Chapter Two

Now as usual, reading the familiar words, I find myself beginning to sob, my chest tightening, preventing me from breathing normally. I feel lost, now that my soulmate is gone. I claw with my fingernails at the nearest tree, hoping the physical pain will outweigh the emotional. Of course it does not, and I am left in despair. I still, however, cling onto the hope that I will find strength again. The strength to get up from where I'm kneeling slowly arrives, and I stand up, square my shoulders and walk back up to where my daughter is waiting in the car. She must now, as I have, go visit the grave. Her name is Chibi- Usa, or as I call her now, Neo- Princess Serenity. She is so beautiful today, her hair in its usual style, the odangos – or rabbit ears as some children have called her. It truly is disgusting. I sometimes wonder why I even allow her to attend regular school. Serenity always said that someday she would need to join the next generation of the sailor senshi, so new enemies will be defeated. Now, with a heavy heart, I open the door, tell my daughter she may go out to the grave, and I sit and wait for her, waiting for my sweet oldest child to return.
