Rain falls like teardrops yet the moon peeks through the clouds, leaving it's fingerprints on the flowers. A tree outside the window-- it's leaves deep reds and golds, the bark a pale russet. A person approaches, the crisp sound of his footsteps echoing through the courtyard. He walks as though burdened with a world of weariness. He wears a long trench coat, it's color indistinguishable in the lone streetlight. A few inches of his dark pants show below the hem of the coat, his black dress shoes shining in the dim, yellow light. A gold watch glints on his left wrist, expensive yet somehow sad, seemingly implying that though the man does not lack, he is not happy either. He sighs every few steps, proving the previously noted forlornness. His manner indicates that of a businessman, though he is not corrupt and is not happy with his job. A lone owl hoots in the night and the man pauses, looking towards the sound. He sighs, seemingly wishing for the freedom of a bird.

Turning, the room inside is seen, dark-- colored with muted grays and blacks. The outline of a bed, toy chest, dresser, and nightstand can be seen against the walls. Two doors are present-- one to a hallway, the other a closet, both closed. The faint smell of orange blossom is detected, but the heavy scent of dust lays over this like a thick, smothering blanket. A mirror rests on the closet door, showing most of the room, including the spot where you stand. No figure is shown, the room having been empty for many years. You look again at the spot the mas last was and see nothing... he was never there. Turning back, you walk forward, screams and pleads in a womans voice faintly heard in the background. You step out into the hall and close the door on your childhood, never to open it again.
