holding his hand which she has obviously forgotten she is still holding.

"But I'm not scared." She said with her flush on her face remembering what she almost said. And I also want to be with you. She looked down to avoid his gaze and that is when she saw her hand still holding his. She quickly pulled her hands back and felt her face turn red.

"If you say so..." he chuckled at her realization and her action afterwards.

Natsu was befuddled by his mood changes. First he is playful, then mad and ignoring me then playful then seemingly mad again and now he looks like he was first in class. She was so confused with his actions. Not used to being around others apart from her family her understanding of people wasn't so good. "Semimaru," she slowly inhaled, "did I do something wrong before?"

Semimaru was surprised by the sudden question thinking, if she meant his stupid act of ignoring or him laughing just now at her. He hoped it is the latter as he didn't want to spoil the mood, more like his mood by talking about that topic.

"How is making me laugh doing something wrong?"

"Er.. Not that. Before when you-"

He cut her off knowing what she meant now. "Oh you mean when I was about to leave? That was only because you have to rest so your leg heals fast," He said trying to divert her question. Now he was having a conversation with his mind.

Damn Semimaru why are you are you being such a coward. Weren't you going to talk properly with her?

But that was not now. What if she says something that destroys my hope before I even confess?

Stop being a coward and just go with it since she brought it up anyways.

Natsu now noticed what he was trying to do and just sighed. "Semimaru."

"I was just irritated okay?," he finally let out, running his hand through his long locks. His hand got stuck in a knot irritating him. He hang his head low with embarassment and tried untangle it without any success. He wondered whether to ask her for help but she was faster.

"Erm..do you want me to help?"

"S-sure," he stuttered, surprising himself.

Natsu knelt in front of him and took the tangled hair. His hair is so knotted up, she thought. "Cutting it seems more convenient," she unconsciously said.

"Really? You think I should cut them?" He asked, looking up to look at her. That's when he noticed how close they were. Their eyes met and his heart did a flip as her beautiful hazel eyes meeting his sweet brown ones.

"Er... I just thought it would be more convenient for you." Natsu quickly turned her head away from his gaze. Still feeling his stare while untangling his hair, she felt her face heat up and her heart beating at an irregular pace.

"Yea, but I'm keeping them for now." He smiled, his eyes still on her." By the way is your foot okay with you like this?"

" Yea, I'm almost done I think."

"Natsu, I'm sorry."

"Huh?" She looked at him confused with his sudden apology.

"I'm not going to repeat myself," he said, his eyes that were on her now looking at the ground.

"I mean why are you sorry?"

With a sincere look in his eyes, he raised his head to look at her. "I like you " He shaked his head looking into her eyes. " No, I love you. "

Hearing that, she fell back on her bum and stared at him blinking with her mouth shaped in an o. "I know you are surprised but I had to get this of my chest even though I know what answer awaits me." She stared at him still with the same expression not knowing what to say. " I know the way I've been treating you might say otherwise but I do really love you."

Still shocked the only word she could utter was, "w-w-why?" She couldn't see what there is to love about her. She was just a socially awkward, shy and helpless girl.

Semimaru looked at her confused. "Why?"

"Y-y-yes, I thought you didn't like me."

After letting saying what he felt, he somehow felt more bold. "That is what I was hoping for and trying to do with my actions, but I later realized that was just stupid. We are all going to be together and there is nothing I can do about you liking him. I know I have no chance with you and you don't need to say anything. I just wanted you to know how I feel." He leaned in and kissed her cheek, making Natsu's heart pound against her chest.

She tried to calm her pounding heart. "I-I-"

"You don't need to reply." He gave her a smile, but she could see it didn't reach his eyes, and was getting up to leave.

Why is he choosing this moment to be so considerate? "Selfish," she mumbled. That stopped Semimaru in his tracks.

"Selfish? You are calling me selfish?" He asked slightly annoyed hearing that after opening up to her about how he felt. He was trying to be as selfless as he can and put her feelings before his and she called him selfish?

"Yes, you are being selfish." she said, after calming down enough to say a coherent sentence.

He was now looking at her with his eyebrows furrowed and seemed to be waiting for her to talk more,.

"You assume my feeling, suddenly drop all this on me and don't even wait for me to talk," she let out with a tint of annoyance in her voice. "You know how slow I am at times and you don't even wait for me to gather my thoughts." She pouted looking anywhere but at him.

She looked so cute being pouty and annoyed. He tried to stifle the smile playing at the corners of his lips but with no success. "D-do you think I like Arashi?" she asked.

The smile disappeared from his face and he only nodded. She was now looking at his face trying to read his thoughts. " I have never loved anyone before, so I'm not familiar with this feeling I'm feeling, but I know what I feel-"

"Natsu, I already know so stop."

She sighed at his interruption again. She has never felt this frustrated. "Can you stop assuming and let me finish?" she said in an almost shout.

I don't want to know your feelings for him, he wanted to say. Her confirming it will mean he has no chance, but he kept quiet when she gave him a look that confused the hell out of him and readied himself.

She looked at him with love and adoration in her eyes. "I was saying that, I don't know if what I'm feeling is love but I know that what I feel for you is different from what I feel Arashi and s-so..." she trailed suddenly becoming shy again thinking of what she was going to say. "S-so please don't assume my feelings and think I don't like you," she said blushing and looking at the ground.

He pointed to her, "yo-you like me me?" then at himself.

She nodded.

"You don't like Arashi?" His heart was jumping out of joy.

"Of course I like him-"

"Oooh..." his shoulders slumped.

"-but only as a brother." she continued after his interruption.

"Really?"

She nodded shyly.

"I am so stupid." He knocked his head.

"Semimaru, can you stop interrupting me all the time?"

"Sure sure, ask me anything right now and I will do it." He said with a big smile plastered on his face. He was so happy that he didn't even notice that he was hugging her so tight.

"Err... also I can't breathe so..."

"Oh sorry, I didn't notice." Blushing, he released his arms around her and looked at her awkwardly. He wasn't expecting her to reciprocate his feelings so he was totally lost on what to do now. If it was any other girl they would probably be at base three, which was making out but this was his sweet, cute and innocent Natsu. "Err..." he tried to think of what to say. This is embarrassing, he always knew what to do and say, but here he was, not knowing what to do or say.

"Semimaru," she said, cutting off his thoughts. " I'm not familiar with these things so can we um... take it slowly and see-"

"Take it slowly? So we are an item?"

"Item? Why would you call yourself an item?" She asked confused and hit his arm slightly for interrupting her again. "You cut me off again."

"Sorry, sorry." He raised his hands to show his sincerity. " And when I said item I meant as in we are together?" he wriggled an eyebrow. He knew what she meant but he wanted to tease her a little.

"Um..I..I... "

Looking at her, she looked so cute with her eyes darting around not knowing where to look. He suddenly lowered his mouth till it touched hers.

Her eyes widened at the feel of his lips on hers. His lips started to slowly move against hers in a gentle manner. She felt like her was going to jump out of her chest at the way it was beating so fast. Before she could even think of what to do, the feeling was lost. She didn't know why but she wanted it back. Her face was burning hot. She looked at his face and he was smiling at her, sweetly so but also roguish. He heart always skips a beat when he gives her that smile of his.

"You will get better with practice," he said smiling at her. "Get some rest for now. We are leaving early in the morning." He pecked her cheek and left grinning the whole way, leaving Natsu spaced out with her finger on a lips.
