As the Jeep passed the Stars Hollow sign Luke asked, "Where are we going?"

"I need to go home and change out of this dress," Rory sighed, "the anxiety of wearing a white dress and not staining it was killing me."

"Yeah, I would LOVE to get out of this tux," Dean agreed.

"Okay. So I'll drop Dean off at home, then we'll go to your place. My truck is there anyway," Luke smiled at Lorelai.

When they pulled into the driveway, Rory jumped out of the car. "Thanks again Luke," she called as she ran in.

Lorelai got out of the car holding her shoes and Luke followed her up to the door.

"Well I guess this is it," Luke said holding the keys to her car out.

When she tried to take the keys from him, he closed his fingers around hers. She looked up into his eyes. "I don't want to leave," Luke admitted.

"I don't want you to go," she answered.

He took a few steps back, with her hand still in his and he sat on the porch swing. She joined him, dropping her shoes and keys on the ground.

"So, dinner at your parents' house."

Lorelai laughed and shook her head, "You don't have to go, I'll make an excuse."

"I'll have to go at some point, might as well get it out of the way."

"What do you mean?"

"Lorelai, this thing we're doing here - me, you - I want you to know I'm in. I am all in." He pauses for a moment studying her face, "Does that, uh - are you, uh, scared?"

Lorelai was staring at her hands and then turned to look him in the eyes, his love and sincerity written all over his face.

"What's scary is how strong the feelings are. Yesterday you were my friend and now -"

Tears were spilling from her eyes and he instinctively cupped her cheek to catch them.

"Now, what?"

"Now I hate the idea of you going to your own place. I want you to stay here, come upstairs, make love to me and never leave." She was speaking softer than he ever heard her.

"Never leave?" He asked in a teasing tone.

"Well you can go to work, I need my Luke's Diner food and coffee," she shifted closer to him on the seat and touched his shirt. "I'll miss this look and dancing with you, but I guess it's not the right vibe for the Diner."

Luke covered her hand with his own, "I'll dance with you whenever you want."

"So in the middle of the Diner when you're really busy?"

He laughed

"In the middle of a Town Meeting?"

"Only if it annoys Taylor," he smirked.

"What about right now?"

He stood up and pulled her with him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close. Without music they both began to sway, she rested her head on his shoulder with her nose nuzzled against his neck.

"You smell so good," she mumbled.

He held her tighter, "You feel incredible." Slowly running his hand up and down her back. He tried to shift his body so she couldn't feel his erection. But by the way she swayed her hips across his, he could tell she knew what she was doing to him.

"Lorelai," he breathed softly.

"Come upstairs with me."

"Rory's in there."

"Not in my room"

"Are you sure about this?"

"I need help with my zipper."

Luke shifted her in his arms so he could look her in the eyes, "Are you really sure you want to do this in your house?"

"Give me one second, don't you dare leave." She grabbed her shoes and keys and went inside.

She sprinted to Rory's door grabbing a glance at the clock. It was only ten so she was sure her kid was still awake. She knocked gently and pushed the door opened.

"Hey, Mom. Is Luke gone?" Rory smiled. She was in bed reading a book. "I'm so tired, I can't believe it's only ten. Dean called, but I could barely talk. Who knew this night would be so exhausting."

"It's not easy being a princess," Lorelai teased. "I need to check something with you."

"What's up?" Rory sat up.

"Luke is still here. We were talking on the porch -"

"I know, my window was open."

Lorelai went red, "Really?"

"Mom, you guys sound so much in love. I didn't mean to start eavesdropping, but when my call ended I heard your voices. I'm totally fine with him staying the night, if that's what you want to check with me. Seriously, I'll likely be asleep soon, and I'll listen to my Walkman until I am asleep."

Lorelai smiled, "You're sweet. I've just never had a guy here before."

"Luke isn't just 'a guy', he's Luke. Really Mom, it's okay."

"Do you really think he could be The One?" Lorelai asked

"Of course," Rory said enthusiastically. "Don't you?"

Lorelai bit her bottom lip and looked like she might cry, "I do. It's kind of scary, I really don't want to mess this up. I love him."

"He loves you too. And I won't let you mess this up! I want it too."

Lorelai kissed Rory's head and headed for the door, "Thanks kid."

"Good night"

Lorelai went back to the porch to find Luke asleep on the swing. He was sitting with his arm draped along the back of the swing and his head hanging forward. She approached him quietly and leaned close to his face. She kissed one cheek and caressed his other, finally touching the soft face she'd been admiring all night.

Luke hummed with pleasure, turning his face slightly to meet his lips to hers. Their first kiss was soft and cautious. She pulled back just enough to speak but close enough that her breath tickled his face, "I talked to Rory. Please come inside with me. I need more than this kiss."

Happily, Luke took Lorelai's outstretched hand and let her lead him through the quiet house and up the staircase. He loved watching her body move in that dress. Once in the bedroom, Lorelai only turned on her bedside lamp and not the main light. She then turned to face Luke and looked shy.

"I've never seen you so shy and quiet," Luke said as he placed his hands on her arms and slowly ran them up and down.

"I can't take it anymore," she finally huffed, stepped forward and kissed him. Her hands were on his face gently rubbing his cheeks marvelling at the close shave he did and how his skin felt like silk. She slid her hands to his shoulders as he deepened their kiss, sucking on his tongue gently while slipping his tuxedo jacket off. She moaned into his mouth as she let her hands roam over his back, chest and arms. She never thought that a man's muscles would matter to her, but she was incredibly turned on by how strong he seemed with his body that resembled that of a Greek God.

Luke didn't want to break the kiss but was getting light headed and needed air. Reluctantly his lips left hers and both of them gasped for air. He kissed down her face to her jaw and then began kissing and sucking on her neck.

Her head fell back, but her hands were busy unbuttoning his shirt.

His hands started on her waist, slid to squeeze her ass and then moved up her back searching for the zipper on her dress.

When he had the zipper in his fingers he backed up and looked her in the eyes. "Anytime you want me to stop, just say so."

"Same to you," she smiled.

"Oh Lorelai, I promise you I already want to do this a second time and we haven't really started our first."
"Well then, let's get moving."

In the wee hours of the morning Lorelai lay tangled in Luke arms, the comforter only covering them from the waist down. She could hear the steady rhythm of his heart as she used his chest as her pillow. By the way he was breathing she was sure he was asleep so she decided to get over one of her biggest fears. She closed her eyes and into the quiet room whispered, "I love you, Luke."
His arms tightened around her and in the huskiest, sexiest voice he said, "I love you, Lorelai."
