A/N: Okay, guys... I KNOW THIS HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE, but I want to give it a go, and have some kind of mark placed in the Death Note fandom. XD Okay, without further ado, here begins the drabble/one-shot...

Oh, how Misa had loveloveloved Valentine's Day.

It was every romantic's dream come true, a day full of hugs, kisses, gifts and sweets.

Misa Amane was one of these romantics.

She absentmindedly walked throughout the streets of Tokyo, eyeing the stores lining the streets with an eerie gaze, as if no one, no matter how hard they tried- could possibly understand her.

Her peppy blonde pigtails were no longer on her head. The absense of the pigtails portrayed her no longer as supermodel Misa-Misa...but as a middle-aged woman, despite her true youth.

Nobody seemed to notice that a supermodel was walking by them.

Was it perhaps that her normal bright sea-blue eyes were now a null amber, the gaze so broken she seemed as if she would shatter to pieces if you touched her?

No, Misa Amane was certainly not tainted glass to be broken. Because...

there was nothing left to be broken.

All the pieces had already been shattered, scattered, nowhere to be found.

Because what her world had consisted of was gone...her Light...

A long forgotten voice slowly worked its way into her mind. "Yes, I imagine that would be dark."

L. L Lawliet, the man who was one of Kira's greatest obstacles. For another forgotten reason, Misa could not bring herself to hate him. He was one of the reasons her world disappeared, one of the many reasons...she wanted to loathe him.

But she just couldn't.

Another giggling couple strolled by Misa, who paid them no heed.

Misa's numbness fought off jealousy, or any other emotion that she tried to feel. It was strange that even though the tears kept a steady flow down her cheeks, she couldn't feel sorrow...not even a little bit.

She was suddenly aware that she was singing, a song that she hadn't sung in a long time. Not since she was two years old...when her mother had sung it to her.

Her voice carried on beautifully, and yet still no one noticed Misa.

Perhaps because she wasn't Misa Amane anymore.

Without Light, her parents, or even Ryuuzaki...she was nothing but another soul.

Dead inside.

She looked down below at the streets of Tokyo. She recognized the building that she had first set her eyes upon Light at. The tears flowed harder, even though she still felt as numb as ever.

She never thought about her regrets, her past, or her future.

Without another single thought, Misa flung herself off the tower, awaiting nothing as she fell into the darkness below.

The only thing that she grasped onto as she succumbed below was the mere fact that it was Valentine's Day.

She never purposely chose to die that day.

Mmh, might be a bit disorganized, since my writing usually is, but this is just a little tribute to Misa, who possibly may have suffered more than Sachiko Yagami. Possibly.
