Nanny Ogg & the Ancient Language
by BlakEyePea
Summary: Alagaesia meets Nanny Ogg. She may be the first to break all their rules.
Lamedisc: The invention of the ancient language was done by Christopher Paolini, and Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg, and Magrat Garlick were made by Terry Pratchett. I am simply plagiarizing them for my own purposes.
Nanny Ogg was amusing herself. She was always amusing herself, much to Granny Weatherwax's annoyance. Today she was amusing her self by having a nice cup of tea in Granny Weatherwax's cottage.
"Esme," she said, "what's going on outside?"
"Nothing's going out side, Gytha Ogg."
"Oh yes there is," said Nanny. "Look outside, Esme."
Granny looked. It was no longer its sensible gloom, but was something else completely. "It looks like something Magrat would like," she said disdainfully.
"Wha?" Magrat called from the bathroom.
"well, there's no use jus speck-you-late-in about it, now is there," said granny, going to the door, "what are you people all staring at?" she yelled, hands on her hips. The crowd out side started to murmur. Granny slammed the door. She'd felt that someone was trying to read her mind, and she never could stand people invading other's personal thoughts.
Meanwhile Nanny and Magrat were receiving some um, interest from the crowd.
"What are they?" one elf asked.
"Why are they so grubby?" asked another.
"Humans!" said another.
"Always wondered what they looked like."
"What's going on?" asked Magrat.
"Apparently they're very curious about us." said Nanny.
