Katie POV

Guess what? Today was Valentine's Day. The day of love and "surprising" things, says the Aphrodite girls. Pfft, I thought. Nothing really "exciting" happens on Valentine's Day. (Don't the Aphrodite girls) Valentine's Day is like, hey, look I bought you a Valentine. Nothing really exciting, as I said before. But I didn't know that it was going to change.

Travis POV

Oh, this is the day! I thought. Well, you probably guessed it. It's Valentine's Day! Why am I so happy? I left a little surprise for Katie, waiting in her cabin. I can't wait until I see her reaction.

Katie POV

"Katie!" my little sister, Lily yelled.

"What is it, Lily?" I asked

"This morning I saw Travis, or was it Conner? Well, anyways I saw one of them go into our cabin. Then he left.." Lily explained.

"Oh no, I'm heading to our cabin right now. I'll check things out, okay?" I said.

"Thanks, Katie!" Lily said.

"Don't mention it," I said.

Then I headed toward our cabin.

I checked everything! Beds, trunks, the bathroom, drawers, even our gardening tools. Oh, wait. I forgot to check my trunk. I opened it and I saw the most hideous thing, ever. Cocaine was everywhere on my stuff! Ugh, I bet this was all Travis's idea, I though. I looked in deeper into my trunk and found a little note. It said;

Meet me at Zeus's Fist at 7:30

PS. Happy Valentine's Day!

Ugh.

Travis POV

The conch bell rang. Dinner time. Everyone heard it and groups of demigods piled outside. I checked the clock, 7:00. 30 minutes before I meet Katie at Zeus's Fist.

I ran from my cabin all the way to the Mess Hall. Today was Valentine's Day, so Mr. D let us sit with our "girlfriends/boyfriends." I saw Annabeth and Percy sitting together, poking each other. Wow, it's always like that between them, I though.

I went in line and grabbed a silver tray. There were a bunch of pink deserts today. Pink cupcakes, cake, cookies, anything that could be pink. I snatched away a few cupcakes and cookies.

And I sat down and ate.

Katie POV

I checked my watch, 7:30. Oops! I rushed out into the woods until I bumped into Zeus's Fist (not literally, but you know what I mean). Then, I saw Travis. He was holding a box shaped like a heart and a bunch of red and white roses.

"Travis?" I asked.

"Hey, Katie." he said, also giving me his famous smirk.

"Um..are those for me?" I asked while pointing at the box and roses.

"Certainly, yeah, they are, Katie." Travis said.

I blushed. This wasn't like me. I don't blush at boys, especially not at Travis. But here I am now, blushing like a tomato.

"May I have a kiss?" Travis asked.

"Excuse me?" I asked.

"Did you hear me right, Katie?"

"Yeah.."

"What did I ask?"

"May I have a kiss?" I said what he said before.

"You must certainly can." Travis said.

And that was when he kissed me.

That's how my Valentine's Day changed.
