Hey, I'm early today! I was on an absolute roll yesterday and wrote most of the chapter in one day so I just had to finish it and BANG! ready way before the deadline! But the comments still got here first, so let's head on over there!:
n1ght4ury20 - No it's not. Nu-uh. Definitely not.
JesterGlytch - It's gonna be her little den of chaos that is deceptively small from the outside but inside is like an entire factory or something and the pile is like a 1 by 1 Rust starting shack in size.
bastidaswilliam2005 - I have no intention of stopping anytime soon! And I'm glad you like it! I decided to be a bit original with smut and try to make it more believable instead of Midoriya having a 12inch bitch-breaker of a dick that has the throughput of a garden hose on steroids and the balls with a capacity of a water reservoir to drown everything with- you get the idea.
NoUsernameAvailable0 - I swear you people are doing this on purpose... It's not like I mind, thanks to you I can keep this gig going!
RamblinTurtle - Movie was crazy, but the ending kinda stupid in my opinion. Like, really? You gonn' defend them after barely escaping with yo life? Thanks for the support!
AzrelRazgriz - I already have like a full-blown in-depth RPG system fic that I'll eventually return to, so the most I'm going to do is give them different weapons like Midoriya got the spear and now Momo Yaoyorozu has a gun, which I've found out last week was not tagged before on Ao3! I made a tag on Ao3!
Guest - ;)
solbandgus - I'm honestly curious what game you are thinking off because the first think that comes to my mind is AC:Odyssey and I know it's not that one lol
I honestly love reading comments and starting discussion. But enough talking, it's time for reading!:
"Is this weather always so troublesome to deal with?!" Momo exclaimed in annoyance as the blizzard around them intensified for what felt like the nth time.
"Usually!" Izuku yelled back to get his message across even with the cold wind blowing jagged lines across the snow.
"That's it, you're not leaving the cave until it calms down!" The raven-haired woman stated and Izuku couldn't stop himself from grinning in amusement.
It seemed that her sanity was being depleted at a steady rate by all the shenanigans happening around them on a daily basis. He hoped they could figure out a way out of here or at least get some peaceful days to get their acts together. He doubted something so convenient would happen, but there was literally no way of knowing that. Maybe if they prayed to the Omnissiah enough he would grant them some more favors?
"How do you even cope with this cold?!" Momo yelled out with even more annoyance in her voice.
"When the frostbite starts setting in you actually start feeling very warm so it's not that bad!" Izuku answered with an attempt at joking to bring his companions spirits up at least somewhat.
She seemed to huff and shake her head in amusement so he figured it must've worked and that's all that mattered to him.
They've been traveling along their safety river for about an hour already and not much changed during that time. The trees were still bare, the ground covered by a thick sheet of snow and the you know what wind was still blowing you know what across the aforementioned snow.
It didn't deter any of them however, because Izuku's previous adventure showed that the change will come suddenly and when they least expect it. One thing they learned already though, was that their little piece of land was not that little. Ever since they left the cave they were trapped between the river on their left and the cliffs a couple of ways away to the right, forming a corridor that was still technically a part of their supposedly safe domain. There was a chance that they walked past a cave entrance that could house a whole slew of not-so-extinct predators that would love nothing more than to make an afternoon snack out of them.
Still, Izuku simply hoped that most of the dangerous animals decided to hibernate or something or even venture towards more hospitable hunting grounds. Whatever the case, he put his entire focus on their journey and continued trudging through the nearly knee-high snow.
The only thing happening for the next hour or so was the intensity of the blizzard changing from barely survivable to barely noticeable at random. The sudden absence of wind made them trip a couple of times, but was otherwise a welcome respite. It was during one of those moments of calmness that they noticed the cliffs on the right inching closer to the river with every step they took.
Eventually they reached the end of their lands as the river split once again and continued mostly flowing straight whilst the rest of the water took a sharp turn to the right and flowed into a cave, cutting them off.
As they were wondering what to do the wind started picking back up and throwing snow into their eyes so they wordlessly decided to head into the cave to at least hide from the blizzard.
Finally being able to shelter themselves from the elements outside was a very welcome change, one that the duo spent enjoying a long while before continuing with their exploration.
The cave turned out to be an entrance into a vast-looking cave system that they could easily get lost in, so they decided to not risk that just yet and went to look for an exit that could let them cross into the yet unexplored territory on the other side of the river. They could've just swam across as the current wasn't nearly as strong, but neither of them wanted to get all wet with how cold it was. This was just a bad idea through and through. Thankfully they managed to find a shallow spot where they could cross. There was just one problem - they couldn't go back upstream as there was no path along the water, so they had to venture deeper into the cave. It was fairly well lit up by the crystals they were already used to seeing, although those ones had different colors from the ones in their home.
They walked for a minute or five before they reached what looked to be the main cavern of the cave system they entered. It was absolutely enormous and the worst part was that they were at the very top of it so they could clearly see just how deep it went. It wasn't exactly a pitch black pit that would command fear in anyone that stared into it for too long, but it would no doubt give one hell of a scare to someone afraid of heights.
Something they noticed after they got over their initial shock was the booming sound of a waterfall, or waterfalls rather. They scanned the cavern from left to right and noted at least fifteen openings which supplied water to the giant underground lake below. They could only guess how many more of those were currently out of their sight or how much water exactly flowed into this massive reservoir every minute.
They marveled at the sheer majesty emanating from this natural wonder before deciding to continue their journey. Thankfully they managed to find another, even smaller stream that flowed into the cavern, one that they could easily follow without having to risk getting wet.
Another couple of minutes passed before the crystals started becoming more and more rare before they finally gave way to the natural light of the twin suns outside.
Momo and Izuku exited the cave and just stood there in awe for a moment or two as they couldn't believe what they were seeing.
"We made it…" They breathed out with relief clear in their voices. Then they looked at each other and smiled in excitement. "We made it!" The duo exclaimed in unison and hugged each other excitedly before uniting in a deep kiss for a few heartbeats.
The environment around them was shockingly different from the one they left when they entered the caves a couple of minutes ago, but they couldn't even see a speck of snow anywhere right now! It was weird no doubt, but it would also make their survival way easier in terms of finding food in case they run out.
After they concluded their celebratory kiss they looked up into the cloudless sky and noted that the twin suns had yet to reach their apex which gave them ample time for some further exploration. A chance they decided to use to the fullest.
"Do you want to take a look around and see if we maybe find something interesting?" Momo was the one to propose the idea that they both had in mind.
"Sure, I could use a longer break from that freezing weather anyway." Izuku joked and they shared a quick chuckle. "We should probably shed some of our clothes though. I for one don't want to boil alive right before heading into the blizzard." He pointed out and Momo agreed.
"Me neither. Would you be so kind and help me out of my suit then?" She asked innocently, but Izuku knew better than to take her words at face value.
"I swear you're getting better and better at this whole flirting thing." He stated with an amused smile.
Momo didn't try to defend herself and instead decided to bask in the praise she received.
They shed the makeshift jackets that offered the most protection from the cold, but had to leave their pants on since walking around in just their underwear whilst very tempting would also prove to be immensely distracting. Especially if Momo decided that she wanted to be even more distracting than usual.
The clothes were stashed right next to the entrance to the cave system and with that they were ready to venture deeper into this uncharted territory.
Nearly everything they saw looked akin to what they were used to seeing before the blizzard devastated their safe lands, although there were some differences.
The trees for one weren't growing as close to each other as the ones in their jungle and were generally taller without many vines hanging off of them. This could've been a sign that they really crossed into a vastly different biome from the one they spent all of their time in so far.
What Izuku found on his journey to the second crash site a couple of days ago was basically the same as what they had in their domain, so there was a possibility that there were other regions with even more distinct ecosystems somewhere out there that they simply didn't stumble upon just yet. This is also proof that the blizzard that was haunting them for quite some time now was tied to a specific area. There was still the question of how it was so perfectly contained and what caused it to appear, but the duo doubted they would find an answer to either of these questions and would probably have to resort to calling it bullshit and leaving it at that.
Complaining about the nature of this unnamed land aside, Momo and Izuku ventured into the unknown, although they made sure to always keep the cliffs in sight so as not to get lost during their search. The river they followed to get here in the first place followed the cliffs for a bit before splitting off and vanishing into the woods. They managed to get a closer look at it and noted something quite groundbreaking - fish.
Actually, that was the biggest surprise this area had in store - its fauna. Don't get me wrong, bigger trees, less dense vegetation, berries in colors that they never saw before - which may or may not be soap in disguise - and generally different flora was interesting, but the presence of critters and animals that didn't want them for dinner was way more surprising. Especially since even Izuku during his six months of being a solo operative didn't see even a spider or a snail, not even those damn mosquitos! And while the lack of flies was quite welcome there was something unnatural about the total lack of those tiny creepy crawlies. There were some fish in their safety river, but they probably left for warmer waters, which very well might be right here. Regardless, the abundance of fish in these parts offered another source of food they could access if the need arose.
Honestly, between the abundance of food and the hospitable climate this seemed like a very nice place to set up a temporary camp or even relocate right here out right! The only problem with that was that they'd have to travel very long distances to reach the weekly supply drops and as all of them were already aware - not caring about those was not an option. Izuku was able to fend for himself for half a year and even though all of their classmates were more than able to protect themselves, surviving in this strange land wasn't something they trained for. Besides, if the current trend continues then the next person to appear might also be a girl and leaving a damsel in distress was something that Inko Midoriya ingrained into her son's mind as the most serious of offenses.
Still, even if moving here was not an option they could still build something like a hunting cabin here which would allow them to gather food for a day or two before heading back home so that they didn't have to waste so much time traveling back and forth. Momo could probably figure out how to build a boat or at least a raft with that big brain of hers, but that's looking a bit too far into the future. For now they simply continued to be on the lookout for anything else out of the ordinary.
They concluded their search when they noticed that the twin suns began the second half of their daily journey and decided that it was a good time to start heading back. After all they might end up having to battle the blizzard all the way to their shelter and that would certainly lengthen the amount of time needed to make it home.
They returned to the cave that led them here and put on their respective jackets after teasing each other for a few moments with 'accidental' brushes and whatnot and went underground to return to their part of the forest.
Once they reached the shallow part of the stream they crossed earlier in the day they paused for a moment and wondered how deep would the river need to be to deter the predators from crossing it. Would a stream like this suffice or would they essentially need a moat? Was it even the depth of it that acted as a deterrent or was there just something about the water that prevented the animals from swimming across while at the same time not being harmful to humans? Momo was honestly tempted to start gathering samples of anything and everything they find just so that she could find answers to all the questions that were swirling in her head once they got back to Japan.
The oh-so-familiar blizzard was already waiting for them when they exited the cave system but instead of a warm welcome it gave them the cold shoulder. And cold feet. And hands. Noses, ears, legs, everything basically. At least Momo's nipples were behaving or the journey back would be even more uncomfortable than it already was.
As if the weather decided to take pity on them, the blizzard seemed more tame than it was in the morning and while it still suddenly vanished only to appear a couple minutes later, the overall extremes weren't as extreme as previously so the way back went a bit smoother than they expected.
Soon they started noticing some familiar landmarks like the giant tree that rivaled the cliffs in terms of height or the bamboo grove which already started regrowing despite the horrendous weather though at a much slower rate than usual.
They made it back home just as the first hints of red started poking through the clouds, a sign that the twin suns would soon vanish beneath the horizon. Both Izuku and Momo expected Mina and Tooru to be either goofing off around their fireplace or relaxing in the bath, but that wasn't the case. In fact, neither of the girls were waiting for them or even expecting them to be back already as they were currently… busy… with each other.
As soon as they stepped into their commoncave, Izuku and Momo saw a blushing Mina pinning an equally flush-faced Tooru to the ground by the shoulders whilst the latter had her arms on Mina's waist. The sight was enough for the two explorers to freeze in place but not before Izuku stepped on - and snapped in half - a very conveniently placed stick. This alarmed the two girls that they were no longer alone in the cave and their eyes immediately snapped in the direction of the entrance. They looked like a pair of deers staring down the headlights of a fully loaded eighteen wheeler that showed no signs of stopping. A few beats of uncomfortable silence passed before Izuku and Momo took a couple of steps back to hide behind the corner and get out of their friends' sight. A couple of seconds later they heard some panicked shuffling. They waited for the sounds to die down first before they reentered the room.
The girls were now sitting on two different logs with faces red like tomatoes. Mina got up as soon as she saw them and immediately tried to defend herself.
"I swear it's not what it looked like!" She pleaded alone as Tooru was way too embarrassed to do anything except squirming in place and begging her face to cool down as fast as it could.
Momo and Izuku shared an unimpressed look, but decided to give the girls a chance to explain themselves properly before jumping to conclusions, which was a bit hard to do since Izuku had to admit it was one of the most erotic sights he witnessed in his life and his imagination was way too occupied with supplying more images of what might've happened had they not intruded to even consider that there really might be a good explanation to this compromising position they witnessed first hand.
"Oh, you were playing Twister?" Izuku realized, trying desperately to not sound disappointed.
"Y-Yeah! That's all it was I swear!" Tooru confirmed vigorously, her face still flushed.
"Where did you even find it?" Momo questioned to which Mina only pointed to their sentient pile of stuff in the corner. "Fair."
"I'm not convinced…" The sole male in the cave said suddenly. "You looked pretty invested in the moment when we walked in." He noted and pointed a finger at the pink-skinned woman in an accusing manner.
"Can you blame me though?" Mina retorted immediately and then grabbed Tooru, who was sitting with her back to the group to hide her embarrassment, and forced her to face them. "Look at her. She is absolutely gorgeous! It caught me off-guard!"
"Stop it!" The girl in question protested as her face flushed into an even more intense shade of red once again.
"What you are saying is true, but I have to side with Izuku on this one. You seemed very absorbed in the moment, even if Tooru is in fact absolutely gorgeous." Momo joined in, further deepening Tooru's embarrassment.
"Stahp it!" She whined while trying to get out of her friend's embrace.
"My point exactly." Izuku came in for the finish. "Tooru is very beautiful and cute and her entire joyful persona only makes her even more cute, but are you sure that was the only thing going on at that moment?"
"You guys are mean…" Tooru whined as she resigned herself to her fate. Although if questioned she'd have to admit that being complimented for her looks while nice in and of itself meant to her much more than anyone else might suspect what with her being invisible her entire life and whatnot.
"Huh, why?" The trio asked in sync, completely oblivious to the amount of embarrassment that they've bombarded their not-so-invisible-anymore classmate.
When Tooru realized they were completely serious about their compliments and weren't just trying to embarrass her for the fun of it, she suddenly felt the urge to kiss all of them, like a full-on makeout session. It would probably be quite the worrying thought if she was in her right state of mind, but she didn't really care. She was happy and that's all that mattered for now.
After they concluded the debate about the lesbian nature of playing twister, Momo and Izuku then went on to explain what they'd discovered on their adventure. Needless to say there were some very energetic responses to certain findings. The biggest shock was probably the fact that there indeed was some sort of a barrier around them that kept the blizzard contained.
"Hey, doesn't the trope of a valley being surrounded by a barrier sound familiar?" Mina suddenly spoke up, catching the attention of the others.
"Sounds gothic." Momo perked up.
"Why though?" The others wondered.
"It's a meme from the pre-Quirk era that we are too far into the future to understand." She explained cryptically which cleared up nothing so they decided to drop the subject.
"Well, at least we now know where to look for food if our supplies run out. Do you reckon we should go explore something else?" Mina proposed.
"There's no way I'm going out any time soon." Momo protested. "I'm so chilled that I'm pretty sure even my bones are shivering."
"Yikes. That really doesn't sound very good. In that case we should probably stay put, right? We need Midori operational before the next drop anyway so having him catch a cold would really suck."
Yeah, it really would suck, wouldn't it?
At first I was like - okay, Mina and Tooru all alone, time to turn all that straightness into a curve, but then decided to turn it into a joke cause we already had smut in the last chapter and this is a Porn with Plot fic after all.
Also, another reference in this chapter. And no it's not the MGR:R one. It's honestly another running gig at this point lol. Now all I have to do is make them travel to a desert for something and have one of them suddenly start singing the original lyrics!
Anyways that's all I have for you today! Have a great day and I'll catch all of you next Friday!
