The hats of the world
Molly Hayes, there's a lot to know about her. Such as she has never liked or kissed a boy. I guess that's not that important.
But how do you decide if your life is important or not. How do you know if you are the sinner or the saint?
People tell her everyday that her parents are evil, that they are sinners. Molly never wanted to believe them but that's impossible. How do you forget that someone told you that your parents have killed families yet they've cuddled you when you were seven after a nightmare.
That's the hat of love. The hat of love never lets you forget all the good times. It tries to find a way to prove that the person you see is not a monster. Sometimes that hat fails so you put on a different one.
Klara Prast is Molly's best friend. They're the complete opposite. Klara has been and seen pain in more ways then Molly. Klara was married at a young age. With marriage came labor, and sex with an old man. Abuse also followed along with the marriage. Molly, the worst pain she has felt is the lost of Gert and her parents.
That's the hat of affection. Affection brings people who lived two different lives together as either friends or lovers. That hat brought Molly and Klara as friends but brought Karolina and Xavier as lovers.
Even with her life being jacked up she hasn't change. She still that little kid she was when her parents took her to the circus. Molly has hats with ribbons, fish, unicorn, and who knows what else. While others are still trying to figure out who they are Molly all ready knows.
The hat of sugar. Sugar, everyone knows what it is. Any person can eat something and tell if it has sugar or not. Sugar is also what turns us back into little kids. One piece of chocolate and you'll be just like Molly
