Omake: Big Mom lays down the groundwork

"We're here, Mama!" Harumeg called as she, Tamago, and Pekoms entered the room.

"Ah, good good good. Mama has something big to tell you Harumeg."

"Mama wants me to marry Midoriyouma?!"

"Harumeg, you've been saying that over and over again for a while now," Tamago placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I know you're nervous, but you still have two years and Midoriya hasn't even said yes, yet."

"But I don't know what to say to him! He's like, the coolest guy ever!" Tamago retracted his hand as the tailor measured Harumeg's arm again.

"Well, why not just tell him you think he's cool? I understand you're a huge fan of his."

The tailor, a handsome if short man, chimed in, "Yes, but that's more appropriate as a fan, not a perspective paramour. Bringing up one or two of his achievements would be good, but any more and she won't come off as impressive."

"True."

Harumeg just stood still and tried not to fidget as the tailor worked on her new dress. Have to look good when you're meeting your possible future husband.

"We still have considerable time before we reach the meeting spot. Just relax and let the tailor work. I'm sure you'll think of something to say by then. It's not like you have to completely seduce him, just don't freak out."

"You told me this Big Mom woman was on the same crew as your dad when he was younger. Just what is she like exactly?"

Yamato looked thoughtful for a second. "She's tough, very tough and strong. She also has an absolutely massive family of nearly one hundred children."

"...Really?"

"Yes, I hear she takes a husband every once in a while to father strong children. They're more her personal army than a family."

"And what does she want with me?"

"Big Mom has people marry into her family to ensure subordinate loyalty. It's how she forms alliances."

Izuku shuddered. "You mean I'll have to marry one of her daughters if I don't want to have to run from her too?!" Izuku had seen how demanding Kaido was, he didn't think another emperor would take 'no' for an answer.

"She might be an emperor, but she is still relatively reasonable. I'm sure she won't outright force you to marry anyone... But she will probably explain all the benefits of joining her crew. Insistently. I don't really know more than that."

Izuku sighed. This would be supremely awkward at best.

And he would have another emperor pissed at him at worst.

"Hey Smoothie, did you bring up Harumeg so Mama wouldn't offer you? You match with Yamato's basic description: White hair, tall, and powerful emperor's child with a couple of years on him."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"You know she might seriously offer you at some point, right?"

"... I don't want to get married to a man."
