Meanwhile in Hearthome City:
Dawn sighed as she walked out of the building after talking with Paris. She's been keeping herself as busy as she could to keep Ash out of her mind. It was hard though, as she was the happiest when she travelled with him. She always felt like she could be herself around him, and like she was able to achieve anything with him. However, Dawn is just unable to concentrate with memories of Ash haunting her. It also highly affected all her pokemon as well. They felt such closeness to him, especially Piplup and Buneary has been taking it hard. Recently, she got a call from Iris, and she asked if she was possibly with an Ash that was seen here. When she heard of people claiming they saw Ash, she thought it was just people imagining things, and it's what the police and Cynthia has said too. But apparently, there have been a lot of Ashs that were brought here from other dimensions that came here to stop Team Rainbow. "Oh, right!" Dawn shouted. She now remembered that Ashley wanted her to try and see if she could reach an Ash here, but she had something to do when she called. Now she had the time. She pulled out her poketech and dialed his number.
Someone answered, "Dawn?"
Dawn gasped as she saw his face heard his voice again. He had pink hair with a black bandana with green contacts, so it couldn't be Ashley. It made her heart race and she tried to compose herself. "… Ash?"
He grinned. "Where have you been? I've been searching all over for you!"
Dawn blushed. "Me? But, why?"
Ash looked down with s frown. "I just… missed working as a team with you."
Dawn gasped as her heart raced. She felt the same way.
"When I was with you, I felt as though I could do anything, and I have a huge task that I have to do."
"I know…"
Ash gave a surprised look. "What?!"
"Iris… she, and a lot of our other friends, have found a couple of Ashs, and called me to see if I seen you."
Ash gave a serious look. "I see… Is that the reason you called?"
"Yeah… They told me to give it a try to see if I could reach you."
Ash smiled with a chuckle. "Man, don't I wish I thought of calling you!" He scratched the back of his head with a stressed look. "I've been running all around Sinnoh trying to see you."
Dawn closed her eyes and sighed. "Sorry, I've just been really busy with contest and pokemodelling."
"It's okay! I understand! But hey, we can at least talk now and make plans to meet!"
Dawn smiled. "Yeah!"
A few days later, Dawn headed to Professor Rowan's lab in Sandgem Town to meet up with Ash. There, she met with Ash and Professor Rowan. She was so thrilled seeing Ash again that she ran up to him with tears in her eyes and embraced him.
Ash gave a surprised look as his heart raced and his face turn red, but smiled as he slowly wrapped his arms around her. "Dawn, I'm… happy to see you too."
Paul walked in with an annoyed look. "What a waste of time…"
Dawn gave a confused look. "What's going on?"
"Nothing! Nothing is going on, because Ash just had to find you and wasted more than a week to do so, instead of doing what Arceus sent him here to do!" Paul snapped.
Dawn gave an uncomfortable look.
"Come on Paul. You should be happy that you'll be able to spend some time with your wife!" Ash said.
Paul starred at him with annoyed look. "This is no time to be joking!"
Dawn crossed her arms with a confused look. "Seriously Ash… You know I haven't seen him till after we separated ways years ago and never had any desire to."
Ash starred at him with a confused look. A lot of things seem to be the same from his world in this one he was surprised to discover something completely different.
Professor Rowan sighed. "As it is good to have numbers to deal with such a foe as Team Rainbow, I do agree we wasted too much time looking for one person…" He looked over to Ash with a concerned look. "We haven't even begun to try and locate the other Ashs."
Dawn looked away with a blush as she heard how hard Ash and everyone here worked to find her. "Sorry I caused so much trouble…"
Rowan gave her a smile. "Oh no, Dawn! Please, do not blame yourself! It is not your fault! We should've put a bit more effort into what Arceus needed us to do!"
Ash smiled at her. "Besides, since we did find you, we found that some of my other friends have found some mes!"
Dawn gave a surprised look and nodded. "That's true! Iris and Cilan got ahold of me and asked me if I was with the Ash that was seen here! And with that, they explained a few details with me." She wanted to help them and see and work with Ash again. However, they said that it'd be best if she could stay there and see if she could find out what happened with the Ash here.
"I see. I guess that explains why you don't seem so confused on what is going on and what's being said," Rowan stated. Then he gave a serious look. "Are you able to give me their contacts so we can ask some questions?"
Dawn nodded. "Of course."
Dawn and Professor Rowan walked to the personal computer to make a video call.
Paul rolled his eyes at Ash. "You lucked out that you had other friends that was doing the work that YOU were supposed to be focused on!"
Ash smiled with his hands behind his head. "Guess so. I'm very grateful that I have amazing fr…"
"Not only is our universe in danger, but it seems other universes are in trouble as well, and you care more about finding your wannabe wife?"
Ash blushed. "I-its not like that, Paul!"
Paul rolled his eyes, not convinced. "Arceus put his trust in the wrong person, even if he recruited a hundred of the so called the so called pokemon master!"
Ash gave him an angry look. "You can't say that for certain! I bet if we did things your way… we'd…"
"We'd find all the Ash and have stopped Team Rainbow already, instead of wasting time as your other friends struggle along doing what YOU should be doing!"
Rowan glared at Paul. "Come now Paul. I understand that you might not agree with everything Ash does, but you should put your faith in Arceus, who is said to have created all of Sinnoh!" He then put his focus back on the video call. "… Sorry, continue on."
Ash frowned.
Dawn came over with a smile and put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, Ash. I have complete faith in you!"
Ash looked up at her and smiled, as he was feeling better from her words. "Thanks, Dawn."
Paul crossed his arms as he learned back against the wall. "Whatever." He then glared at Ash. "You better not mess things up!"
Ash gave Paul a serious look. "I won't! Promise!"
Paul looked out the window with a serious look. He's going to do everything in his power to stop Team Rainbow. He doesn't want them to take over the multiverse with them in control. He believes that Arceus meant that it was him and his Torterra, along with Professor Rowan or possibly with someone else that'll have to do the work to lead him to Team Rainbow is. "Arceus is lucky one Ash bumped into me," he thought to himself.
Back at Team Rainbow headquarters:
Jessie, James, and Meowth had time to pay their respects to Pikachu and were back to their cleaning duties.
Suddenly, a voice came over the speaker, "Jessie, James, Meowth… come to my office, immediately!"
They gave a worried look.
"That sounded like da boss," Meowth commented.
James panicked. "Did we do something wrong? Are we getting in trouble for burying Pikachu?"
Jessie crossed her arms. "Why would we get in trouble for that? Besides, it was Meowth who did it!"
Meowth gave a serious look. "We should get going, before we defiantly get in trouble…"
Giovanni pasted his office with a worried look, as his persian watched him with a frown. "How did this happen? I saw him! The autopsy report said that it was indeed Ash Ketchum who died! How was Ash in Cerulean…" When reports came in that people seen Ash, he thought at first that people were making things up for attention by photoshopping pictures. When a Team Rainbow member said they actually saw him, with showing on the Holo Caster that there was indeed a man with that pikachu that looked exactly like the face he saw his soul leave his eyes, that he then knew something was going on. "And what about the other sightings? Has he been busy, or…"
Jessie, James, and Meowth walked in.
Persian glared at them with an annoyed look.
"You called us, boss?" Jessie asked.
Giovanni glared at them with a serious look.
Jessie, James and Meowth all panicked.
"This is going to be your LAST chance, so listen to me carefully."
They all gulped with a worried look.
"O-oh, you're so generous boss! Thank you for this chance for us to prove ourselves to you!" Meowth said.
He harshly glared at them. "This is NOT me being generous!"
The group stiffened.
"We are in a bad situation, and I need all the help I can get on this."
They stared at him with a serious look.
He turned and stared out the window with a serious look. "Ash… is out there, alive."
Jessie, James, and Meowth happily laughed.
Persian harshly growled at them.
Giovanni glared at them.
They screamed, held onto each other, and were shaking in fear.
"O-o-oh no!" James stuttered out.
"How awful!" Jessie fearfully shouted out.
"What… what happened?" Meowth asked in a shaky voice.
Giovanni sighed with a stressed look. "I don't know." He then stared at him with a serious look. "However, this is what has brought you this chance. You will head for Viridian City to search for him. I will have some others come help search with you, and to make sure you won't screw anything up!"
They all sweated but nodded. "Understood, sir!"
"One last thing… If you do mess things up" He slowly looked over to them with a harsh look. "… there will be dire consequences for all of you."
They all looked at each other with their mouths open and sweeting.
Persian smirked at the three its master was talking to.
"Now, get out of my sight and start preparations for your mission!" Giovanni shouted.
Jessie, James, and Meowth panicked, nodded, and left.
