It was the middle of the night at Duel Academy, and inside the Obelisk Dorm, Chazz was on a call with Bonaparte.
Chazz: What do you mean you won't acknowledge the dorm?
Bonaparte: Listen Chazz, new paintjob or not, that's still the blue dorm. That's Crowler's opinion on the matter.
Chazz: So what, what Crowler says goes?
Bonaparte: Well, he is acting Chancellor. Of course, if another dorm were to say, disappear, then your dorm would be approved.
Chazz: What are you going on about?
Bonaparte: If you get rid of the Slifer dorm, and Jaden Yuki in particular, then I'll see to it your dorm is made official.
Chazz: You don't have to pull my leg. I intended to crush him from the start. Jaden Yuki, you're through.
In Jaden's room, he was looking over his deck when he suddenly sneezed.
Jaden: Bless me. Must be something in the air.
Meanwhile, Sartorius was doing a tarot reading and he revealed The Fool.
Sartorius: Jaden Yuki. I must know if the limitless potential this card represents will be of use to me, or will be a threat to me. I trust everything is ready?
Miranda: Yes, sir.
She took a seat in the Obelisk dorm and looked at a file of one of the society members.
Miranda: Once this guy is through with Jaden, he'll see the light.
The next day, Miranda and Chazz were in the room of the society member Miranda checked out last night. He was Lorenzo, the former world video game champ, and he was in the middle of a game when they walked in.
Chazz: Quit wasting quarters Lorenzo. There's business to take care of.
Lorenzo: Yeah, I heard youse want me to take care of that Jaden kid, right?
Chazz: Just beat him. Then our dorm will be recognized as official, got it?
Lorenzo: Hey, you get him to me, and then fuhgeddaboudit!
Miranda: We already have that covered. You just need to make sure you win.
Lorenzo: I'll do what I gotta do paisans. Jaden is goin' down.
Meanwhile, Jaden was sitting with Syrus, Hassleberry, and Bastion when he sneezed again.
Jaden: Bless me. I'm starting to think I'm allergic to something.
Hassleberry: It might be that new body spray you put on.
Syrus: Yeah, what gives?
Jaden: Alexis sent me a message asking me to meet her at the Obelisk planetarium for a duel, and I just wanted to make an effort.
Bastion: Really? Well, have a nice time. So, when's the date?
Jaden: Not sure if I'd call it a date, but she asked me to meet her at 2 o'clock.
Syrus: Jaden, that's in 5 minutes.
Jaden: What?! I gotta run. See you guys later!
He picked up his cards and duel disk and ran off to the planetarium as fast as he could.
Bastion: Well, that's Jaden for you.
Hassleberry: Anyone up for some grub?
Syrus: Sure.
They all went down to the card shack to grab a bite and found Michael, Lily, and Alexis there.
Bastion: What are you doing here Alexis? I thought you had a date with Jaden.
Alexis: What are you talking about?
Syrus: Jaden told us you sent him a message asking him to meet you in the planetarium at 2 o'clock.
Alexis: I couldn't have sent that message. I lost my pda this morning.
Hassleberry: Come again?
Alexis: It was after gym class. I had just come out of the showers, and when I checked my gym bag, my pda was gone.
Lily: Wait, what if someone stole it to send Jaden a message?
Michael: If that's the case, then Jaden is walking into a trap.
Alexis: Let's go!
They all ran to the planetarium to try and stop Jaden, but he had already arrived.
Jaden: Alexis? You here? Sorry if I'm a little late.
Chazz: Actually, you're right on time.
Jaden: Chazz? Where's Alexis?
Miranda: She's not here. And she didn't send that message, I did. And you're here to duel.
Jaden: Then bring it on.
Miranda: Not me. You're dueling him.
Lorenzo: Hey J-man, how you doin? What say we dim the lights and get started?
He snapped his fingers and the lights dimmed before the projectors activated, beaming an image of outer space onto the walls of the room.
Jaden: Nice view, but who are you?
Miranda: That's Lorenzo, former world video game champ. By the way, if you lose, your dorm is history.
Chazz: And if you run, you forfeit the duel and your dorm is still history, so what'll it be Jaden?
Jaden: Alright, I'll duel.
Lorenzo: Hey, fuhgeddaboudit. Badabing, you know what I'm sayin'?
Jaden: Not really, but let's just duel.
Alexis: Jaden!
Jaden turned to the entrance and saw everyone running up to him.
Jaden: Hey guys. You're just in time for the duel.
Syrus: Duel? With who?
Bastion: Isn't that Lorenzo? The video game champ?
Miranda: Indeed. And if he wins, the red dorm is getting torn down. By the way Alexis, you should keep a closer eye on your gym bag.
She reached into her back pocket before tossing Alexis her pda.
Alexis: So you're the one who took it from my bag.
Jaden: Okay Lorenzo, let's throw down.
Lorenzo: 4000 LP

Lorenzo: I'll take the first move. Armored Core, get over here, will ya?

Lorenzo: Not bad, right? This ain't just any intergalactic star cruiser ya know. This baby's got leather seats, tinted windows, the whole shebang. Next I place one card face-down and activate my Boss Rush continuous spell. I'll end my turn there.
Jaden: Alright, my move. And I summon Elemental Hero Burstinatrix in attack mode!

Jaden: And next I play the field spell Skyscraper! While this card is in play, when Elemental Heroes battle monsters stronger than they are, they gain 1000 attack points for the battle.

Jaden: Okay Burstintrix, attack with Burstfire!
Burstinatrix created a ball of fire in her hands before launching it at Armored Core, destroying it.
Lorenzo: 3100 LP
Lorenzo: Not bad J man, but I play the continuous trap Cyber Summon Blaster. With this card, every time I special summon a machine type monster, you take 300 points a damage, capiche?
Michael: That's bad.
Syrus: How come?
Lily: Due to Lorenzo's Boss Rush spell, at the end of a turn one of his monsters is destroyed, he can summon a B.E.S. monster from his deck to take its place.
Lorenzo: Bingo.
Jaden: In that case, I'll place a card face-down and activate the Climax Hour spell card. In three turns, if the card I draw for my normal draw is a monster, I can special summon that monster ignoring any summoning conditions.
Lorenzo: Sorry, but I ain't gonna let ya have three turns.
Jaden: We'll see. I end my turn.
Lorenzo: Not before the effect of my Boss Rush activates. Since you roughed up my Armored Core, I can summon B.E.S. Tetran from my deck.

Lorenzo: And since Tetran is a machine monster, you take 300 points a damage.
A beam of energy shot from his trap, striking Jaden in the chest.
Jaden: 3700 LP
Jaden: It'll take more than that to beat me. After all, thanks to Skyscraper, Burstintrix has 2200 attack points.
Syrus: Oh man, even if Jaden destroys his monsters, he'll just summon another one to take its place.
Michael: Not until the end phase. And Jaden has one advantage.
Hassleberry: What's that?
Bastion: The B.E.S. monsters all have a fatal flaw. They're destroyed after they battle unless they have counters to remove, but since Lorenzo is special summoning them, they won't gain those counters.
Lorenzo: Maybe not, but watch this. It's my turn, and I play da Shield Recovery spell card, and just like that, my Tetran gains three counters.
Three barriers appeared on Tetran, protecting its core.
Lorenzo: And now by removin' one of those counters, I can activate Tetran's special ability, lettin' me destroy one of your spells or traps, so say goodbye to your Skyscraper.
Michael: Without Skyscraper, Burstinatrix doesn't stand a chance against Tetran.
Lorenzo: Now attack Burstinatrix!
Jaden: She may be going down, but she's taking one of your counters with her. Go, Burstfire!
Burstinatrix launched a fireball at Tetran, destroying one of its shields before Tetran slammed her with one of its tendrils, destroying her.
Jaden: 3100 LP
Jaden: I activate the trap Hero Signal! Since one of my monsters was destroyed in battle, I can activate this card and summon a level 4 or lower Elemental Hero from my hand or deck, and the hero I'm pickin' is Bubbleman!

Jaden: And there's more. Since there are no other cards on my field, Bubbleman's special ability lets me draw 2 more cards from my deck.
Lorenzo: You could take 10 cards, but as long as my monster has them shields, I'm golden, so throw down your cards and let's move on, eh?
Jaden: In that case, it's my move. And I summon Elemental Hero Sparkman in attack mode!

Jaden: And next I play my Element Sword equip spell and give it to Sparkman. Now when he battles a monster that's a different attribute than he is, he gains an extra 800 attack points.
Sparkman: 1600-2400 ATK
Jaden: Now Sparkman, attack Tetran!
Sparkman flew towards the ship and slashed the last shield with his sword, destroying it.
Lorenzo: 2500 LP
Jaden: Sorry about this Bubbleman. Attack Tetran!
Lorenzo: Are you kiddin' me or what J man? You're only hurtin' yourself.
Bubbleman launched a blast of water at Tetran's core, destroying it, but he was caught in the explosion, causing him to be destroyed as well.
Jaden: 2100 LP
Lorenzo: You forgot about my spell card, didn't ya?
Hassleberry: His Boss Rush.
Syrus: Now Lorenzo can summon a new monster to the field.
Jaden: I end my turn.
Lorenzo: Which means my Boss Rush kicks in, so welcome my pal B.E.S. Crystal Core!

Lily: And now his trap activates again.
Jaden: 1800 LP
Lorenzo: It's my move. And now I activate Crystal Core's special ability, which means your Sparkman is changed to defense mode. Now Crystal Core, attack!

Bastion: Since his Crystal Core battled without a counter, it's destroyed.

Lily: Wonder what this one does.

Hassleberry: And since Lorenzo's monster will be destroyed, Boss Rush will summon another monster from Lorenzo's deck.
Bastion: And if that happens, Jaden will take 300 points of damage, finishing him off!
Alexis: Jaden!
Grand Mole covered his head with a giant drill and flew towards Big Core, but when he made it in front of it, a vortex appeared, pulling both monsters inside.
Lorenzo: What just happened?
Jaden: You see Lorenzo, when Grand Mole battles, he can return both our monsters to our hands before any damage is dealt.
Bastion: A brilliant move. Since Big Core wasn't destroyed, Boss Rush's effect doesn't activate.
Jaden: I'll place this face-down and let you go.
Lorenzo: My move, and I summon- Wait, thanks to Boss Rush, I can't normal summon!
Jaden: Maybe not, but I can still play my cards, like the trap Hero Call! With this card, I can choose a monster from my deck and put it on top, and I choose Elemental Hero Neos!
Lorenzo: I play one of my face-downs, the trap Left Arm Offering. By sending all the cards in my hand to the graveyard, I can add a spell card from my deck to my hand, and the card I choose is Spell Books from the Pot, so we both draw 3 cards.
Jaden: Alright.
Syrus: Why would Lorenzo do that?
Michael: So that Jaden can't summon Neos using the effect of Climax Hour.
Lorenzo: Next I play da spell Soul Charge! Now I can summon any number of monsters from my graveyard that I want, but then I take 500 points a damage for each paisano I summon. I'm bringing back Crystal Core, Tetran, Big Core, Covered Core, and Big Core MK-2!

Miranda: Master Sartorius won't be pleased.
Lorenzo: You're through Jaden. You can't beat this line up. I go full tilt from the get go.
Jaden: See, that's where you and I are different. You use your best cards at the start, but me? I like to save the best for last. Makes the duel more exciting.
Lorenzo: I don't need your advice. No offense kid, but I've met canollis that are tougher than you.
Jaden: Say what you want, but this duel is the kind of thing I live for.
Lorenzo: What? I've got 5000 life points and a whole army of monsters, and you got nothing. I place two cards face-down and end my turn.
Jaden: Maybe, but one draw can change all that. I draw!
Jaden looked at the card he drew before smiling.
Jaden: And one draw changes everything.
Lorenzo: What could you have drawn that'll get you out of this mess?
Jaden: This. The Wicked Eraser!
Everyone: What?!
Chazz: When did Jaden get that card?!
Michael: That would be my doing.

Jaden: You wanted to see me Michael?
Michael: Yeah, me and Lily have been talking. Take these.
Jaden: The Wicked God cards? Are you sure?
Michael: Yeah. After what almost happened to Alexis, the Wicked Gods told us to they want you to use them.
Jaden: That's so cool.

Lorenzo: Fine, but you still can't summon that guy without a sacrifice.
Jaden: You sure?
A light shone in Jaden's graveyard and his Climax Hour card was ejected from it.
Syrus: That's right! This is the turn Climax Hour kicks in!
Jaden: Yep, which means that I can special summon Eraser from my hand!

Jaden: Go, Dark Flame Wave!
Neos sent a wave of black flames at Lorenzo's field, destroying Boss Rush, Summon Blaster, and Shadow Spell.

Jaden: Next, I play the spell Common Soul, letting me summon Grand Mole to the field and power up Eraser Neos by the same amount as Grand Mole's attack points.

Neos created a ball of black flames before launching it at Covered Core, destroying it.
