For the tenth time that night, Mephiles had awoken from his sleep. He couldn't bare the emptiness he felt, so he got out of bed and decided he would run for a while. The run helped a little, until his heart started to burn. Mephiles stopped and fell to the ground, tears fell from his eyes, the pain was too much to take. He managed to get up. Why was his heart burning? It soon stopped. Feeling the burning slowly drift away was a relief 'Maybe Nancy won't mind if I just visit her...' He thought and begun to run to the hospital. Nanaha was lying in her bed thinking about things, her gem illuminating the room with a faint red glow.

She started to wonder what Mephiles was doing, as she made circles on her stomach "Daddy's sad…he thinks this is all his fault…Sonic's the one who brought the drinks…maybe he thinks it's his fault because he agreed to stay another night…"She was talking to the baby, even if her genes accelerated embryo growth, she knew it still couldn't hear her clearly. The door opening startled her, Nanaha turned to the wall and pretended to be asleep "Her, sir?" She heard a male voice say "Yes...She is the one..." Nanaha heard one of the people come closer. She sprang up, her shoes burned off as her feet and hands flurried with purple sparks "Back up! Or I WILL spark you!" She yelled "GET HER!" A man yelled, but before they could jump for her, Nanaha was at the door "Sorry, but I have to leave now. Bye!" She rain for the main doors.

When she opened them, she ran into someone. She looked up "Mephiles!" "Nanaha?" "SHOOT NOW!" They looked back at the men "run!" Mephiles grabbed Nanaha and ran "Who are they?" "I don't know! They just walked into my room and tried to capture me!" All of a sudden, a bullet hit the back of Mephiles' leg "Ahhhh!" He yelled and fell, dropping Nanaha "Go! Before the catch up!" "No!" Nanaha used her Telekinetic powers to lift Mephiles off the ground as a pair of white wings grew out of her back "HURRY BEFORE THEY GET AWAY!" She quickly became air born and flew off, luckily, Nanaha had a hidden safe house, she brought Mephiles there, pulled the bullet out and healed his leg.

"Thank you..." he sighed in relief "I'm sorry about...you know..." Mephiles scratched the back of his quills shyly "It's not your fault..." Nanaha smiled "...I'm really happy about this though..." she blushed a little and turned away as he looked at her in surprise "y-you are?" she looked back at Mephiles "Yes, because...I..." she looked down, he put her hands into his "...Go on...please..." She looked into his pleading green eyes "I...love you...I love you a lot, Mephiles..." He brought her closer, which made her blush even more"...I love you too..." A smile grew on his mouth less muzzle. Mephiles brought Nanaha closer and kissed her, this surprised her, but she was too dazed to think about pushing him off. She wrapped her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. This lasted until they broke for air.

As they sat on the bed together, Nanaha nuzzled into his chest "Mephiles…" she whispered "Hm…?" he replied back "I'm happy I met you…" he smiled "I am too…and I promise I'll do whatever it takes to protect the two of you…" They stayed there for a few days, Mephiles going out to get things they would need every now and then. Nanaha was asleep, her hand on her stomach, with had gotten slightly bigger. Mephiles came through the door and saw her. Walking over to her, she slowly opened her eyes "Hey…" she smiles "Where'd you go this time she asked as she sat up "Just for some fresh air…" There was a bang at the door, Nanaha stood up as Mephiles switched into his crystalline form, pushing Nanaha into a nearby closet with him" shhhh..." he told her, she nodded. There was another loud bang, this time sounding like the door breaking open, and someone walking in.

"I know you are in here...Mephiles" Mephiles could see terror growing in Nanaha's eyes "Come out...and with your little girlfriend, too" He could seep into the ground and disappear, but he couldn't so that with both him and Nanaha. "There is no point in hiding...we will soon find you and Project Doom's Day...then collect our reward for her capture..." As soon as the person said that, hands came thought the wall of the closet and pulled Nanaha through, she gave off a scream as the closet door open and he was punched through the wall, landing on the ground, hard. "MEPHILES!" He looked up and saw Nanaha being gagged and tied by a blue and red hedgefox. He felt someone step on his back "Do not worry...we will not hurt her...yet..." the person gave an evil laugh as Mephiles' vision burred and he suddenly passed out.

Me: *laughing*

Nanaha: I think she had too much sugar…

Me: *falls on the floor, laughing* THERE'S NEVER TOO MUCH SUGAR!
