Hey, I'm Cam and this is the first story I have written. I want to know if you like it and I will put up the second chapter. It is a take on Twilight because I know you guys love it. I wrote this a while back and I just thought I should upload something.

My life wasn't exactly the most fortunate. Well my luck wasn't anyway. I had almost everything that I wanted, but of course I had to work hard for it. Well now I have a fresh start a new year. Hello 2009! Man the last few months of 2008 were different shall we say.

Chapter 1

The door bell rang. It was Jessica.

"Hey Jenny! You never guess who's having her once a year, annual, only on one day a year new year's party. Moi!" Jessica said running up to me, as we walked up the stairs to my room.

Jessica is my best girlfriend in the whole world. I can tell her everything and anything. Apart from the big secret I share with Joe.

"Hi, Jessie, is it going to be as cool as last year?"

"It's going to be better! Louder music, more boys so what else can you ask for?"

Jessica throws the best parties you could ever go to. She's got the music, food, drink and the house for one.

"You do throw the best parties. Christmas was the highlight of the year; people are still talking about it."

"I would hope so it's only the 27th!"

"Jenny! Joes here" my mum shouted from downstairs.

"Send him up!" I shouted in response.

"Hey, Jenny M'dear...Jessica. So what you planning? You look exited."

It took me a while to answer. His voice is as smooth as velvet. So smooth you can never really get used to it. I've known him for a little over 4 months now and it still dazzles me.

"Oh...urmm...Jessica is throwing a new year's party."

"Cool, cool. Sounds like fun, I've heard the buzz of what happened last year! Man you can throw a party."

"I've got an invitation for you. I wrote yours first." Jessica said that a bit too eagerly.

"Sorry I won't be in town, but thanks for the invite. I just decided to stop by to say bye to Jenny before I go."

You could see Jessica's face drop. Disappointment was tattooed along her face.

"Bye Jenny. I'll be back in 3 weeks. I'll miss you loads, but I'll try to survive."

What was I going to do for three weeks without my real best friend?

"Bye Joe. Have fun!"

Even though I didn't mean it. I wanted him to stay here with me. He gave me a long meaningful, hug. He gives the best hugs you have ever felt. You get that really nice warm feeling inside and you feel all nice. It's so hard to describe. If you ever get close enough to Joe you have to get at least one hug. You'll remember it for a lifetime.

"Bye Joe." Said Jessica disappointed.

Joe knows that she fancies the pants off him, but he would rather not say that he doesn't like her at all. He's too lovely like that, doesn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. He tells me everything. And by everything, I mean everything. Let's start at the beginning of the story. I found it, him, the super human being...the vampire or did he find me. We'll never know. But what I do know is that his name is Joe and my nightmare which turned into a dream, started on the evening of my 16th birthday.
