The Savior 2

Hancock tried to form words as Izuku walked over to Sandersonia and then Marigold, rwoving their collars with a smile. Her sister chose her next act for her and tackled her into a hug that she quickly returned. Hancock felt their tears rain onto her head as her taller sisters cried in joy that they were free now.

"Is this -*sniff*- Is this really happening sister?" She heard Marigold sob into her hair.

Hancock broke into a tearful smile. "Yes, we're finally free."

She felt Sandersonia lean over and turn towards their hero.

"Thank yo-" *Bang* Sandersonia cut off suddenly at the sound of a gunshot and their hero pitched forward.

Hancock felt her heart sink before he shot forward and tackled the rifleman to the ground, snapping his weapon in the same movement.

Izuku dropped the bullet he caught after striking the marine in the chin, knocking him out instantly.

"Can you girls make it out of here alright? Fisher and I have already taken all the marines and guards we could find on the way here. It should be a straight shot to freedom."

Hancock felt her smile drop. "You're not coming with us?"

Izuku offered her a sad smile. "I'm sorry, but there are still people who need our help. Until the last slave of the World Nobles is free, I can't leave."

Hancock felt her stomach tighten and her heart soar again.

"Please, be safe Izuku."

Fisher Tiger panted with exhaustion as he carried a particularly injured slave over his shoulder. The poor Longarm had been treated as a toy by a particularly vile noble, who was now lying in a pool of blood.
"Thank you," The man weakly thanked Fisher, "Thank you so much."

"Rest now friend. We're almost out of here."

Fisher heard someone softly touchdown next to him and smiled as he saw his ally, a young human by the name of Midoriya, carrying multiple slaves in those black tentacles of his. They were mostly merfolk and a middle-aged fishman who clung to a blue-haired mermaid.

"Fisher! I think we're almost done. I've freed over 500 people and I'm finding less each time. How are things on your end?"

"Great! We need to do one last sweep but I think these are the last of the slaves!" He tilted his head towards the merfolk in Izuku's grasp.

"We've prepared a ship to help the injured escape. Izuku can help you get to it or to the water if you have the strength for the trip."

Izuku let the fishman to the ground as he carried the merfolk.

"Thank you!" He exclaimed with tears in his eyes. "I thought Helena and I would die here!"

"We're just doing the right thing," Izuku assured as the three ran to the docks.

"So, Tiger, what do you plan to do now?" Izuku asked as he and Tiger sailed away on one of many commandeered vessels.

Tiger continued to stare contentedly at the burning holy land as freed slaves cried, cheered, or hugged one another. "I'm gonna go home, have a drink with all of my friends, and tell everyone about the kind human who helped me do all of this."

"Thank you, Tiger"

"After that, well, I am glad that I got to see this better side of humanity in you, there is still much to fight for in this world. What about you? The two of us may now be the most wanted men on the planet."

"I'll find someplace to go, but like you said there will always be a good fight to fight."

"Sister, what will we tell the other Kuja?"

"It's been so long since we've been home. How do we explain that we've been gone for years?"

Hancock stayed silent as she watched the source of her torment burn.

"Do you think we'll see him again?"

"Hm?"

Hancock turned to face her sisters. "Izuku."

Sandersonia and Marigold looked at each other.

"Are you still upset he didn't come with us?"

"He's very strong and fast, sister. I'm certain he's fine."

Hancock looked back sadly, her frown deepening. "I didn't ask if he would be alright. I asked if you thought we would ever see him again."

"Well... anything possible, sister. I'm sure we'll see him again someday. Now, I have an idea of what to tell the other Kuja when we get back..."

"You know Izuku, you could come with me to Fishman island," Tiger said as he finally turned away from the beautiful light on the horizon.

"Really? You think they'd have me?"

Fisher gave the boy a smile before looking at all the relieved slaves on the ship: all merfolk or fishmen as the ship was headed towards Fishman island.

"I'm certain that Queen Otohime would love to meet you and everyone here would vouch for your character. I still wouldn't travel around alone mind you."

"I'd vouch for you," One of the freed mermaids added.

"I really would be happy to live the rest of my life without seeing another human," A particularly scarred fishman chimed in. "But I would still admit that you helped us greatly."

There were various noises of agreement all over the deck.

"Well, I don't have anywhere else to go right now. Are you sure it won't endanger the kingdom to have me there?"

"I'm heading back so it's not like there will be a target on it just because of you. We will have to go on the run after some rest, but I don't see why you can't come with me for now."

Izuku smiled at his friend. "I would like that."
