(months later)

They sat on the floor looking at Tyler, he was smiling happy with the attention.

"Say Dada." he ordered hopefully.

"He's not gonna say that, say Momma,Momma, come on, Momma!" Kennedy replied, hoping she would win the non-existing competition. Tyler giggled, he thought it was funny.

Beast Boy and Kennedy continued to try to get the baby to say their own name 1st. Then when they took a break on trying to get Tyler to talk. They looked at each other and smiled. As they turned back to Tyler, they heard a tiny voice say, "Alligator!" They looked at each other shocked, did he just say that? Yes he did and he said it after he saw a block with an animal Kennedy had told him numerous times was an alligator.

"Dude I can't even spell that word, how'd he figure out how to say it? He can't say Dada, but he can say alligator?" Beast Boy said aloud, very shocked at what he had witnessed.

"Who else would have said it I mean he's the only one that could have." Kennedy thought out loud.

"Uuummm. Maybe he's still too young to talk?" Beast Boy said still unable to believe his ears.

"No, he's definitely not too young, but um we can um maybe stop teaching him words for a while, alligator will make up for a lot of new words for now." she said not sure if she made sense.

"Um, ya, lets call it good for the night. Time for bed, Ty!"Beast Boy said still pretty shocked.
