Lily walked in to the Gryffindor common room after her first, long day of lessons. She was exhausted; she never knew magic could be so hard. It was definitely not just waving a wand and saying abracadabra. An owl was waiting for her. The letter looked like it had already been opened.
Dear Lily,
Remember that James boy we met on the train? Don't talk to him. Now that you're in Gryffindor you've got to know. The Potters are bad people. Rich, mean, you know the type, like the Jason's down the street from your house.
-Severus
Under the note something was scribbled in different handwriting.
It's not true. I'm a great kid. If I was not would I be checking your mail to see if it's safe? It's a good thing I did, too, because I've heard about the Snapes. They're evil, joining forces with dark wizards. Severus is a future Death Eater.
-James
Lily tore of and crumpled the bottom half of the note. Then she threw it at James and his friends, who were all laughing and pointing at her.
"So your taking Snape's side then? The Slitherin." Yelled James.
"I'm taking Snape's side," Lily yelled right back, "Because his head isn't full of hot air."
"Ohhhhhhhhhh." Said the other kids in the common room.
And that's how their night ended.
Sorry if there is anyone with the last name Jason reading this. Please comment!
