Future Trunks Returns Arc
On the Son Family Farm Goku is harvesting some cabbages along with Chi Chi, Gine, and Goten. Chi Chi and Gine like to come outside often to feel the earth beneath the soles of their feet as it feels relaxing to them, Piccolo arrives to tell Goku that Vegta went to go train with Whis without him, Chi Chi tells Goku he can go and Gine accompanies him. They instant transmission to Beerus's planet and offers him a lettuce ball from his farm. They talk about Zeno who is very powerful but not because he's a fighter, he can erase entire universe's as their used to be 18 instead of the 12 right now. Gine is fascinated all that power is controlled by what's essentially a child in both appearance and mentality. Meanwhile in the future timeline the world is once again thrown into chaos even more so when the androids were wreaking havoc, Future Trunks is running from a mysterious entity shrouded in darkness known as Black.
Having barely escaped from this powerful entity getting fuel for the Time Machine to go back in time from his mother, but Black had killed her and swears he will avenge her. Trunks goes back to the ruins of Capsule Corp, there he meets his friend Fyler. Fyler is a bit younger than Trunks, her hair is blonde, short, and wavy, she's also wearing a leather long coat, leathery gloves, and baggy pants. She lost her parents during the android incident, she has gotten to know Trunks after the attacks of the androids and helped him during this timelines version of the Buu incident. She's now leader of the resistance having to keep all the survivors safe and keep their spirits up, she's also barefoot having willingly given up her boots for a little girl. She's walked around barefoot so much that the texture of the rough terrain feels normal on the soles of her feet, this impresses some of her soldiers as their leader goes out to the field with them and doesn't even have protection for her feet. That's someone who definitely inspires respect.
When he meets her Trunks tells Fyler of his mother's death but say's that they need to do this for her sake, but Black seems to have followed Trunks to Capsule Corp. Fyler say's she'll buy Trunks some time but Trunks doesn't want her to get into danger, Black then fires an attack near Fyler and the radius of the blasts seemingly kills her. Trunks is enraged and looks up at Black as his veil of darkness fades as he's revealed to look exactly like Goku, His name is Goku Black. Black taunts Trunks on not being able to save his loved ones, this provokes Trunks to turn Super Sayian and fight Black but knows it'll just be a losing battle so he fires an energy attack to distract Black long enough so he can get to the Time Machine and get back to the past, Black can no longer sense Trunks energy anywhere so he leaves.
In the present Trunks is studying at School with his version of Fyler, they've been friends for a couple of years now and she's gotten to know some of his family and friends. She even knows that he, Goku, Gohan, Goten, Gine, and his Father are Sayians agreeing to keep it a secret even from her parents. She's even trying to become a martial artist with Trunks helping her with some stuff while Gine helps her master the basics of Ki control. Fyler comes with him to Capsule Corp. to do their homework, then a Time Machine lands in the yard area. Trunks calls his mother who then calls Vegeta to get the others wondering why the man who was inside it looks a lot like him and even shares his name, Goku uses instant transmission to get to earth. Beerus and Whis also decided to tag along to see what all the commotion is about, when they get to Earth they see Future Trunks passed out in a gazebo with Bulma, Trunks and Fyler watching over him. Vegeta asks Goku to get Senzu Beans from Korin's place.
When they give Future Trunks the Senzu Bean he wakes up and tries to attack Goku mistaking him for Black, but Vegeta is able to restrain him long enough for Bulma to calm him down. He formally introduces himself to everyone and they tell him everything that transpired since the Cell incident, he also talks to them about his version of the Buu incident and the recent losing battle against Black. Bulma deduces that Future Trunks came back to the past as it was his last hope against Black and also finds a journal that her future self left, Future Trunks now only realized that his Mother is wearing a Gi and also is barefoot while also noticing it with Gine and Videl who Gohan introduces him to. He doesn't mind it with his experience with his version of Fyler, Beerus and Whis are astonished that humans are bold enough to meddle in the affairs of time-space. Trunks decides to spar with everyone to gauge their powers, while this is happening back in the alternate future Black has suspected that Trunks traveled back in time so he uses his ring to open a tear in time to reach the present. The tear opens in the yard areas as everyone witnesses Black emerge from the tear.
Black expresses interest in fighting the real Goku which he himself is eager to fight and powers up to Super Sayian to engage Black, the two seem evenly matched with Black not even a Super Sayian being able to hold his own against Goku in his Super Sayian form. But Trunks is wondering why Goku is holding back his strength, the fight continues until the tear begins destabilizing and is sucking Black being dragged back into the future. Before being fully sucked in he destroys the Time Machine. While reflecting on what happened Whis reveals the reason Black was able to come the present timeline with his time ring but also says that's something a Supreme Kai should only have, Future Trunks wonders how he will be able to return to the future but Bulma reveals that she kept the version of the Time Machine Cell used to travel back in time and intends to use the notes in her future selfs journal to repair it. Meanwhile Black reappears in the future timeline and flies off, just as that happened the big toe of Future Fyler seemingly twitched.
Back in the present Future Trunks waits for his mother to finish repairing the Time Machine meanwhile Goku goes to train on King Kai's planet after Beerus and Whis refused him, both were trying to investigate the familiarity they felt from Goku Blacks energy. Back with Future Trunks he notices Fyler and recognizes her as the past version of the Fyler he knew in his timeline, he reveals to her that Future Fyler was the leader of Earth's resistance who died protecting the planet she loved. He also reveals Goku Blacks goal of wiping out all mortals from existence, meanwhile back in the future Black has become exited from facing Goku and seeks to fight him again to become more accustomed to his body. As Bulma is still trying her best to repair the Time Machine he seems Piccolo and Krillin trying to mend damages. Future Trunks learned that not only did Gohan become a great fighter but also a great scholar as well so he goes to thank him for his future version having trained him. He meets Gohan after he's done teaching at the university and is invited to his house for dinner, he sees not only is Gohan happily married to Videl being totally accepting of her being barefoot but they also have a baby daughter Pan who they love so much and also love having around her grandpa Hercule. This renews Future Trunks resolve to defeat Goku Black and Future Trunks returns to Capsule Corp. learning that Goku, Gine, Beerus, and Whis left to investigate the mystery behind Blacks energy signature.
The arrive at the Tenth Universe's Wolrd of the Kai's where they meet Supreme Kai Gowasu and his apprentice Zamasu who actually holds a disdain for mortals, Goku seems eager to have a sparring match with Zamasu. The Kai's have a little objection but Gowasu will allow it and Beerus tells Goku not to hold back, as the two fight Zamasu is baffled at being outmatched by the Sayian while Beerus and Whis note that Zamasu's energy is similar to Goku Blacks with Gine also listening to their little commentary. After the battle Zamasu notice's how Gine is barefoot and thinks it's truly barbaric, after that Goku and the other's return to their universe. Though they are unaware their actions only strengthened Zamasu's ideology of Zero Mortals, back on Earth Krillin decided to introduce him to his family, Lazuli teases Trunks about his history with her future self. Trunks sees that Lazuli is also dressed in a Gi and is barefoot just like his mother, Chi Chi, and Gine, he actually notes how different Lazuli is to the Android 18 he knew. As Bulma is putting the finishing touches on the rebuilt time Machine Vegeta decides to train with his son to see how much stronger he's become since the last time they saw each other and easily overpowers him in his Super Sayian Blue form. Vegeta is angry that his son is content with him and Goku having enough power to defeat Black, he then tells Trunks that Sayians should always strive to get stronger as to prepare for a strong threat.
On Beerus's planet Beerus and Whis are having dinner when they get a call from Zeno who requests to see Goku and Gine, back in the Tenth Universe Gowasu tries to change Zamasu's view on mortal's so he temporarily makes him a Supreme Kai and uses the Time Ring to observe the progress of a new race on Planet Barbari, though this is unsuccessful as Zamasu is only disgusted by the mistakes and imperfections of this new race and kills an individual who is tried to attack them. Gowasu scolds Zamasu for his actions as this goes against the Kai's teaching of maintaining the balance between good and evil, Zamasu expresses his view that all mortals are evil and eliminating them is true justice. Back in the Seventh universe Beerus and Whis have reluctantly accepted Zeno's request to see Goku and Gine, the two will keep quiet about the situation with Goku Black. Beerus also instructs Whis to keep Shin safe should Zeno lash out. Whis explains if a universe's Supreme Kai dies so does it Destroyer God, Whis then heads out with Goku and Gine to Supreme Kai's world. Shin and the other two are shocked that Zeno would want to see Goku and Gine but Shin agrees to take Goku, Gine, and Whis to Zeno's Palace. When they arrive at the front of the palace they are greeted by the Grand Priest, he show's them into the palace. When they meet with the Omni King who tells Goku and Gine the reason he wanted to meet them was because he wanted a friend to play with. They play for a little bit with Goku twirling him around and Gine letting him play little piggies with her toes which kinda causes her to giggle a bit. Goku then tells Zenny (the nickname he gave Zeno) that he and his mother have business to attend to and that they'll play after their done. He even promises that they'll get him an even better friend to play with all the time. Zeno the give's them a button to call him anytime.
Everyone then returns to what they were doing before just as Bulma finished repairing the Time Machine, they call Gohan and Videl for assistance once again leaving Pan in the care of Hercule. Goku, Vegeta, Gine, Gohan, Videl and Future Trunks arrive in his alternate timeline where Goku is immediately attacked by the resistance for looking like Black but Trunks is able to diffuse the situation. Fyler then greets Trunks and teases him for taking so long, Trunks is immensely happy seeing his version of Fyler alive and well who he immediately hug's. Fyler then takes them to the new refuge after the last one was destroyed by Black, it's bleak at times but some of the refugees still have some hope. Among them is the Future version of Yajirobe who was thought to have been killed during the androids attack, he explains he used Senzu Bean Korin gave him as it was the last time he ever saw him. After getting a few quick talks and their bearings Vegeta went outside, shouting for Black to come fight him. Black hears his call and fights Vegeta in his Super Sayian Blue form but Black explains that his experience fighting Goku has gotten him to adapt to his body and transforms into a pink Super Sayian form he dubs Super Sayian Rosé. Black in his Rosé form begins to overpower Vegeta then stabs him with his energy sword hand, Goku transforms into Blue to try fighting Black but Vegeta tells him that even he is no match for Black. Just as Black begins readying a Kamehameha Zamasu suddenly intervenes having revealed himself as Black's partner and tells him he is the one who will kill Goku
Zamasu states that he and Black both desire a world without mortals and their imperfections. They soon find out that Zamasu used the Super Dragon Balls to give himself immortality, both he and Black easily take out Goku, Gine, Gohan, Videl, and Trunks. This Zamasu states how barbaric it is that Videl and Gine are barefoot and how disgusting the soles of their feet are which Black can agree too. Vegeta uses the last of his energy to distract Black and Zamasu so Yajirobe to get them to safety, Fyler also gets Vegeta out of their as some of the resistance soldiers give her support. They return to their timeline using the time machine while Yajirobe and Fyler stay behind. Back in The Tenth Universe, present Zamasu learns of the Tournament between Universe Six and Seven utterly disgusted that Goku can harness divine energy, Zamasu also starts to develop interest in the Super Dragon Balls.
Back at Capsule Corp. Bulma and Chi Chi (Who are both in their Gi's barefoot) help Goku and the others recover, Beerus, Whis and Shin arrive to reveal that the present Zamasu had gone to Zeno's and forced him to give him information regarding the Super Dragon Balls. After the team told the three of their experience Whis theorized that the Zamasu in the future probably used the Super Dragon Balls to create Black but Beerus is still wondering how his energy is so similar to Zamasu and how he got the Time Ring, Trunks suggests that maybe Zamasu killed Gowasu and gave the Ring to Black. Shin takes Goku, Gine, Beerus and Whis to the Tenth Universe to see if Zamasu has killed Gowasu yet, Beerus tells them to not reveal the truth as they have a discussion with Gowasu about Zamasu's behavior. While he does express his apprentices doubts regarding the role of Supreme Kai and his relationship with mortals he still feels no concern. As Zamasu appears Whis gives Gowasu rice and green tea apologizing for interrupting the two before they head off. The group remain in space near the Kai World to observe Zamasu and Gowasu, when Zamasu kills his master Whis rewinds time to prevent the Supreme Kai's death, angered that his plan failed he try's to kill Goku before Beerus appears in front of him and uses his Hakai to completely disintegrate Zamasu from existence.
After Future Trunks had a talk about confidence with his younger self he learns that Beerus destroyed Zamasu with the latter convinced that all versions should be destroyed regardless of timelines, while Future Trunks would like for Beerus's theory of preventing Blacks existence to be true, due to the nature of alternate timelines he's skeptical whether anything has changed in his timeline and needs to see it for himself. Bulma decides to tag along this time and goes back into the future timeline. When they get there they see nothing has changed, they soon regroup with the resistance and give Fyler a Sensu Bean as she was exhausted trying to fight against Zamasu and Black. They sense Zamasu and Black approaching so they go confront them once again, Goku calls out Black for being a clone, while he admits there is a truth to that it isn't that simple. He explains that there was in another alternate timeline a version of Zamasu that succeeded in killing Gowasu but also learned of Goku and the other strong fighters so he wished Super Shenron to essentially sacrifice his body and put his essence into Goku, Gine, Vegeta, Gohan, and Videl essentially killing their original personalities and only keeping Zamasu's desire for no mortals. The time ring which he confiscated from that Gowasu allows him to be unaffected by the present Zamasu's death. The Zamasu currently here right now is the future timelines Zamasu and Black allied himself with as they used the future Super Dragon Balls to grant Zamasu immortality. After they destroyed the Super Dragon Balls they killed every deity from every universe as not to interfere with their Zero Mortal Plan ultimately saving Earth for last so the humans would suffer a long agonizing end. Gine said that Herself, Vegeta, Gohan, and Videl also had Black Counter Parts but they only fought Goku Black, Zamasu says that he only needed Goku Black to finish off the humans but since all 5 of them have returned he calls on the other Blacks.
Black version of Vegeta, Gohan, Gine, and Videl appear having the same sinister energy and look as Zamasu and Goku Black, each also having a variation on Goku Black's Gi. Zamasu calls them his Black Angels with Goku Black being the leader, Videl and Gine note that their Black versions are wearing boots which is totally opposite to their barefoot lifestyle. A battle begins with Trunks taking on Zamasu and everyone taking on their Black counterparts, as the battle continues the Black Angels tell their normal counterparts of how they destroyed Earth and everyone they know and love. This infuriates them to transform into their powered up forms but the Black Angel Sayians counter with their Rosé forms and Black Videl transforms into the Great Olympian Indigo. Everyone is having trouble fighting their respective foes but Gine and Videl would get the most precarious situation, as they're separated from the rest of the group Black Gine and Videl create energy rings towards them binding their arms behind their backs and ankles together. The binds also begin draining their energy as they both are taken out of their transformations what happens next is something both definitely didn't expect.
As Videl and Gine are stuck floating in mid air thanks to the binds the Black versions come close and start to mercilessly tickle the girls feet. "AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA NOOOOHOHOHOHO STOHOHPPP" Cries Videl, " NOHOHOHOHO YHYHYOHOHOHOUHUHUHU CAAHAHAHAHNNNTTT DOHOHOHOHOHO THIHIHIHISSSS TOHOHOHO UHUHUHSSS IHIHTTSS CHEHEHEHEAHAHAHATIHIHINGGG" Cried Gine. But the Blacks didn't care they're going to enjoy this, the Black version of Gine and Videl do have a secret playful side. They were very thorough making sure every inch of their bare soles were tormented, even the toes were not safe. "NO NOT THERE PLLLEEEHEHEHEHEHEAAHAHAHASSSHAHAHAHAH, IIIHIHIHIHIH CAHAHAHAHANT TTTHAHAHAHAKKKHEHEHEHE TTTHHHHIIIISSSS", Videl was bursting into tears. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, IHIHIHIHIHIH CCAAAHAHAHAHAHAHNNNNTTT GOOHOHOHOJOHOH OHOHOHOHOHNNNN", Gine was also in ticklish agony. Eventually it was to much that both of them passed out falling to the ground.
Goku and Gohan are also defeated as only Trunks and Vegeta are left standing, Zamasu and the Black Angels taunt Trunks on his actions stating that because of his constant meddling with the timeline is why Earth has constantly had misfortune. This enrages Trunks who explodes into a new Super Sayian Form, Super Sayian Rage, Despite this new boost in power Trunks is only able to hold off Black and Zamasu long enough everyone retreats back to the present. With everyone recovering Vegeta tells Beerus what happened in Future Trunk's timeline along with Black's origin, Beerus then takes his leave as he only was involved to learn of Black's connection to Zamasu. Everyone having recovered thinks of a way to defeat Zamasu and his Black Angels so Piccolo suggested using the Mafuba to seal Zamasu away just like it did to his father King Piccolo, Goku and Gine then go train's with Master Roshi to learn the Mafuba and Vegeta go trains in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Meanwhile as this is all going on Whis and Beerus head to Gowasu's and tell about the Future Zamasu.
Back in the Future, Trunks regains consciousness learning that Fyler had went to infiltrate the villians hideout. When taking out Goku Black fails Trunks comes in to save her, Trunk's tries his best fighting Zamasu and Black but the other's arrived just in time. Goku Black destroys the Time Machine so that they won't get away this time, Gowasu arrives with Shin as Gowasu tries to reason with his pupil but its no use. The fight begins this time they have an advantage over the Black Angels with Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta overpowering their counterparts, Vegeta and Gohan even manage to destroy their counterpart. Gine and Videl also start getting the upper hand on their counterparts, when the Black Gine and Videl try using the binding technique the real ones dodge them before tricking them into binding their Black counterparts. The Black Gine and Videl are furious that they used their own techniques against them. Gine and Videl then go over to their bound counterparts and have a mischievous look.
They rip off their boots from the ankles with only the shin part of the boots still on their legs as the Black Gine and Videl's bare feet, soles, toes and all are revealed. The Female Angels are furious that they vandalized their divine clothing and state that they will be severely punished by Gine and Videl have a punishment in mind for them as they get pay back and start tickling the female Angels bare feet. "AHAHAHAHAHAHA WHHHAAAATTT IIISSS THHIIIISSSS AHAHAHAHAHAHA", Black Gine laughed. "AHAHAHAHAHAHA THIS IS THE WHHOOORRRHRHRHSSSTT FFEEEHEHEHEHEHELLIIING IIHIHIHIHVE EEEEEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEVVVEHEHEHERRR FFFHEHEHEHEHEHEHELLT AHAHAHAHAHAHA", cried Black Videl. Videl and Gine were gonna make sure they suffered just as they did and possibly even more as they absolutely tormented the female Black Angels soles and toes. "DAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NOHOHOHOHO YOOOHOHOHOUUHUHU CAAAHAHAHANNNNTT DDDOHHOHOHOHO THIS TO UUUUHUHUHHSSSS", cried Black Gine. "AHAHAHAHAHAHA MMMAAAHAHAHSSSTEEHEHERRR ZZZAAHAHAHAHAMMMAHAHAHAHASSUU HHHHEHEHEHEHEHEHELLLLLLPPPPP UUUUUUHUHUHUHUHUSSSSSS", hoping her cries would be heard. Eventually they both passed out and they were carried to the ground by the real ones.
Vegeta and Gohan easily destroy their counterparts while Goku easily Videl, and Trunks try holding back Zamasu as Gine prepares the Mafuba trapping Zamasu in the jar, they try putting the seal on the jar but Black Gohan in his last dying breath shoots an energy ball destroying the seal. Zamasu breaks out and sees how Goku Black is weakened and the other Black Angels are either destroyed or incapacitated, realizing they shouldn't underestimate their enemies anymore they use their Potara to fuse into Fused Zamasu. Fused Zamasu begins showcasing his power buy laying waste to many large portions of land, he overpowers the Z Fighters with Trunks using his Galick Gun to hold of Fused Zamasu's Holy Wrath Attack. Vegeta lends aid firing his Galick Gun with both overpowering Fused Zamasu's attack but Fused Zamasu himself being unscathed, Vegeta gets injured as he protects his son from another one of Fused Zamasu's attack. Goku fires a Kamehameha injuring Fused Zamasu's arm then uses the Kaio-Ken technique to knock him down a bit. As Goku collapses due to low energy Fused Zamasu begins regeneration but it starts deforming that half of his body into a purple monster-ish look, Gowasu thinks this is because of the imbalance between Zamasu's and Blacks Immortality and Non-Immortality. Goku and Vegeta (reluctantly) fuse to stand a chance after Gowasu that Potara Fusion isn't permanent to those who aren't Kai's, Vegito returns and powers up to Super Sayian Blue with their fight being intense. Everyone else regroups as Bulma and Fyler finish the Time Machine. Fyler gives Trunks his broken sword which inspires Trunks to keep fighting channeling energy into his sword making a blade of energy, he arrives just in time as Vegito reverts back to Goku and Vegeta due to the immense power of Super Sayian Blue. Trunks then gather's energy from all living beings on Earth forming a Spirit Bomb which he transfers to his sword which makes the big Spirit Sword, Trunks then uses this Spirit Sword to cut Fused Zamasu in half, Zamasu can't believe he's been defeated disintegrating into thin air, but this victory was short as Zamasu transcends his physical form merging with the Universe itself intending to bleed himself into all of space and time. Everyone tries to think of how they could possibly stop this wishing for their own divine intervention when Gine suddenly remembers Zeno's Button, when she presses it it calls Future Zeno. They explain the situation to him as he erases Zamasu, with Zamasu now erased from existence Future Earth and the Future Timeline is finally at peace. Zeno agrees to restore the damage that Future Zamasu did by restoring Earth before him and Black ruined it and reviving all the universe's deities, everyone on Earth will try rebuilding for a better Future. Back in the present Goku, Beerus, Whis, Shin, and Gine then give Future Zeno to Present Zeno as a play companion but they also brought two toy's they could play with. Grand Minister is impressed with his son Whis and his companions. Later Future Trunks and Fyler say good bye to everyone as they will help try to rebuild the future, everyone wishes them farewell.
Back at Zeno's palace they play with the toy's they got. Black Gine and Videl were still alive so they decided that they should spend eternity as the Zeno's playthings so both are trapped in energy spheres that have them totally drained of Ki, only their heads with blindfolds around them and bare feet are sticking out of the spheres. The Zeno's are having fun tickling them as they like the funny laughter coming out of them. "AHAHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAHAHA GAHAHAHAHAHAHA PPLLLEEEAAHSSE JUUUHUHUHUSTSTSTTT KKIIIHIHIHILL UUUHUHUHUHUS", cried Black Gine. "AHAHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAHAHA AHAHAHAHAHAHA WHWHWHWHWYYYY DDDDIIIHIHIHIDDD IHIHIHTTT HAAAAHAHAHAVE TTTOOOHOHOHO COOOOHOHOHMEMMEEE TOOOOHOHOH THHIIISSS AHAHAHAHAHAHA" Cried Black Videl. Well I think their gonna have a agonizing rest of existence.
