Heheheh, man I'm sorry for such a late update. I'm just glad that my stupid writer's block is over with now xD. Man don't you just hate it when you get a writer's block? It's just so annoying. Anyways, this chapter was done during my writer's block, therefore it's not going to be the best chapter I'm going to write. But still, I hope you guys at least somewhat enjoy it.

R&R PLEASE!

Chapter 11: The Most Frustrating Thing in the World

It shimmered so brightly in the light, almost as if it were blessed with its own angel. But now, it no longer had anyone to protect.

"What are you going to do with him?" Kaya asked. Mia sat across from her at a table, and Daryl's Endymion Beyblade as well as his quartz dagger were lying on the table between them.

Mia didn't give her an answer, and stared at the two objects with hollow eyes. Kaya sighed inwardly, wondering when Mia would ever snap out of her trance. She remembered the other night with Ray, hearing the sound of crying from Mia's room. Why must she always shield herself from others? It wasn't as if Mia couldn't trust them. They were her friends after all. But Mia was different; the perfect child. It was amazing how Mia had so much control over her emotions that she wouldn't even cry at her twin brother's funeral. Kaya just wished Mia would let herself open up to other people. The hollow eyes that Kaya was witnessing said nothing, but past the void of emptiness, tears were shed from those glistening sapphire orbs.

Though the question remained. What would she do with them? Mia did not intend on handing it over to someone else. Besides, Endymion probably wouldn't even accept a new master. Would it just lay dormant for thousands of years until someone worthy possessed this bit? No one knew.

Nothing mattered to Mia anymore. It was so strange. She hadn't done anything to deserve this. After spending all of her life looking for Draconian, she in turn loses her brother. It didn't make sense to her. Everyone else had such good lives. Sure, there were the bad times that every human had to go through at least one point in their life. But they all had some precious memory to them that they could look back to. She had nothing.

The door swung open, and Tyson tried his best to look happy for Mia. Although she knew it was just another feeble attempt at making her feel better. She appreciated the attempt, but there was no way she would be happy now.

"Uhh, so…remember how you said to start sparring? Well…we uhh…decided to start putting it into the training regiment. We were wondering if you wanted to come see." Tyson stuttered. Although the further he went into his short impromptu speech, the less stuttering came from his mouth.

Mia wasn't quite sure how to respond to it. She had totally forgotten about that, and here they were continuing life before they met the twins and Kaya. She thought about it, and decided it would take her mind off of things for at least an hour hopefully.

"Uhh, yeah, sure." Mia replied. She sat up from the chair taking the crutch in her hand, leaving Daryl's bit beast and dagger on the table. Kaya followed suit, but she headed in the opposite direction of Mia.

"Don't worry about me." Kaya said. "I'm just going to finish off your arm and leg. They'll be finished tomorrow so we can put them on then, alright?" She finished. Again, another warm smile came from her face.

"Thank you, Kaya. Really." Mia said, although her voice was soft and didn't show much emotion. Kaya took it gratefully anyways.

"By the way. I haven't seen any of the other teams today. Do you know where they have gone to?" Kaya asked.

"Oh them? They're going to see some sights in Tokyo. Last time all we did was Beyblade. We didn't have much time to enjoy ourselves back then. They're still on vacation so they might as well have fun, right?" Tyson explained.

"Oh I see. Thank you." Kaya responded and walked off.

Tyson and Mia walked down the hall. Once in a while Tyson would start rushing, and would realize Mia couldn't catch up. Even though she was genetically enhanced, even she would succumb to serious injuries. He started slowing down, and Mia would soon catch up to his pace. He tried walking slow the entire way, so not to make Mia feel bad about being slow. Tyson was an idiot at times, but he wasn't rude. He knew what it was like to feel emotionally depressed, and it wasn't fun.

"Hey Mia. Glad you could join us." Max welcomed as they stepped outside of the dojo. Tyson's grandfather rushed up to her and immediately helped her sit down.

"The lil blonde dude is serious lil lady." He hollered to her ear. I'm not deaf. She thought abruptly but decided not to voice it aloud. "These youngstas are really suckin at this whole sparring thin. I tried to teach em a lil bit of martial arts, but they are dah most pathetic bunch of fightas eva! 'Cept Kai-boy and Ray o' course. But them can do anything!" He finished off.

"I see." Was all the response Mia would give out. Tyson's grandfather immediately held a frown on his face from her comment. He honestly didn't know how to cheer her up. Everyone else would laugh at him for the old man acting so young. At first she found it somewhat amusing, but now it didn't trigger any sense of humor in her whatsoever.

"Come on shorty, show us what you got! Or are you too busy trying to get past all the grains of dirt above you?" Tyson cut in.

"Didn't I say the next time you called me short I'd hack off your feet and stick 'em on your head?" She retorted.

Finally. For the first time in a long time, the Bladebreakers' gave out a genuine smile.

"I may be handicapped but I can still kick your sorry butt with no arm and leg."

"Twenty bucks says Tyson looses the fight." Max said.

"I say he chickens out before the fight even happens." Kenny wagered.

"Another twenty says there won't even be a fight." Ray continued.

"You all realize you're all going against Tyson?" Hilary cut in.

"Safest bet." They all said in unison while taking out their money.

"Help me I'm scared!" Tyson hollered as he ran behind everyone else. Mia had apparently taken out her dagger with her right hand while she was still seated. All Tyson could do was try his best in a verbal fight before Mia had taken that out.

"Don't worry about it Tyson, it's all good!" Ray said cheerfully. He smiled at Kenny and Max wickedly as they both handed Ray twenty dollars each. "Thanks guys, I really don't know why you're being so generous all of a sudden. But I'll gladly take this." He said happily.

"Yeah whatever." Max and Kenny mumbled in unison.

The training began once Mia was in a better mood. But of course they were still mere amateurs after only a day of training. They had all learned the basics however, and were certainly mastering those skills. They all walked slowly down the sidewalks of Tokyo, and Mia did her best to keep up with them. Once in a while people would stare at the girl and looks of pity would come across them. It was irritating how people pitied her because of her arm and leg. She didn't want their help, and most of all she didn't want their pity.

"I could go for some ice cream." Tyson blurted out randomly. As everyone stared at him blankly, he gave his own oblivious reply. "What? I've been thinking about it for a long time now!"

"Ice cream it is then. I'm up for orange this time!" Max cheered. They went to the same ice cream stand they always went to. It was small, but it served the best ice cream in the city. The man serving it was always so kind to them, and of course he had recognized all their faces by now since Tyson was constantly urging for ice cream. Even in the middle of winter he would start having random cravings for the sweetness of it.

"I see you've added a few new members to your crew." He chirped. He noticed Mia right away, and instantly, he respected the girl. "So what'll it be for you today?" He asked her.

"Mint chocolate chip." She said.

"Make that two." Kai cut in. They shared a glance at each other and the man scooped up two cones of mint chocolate chip. Everyone else ordered what they wanted and were about to pay.

"No need kids. This one's on the house." Everyone was grateful, but the man had sensed a mood of uncertainty from them. "Don't worry about it. How about I make this a congratulations for the new members of your team?" The Bladebreakers' all agreed and walked off with their ice cream. They instinctively headed to the river and sat down.

"You know, now that I think about it, Kai's always gotten mint chocolate chip before. I mean I would've thought he would be all bland and would like vanilla more than anything else." Hilary said.

"She's got a point." Max said. "I mean I'd never imagine Mr. Sunshine to enjoy mint chocolate chip so much in my life." Everyone turned their attention to Kai, who just ate his ice cream and ignored them.

"I like the flavor. I may be cold, but I still have taste." Kai stated. He looked over at Mia eating her ice cream as well. Since he was in the abbey his entire life, he'd never been able to eat ice cream until he escaped. But he still didn't know why he enjoyed this flavor so much.

----------

--Flashback—

"You're kidding me? You've never had ice cream before? But it's the best thing in the entire world!" Daryl screamed. He was eating his double chocolate ice cream cone while Kai was staring at it oddly. He had never seen it before in his life.

"Here, try some of mine and see if you like it before you get any." Mia offered. Kai took it hesitantly, and he bit into it without another thought.

"It's cold. Like Russia." He mused. The twins looked at each other and Mia took it back from him.

"You don't like it?" She asked. Kai shook his head, realizing it was silly to dislike it just because it was cold like Russia.

"It tasted good. What kind is it?" He asked Mia who was already enjoying it once again.

"Mint chocolate chip. It's my favorite."

----------

--End Flashback—

So even after he had amnesia, he still held on to their old memories somehow. Mia knew Kai wasn't the type to be sentimental, but without even realizing it, he had already kept a part of their lives with him in his palette.

"I'm gonna go for a walk." Mia told everyone. They all looked at her worriedly, but Kai nodded, understanding why she needed some time alone. Ray sat up to help Mia with her crutch, and they watched her go into the distance.

Once again, they were sitting at the river eating ice cream. Tyson picked up a flat rock and skipped it across the river five times. A smirk came to his face at his improvement since the last time, and he was feeling proud of himself. Hilary gave a sigh and looked over to Kai who had finished eating his ice cream already. He was a pretty fast eater compared to the rest of his team who still had at least over half of their cone left.

"You've got something for her, don't you?" She asked, and everyone knew her question was directed at Kai. He kept staring at the water, and closed his eyes after a second.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He replied coolly.

"Oh come on Kai. It's so obvious even Tyson figured it out." Ray said, making Hilary nod in agreement.

"I'm not that much of an idiot you know." Tyson shot back at the remark, but no one paid any attention to him.

"And it's perfect too since you guys were childhood friends. It's a known fact that ninety-five percent of couples were friends or best friends while they were younger." Hilary stated.

"And it's also a known fact that ninety-nine percent of facts are made up on the spot." He countered. "So you can't say that for certain."

"Yes that's true, but you never denied that you liked Mia, did you? That means you do like her." She shot back.

It was a war of who was wittier, and when it came to Hilary and Kai, the war could last an eternity and forever.

----------

It was getting frustrating walking with only two limbs and a crutch. Every so often, she would lose her balance and start to fumble before she caught herself again. One crutch couldn't equal the weight of two limbs, and she was completely off balance. There was nothing she could do about that though, and it was frustrating her.

She thought that helping the Bladebreakers' with their training would take her mind off of Daryl and everything else that happened, but it didn't help her at all. Every second of the day, she thought about her dead brother. And she didn't know what she could do now. It wasn't like she could risk going to Draconian again; and what exactly happened after they left the Coliseum? Did it just close up again, waiting for some other eager Beybladers to find it once again? What was its purpose? It was trapped in a huge stone, unable to break free. If it hadn't killed Daryl, then maybe they would have been able to free him. It was weird, but what if…

What if that wasn't even Draconian? It could have been just…

"Hey you." Mia heard from behind. She didn't turn around to see who the voice belonged to.

"You're the girls who were spying on us back at the river." Mia declared with confidence. The five girls behind her gasped, and the person who spoke first seemed to be their leader.

"That's right, are you some kind of super psychic or something?" She replied, trying to regain their dignity after being found out about their spying session.

"No, you're just bad at sneaking up on people is all. What with you're strong perfume and loud noises." Mia said. This time she turned around to face them. The girl who had spoken was wearing a jean mini-skirt and pink tube top. The others were dressed and fairly the same attire, if not different colors.

"Could you walk any slower? You couldn't even beat a turtle with a broken leg." She said.

"Well I don't have a leg. So I think I might have an excuse." Mia said, and she turned back around to start walking again. "What do you want?" She asked when they started following her.

"Only what's mine."

"And what would that be?" Mia asked exasperated. It was frustrating enough with two missing limbs, and now it was even more annoying with a bunch of girls following her acting as if they owned the world itself.

"Kai, of course. He is my boyfriend after-all." She said back. Now this definitely got Mia's attention.

"Oh, is he?" Mia knew right away it was a lie, but she would have fun humoring her delusion for now.

"Yes, he is. And I have no idea why he's hanging out with a cripple like you. I saw the way you were looking at him, and I am not going to tolerate having you all over him, you hear?"

Just another girl who's got a thing for Kai, not worth my time. Mia thought, and she started to keep walking again.

"Hey, don't ignore me. I asked you a question!" She snarled. Mia rolled her eyes inwardly and walked even further down the sidewalk. She doubted she'd be able to lose them, but what else could she do?

"Come on, Tasha, she's not worth your time. Kai is totally yours; you don't have any worries about that. Trust me Tasha." One of the girls spoke to her. So her name's Tasha… Mia thought inwardly as she kept ignoring the girls. She felt a shove to her left and she lost her balance. Mia tried to get a grip on her crutch when she realized something. Her crutch was missing.

"You're right. I'll just take this as a souvenir to remind me of how I beat you." Tasha boasted holding Mia's crutch in her hands. "Let's go girls. See ya later shorty, but I'm not sure we'll be able to see you since under all those ants towering over you." And they walked off laughing their heads off.

If Mia wasn't disabled like this, she would have beaten the pulp out of them. But what could she do without an arm and leg? Can't fight. Can't exactly run away either. She was stuck on the sidewalk without being able to move at all. And she wasn't about to crawl her way back to Tyson's dojo.

"Mia?" She looked around to see the person who had called her name, and was relieved to see who it was. Hiro stood behind her, and he raced towards her to help her up. "Here, I'll help you back to our dojo." He offered. Mia took his hand gratefully, and she put her right hand around Hiro's neck, while she tried to jump alongside Hiro with her left leg.

"Thank you, Hiro." Mia said. Hiro didn't give a reply, and slowly they got closer to the dojo. "You know, it's a bit awkward now that you're not my teacher anymore. I guess I even got used to you bossing me around everywhere I went."

"Well you're not my student anymore. You're probably better at Beyblading than I am now. I've taught you everything I know, and I tried to help you control your bit beasts better since you have so much power. I'm just sorry for your loss. I know it's hard." Hiro said, referring to her loss as Daryl's death.

"I know."

----------

"What's going on?" Kai asked harshly when Mia and Hiro stepped in the door. Apparently, the rest of the teams had come back from sight seeing around Tokyo, and the girls were showing off the bags of stuff they had bought. "Why are you…?" Kai finally asked again, and his eyes showed hurt more than anything else. But then he noticed Mia's missing crutch.

"Long story." Mia simply replied. She didn't want to tell them of her humiliation back with Tasha and the girls. "But Hiro helped me get back to the dojo so I didn't have to crawl back." She said, and Kai was silent after that. He didn't mean to accuse them of anything, but he couldn't help it. He was…a bit protective one might say.

"Well, no worries. Your arm and leg are already finished, so if you want I can put them on right now if you would like." Kaya said, and she cocked her head to one side waiting for an answer.

"As much as I love connecting each of my nerves, veins, arteries, and capillaries to a piece of metal, I think I'd rather pass for now. I'll just wait for tomorrow, thanks." Mia said.

Everyone else stared at her in surprise. They had no idea all of that was necessary to just add two limbs. But when they actually thought about it, there was no other way she'd be able to move the limbs according to her own liking unless they somehow managed to use their bit beasts for magic, which they highly doubted.

Later that evening, Tyson's grandfather had finished making dinner for everyone, and they dug in gratefully to the food, thankful to have a nice meal for them after that long day.

----------

"We're at sixty percent sir."

"Well hurry it up! This is taking too slow!"

"We're sorry, sir, but he has so much power this is taking longer than we had expected. And he's even resisting the process which is going to slow us down."

"Then this is your fault for not creating better technology for this!"

"Yes sir. Sorry sir."

Author's Note:

Wellpz, there's another chapter done. Like I said earlier, this wasn't done very well since it was written during a writer's block. And about those seperators, I have no idea why they're not working on my computer. Whenever I try to click on the thingy to make a horizontal line, IT WON'T WORK! It really made me mad, and I knew I had to update so I just used a bunch of dashes like most authors out there.

I'm gonna need help for my next chappie. I've only got a slight idea as to what my next chapter should have, and I just need an idea to get me started. So this is my question. Since the bad guys have already been introduced in this, it's ok to say this aloud ROFLL. How should I introduce Voltaire and Dante back into the story? I'm just really stuck on this, and I could really use some help PLEEASSEE! Whoever's idea I choose, I'll make a special thanks to in my next chapter lol, oh, and a major spoiler into the story if you want it. Heheheheh, so please give me ideas! I'M SO STUCK!

REVIEW PLEASE! AND I NEED IDEAS!
