It had only been months, after all, some brothers went entire years without seeing one another. And it wasn't like Uther would lay a guilt trip on him for not writing, mothers did that sort of thing but not brothers.

No, Uther would likely scold him as usual, calling him reckless and irresponsible, questioning his decision to let Hector leave Ostia in the first place...which was only almost as bad as a guilt trip, when one thought about it. Maybe Uther would go easy on him after learning how much they'd been through, surely he wouldn't lecture his brother harshly in front of Eliwood after he'd just lost his father, right?

At least Hector hoped not.

Lyn suddenly shouted his name, and he quickly ran to catch up with her, Eliwood, Ninian and the tactician. They entered the main room of the fortress, and Hector finally came face to face with his brother.

But to his surprise, Uther gave him a fatherly smile and Hector immediately knew a lecture wasn't in the cards. Uther was just happy to see him alive and well, and Hector found he felt exactly the same.
