Hi lovely readers,
Thank you so much for your comments on the last chapter. It means so much that you're all still enjoying these prompts.
This was requested by Boris Yeltsin and is just another prompt with the whole gang and their children. I hope this was okay and what you were after.
Enjoy reading.
Amy loved nothing more than being surrounded by her loved ones, the love that she felt in her heart and that feeling of warmth and sheer contentment that would sit in her stomach was one of her favourite feelings and tonight was exactly that.
Sitting back in her chair, she took a sip from her red wine. Up here on the patio gave her full view of the garden and the scenes unfolding before her very eyes. Her husband and his best friends barbecuing, her best friends stood nearby drinking wine and their children, all of their children happily playing together. She couldn't help but smile as she watched Arthur, her youngest, and the baby of the group, trying to keep up with Lucas and Michael who were almost twice his age.
"You know it always amazes me that Sheldon is so good with a barbecue" Bernadette spoke as she sat down at the small table with Amy. Back when they moved here, a little over six years ago when Amy was pregnant with Arthur, she had envisaged evenings just like this.
"I think it's the Texan in him" Amy smiled. She would never grow tired of just simply watching her little family, everything about them amazed her. From the way they moved to the way they smiled and laughed she loved them more than life itself.
"Either way, I'm totally stuffed" Penny rubbed her stomach. "I think I've eaten enough to last me a week" she laughed before taking a sip of her wine.

"What are you doing?" Emily asked, shuffling closer to Halley, as they sat on the chair swing at the back of the garden. Emily and Halley had grown up together, as little children they were inseparable, almost like sisters however, now the age gap seemed a little too wide and Halley was almost now too grown up for Emily.
"Just on my phone" Halley answered with a shrug, not looking up from her device. At fourteen, she was definitely, very much a teenager and with Emily being just ten, in her eyes she was still a little kid.
"Mum and dad say I can't have a phone yet" Emily pouted as she kicked her legs, trying to swing a little more.
"I only got this last year" Halley told her. Even though, at times she was just a kid, Halley still felt this need to look after Emily. "I'm getting my hair cut next week, I'm trying to find ideas" Halley explained as she turned her phone to show Emily her Pinterest board.
"Are you getting it cut off?" Emily asked, noticing the hairstyles were much shorter than Halley's long, blonde locks.
"I'm thinking about it. What do you think?" she wasn't sure whether she would take up Emily's advice, but either way she wanted her opinion.
"I like it long" Emily told her rather honestly. She got that trait from her father. "I like it when it's in plaits" she observed the French plaits in Halley's hair.
"Oh this" Halley played with the ends of her hair. "I learnt to do this last week, I was watching some tutorial on YouTube for hours" she laughed. "Want me to do yours?" Halley asked, to which Emily very enthusiastically nodded.
—
"You know, it's so lovely to see her smile" Bernadette commented as she looked over at the girls. Emily was sat between Halley's legs as she braided her hair, the pair were deep in conversation about something. "She's been such a teenager lately, everything is always a bit of a drama" it was fair to say, Halley's teenage years were proving testing for Howard and Bernadette.
"We all went through that phase" Penny told them however, quickly realised that maybe Amy and Bernadette hadn't actually had a rebellious teenage phase. "I put my parents through hell" the under age drinking and sneaking out of the house, not to mention the raging hormones that came with being a teenage girl. Penny was grateful she had a son. Boys were much easier or so she'd heard.
"Oh, I'm dreading Emily at that age" Amy told the group. "She's like a mini teenager as it is" you wouldn't thinking it looking at her right now, as she sat so innocently, her eyes lighting up at the fact someone so grown up was styling her hair, she looked as if butter wouldn't melt.
—
"Em, watch out" she heard Lucas call from across the garden, she looked up just in time to see a football hurtling towards her. Both girls let out a high pitched scream before dodging to the left just in time to miss being smacked straight in the face.
"Sorry" Lucas apologised as he ran up to them, retrieving the ball from the bush behind them where it had landed. "Arthur was too little to jump and save it" Lucas explained breathlessly.
"Maybe, it might be best to all play a game that doesn't involve getting hurt" Leonard called over, the girls screams had gained the attention of a few of the adults.
"Arthur couldn't save it in time dad, that's all" Lucas explained, holding the ball under his arm. "We'll be more careful, promise." As an only child, Lucas loved it when they all got together, he was a sociable child and loved the company of both children and adults.
—
The evening had grown darker and a little cooler as the bright yellows and oranges of the sun began to set. Arthur was already tucked up in bed, a little too young to keep up with the older children, he had crashed just over an hour ago.
"Uncle Sheldon" Halley whispered, trying to keep her voice quiet. "Sheldon" she waved her hand up in the air in order to attract his attention. When his eyes landed upon them his heart melted, Emily was curled up into Halley's side, fast asleep with a blanket they had grabbed from earlier draped over her. "I think she might need to go to bed but I can't move."
"Has she been asleep for long?" he asked as he carefully sat down beside them.
"I'm not sure. I don't think very long" she answered.
"Thank you for taking care of her tonight. I know it's probably not what you want to be doing and fourteen but she absolutely loves you" Sheldon told her. Emily adored Halley, she had been so excited about seeing her today, it really was the cutest thing.
"That's sweet" Halley gave a little shrug pretending that it was nothing but Sheldon could see right through it. "I guess I love her too" she gave him a small smile as she looked down at her resting upon her shoulder.
"Shall we try and move her?" Sheldon asked, she wasn't his tiny little baby anymore and he wondered whether it would actually be possible to move her without waking her up. Gently, he pulled back the blanket, he managed to place his arms under hers and carefully lift her up. She stirred as he held her close to him. "I'm just taking you up to bed Em. You can go back to sleep if you want" he told her as he rubbed her back gently.
"Can Halley come to?" she mumbled sleepily.
"Sure" Halley smiled, jumping up from where she was sitting and the blanket still draped round her shoulders.
"Someone's a little too tired" Sheldon spoke to Amy as he walked past her and the girls still sitting out on the patio. Amy smiled and rose to her feet, gently brushing back Emily's hair with her hand as she placed a gentle kiss on her head.
"Goodnight my darling"
