Max and Fang

(This is after max says she loved him in book 3 of fugitives)

Okay I lost my arm, could have had worse but what I said to Fang.

I really didn't need him knowing that not just yet, note to self stay away from all Valium and Medication

When we got back to Dr. Martinez's house, she went off to bake more cookies for Fang and me to take on the road well more like, take in the air but you understand. Ella had to go off to school so she was nowhere in sight either. That left me and guess who sitting on the porch all alone.

"Did you mean that", I dreaded this moment but Fang wasn't going to let it slide.

"Depends", I said taking all feeling out of my voice so he would have no clue if I did or did not love him. The perfect Fang trap.

"I need to know", His voice went cold.

Now we're getting somewhere I thought.

"And why do you need to know this oh so much", I said putting a fake innocence to my tone.

"Because I love you to", Oh, no, no, he felt the same way now this is going to get complicated

I walked closer to him just in his reach. "Really"

He closed to gap in between us and lowered his lips to mine.

He laced his finger through my not working hand while my other hand was twisted up in his hair.

We broke apart to only end up kissing again, gosh those his lips were soft, warm and if I had a home he would have reminded home of it.

I did love him more than I had ever even realized.

I stop the last kiss, suddenly looked into to his deep trusting eyes.

"I love you, Fang". He nodded with a big smirk on his face.

Then I pulled away just as Dr. Martinez opened the door with a big bag of chocolate cookies in her hand, ready for us to sail away.

Gosh this is going to get tricky I thought looking up at Fang.

As if reading my thoughts he answered "Just trust me". And you know what, I completely did.
