A Steven Universe story where he has to deal with a very odd character whose just like him, but leads a life of sorrow, despair, depression, and suicidal thoughts. (A story I came up with a while back, using some of my life as fuel. Kind of want to see how Steven would handle someone who goes through a tragic life and is suicidal.) This takes place after Change your Mind.

Spinel is a Mermaid who has been captured and is soon to be put on display until Steven discovers her and helps her escape. Trying to get Spinel back to familiar waters, Steven does his best to befriend her despite her hatred and distrust of humans. The journey back to her home takes several wrong turns, but Steven is determined to help Spinel no matter what.

The Crystal Gems. The Rainbow Gems. Guardians of Earth and Protectors of Humanity. Despite their differences both groups are willing to do whatever it takes to fight for their beliefs and desires. Now, after millenniums have passed, a new generation of Gems fight alongside them. The past will collide with the present and only they themselves can forge a better future for everyone.

Pearl remembered a technique from long ago, Steven hesitated, and some people listened to cries far away. These lead to a pretty bad reality. (Or in which Pearl knew how to slow down the perception of time, Steven hated her for how she used it) Rated T just in case.

Subsequently dropped into Godhood with no explanation or warning at all, our once human now ascended young adult was given the chance to create and destroy anything at the snap of his fingers. Though now used to the powers, he grows bored and subsequently halts all of his original acts of creation. He instead opted to take a break and live amongst the universe of his own choice.
