A/N: So I decided to make this a while back after I had read another Dramione fanfic. I didn't exactly know how to introduce them as a pairing, so it may not be the best. I got the title, chapter names and inspiration through New Found Glory songs. Please enjoy and review. All of your comments help!

Chapter One:
The Goodbye Song
It had been a year since the "Battle of Hogwarts", Hermione Granger was sitting with her
head in a book again, as always. Her long, bushy hair made as a curtain between herself and the rest of the library. It was relatively quiet as it was only the second week into term.
"Hermione?" called a voice.
She instantly recognized the voice as Harry Potter, her best friend.
"Oh, Harry, hello," she lowered the book and stood up to greet him "What's up?"
Harry shrugged. "Potions homework."
Hermione nodded and looked into his pleading green eyes. Of course, she thought, homework help. She picked up her bag and placed the book inside.
"I'll meet you back in the commom room, okay?"
Harry nodded and stalked away with the mess of dark hair on his head on end.
Hermione and Harry were opposites, her hair was a lot lighter and her eyes were darker.
She swiftly walked out of the library to avoid the lurking Madam Pince. The lamps were lit, it was late. She walked quickly through the corridors and stopped outside the bathroom when something caught her eye. A boy, with almost white hair at the end of the corridor pointing his wand at what appeared to be a first year. Draco, she thought.
"Hey!" she called as she ran down towards the two other students.
Draco was smirking while the other looked as though he was choking. She pointed her wand at the child, muttered a charm and excused him. She turned to face Draco.
".Hell?" she quizzed.
Draco chuckled. "What is it mudblood? Remind you of blood-traitor Weasel?"
Hermione bit her lip and tried to fight back the tears that fought against her eyelids. Draco backtracked.
"W-what's the matter?" he grabbed her hand. "I'm sorry, that was dumb and insensitive."
Hermione looked appauled. Draco Malfoy, apologising.
The heat where his hand touched hers raged through her bones. She shivered slightly.
Subconsciously, she pressed her lips to his and the fire spread to her lips. After a moment one word broke the silence.
"Hermione?"
A/N: I'm sorry if this is slightly rubbish, I didn't know how to introduce the pairing. I hope you all enjoyed it and the big surprise is coming next chapter, hehe. Interesting twist.
