"Oh em gee, that is soooo corny!" Neru snorted between laughter.
Rin tried to steady her breath as her mechanical pencil's lead snapped.
"Sh-shuddup! It was just something I heard earlier, i-it's not like I wrote it or anything!" Rin stuttered. She'd never really been a good liar. Neru rolled her eyes and continued texting as their teacher continued his long (boring) lecture on pressuring. "So you like someone, eh?" Rin shook her head with a glare.
"You know, I'm sure they'd prefer a little kiss much more than a cheesy poem…" Neru smirked as she saw her classmate blush. Rin huffed and crossed her arms. "I will NEVER kiss Len!"
"So Len's the lucky boy?"
"I-I never said that! I've never even talked to him!"
"I never said Len either, YOU did."
"I don't like him, he's annoying and creepy!"
"Oh, so you've been on a date before?"
"It wasn't a date! We were just studying…"
"So you HAVE talked to him before?"
"Well, not really! I'd say something stupid and he'll hate me… It was only once."
"So you like him?"
"Stop, I'm confused!"
"Doesn't he like those weird banana things?"
"Yeah, they taste weird… wait, what does that have to do wi-"
"I thought you said you never tried them before yesterday?"
"I haven't, bu-"
"So you've already kissed him!"
"Wh-wha? N-not really, it was j-just an accident!"
"Oh, so you HAVE talked to him more than once!"
"I-it wasn't much talking!"
"Ooh, naughty Rin~!"
"Huh?... OMG, EWWWWW! NO!"
"What were you thinking, Rin! I meant you two played Monopoly! You're disgusting!"
"What…?"
"Tootles, I don't wanna be late for fifth period~!"
"Huh…?"
Rin nearly fell out of her seat when the tardy bell rang.
