Chapter 13: Frustration
Author's Note: All right guys thanks for the favorite stories and all and reviews are welcome! And this story is rated M, because there is obviously a lot of sexual tension between Aria and Peter, also in later chapters there will be violence, death, war, treachery, heavy petting, and the oh so wonderful lemons. But patience is a virtue and besides back in that time period no respectable Princess or King jumped each other with in the first week of meeting each other. Let's be realistic. That might happen now a days but not back then. Back then it was all about eye communication or the way someone moved their hand, or putting a strand of hair behind their ear to expose their neck. That sort of thing!
Thx again, and now on with the story!

I couldn't help but grin as Peter tightened his fingers over his fork. I had been running my finger across my collar bone, or accidently bumping my knee into his. His light blue eyes met mine and a growl formed in his throat before he forced a pleasant smile on his face and would say. "Not a problem Princess." His chest or arms were starting to develop a twitching behavior as the muscles flexed making the fabric taunt before he relaxed.
We had been in Narnia for three days now and we often played this game. Since our first kiss I hadn't given us the opportunity to repeat it. I knew deep down if I did I would have a hard time stopping it at just a kiss. Peter seemed to have my thoughts exactly because we were no longer alone with just Exander, we always had one or multiple of our siblings around us to prevent that sort of situation arising again. But by doing that I found myself dreaming of kissing Peter, of holding him, running my fingers through his hair, feeling his heart quicken against my chest. It was all I could think about and it was starting to drive me insane. I finally settled on riding that frustration out on Demetrius or practicing with Roan.
Edmund had even playfully joined into a practice sparing session. Needless to say I still don't think he's completely forgiven me for leaving that bruise on his ass when he fell on it. I had even started teaching archery to Lucy much to her siblings dismay, though she spent most of her time with the twins. "Aria" Susan questioned, I looked up at her. "Ready to go?" She questioned me and I nodded. "Where are you two ladies going?" Peter questioned, "a ride down to the beach" I told him. "Oh can we come?" The twins smiled up at me. I couldn't say no to them. I looked up at Susan and she nodded. "Of course you guys can come. Would you like to come as well Lucy?" I questioned her and she nodded her head excitedly. "Oh no invitation to us?" Edmund questioned faking hurt. I laughed, "Well if you two want to come too then hurry it up!" Susan laughed, I grabbed my traveling cloak and fastened it on. As usual Demetrius waited in his coral for me. Whistling to him he grudgingly made his way over. I gave him his sugar cubes before saddling him up and mounting him. Peter opened the coral for me, I smiled at him as we passed by him. He winked up at me as his shoulder grazed my calf. Applying just enough pressure that I could feel the muscle of his shoulder. My eyes met his for the briefest of minutes and I had never felt as exposed in my entire life.
Blushing furiously due to the rabid beating of my heart, I led Demetrius over towards the others while Peter closed the door before climbing up onto Maul. Edmund led the group followed by the twins and Lucy, then Susan, myself and Peter in the rear. Susan and I laughed at the kids excited behavior, so of course once we actually hit the beach the twins quickly dismounted before charging into the ocean and happily splashing each other. Of course Lucy quickly ran in after then, Edmund in after her to make sure she didn't get ripped away by a rip tide.
I smiled dismounting Demetrius to stand next to Susan. With a huge grin on my face I shoved Susan before racing into the ocean. "Aria!" Susan shouted completely unhappy at getting shoved into the sand before she got up and chased after me into the warm waters. I laughed methodically at her turning around quickly and splashing her with the water. Slight shock crossed her face before it turned into a playful glare. "Oh that's it then!" She declared before splashing me back.
Peter's POV
I clenched my jaw as her knee accidently grazed mine. Running from the front of my knee to the back of it. My fingers tightening over my fork as my body stiffened. The memory of kissing her flew to the forefront of my mind, my lips burning at remembering the sensation of hers. Taking a deep breath I forced the muscles to relax for the hundredth time since breakfast had started. Glancing over to her, she had the faintest of smiles on those rosy lips that had been haunting me with the kiss that she never should have given me.
Moving my eyes upwards her own honey brown were filled with humor and pleasure at my witnessing my torment. But not that she had my attention she faintly ran her finger back and forth against her collar bone with a feather light touch. I closed my eyes briefly trying to control the urges that were suddenly rising. Forcing myself to relax and get under control I opened my eyes again only to see Aria and Susan had stood up and were about to leave the table. "Would you like to come as well Lucy?" Aria questioned her and she nodded her head excitedly. "What and no invite to us?" Edmund questioned her. She laughed, "well if you two hurry up and finish your food then you can come!" Susan chuckled as they quickly left the table to gather their riding cloaks.
"What's going on with you?" Edmund questioned me, I looked over at him as we walked down the hallways of Cair Paravel to meet up with everyone else. "What do you mean?" I questioned him. "You look like a man possessed" Edmund joked, I sighed. He had no idea how close to the truth he really was. Edmund sighed, "If you're that infatuated with her then court her Pete, it's not rocket science" Edmund stated. "Says the man that doesn't have to worry about her rejection" I told him.
Edmund roared with laughter at my words. "Rejection? Please with the googly eyes she's always making at you! You could ask her to runaway with you and elope and live in the Lone Islands and she'd agree in a heartbeat and you know it!" Edmund joked, I gave him a look but a grin spread across my face at his words as confidence swelled in me as we walked out to the coral. Lucy, Susan and the twins were already on their horses while Aria was standing in the coral putting the saddle on Demetrius.
She mounted him as I undid the coral door for her, opening it up wide as her and Demetrius walked by me. She tried not to look at me as she fixed her eyes ahead. I smiled, that wouldn't do. I moved pressing my shoulder against her calf. Her eyes instantly met mine, curiosity was the first emotion that ran through them. Then that same look crossed her eyes as when I had kissed her before a furious blush painted her face as she stressed upon Demetrius to move faster.
Smirking to myself, proud of the affect I had on her as I quickly closed the coral and mounted Maul and rode after them towards the beach. I sat on top of Maul watching them playing in the ocean. "Come on Peter!" Lucy called back out to me. I smiled and got off Maul and raced in after them. Grabbing Lucy around her waist lifting her clean out of the water before tossing her back in.
I watched Aria ring out her hair as we made our way into Cair Paravel to dry off after the trip down to the beach. "Just do it" Edmund encouraged. "What?" Susan questioned the brotherly encouragement. "He's going to ask her for courtship" Edmund smiled. "Have you gone through her father yet?" Susan questioned and I shook my head. A disapproving look crossed her face. "You have to go through her father first Peter" Susan informed me. "I know, I know but this is killing me!" I told her, and she chuckled. "It'll be fine Peter you're being dramatic" she smiled only for Roan to run past us and right up to Aria who was walking out of ear shot ahead of us with Lucy and the twins. He handed her a letter and she didn't waste time in excusing herself into her room to read it in privacy.
I craned my neck, frowning slightly when she didn't smile at me before she left. "Got it bad" Edmund cooed playfully from behind me. I glared at him and shoved him which only made him laugh. I followed her into the library where she had gone to read her letter in privacy. Looking in the room she was sitting on the window seat looking out towards the oceans. The letter discarded next to her.
Her eyes were dark as they watched the waters without really seeing them. I frowned at seeing her so upset. "Everything all right?" I questioned her. She jumped, startled by my voice. I couldn't help but chuckle only to stop at seeing her quickly wipe at her eyes before looking back towards the window. "Just fine you're majesty" she said reflexively picking up the letter and quickly folding it and hiding it inside her sleeve. "You're a terrible liar princess" I smiled sitting across from her, letting my back relax against the wall.
"And those the words of a gentleman?" She teased playfully raising an eyebrow. I raised an eyebrow back at her. She was covering her upset feelings with playful bantering. If that's what she wanted instead of talking about what was upsetting her so then so be it. "Well I never said I was a gentleman" I winked playfully at her making her giggle and smile softly before resting her head back against the wall. That sad expression was taking over her face again.
"What news of Archland?" I questioned her, trying to persuade her to open up. "Nothing out of the usual" she smiled at me. But it didn't reach her eyes. I knew she wasn't telling me the whole truth but I didn't want to pressure her on it too bad. "You know Princess you look more beautiful when you're smile means it" I informed her. "And what makes you think I don't mean it?" She questioned, "It doesn't reach your eyes" I told her briefly touching her cheek. A blush spread rapidly across her face at the touch. "Well maybe there's not anything to smile about" she teased, I cocked my head to the side. "There's always something to smile about" I told her standing up and holding my hand out. She raised an eyebrow before slowly taking it.
I pulled her to her feet wrapping her arm around mine leading her back down to a separate set of stables. "Where are we going?" She questioned me, "I'm going to prove it to you"
