A/N: I just want to say something before you guys get on with this chapter. When you request something that isn't a Youtube video (Like what this chapter is inspired by), like a fanfiction or a movie/anime or anything that is longer than one part, PLEASE tell me which scene you have in mind when you make the request! There are some things requested which I have seen but there are also some fics and movies which I have not watched or read, and thus, I have no idea which scene to choose. Some of you have done this and I want to thank those people but a good portion of you have not. So once again, please add which scene/chapter/part/episode of the thing you requested to your request or the chance of your request actually appearing here is almost nothing. Thank you.
Presenting: CalebCity - Super Human Interview
Right before the next universe could be displayed, a notice popped up on the screen, interrupting the theaters occupants.
"Noooo-ho-ho-ho…! Are you telling me this place has ads too?!" Yang wailed in despair as she slumped in her seat. "Stop trying to get me to play Raid: Shadow Legends already! I've seen the ads for it thousands of times at this point!" Ruby patted her back comfortingly while chuckling silently.
"Stop whining and open your eyes you buffoon!" Weiss snapped at the blonde who promptly ceased in her despair. "It's something else." Weiss concluded as Ozpin began to read the notice aloud.
"Before you continue, please make sure to read this notice." The words on screen read. "From this point onward, you may be viewing events which you will not have prior context to, thus making the viewings less meaningful and less entertaining."
"I guess that's a good point…" Blake admitted with a shrug. "It's probably like skipping ahead to the ending of a book. You'd have no idea what would be going on." She observed, to which the others nodded in agreement.
"That being said, a solution to this problem has been found." Before they could read more, the floor right in front of Ozpin opened up, after which a small pedestal rose up from the ground, on top of which was what looked like a large and highly advanced scroll.
"What is… this?" Ozpin pondered as he cautiously gripped the device, before inspecting it, the pedestal receding once again, the floor closing up once it was gone.
"Is that a scroll, Professor Ozpin?" Weiss asked tentatively.
"I don't believe so Ms. Schnee." Ozpin replied as he continued to look over the device, before the device activated, displaying a wide range of functions. "Or at least not any modern scroll currently available." He said evenly. He looked back at the screen and continued reading.
"The device in front of you, while not exactly like the scrolls you know, has been based off of them and may be referred to as such. Unlike them however, it is many times more advanced. It has been granted to you so you may find information to fill in the gaps. If there is something you lack understanding in or something you believe is missing, you can find it with this." The screen read.
"Amazing…" Pyrrha muttered as she and the others stared wide eyed. "That device can do something like that?" She asked incredulously. "So much information…"
"Of course, you can not use it to search for literally anything as that would defeat the purpose of these viewings. Most information, such as relevant topic info or simply mundane information will always be available to you however. There are more uses but those will become apparent as the need arises. Use this device as you will." Ozpin finished as he looked back down at the device in his hands in awe.
"Wow… That's so cool…!" Ruby squeaked quietly. The room had fallen into shocked silence at the device sitting in Ozpins hand.
"So we could really… Find any information to ever exist…?" Ren finally spoke up slowly, as if the words on his tongue were alien. "Literally anything? Even things that aren't known yet?" Ozpin swallowed nervously at that fact.
"It appears so…" He muttered but then he calmed himself as he thought back to earlier. 'Calm yourself…' Ozpin thought to himself. 'If the one who gave us this… gift… is assumed to be telling the truth, then perhaps my secret is still safe…' Ozpin would have pondered more, but suddenly a notification appeared on the Scroll.
"What's that?" Jaune asked cautiously, before one of the doors on the side of the theater, which the current audience now noticed was labeled "New Arrivals" opened, revealing none other than Sun Wukong. He strode in confidently, with his eyes closed before he yawned loudly.
"Wait- Sun?!" Blake yelled in disbelief at Sun suddenly appearing.
Sun, who wasn't expectation the loud voice, promptly flinched and stumbled, nearly falling over as he let out a yell of his own, before getting into a combat stance. When he realized who he was looking at, he relaxed, his face softening.
"Oh! Hey guys! What's up?" He asked casually, before his eyes widened when he realized he was somewhere he wasn't supposed to be. "Woah… What is this place…? And why are we here?"
Before anyone could respond, the door, which had closed behind sun, opened once more as a familiar blue-haired student walked in.
"Neptune?!" Sun asked with surprise. Neptune, who was also not expecting the loud noise, had a similar reaction to Sun, although which much less grace as he actually fell onto the floor with a cry. "Sun?!" Neptune yelled when he realized who had startled him. "Why are you here?! How are you here?!" He demanded.
"I believe some introductions and explanations are in order…" Ozpin commented as the two turned to him.
"Wait, wait, wait, hold on." Neptune shook his hands in front of him as he tried to process what he'd just been told. "You guys, who are people I've never met before mind you, nice to meet you by the way, are saying that this room, is basically a movie theater where we can watch literally anything across time and space?" He asked, almost as if he was expecting it all to be a joke.
"Yup!" Ruby said, popping the P as the other's nodded.
"And this isn't a joke…?" Sun asked cautiously.
"Nope!" Ruby said, once more popping the P.
"As much as I'm hesitant to admit it…" Weiss muttered quietly, still in disbelief over the whole thing herself.
The two of them stayed silent for a moment before Sun suddenly smiled. "Woah… That's pretty cool." The monkey faunus said.
"RIGHT?!" Nora screamed with enthusiasm.
"Perhaps you'd like to find a seat?" Ozpin asked warmly, to which the two obliged.
"Hold on, before we start… Have you guys used watched something on this before?" Neptune asked curiously
"Oh yeah!" Yang pipped up with a smile. "We watched our future selves try to Take down Roman Torchwick, he's the biggest criminal in Vale by the way Neptune, in case you didn't know, while he was controlling some Atlas robot. It was pretty cool. You guys were there too actually." She said.
"How awesome were we?" Sun asked excitedly.
"You were being stupid before the both of you got knocked off of an overpass near the start of the fight." Blake replied evenly with a small smirk on her face. The other snickered as both Sun and Neptune groaned.
Nevertheless, Sun quickly shook off his disappointment. "Whatever, I'm ready to watch some other universes!" He yelled, the rest of the theater returning his enthusiasm.
"Let's finally begin then." Ozpin said with a smile as he pressed a button on the remote, the screen lighting up in response.
As the screen came to life, the interior view of an office was shown. The walls and floor were made of wood with a fluffy carpet laid across the floor. A large bookshelf lined with novels and encyclopedias was placed behind a large oak desk, whom Leonardo Lionheart sat behind.
"Oh! It's Headmaster Lionheart!" Neptune exclaimed as he pointed to the screen.
"It's certainly a surprise to see Leo here." Ozpin said whimsically. "I haven't spoken with him in a while…" He noted, before turning over to the Haven duo. "How is he doing by the way?" He asked.
"I think he's okay." Sun said with a thumbs up, before he frowned slightly. "But on some day's he looks nervous… Like something has him spooked I guess." He finished, making Ozpin frown in turn.
'That doesn't bode well… I'll need to contact him the next chance I get.' Ozpin thought to himself.
The large man, with a head of hair and a beard which resembled a lion, was pouring over some files, before the door to his office opened. He looked up calmly, only to see Blake Belladonna enter, before closing the door.
"Wait... Blake?" Yang asked surprised. "What would you be doing in Haven?"
"I have no idea…" Blake responded after a few seconds on contemplation.
"Hold on… Now that you've mentioned it, that doesn't look like Headmaster Lionheart's office…" Neptune said slowly, causing the other's to turn to him.
"What do you mean?" Ren asked softly.
"Literally what I just said. The office looks different but it has a similar style to it. It's a bit smaller too if I eyeball it right..." Neptune said with a shrug.
"It's possible, considering what we're dealing with here." Ozpin spoke up. "Let's just see what happens." With that, their eyes returned to the screen.
Lionheart smiled warmly. "How are you doing?" He asked politely as Belladonna approached.
"I'm doing fine." She replied as she sat down at the empty seat across from him.
"Alright…" He said before glancing down at Blake's file once more. "You applied for… crime fighting, correct?" He asked as he glanced up at Blake.
"That's right." She said with a grin.
Yang snickered as Ruby looked down in contemplation. "Well… after that stuff at the docks and what we watched before this… That makes sense." She helpfully spoke up.
"Can confirm." Sun added with a subtle up twitch in his lips as he tried not to laugh.
"That is something you would do Blake." Weiss added with a small smile as the feline faunus blushed in embarrassment.
"What I'm concerned with however, is that Headmaster Lionheart is fighting crime instead of running an academy…" Pyrrha noted, although she seemed more confused rather than worried.
"Well, Leo was a Huntsman before he became Headmaster and he does look a decade or two younger here…" Ozpin noted, the rest nodding in understanding.
"Alright. So…" Leonardo shook his head when he couldn't find the proper words and simply said what he needed to. "Describe your abilities. What can you do?" He asked curiously.
Blake's grin widened somewhat, almost smug as she leaned in with her hands on her knees. "I can make cats fight each other."
Leonardo looked up, confused and bewildered.
Blake looked up at her alternate self in absolute horror while the rest of the audience, bar Weiss, Pyrrha, Ren and Ozpin, who laughed to a lesser degree, absolutely lost it, their cackles completely drowning out all sound within the theater.
"I wouldn't! That's- That's inhumane! I-" Blake sputtered, her face the most red anyone had seen before while her eyes were as wide as saucers.
"HIS FACE!" Ruby screeched with tears in her eyes as her legs kicked back and forth from her laughter. "LOOK AT HIS FACE!"
"He looks so lost!" Jaune added, laughing nearly just as hard.
'You poor soul Leo.' Ozpin thought as he placed a hand on his face as he chuckled, perhaps more heartily than he had in a good long while.
He blinked once in confusion as Blake continued to stare at him, her grin never vanishing from her face. After a few seconds of awkward silence, Leonardo spoke up. "I don't really think… I don't really think that that's going to help…" He raised a hand and gestured to the room. "With what we do… specifically-"
"To death even." Blake interrupted, causing Lionheart to look down in shock, confusion and bewilderment. "If I willed it." Blake finished.
"What am I SAYING?!" Blake yelled, her ears flattening on her head despite her bow from the embarrassment and uncharacteristic outburst. "Cats are pure creatures! I- I- I would never-" She didn't know how to finish her sentence, she was just too shocked.
"I would pay- I'm dead serious, I would pay to see something like that!" Sun added as he started getting his laughs under control.
"CAT FIGHTS!" Yang yelled ecstatic even as she continued to cackle. "With REAL cats this time!" The audience was so wound up, no one even had the thought to groan at Yang's bad joke.
Leonardo licked his lips before swallowing, after which he looked up. "But still… Still, even with that extra piece of knowledge-"
Blake raised a hand, interrupting him once again. "It could be the perfect distraction." She said confidently with a smile. She leaned back in her chair. "Think about it. Someone is in battle. I distract them." She leaned forward once more as Leonardo had an unamused look on his face. "They're off their game."
"I- I mean- hehe… Uh, she's not- not necessarily wrong…!" Jaune somehow managed to get out in between chuckles.
"I concur." Ozpin added with an amused shake of his head.
Pyrrha just paused as she imagined her fighting during a tournament as dozens of adorable kittens distracted her opponent. She couldn't keep the smile off of her face at the thought, solely due to the kittens.
Leonardo opened his mouth but nothing came out, he was speechless. After a moment, he managed to find his voice and spoke. "I still feel like that's-"
"Let me show you how effective it is." Blake spoke up with an almost giddy tone.
"NO!" Blake shouted at her future counterpart. In any other situation, she would have realized trying to yell at her self through a screen was futile but the thought of harming cats was putting a few screws loose.
"YES!" Nora yelled as she cackled with glee.
"This is so stupid…" Weiss said as she pinched the bridge of her nose but even she couldn't fight off the smirk on her lips.
"Please don't." Leonardo tensed up, obviously startled from the unexpected offer.
Blake snapped her fingers with a wide and excited grin and all of a sudden the mewls and meows of cats were heard in the distance, progressively getting closer. "Please…" Leonardo begged once more but Blake wasn't listening.
"It's so many of them…" Blake muttered with shock as the laughter from her friends increased.
"It's happening! It's happening!" Ruby yelled excitedly as she and her sister laughed even harder.
"Come to momma kitties!" Nora shouted, eagerly yearning for the adorable brawl full of fluffy balls of fluff.
"Please…!" It was too late. The cats had arrived and their behavior had got even more aggressive. They started hissing and growling and screeching as the cats duel to the death neared it's beginning as Blake looked on proudly while Leonardo looked on with horror.
"That… That doesn't sound good." Ren's smile, while still present, turned slightly nervous from the sounds of the cats.
"Yeah, but- It's still pretty funny!" Neptune butted in. "I mean, just look at that face Headmaster Lionheart is making!" He chuckled, pointing at the source of his mirth.
"Those poor cats… No… Why…?" Blake moaned into her hands softly in despair.
"How did they get here so fast…?" He asked, almost dreading the answer as he slowly turned towards Blake.
Blake only looked even more proud. "I know, fast right?" She asked. Leonardo didn't bother pointing out that she didn't really answer his question.
"You know, he's right. Those cats did get there pretty fast!" Yang spoke up as her chuckles finally began to die down.
"Maybe they're like Zwei!" Ruby piped up, before gasping with realization. "What if they all have speed semblances?!" She shouted as her eyes glittered.
"You're trying to tell me that at least a dozen cats all have a semblance that has to do with speed?" Weiss asked skeptically with the ghost of a smile on her lips.
"SHUSH!" Ruby said, placing her hand over Weiss's mouth. "Let me have this!" She said, Yang giggling at the two.
"Wait, who's cats are those?" He asked concerned as they began hissing even further, many even getting physical.
"I didn't even think about the fact that those cats are just random animals…" Weiss noted thoughtfully. "Does this Blake's power have a limited range or…?" She pondered, before muttering to herself.
Hearing Weiss's words, Blake further fell into despair. "Those poor kitties…!"
"The question is: Who's gonna win?" Blake said, pointing a thumb over her shoulder at the cats as their fighting began in earnest, many of the cats hissing in pain as they bit and clawed at each other.
"Exactly!" Nora roared with approval, before turning towards Blake. "I like this alternate version of you!" She said, causing Ozpin to chuckle.
"I'm sure you two would have gotten along famously." He said as he sipped his cocoa.
"This is insane…" Blake mumbled to herself as she rocked back and forth while curled into a ball, her knees pulled to her chin.
"No, really, who's cats are those? I'm being serious!" Lionheart said with ever growing horror and exasperation.
"He sounds like dad!" Yang spoke up with a mirthful smile as Ruby giggled.
"He does! That only makes in funnier though!" She squeaked, before the two fell back into laughter.
"That's the real question: Who will win the fight?!" Blake said, completely ignoring Leonardo's fear and concern at the on going death battle of cats and kittens in the other corner of the office. "That's the whole distraction!" She yelled in excitement.
Sun couldn't help but laugh at the stark contrast between their Blake and the alternate Blake on the screen. "This is the best thing I've seen all day!"
"It's certainly a disorienting experience." Pyrrha added, before a sly smirk appeared on her face. "I didn't know you had this side to you Blake." She said, a small blush on her cheeks from the slightly out of character remark.
Blake snapped over to her in horror, trying her very best to sputter out a denial but Yang and Nora's laughter cut off any attempts she made.
"I can't! I CAN'T-" Nora cackled as she held her stomach from her guffaws, tears of mirth rolling down her cheeks all the while.
As the battle turned even more violent, Leonardo quickly shot out of his seat and began moving towards them in a rushed and uncoordinated manner. "They're going to get blood on the- on the-" He managed to stutter out, before the screen cut to the next scene, with Leonardo back at his desk and Blake and the other cat's no longer in the office.
"Is it over…?" Blake spoke up softly with a hopeful look in her eyes, her ears perking up slightly.
"I believe so Ms. Belladonna." Ozpin spoke up as he tried to hide his soft chuckles behind his mug.
"Oh my god, oh my god…!" Yang sighed as her chuckles finally started dying down. "That was the best thing I've ever seen… I need to try saving that… Watch it for later…" She said while her chest heaved from the exhaustion that came with nearly laughing oneself unconscious.
"Send it to me if you do." Sun said with a smirk. Yang smirked back.
"Done and done." She said as Blake groaned into her hands.
The next candidate was a young woman with short gray-blue hair and eyes of the same shade, named Trifa who sat down across from Lionheart.
"Trifa?!" Blake spoke up before she could stop herself.
"Wait, you know that girl?" Neptune asked curiously.
"Uh- Y-yeah…" Blake replied, nervousness barely hidden. "She's a… well not a friend but more like…" She glanced over at her team and gave them a look that pleaded with her to understand and she held in a sigh of relief as they nodded at her. "A former associate." Blake finished.
"Oh!" Sun said with realization. "Alright, that's cool." He said, letting the subject drop.
"Oh! Oh!" Ruby squeaked. "I wonder if she's also going to have some crazy semblance!"
"Hello." Leonardo greeted warmly. "Well, I suppose you can go ahead and describe your power." He said simply and straight to the point but in a welcoming and friendly manner.
"Wait, power?" Ren asked, slightly confused. "Not a semblance?"
Ozpin suddenly had a bright idea. "Perhaps this is the perfect time to use this." He said as grabbed the Theater Scroll, as he decided to call it, and pressing an option which read "Current Universe Analysis". After a few seconds of browsing, Ozpin found what he was looking for.
"Ah. It says here that in this universe, Leonardo Lionheart works for an organization that battles against crime and villainy and it is his job to recruit promising individuals with unique powers, in the hopes of bolstering their ranks." He said, marveling at the information he could get from the device.
"What about semblances?" Yang asked as she leaned on her seats armrest. Ozpin browsed for a little more before speaking up again.
"Oh, this is interesting. It seems that in this universe Aura, Semblances, Grimm and Dust all do not exist. It's a completely different world apparently. Fascinating…" He said in amazement
"Woooah!" Nora mumbled in awe, taking it at face value. "That sounds so cool!" She said.
"That's also incredibly hard to believe." Weiss spoke up, a wary expression on her face. "Are you sure we can trust that device Professor Ozpin? She asked skeptically.
"I'd like to think so. Perhaps there's something we might be able to see that we can use as proof." Ozpin said with a small smile, before Blake spoke up.
"Actually… I can't see Trifa's-" She paused for a moment, before sighing and simply getting it over with. Even with Neptune in the room, he didn't seem like a bad guy. "Faunus trait. Does that device say anything regarding to Faunus?" Blake asked as she turned to Ozpin.
"One moment…" Ozpin said, as he looked through the Theater Scroll. "It appears not. While different races exist, they are all human races."
"Uhh… I'm not… I don't know how to feel about that…" Blake said as she leaned back in her chair. Some bright smiles, courtesy of Ruby and Yang helped a bit but it still left her with a weird feeling.
Trifa smiled happily, before she raised a hand and spread her fingers as if to resemble an arachnid. "I can summon spiders, that-"
"GET THE HELL OUT!" Leonardo interrupted, his eyes bulging in fear as his jaw clenched as the screen began to shake slightly. "GET OOOUUT! GET OOOOUUUT!" He screamed as Trifa looked worried and confused, flinching back in her chair as she raised her arms as if to defend herself. "What…?" She asked but was barely heard over Lionheart shouting.
Ozpin couldn't hold himself back. Even as the rest of his students started cackling once more, even he couldn't hold himself back from laughing heartily. He just couldn't picture Leo being so afraid of something and seeing that here pushed him over the edge.
"That was- snrk- unexpected- heh-… Hahahaha!" Pyrrha couldn't hold it in and began laughing along with the rest of them. Seeing Jaune nearly fall onto the floor from his seat only made her laugh harder.
"THIS IS AMAZING!" Nora hollered with mirth.
"This is stupid." Blake said, although even while Weiss agreed with her, the both of them laughed softly anyways.
"GET OOOOUUUT!" Leonardo screamed once more as he stood up and aggressively thrust his arm, with his index finger in a point towards the door.
Trifa stood up and began trying to leave. "Okay, okay… Damn…!" She said as she grabbed the office door's handle, before opening the door and stepping out all while Lionheart continued to scream. "GET OUT! GET OOUUUT!"
"Fine!" Trifa shouted in exasperation, before she shut the door and the scene cut to the next one.
"Stop, stop, stop!" Yang managed to squeal as laughs wracked her body. She tried to wipe her tears of mirth away but she could barely focus on what was going on. "I can't keep laughing! Haha- wheeze- hahaha!"
"I've seen H- Headmaster Lionheart n- nervous before!" Neptune began as he tried to successfully hold back his giggles. "But I've never seen him so genuinely terrified!" He clamped a hand over his mouth, just barely manage to keep from breaking down again.
Finally, the laughs, cackles and giggles began to recede, allowing the cast a moment of respite from the assault on their bodies.
"Okay… Okay I- I think it's over…" Ruby said as she breathed deeply, thoroughly exhausted, but immensely satisfied. It wasn't every day you laughed as hard as that.
The next interviewee was Jaune Arc, who promptly and calmly sat down across for Lionheart as the man glanced at Jaune's file.
Pyrrha gasped as she saw Jaune on screen, immediately giving it her full attention. A wide smile split her lips in two as she bounced subtly in anticipation. Her behavior was incredibly undignified but she just couldn't help it. Not when Jaune was on screen.
"Fearless Leader!" Nora gasped in surprise and glee. "We're going to see Fearless Leader on screen!" Nora yelled, turning to Ren who also smirked in anticipation, eagerly waiting to see what Jaune's power would be.
"Something…" Jaune began cautiously. "Something tells me this isn't going to go very well..."
"It says here that your power is… Invisibility?" Leonardo asked disbelieving as he glanced up at the young man, an almost hopeful tone in his voice.
"Uhh… Yep. That's me." Jaune said with a calm nod.
"Okay, that is an amazingly cool power." Neptune spoke up, turning to the blonde.
"It's incredibly powerful as well." Pyrrha spoke up with an eager grin. "Just imagine everything you could accomplish with something like that!"
Yang smirked in approval. "Not bad Vomit-boy."
Leonardo set his file down on his desk with a thump as he leaned back in his office chair, looking relieved and happy at the confirmation. "That's… That's actually… Incredible." Leonardo managed to get out, still shocked at the young man in front of him. "We could absolutely use that for… intel gathering or something of that nature!"
"Exactly!" Nora shouted her agreement.
Even Ozpin couldn't help but agree. If Qrow had an invisibility semblance instead of his Bad Luck then he would become infinitely more useful and dangerous to his opponents, not that he wasn't already of course.
"Well like… The thing is…" Jaune began, looking down as if ashamed to say what he was about to. He bit his lip before sighing and blurting out the words. "I have to do a back flip to activate it." Jaune looked much more nervous now.
Jaune immediately picked up on his alternate self's tone and hesitation, his eyes widening as he realized what that meant. "Oh no…" He said.
"Huh?" Yang asked, obviously confused. "What's so bad about a back flip?"
"Well I- Uh… I mean-" Jaune tried to stutter out but was once again interrupted.
"You just do a back flip and boom. Invisible." Yang concluded.
Pyrrha covered her mouth as she realized what would happen but only half of it was in pity, the other half was because she was struggling to hold back a giggle.
Leonardo looked confused. He blinked and glanced to the side, before looking back at Jaune. "Then… Just do a back fl-"
"I can't do a back flip." Jaune admitted as Leonardo looked like his whole world just shattered.
A canopy of barely covered up and suppressed snorts and wheezes filled the room as Jaune attempted the age old tactic of trying to merge with his seat to hide away from the embarrassment. Even if he could do a back flip now, he was equally as unable at the start of Beacon.
"Jaune… Buddy…" Sun began, his entire body shaking from the strain of trying to stop his laughter. "You're… You're kidding… Right?"
Yang was no better, she had a hand firmly pressed to her mouth but even then tiny squeals of laughter escaped through the gaps. "Please don't- don't tell me it's true…"
"I can do one now!" He said a little too loudly, his cheeks tinted red. "But I just learned how to just recently…" He admitted and fortunately, his confirmation managed to stifle most of the laughs from his friends.
Lionheart stared at the boy with pure confusion, as if he had no idea what was going on. He opened his mouth which gaped like a fish, trying to say something but he just couldn't. "Then you can't go invisible." Lionheart finally accused with a hint of annoyance in his tone. "I don't understand-"
"That's a good point though." Ruby pipped up, still smiling mirthfully. "Can he even go invisible?"
"We'll find out soon Ms. Rose." Ozpin said with a small chuckle before sipping his cocoa.
"I mean- No no no, like, like I can still go invisible, I can still do it…" Jaune said as he began to scratch his nose, trying to find the right words to explain his ability. "I can still activate it. But I- I can't like…" Jaune paused as he tried to find the right words, before giving up and simply shaking his head. "Let me just… Let me just show you what I'm talking about." He said as he began to stand up.
Jaune walked into the center of the room, away from the desk so he'd have enough room while Lionheart shook his head in exasperation and simply chose to lean back and humor the blonde.
The audience all quieted and leaned forward in anticipation, just wondering what this alternate Version of Jaune would do.
Jaune paused for a moment and tried to compose himself as Leonardo watched on. The blonde took a few deep breaths and got into a stance, preparing to jump. After a few moments, he swung his arms and jumped into the air before he vanished. Then a second later, Jaune cried out as he somehow crashed into the very chair he was sitting on a moment before.
"Damn!" Lionheart shouted, impressed but also very concerned as he stood up and cautiously approached Jaune, who was moaning and groaning somewhere on the office floor, invisible due to his power.
A collective "OOOH!" sounded out throughout the room as the entire audience winced from the cry of pain on screen. Everyone just forgot to laugh or find it funny, so shocked as they were at the abruptness.
"Ow, ow, owowow that sounded like that hurt!" Ruby cried softly as she cradled herself.
"That was ballsy Vomit-boy…" Yang admitted, wide eyed. "Even if you couldn't do it, the fact that you tried at all gets you respect." She said with a nod towards Jaune, many of the others in the theater agreeing with her.
"Oooh!" Lionheart winced as he neared the invisible boy. "Can you tell me where you are?!" He asked frantically but he only got pained and groggy moans in response.
"Is… Is he okay?" Ren asked worriedly as Nora looked on nervously, Pyrrha clamping her hands over her mouth as she stared in horror.
"I uh… I have no clue. That sounded really painful and since Aura apparently doesn't exist in that universe…" Neptune spoke up and everybody winced a second time.
"Yeah… Ow…" Sun added absentmindedly.
"Where are yo- Ah!" Leonardo paused as he noticed something. He looked down at the ground and noticed the young man's blood staining the carpet which flowed from an invisible wound somewhere on Jaune's body. "Oh… No! He's BLEEDING!" Leonardo yelled in horror.
"JAUNE!" Pyrrha cried out, horrified at the stains of blood on the floor.
"Pyrrha!" Jaune said, as he grabbed her wrist and their eyes met. "I'm right here. I'm fine!" He insisted. She calmed down slightly and gave him a shaky nod after a few seconds but she still couldn't shake the voice in her head that yelled at her to help him.
"Somebody call emergency services!" He shouted to whoever may have been listening outside of his office.
"Aaah…!" He winced further at the pain the young man must have been experiencing. "Young man, where are you bleeding from?" He asked, with a hand on his head. When he got no response, he asked again. "Where are you bleedi- He's not responding…" Leonardo realized with horror.
"Oh that's bad…" Jaune winced, just hoping that his alternate self was only unconscious and not… not the other thing…
"Yeah… That's pretty bad." Neptune agreed with a wide eyed nod.
"Oh… He's not responding… He probably has a concussion…" Leonardo muttered to himself fearfully. "He has a concussion…"
"I hope Lionheart is right…" Weiss mumbled. She didn't exactly like Jaune but to see him so injured… Well, she didn't exactly take pleasure in it.
"Ow…" Blake almost instinctually rubbed the back of her head, wincing from phantom pains.
The scene changed once again with Jaune Arc no longer in the room and the blood stains were cleaned up. Leonardo was back at his desk as the next interviewee sat down, who wore a coat with a hood up, hiding short pale-green hair underneath. According to his file, his name was Russel Thrush.
"Oh… It's… Him." Jaune muttered with an enthusiastic tone.
"Him?" Sun asked with a raised eyebrow.
"That's Russel Thrush." Ren spoke up. "He's a member of Team CRDL, who, to put in bluntly, bullied Jaune relentlessly for a good portion of the year until recently."
"They hurt Fearless Leader!" Nora yelled abruptly with murder in her eyes, startling the Haven duo. "They're lucky he doesn't want me to break their legs!" She grumbled dejectedly at that fact. Sun glanced over at Jaune who only chuckled nervously.
Leonardo took a deep breath, before exhaling as he looked down at the file. He looked up a second later. "Okay. Can you describe your ability?" He asked.
Russel cleared his throat and leaned forward slightly. "I summon centipedes." He said.
"Ugh! Gross!" Ruby shook her head back and forth in disgust before sticking her tongue out.
Weiss only let out a "Hmph!" as she turned her head to the side. "I'd say it's only fitting for someone like him." For once, most of the people in the theater agreed with her.
"You got that right." Yang muttered, her eyes flickering to red briefly at the sight of the moron.
Leonardo didn't even wait, before he set the file down and pointed towards the door, his arm outstretched with an unamused expression.
"HA!" Yang barked out a laugh. "That's what he gets!" She yelled out in gratification.
Pyrrha's eyes filled with a new appreciation for the Headmaster. She knew it was a childish and irrational thought but she couldn't help it.
Russel stared at Leonardo for a moment, before looking at the door where he was pointing, before glancing back between the two a few times, finally settling on looking back at Leonardo. "What?" he asked confused. When Leonardo didn't respond, he glanced at the door once more before repeating his question. "What?"
"The door." Leonardo said simply as his eyes flicked to behind Russel. "Go on." He waved dismissively. Russel glanced back at the door with trepidation as a sad tune began to play.
"There's music for this?" Blake asked thoroughly surprised. "Sad music?"
"This is too good." Yang chuckled as she pinched the brow of her nose.
"But why?" Russel asked sadly, even as he began to stand up from his seat. "Why?" He repeated.
"Out." Lionheart said simply and with finality.
"Wow that's kind of brutal." Sun winced slightly.
"It's no less than Russel deserves!" Nora yelled triumphantly.
"But if this is a different universe… who's to say that Russel ever did anything bad?" Neptune spoke of quietly and carefully. "What if he doesn't actually deserves this- not our Russel, but this alternate Russel…"
"That's… actually a pretty good point." Jaune muttered dejectedly, a good portion of the theater sharing his thoughts.
"Man… Now I just sound like an ass…" Yang muttered quietly enough so Ruby wouldn't hear her swear.
"Man… Come on…!" Russel begged but Leonardo wasn't having it. "Go on." He said as Russel opened the door. "Why?" He asked but getting no response he simply stepped out and closed the door. "Man…" He mumbled as the door clicked shut.
"I… I feel sort of… bad now." Ruby spoke up with a small frown.
"I agree…" Pyrrha added. "I suppose we let our bias cloud our vision…" She sighed sadly and covered her eyes for a moment as Jaune patted her shoulder, which she appreciated.
Blake also felt like a hypocrite, her cat ears flattening underneath her bow. Here she was, someone who fought against discrimination and here she also was, glad that someone she didn't like was getting discriminated against. These were two different versions of the same person but she didn't realize that and judged one based on the other. Granted, It was hard to after everything Team CRDL have done to the faunus and her friends at Beacon but that didn't excuse it.
The scene changed once more as the door opened again, revealing a much younger Ozpin, who cheerfully approached the desk as he announced his presence. "Hello! I'm here for the interview!" He said as he sat down.
"Professor Ozpin?!" Weiss blurted out in shock and no one would blame her. The Ozpin on screen looked so alien… so out of character.
"Well this is a surprise." Ozpin said with a smirk.
"You look so much more… carefree… Like an academy student as opposed to a Professor." Pyrrha noted politely. Her assessment was something Ozpin agreed with.
"Okay, uhm…" Leonardo mumbled as he read Ozpin's file, before looking up at the young man. "What's- What's your power… exactly?" Lionheart asked.
Yang couldn't help but smirk at Ozpin's tone. "I'm liking how the more people he goes through, the more nervous Lionheart gets!"
"Oh, yeah you're right." Jaune chuckled slightly. "I almost didn't realize."
"That being said." Ozpin said, even if he couldn't hide his grin at Leo's tone. "I wonder what my alternate self has as a power." He took a sip of his cocoa, eagerly awaiting what his other self would say.
Ozpin only held a cheerful grin at the question and replied without hesitation. "I can put people in a time loop." He explained happily with his arms crossed.
Ozpins eyebrows shot up into his hairline as he choked slightly on his cocoa. That wasn't a power that he was expecting but somehow just… fit, he supposed.
"That's an extraordinary ability." Pyrrha noted with a smile.
"You got that right…" Neptune muttered, slightly wide eyed.
Leonardo only looked impressed. "Okay!" He said as he glanced down at Ozpin's file once more. "We can actually use that in a… Pursuit and capture situation-"
"But it does it at random most of the time-"
"Okay… Alright… There it is…" Leonardo replied as he dropped Ozpin file with a disappointed but unsurprised look.
Ozpin closed his eyes and raised his mug to his forehead as the snickers of Teams RWBY, JNPR and SN began around him. He should have expected it, what with the rest of the young men and women on screen but he didn't. Even then he couldn't suppress a snarky remark to save face.
"Leo reminds me of Glynda…" He muttered while holding back a smirk. The laughs only got slightly louder but he'd consider it a win. He could have these every now and then and Glynda wasn't here right now so who could judge him.
"That- snrk- that shouldn't be funny…!" Yang wheezed, desperately trying not to laugh. "But why is it true?!"
"Are you kidding?!" Nora shouted over to Yang. "She has that look during most of the day!" She said with a loud giggle.
"I've been able to do it accurately a few times but…" Ozpin explained with a sheepish grin and a shake of his head. "Most of the time it does what it want's to." He exclaimed with an amused huff.
"Uhh… I don't… What?" Jaune asked as he raised a hand in confusion.
"I don't get it either Jaune…" Ruby muttered with the same amount of 'I have no clue what that meant' in her voice.
"Professor?" Weiss began as she looked over to Ozpin. "Would you perhaps know what your… other self is talking about?"
Ozpin took a long sip of his cocoa as he mulled over his words before he responded. "The only thing that comes to mind might be that my alternate versions ability is either unpredictable or perhaps hard to control." He said. His answer seemed to satisfy most.
"That does make a decent amount of sense." Sun said as he turned to Neptune, who nodded back with a small shrug.
Leonardo stayed quiet for a few seconds as he stared down at the desk, before looking up. "Umm… What do you mean?" He hesitantly asked.
"Well uh…" Ozpin began but hesitated. "Well, let me just show you-"
"Oh no-"
"NO!" Leonardo shouted. "DON'T DO IT-"
"TIME LOOP!" Ozpin shouted, before vanishing from his place, Lionheart's head falling into his hands from exasperation and disbelief in response. "Ooh… Oh my god…" He mumbled in frustration.
Jaune's hand promptly met his face as several of his friends laughed out loud. He wanted to too, what this version of Ozpin did was just so unexpected he could barely hold in his laughter but he managed to keep it at a large grin and his shaking shoulders.
"What is happening…?" Blake mumbled as the last of her brain cells began to die and wither away.
"I don't know and I don't care!" Ruby yelled as she clutched at her abdomen which burned from her cackles. "This is the funniest thing I've ever seen!"
Ozpin truly felt for Lionheart now. How stressed the man seemed yet how hard he tried regardless of that fact… It was still humorous though and didn't bother suppressing his chuckles.
A few seconds later, the office door opened once more and Ozpin walked gain, exactly the same way as he did the first time, with the exact same words. "Hello! I'm here for the interview!" He said as he approached.
"Hello…" Lionheart replied, too exhausted to care about professionalism. He didn't bother lifting his head from his hands as Ozpin sat down once again, with the same cheerful and proud expression on his face.
"He looks so done!" Yang said as she barked a laugh.
"I feel bad for him now…" Pyrrha said, showing her sympathies to Lionheart but she still held a hand over her mouth as she giggled. Even Jaune next to her struggled to keep his composure.
The two sat in an awkward silence for a few moments before Ozpin hesitantly asked. "Aren't you going to ask me what my power is?"
"I can't do this…" Weiss muttered as she closed her eyes and buried her face into her hands.
Leonardo didn't even look up at Ozpin, simply quietly asking almost boredly. "What's your power…?" His tone held so much exhaustion, it was a wonder he was still sitting behind his desk.
Ozpin smiled. "I can put people in a-" But as Ozpin was about to finish his sentence, Leonardo spoke up as well and the both of them ended up saying the same thing at the exact same time. ""Time loop."" Ozpin looked shocked.
"I'm not sure If I should be surprised at Ozpin being surprised or not…" Blake mumbled as she massaged her temple.
"Maybe his power erases his memory…?" Ruby offered helpfully with a nervous smile.
"Perhaps…" Weiss relented with a frown. "But it seems a little… off."
"Okay…! Look!" Leonardo exclaimed in frustration as he looked up at Ozpin. "You already did this!" Leonardo began, tapping his desk for emphasis. "And then you put yourself in a time loop!" Ozpin's head promptly fell into his hands. "Ooh… Oh my god…" The white haired young man groaned.
Sun and Neptune snickered while Ozpin pinched the bridge of his nose, sighing deeply at the sight on screen. He could feel his alternate self's disappointment.
"I can relate…" Jaune mumbled quietly, Pyrrha offering him a gentle smile in response.
"Hey, Neptune." Sun spoke up, the two of them turning towards each other before Sun pointed at the Ozpin on screen. "You see him?" He asked, Neptune nodding in response. "That is literally you, except you don't realize when you're stupid." He said. Neptune looked away to hide his embarrassment as the theater burst out into laughter once more.
"I do this all the time…" Ozpin said but Leonardo had had enough. "Turn it off!" He said firmly but Ozpin only sighed and looked up at Leonardo. "I… I can't turn it off-" Ozpin promptly vanished once again.
"Where-… Where did he?" Leonardo asked himself in disbelief before simply raising a hand to his head in irritation once more. He wasn't paid enough for this. "Oh my god…" He mumbled.
"You have got to be kidding me…" Weiss murmured in amused annoyance hearing that Ozpin couldn't turn off his Time Loop ability.
"How long is this going to go on?" Nora snickered violently. "I'm not sure how much more I can take…!" She wheezed out the last word, before burying her face in her hands.
The door opened once again and Ozpin walked inside. "Hello! I'm here for the interview-"
"You used time loop!" Leonardo said in frustration before raising his head from his hands. "Turn it off!"
"What?" Ozpin asked in confusion as he sat down, before his form began to distort and he disappeared once more.
"Oh… Oh my god…" Leonardo mumbled as he slowly lowered his head to rest on his desk.
"It keeps getting worse!" Yang cried with mirth. "Lionheart is just so done he's not even waiting for Ozpin to sit down! This is so good I can't-"
The door opened again and Ozpin walked in. "Hello! I'm here for the-"
"STOP!" Leonardo interrupted, thrusting a hand forward with a gesture for him to shut up. "You used time loop!" He explained but Ozpin looked confused.
Seeing Ozpins expression, Leonardo spoke up. "Does your time loop erase your memory?" He asked exasperatedly.
"If he says "No" I swear-"
Ozpin looked confused for a moment, before he spoke up. "No…?"
Weiss promptly clicked her mouth shut and muffled a scream as she covered her face with her elbow.
Ruby cackled along with the rest of the theater at the admission. She buried her face into Yang's shoulder but peeked over to see Ozpin slumped in his seat, starring at the ceiling with some sort of face she couldn't describe.
"Oz what are you doing?!" Jaune yelled, his respect for the headmaster forgotten in his haze of mirth. Ozpin however, responded to his question even if no one heard him.
"I believe I'm digging my own grave Mr. Arc…" He mumbled softly.
"THEN WHY DON'T YOU REMEMBER WALKING IN HERE?!" Lionheart roared as she shook slightly form his anger.
"That is… a good question." Ren spoke up with an amused smile, trying to hold in his laughter.
"Please be a stupid answer, please be a stupid answer…!" Nora mumbled with her eyes closed and fingers crossed as her shoulders shook from restraint.
Ozpin lifted a hand to his chin as he turned contemplative, before he spoke up after a few seconds of silence. "Now that I think about it… I don't have very good short term memory…" He said right before he vanished again.
"YES!" Nora cackled as Ren sighed amusedly beside her.
"You're joking! Professor Ozpin you have to be joking!" Weiss cried, desperate for her entire image of Beacon to not shatter against the metaphorical rocks in her mind.
"I can assure you Ms. Schnee, this is a trait me and my counterpart do not share…" He said, slightly amused as Weiss's outburst as the Schnee heiress promptly levied a sigh of relief.
Leonardo's hand promptly met his face, before he dragged it down, tugging his skin along with it. He then placed both hand's against his face, before yelling into them, the scream being somewhat muffled by his large hands.
Yang cracked up at the sight once more. Even if a majority of the theater had gotten slightly numb to watching Lionheart suffer yet still found it funny, both Yang and Nora still cackled violently.
"Poor Lionheart…" Pyrrha mumbled with a sympathetic tone but her face still held a good amount of amusement.
'I feel like I have to apologize to him the next time I see him…' Ozpin thought. 'Even if this is an entirely different Universe I still feel inclined to repay him for dealing with… this...'
The door opened once more and Leonardo's face shot up. "ENOUGH ALRE-" He shouted but when the figure walked in, he realized it was someone else. The individual was a young woman with bright red hair and emerald green eyes. "Huh?" She mumbled confusedly but Lionheart only apologized before checking her file. Her name was Pyrrha Nikos.
Yang gasped as her eyes lit up with glee. "P-money?!" She yelled. "Oh this is going to be good!"
"We're going to see Pyrrha!" Ruby squeaked in excitement. "What's her power gonna be, what's it gonna be?!"
Pyrrha frowned slightly as she pondered that question. In all honesty, she would rather her alternate self also do something foolish and humorous, something so she'd be seen as… a normal girl and not the 'Invincible Girl'. She smiled at the thought. The chances of her hope becoming reality were high if the previous encounter was anything to go by.
"So ehm… What is your power?" Leonardo asked, his mood cheered up a small bit.
"Well…" Pyrrha began nervously. "It's a little bit complicated but… Basically, I can manipulate light waves however I want and-" Then the door opened once again.
"Hello! I'm here for the interview!" Ozpin said as he strolled in but Leonardo had reached his limit.
"He's STILL coming?!" Nora cackled as tears gathered in her eyes.
"We didn't even get to hear about Pyrrha's power though!" Ruby cried both disappointment but a grin fought onto her face at the fact Ozpin was still looping.
Pyrrha sighed as she heard her alternate self describe her power. It didn't seem too special but all things considered, it still seemed more useful then the rest. The thought saddened her, but her frown was replaced by a smile and some giggles as Ozpin walked in once more on screen.
"Wha- HOW IS HE STILL IN A TIME LOOP?!" He shouted in confusion and anger as Pyrrha looked on concerned. "oh my god… Get ooOUUT! GET OOOOUUUT!" Leonardo shouted before the screen cut off abruptly and went dark, signaling the end of the viewing.
"No more! No more- please!" Yang cackled up at the ceiling, Nora joining her as the duo tried to get themselves under control.
"I have no idea what we just watched… And I have no idea if I enjoyed it or not…" Blake muttered as she stared at the floor. Her tone was almost blank but the traces of laughs could be heard if one listened closely.
"It was certainly…" Ozpin began, trying to find the right words with a subtle smile on his face. "Interesting…" He finally decided on.
"that was one of the best things I've ever seen…!" Sun wheezed out with a satisfied smile. "Is there a way to save these clips for later?" He asked, looking over at Ozpin. "You know, maybe send them to our own scrolls or something?"
"Perhaps…" Ozpin admitted but instead of checking, he took off his glasses and sighed. "Let's just take a break for a little while." He said. "We can continue after we've all… calmed down."
"Yeah… That's a good idea." Ruby spoke up, before she suddenly winced. "I need to go to the bathroom! Berightback!" She shouted as she used her semblance to zoom over to the labeled door, which swung open and closed as Ruby darted inside.
"Does anyone want pancakes?!" Nora asked enthusiastically as she held a large stack of pancakes in her hand. It was then that everyone remembered that they could get any snack, food or drink that they wanted. It was safe to say that they would enjoy their time here thoroughly.
