Letting Go..
Max POV
"Max!" I heard Sebastain shout from downstairs. I sighed and fixed my glassed so they were blanced on my nose. I shut my Naruto comic and stood up. I padded down the hallway to see what my cousin wanted.
"Yes?" I asked him. And then I seen the hammer he was holding. "Seb... Why've you got that hammer?" I asked.
He gave me a cruel smile and then raised it above his head. I screamed and ran, tripping on the carpet. "Come and play Max." He laughed.
I crawled behind a chair and whimpered, "No... Please don't hurt me." Why was he doing this to me? What had I done to deserve, this?
He laughed, "Hurt? This should tickle!" He slammed the hammer into my left leg, and I howled in pain. "See! Your laughing!" Sebastain yelled.
"N-no! Please stop!" I cried.
Sebastain slammed the hammer down again and I felt something go into my skin. He slammed it down once more and then I heard a sickening snap.
Sebastain laughed, and yanked that leg, dragging me out of my hiding place. He inserted a drug into my arm and then started hitting my face. I screamed for my mother, praying she could get this lunatic off me.
Sebastain stopped hitting me and dragged me on to the street after a while. There he dumped me.

I don't know how long I lay there, bleeding and in complete agony.

The next time I awoke, my mother had her arms around me, and father was drawing a rune on my leg. Izzy was crying and hugging Alec. I just felt so.. weak.
"Mom?" I croaked.
"Shh..." She crooned. "It's alright. It won't hurt for much longer." She promised.
Isabelle screamed Jace's name and I seen my older brother and Clary coming over. Jace went to his knees before me, looking broken. "Max.. I'm so, so sorry." He whispered.
Everything went a grey colour, "Jace, I'm scared." I whispered, "Save me." I begged.
"I can't Max. You'll be in a better place, I promise. I swear on the angel. They'll have comic books and manga there." Jace said and pulled me into his arms. He was crying.
"I'm so... scared." I whispered, closing my eyes for the final time.
"No Max!" Jace screamed, "Don't you dare! Don't you... dare." I could no longer feel anything and my body just seemed to go limp.
Max Lightwood. Said a kind voice. Do not be afraid. It was Raziel. He had come to take me away.
