Me: sorry about the major time skip in this chapter…
Nanaha: if 2 weeks even is a major time skip…
Me: she still thinks the story's gonna end bad
Nanaha: It's going to…just you wait…
Me: since she's still mad I'll do it…We don't own Mephiles or Rouge now on with the story!
2 weeks later…
Mephiles carefully hid himself behind some rocks and looked at the base. Rouge was right, there were a few guards with some rifles and pistols, but they didn't look that strong. He didn't understand why he couldn't just dissolve and get into the base. He pressed a button on the watch Rouge gave him and a holo-map of the base appeared. On it were some white dots and one red. That one was Nanaha. She was in a room farther back in the base with someone else; he was guessing it was Haze. He turned to map off and grabbed his back pack.
'Maybe I should leave it here just in case I get captured…' he thought, and placed the back pack back down.
'Yeah, I'll leave it here…and if I by chance get captured…I'll tell Nanaha where it is and she can get it…'Mephiles stood up
'Maybe Rouge was just trying to play with me…I don't believe something that bad will happen if I use my powers to get in…'
He disappeared and reappeared in the base.
"See, nothing!"
He felt a sharp pinch in his leg as a light started to flash and an alarm went off. Looking down at his leg, he saw a dart.
"What's…this…?"
Mephiles saw some guards coming, but started to feel light headed. Everything started to turn black as he collapsed.
Just like any other day, Nanaha was watching Haze train with some practice dummies.
"You're not gonna train..?
Nanaha looked up from the ground.
"The commander said I didn't have to since, one, I'm pregnant and two, I am stronger than you"
"What!"
"His words, not mine"
Haze mumbled something to himself as a dummy caught on fire.
"I am NOT weak!"
Haze growled and turned back to the flaming dummy, only to see it missing. When he looked back at Nanaha, she pointed up. When he looked up, the dummy fell on his face. She just laughed.
"I can't believe you didn't see that coming"
"You and your little games…"
He threw the dummy at her, only for it to stop in midair.
"Hm…you got some new tricks since the last time we were together?"
"Only a few…" she smirked
At that moment, a red light started to flash and an alarm started to go off. Nanaha knew it meant there was an intruder, and she had a feeling of who it was.
"You stay here and train…I'll go see who it is…"
Haze looked at her.
"Why should you go?"
"Because I don't need to train"
"Fine…"
Haze started to hit more dummies as Nanaha walked out. She was scared that it was probably going to be Mephiles, but happy she would at least be able to see him after so long. As she walked up to the prisoner holding cells, two guards pointed their guns at her.
"Lower your weapon! I have direct orders from the commander to see the prisoner!"
They did what she said. One guard punched in a code and the door opened. When Nanaha walked into the big room, the door closed and a light flickered on.
"Nanaha!"
Mephiles' hands and feet were chained to the wall. She ran up to him and hugged him.
"Oh Mephiles! I'm so happy to see you!"
"I would be as happy as you if it wasn't in here…but I am still happy…"
"So many things have happened since I got here…"
"Can you tell me after we get out of here…?"
"I can't free you…and I can't leave…"
"Why?"
"Those chains keep your powers restricted and the only way to get them off is if you have a key…and I can't leave because of Haze…"
He growled "What did he do to you! Where is he! I'm going to kick his-"
"Mephiles he didn't do anything! It's what I did!"
He calmed down and waited for her to explain.
"The commander put this thing around my waist…and if I disobey him…he said he was going to shock me and it might kill the baby…Haze has the remote for it. I also…made a deal with Haze…he said he wouldn't kill the baby if I…killed you…"
Nanaha started to cry; Mephiles brought her close.
"I-I'm sorry! I…I didn't know what to do…"
"It's okay… I'd rather it be my life than its…"
"B-but…I can't kill you…"
"I'll…I'll figure something out…'
"O-okay…"
The door opened. He let her go as Haze walked in.
"Well well well…look who we have here…"
Nanaha stood up; Haze put his arm around her.
"Mephiles…right?" he smirked as Mephiles growled
"What is it to you…?" Mephiles said
"Nothing…just wanted to know…so Nanaha should we test if he's able to break these chains?"
She looked at the ground "The commander said not to tease prisoners Haze…"
"And since when do I listen to him?"
"Only when it involves me or the plans…"
He smirked "Good girl…"
Haze walked around Mephiles, tugging at his chains and making sure he couldn't get out. When he was sure Mephiles couldn't get out, he walked back over to Nanaha.
"Come on Nanaha…let's tease him a bit…"
Haze brought Nanaha closer to him, his fangs growing a bit.
"Haze…Do it and I swear if I ever get out I will kill you!"
"Hm…I can risk it"
Haze sank his fangs into her neck. She screamed and tried to shove Haze off but he was holding her too tight.
"Haze! Let her go!"
He stopped and looked at the door, the commander was standing there.
"You're just a buzz kill aren't you…" he said as he wiped the blood off his lips
Mephiles looked at Nanaha. She was out cold.
"Haze I told you not to do that to her! Bring her to the infirmary! You better hope she isn't dead!"
The commander walked out of the room as Haze looked at Mephiles.
"I would suck if she is dead…but...I would enjoy it if it brings you pain" he smirked and walked out the room.
Me: I'm done!
Nanaha: Yay! This chapter sucked!
Me: Hey!
Nanaha: what…it did…
Me: you're so mean…
