Chapter 1: Joining Beacon.

Rain was pouring down, a single building towering in the middle of the city and the battle of two twins; a battle of ideals, of ego to prove who's stronger but only one shall stand tall in the end and a girl screaming.
"DANTE!"
Two years before.
In the middle of an alley, a wite haired man with icy blue eyes, brown leather pants with black leather boots, a red long jacket and nothing else, two mausers with smoke in the barrels, four human bodies, blood on the walls and on the floor, same color as the jacket of the man and sand, lots of sand.
"Are you Tony Redgrave?" a voice from behind the white haired man broke the silence.
"Who asks?" Says Tony turning around.
He sees what he would describe as a fancy gentleman, a white haired man with a dark green suit and glasses, a cane in his right hand and a cup of coffee in his left hand. He is walking towards Tony, he doesn't seem to have an aggressive stance.
"Your handiwork?" The gentleman looks at the human bodies.
"So what if it is?" Tony crosses his arms, still having the guns on his hands.
"Well, i don't see a blade on you" he says while taking a sip of his cup.
"Why don't you skip 'till the end and tell me what you want" Tony says annoyed.
The gentleman chuckles, walking closer to Tony, still with no aggressiveness in his body, Tony cannot get a read on this guy yet, but he knows he doesn't want a piece of him, or so he thinks. Tony relaxes his arms a little bit, lowering his guns but still on guard in case he needs to shoot.
"My name is Ozpin, i'm the headmaster of Beacon academy and i'm here to offer you a…" he makes a small pause "...small job"
"So, the headmaster of the prestigious Beacon academy seeks the mercenary in red" Tony chuckles to then look at Ozpin with a serious look "What are you really after? this is no small job, lay all the cards on the table or i'm out"
"Quite perceptive i must say, but you are right" Ozpin takes a sip of his cup "I want you to be a student on my academy but not only that, i need your help not only hunting what you are hunting but also what you hunt"
Tony keeps staring at Ozpin, this guy isn't normal, he could feel it, especially that he mentions what he is hunting, he knows more than he lets on, but he'll humor him for now, he needs to know more of what Ozpin knows.
"So, what am I hunting?" Tony smirks
"Creatures of legends, myths, the boogeyman that parents use to scare children. creatures who's never been seen for a long time or so we believed" The expression changes on both of them to a more serious one "I thought that what we sent those four were merely grims, how wrong we were"
"Maybe you were wrong" Tony chuckles drily "So, you want me to hunt what i just killed"
"Indeed, i want you to hunt demons Mr Redgrave" Ozpin finally says it making Tony smirk even wider "I already informed your guardian, Miss Goldstein of our offer"
"But who said that I'm going to take the job?" Tony raises his right arm aiming at Ozpin.
Tony pulls the trigger multiple times, Ozpin didn't blink as the bullets passed his head, five bullets in total, he then turns around to see a creature with gray skin that looks rotten, a scythe and black robes being sent back thanks to the bullets to then turn into sand.
"Sorry, I missed one " Tony smirks again "It's an interesting offer Oz, but I work well with others"
"Then make me offer you something more" Ozpin chuckles "We'll pay your debt, all of them, and all the pizzas you order will be paid by the academy, same with the strawberry sundays, you'll have a room only to yourself in the academy and you'll do your hunts at night time, no one will bother you and of course, you'll get paid"
The sound of getting his debt paid, all the pizza and strawberry sunday he can eat for free puts a lot of weight into this offer. Tony cursed internally because this guy did his homework on him, knowing that he is keeping more secrets to himself…but whatever, he'll humor him for now.
"Alright Oz, when do I start?" Tony lowers his arm and holsters his guns.
"In two days we'll have the new students, you'll start with them" Ozpin starts leaving the alley "I'll explain more things later in my office"
Tony soon finds himself alone in the alley, he looks into the dark sky of the night and starts chuckling to himself, then he gets his guns again and lowers his sight, to find himself surrounded by more demons; Tony starts shooting at the demons that are surrounding him, avoiding every single attack from their scythes, making a dance of bullets and blood until the demons were killed.
two days later.
Tony arrives in his bike at beacon academy, he sees a lot of people getting in, he gets off his bike, he'll come back for it later and he starts scouting what would probably be his new classmates, he sees a blonde guy, wearing jeans and a hoodie with short sleeves, with what appears to be armor pieces over it, he is puking on a trashcan; he then sees two girls, one of them is wearing a black dress with black combat boots, she's also wearing black thick stockings, aside from everything she has a red cape/hood, her hair is black and short with some red on it.
The other girl, who seems a bit older, but not by much is wearing a brown jacket half closed, the jacket is not long enough to show her belly, a yellow top that, ehem, shows her beauty, black, she is wearing black shorts and what he thinks is a half skirt that goes from hip to hip, knee boots and what appears like an orange high knee sock in her left leg, she has long blond hair, oh and a orange scarf.
He cannot hear what they are saying but he can take a guess, little red hood doesn't want to be left alone until she is, poor girl and to add to her bad luck she falls over some luggage of a girl who's wearing a white dress with a white jacket, the inside appears to be red, she is wearing a also boots, or high heels boots? Whatever, he is not that big on fashion unless it is his clothing. She has a white long hair, tied in a side ponytail. She starts screaming at little red hood, spraying red dust around until red hood sneezes creating an explosion, he couldn't avoid starting to start laughing, even more now that the screaming gets louder.
He keeps his distance at first to see then a Girl in black vest, white sleeveless top, white shorts with purple stockings, her left arm has a black sleeve with a silver armband, appears of steel, has black long hair and a bow, To has a funny feeling about this one, but he sees that one approaches the other two. he decides to ignore them and keeps walking, not his problem anyway, the ceremony is starting soon.
He arrives in a big room and walks his way into the middle, he soon finds himself standing to the side of a little red hood and the blonde girl.
"How's your first day going little sister?" Asked the blonde girl.
So these girls are sisters, who could have thought they look nothing alike, one's blond, other has black hair, even their eyes are different, blondie has lilac eyes and red hood has silver, how fun Tony thought.
"You mean after you ditch me and I explode!?" Little red had a stern look on her face.
"Yikes! meltdown already?" Said the blond girl.
"No, I literally exploded a hole in front of the school! There was some fire and I think some ice" little red hood stuttered a little.
"Are you being sarcastic?" Blondie asked with disbelief
Red hood scuffed "I wish. i tripped over some crabby girl's luggage, then she yelled at me and then i sneezed, then i exploded then she yelled at me again and i feel really, really bad!"
Tony couldn't avoid laughing unders his breath till he heard a familiar voice.
"You!" Little red hood recognized the voice.
"Oh God! It's happening again!" Little red hood screamed as she jumped into blondie's arms
"You are lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff!" The princess in white yelled.
"Oh my god, you really exploded" Blondie says now believing the story.
"It was an accident!" Little Red Hood got off his sister's arms while repeating the same "It was an accident!"
The princess in white takes a pamphlet and puts it on the little red hood's face and Tony feels a headache coming his way.
"What's this?" Asks the little red hood confused.
"The Schnee company is not responsible for any injuries or dama…" The princess in white continued and Tony started feeling the headache.
"Will you mind, if, I don't know, shut up, after all, it was your fault that you started waving the flask around little princess and made her sneeze" Tony said in a cooky and annoyed voice making the three girls look at Tony, the tall, clad in red man, they couldn't admit it right now but he was rather handsome in their eyes, well, at least in the eyes of the princess and blondie.
"Why you..:!" The princess grunts that this guy interrupted her.
"Whatever, just keep it down, don't want the headache to continue" He smirks at the princess
"Okay, we're starting with the wrong foot over here" Blondie starts trying to defuse the situation with a drop of sweat in her head.
"My sister is right, why don't we start over again?" Little red hood clears her throat "Hello Weiss! I'm Ruby! Wanna hang out? We could go shopping for school supplies"
Tony noticed the nervous tone in Ruby and knowing the princess, she'll be sarcastic about it.
"Yeah! and we could paint our nails, try on clothes and talk about cute boys like…" Weiss looked at Tony but didn't say anything, looking behind instead, looking at the blonde guy from earlier and pointing at him "...tall, blonde and scraggy over there"
"Oh wow, really?" Ruby was excited.
"No" Weiss said coldly, shattering Ruby excitedness
"Talk about a cold Snow white" Tony smirked while talking to himself.
"Ugh…what about you, what's your name?" Ruby asks Tony his name.
"Yeah, how should I call you handsome?" Blondie says flirting with Tony.
"Name's Tony, Tony Redgrave, yours my ladies?" Tony answers expecting the same courtesy.
"Oh, I'm Ruby Rose, nice to meet you…" Ruby was still nervous about all of this.
"And I'm Yang Xiao Long" Yang winks at Tony "I'm the older sister of Ruby"
"I see, nice to meet ya" Tony nods his head, ignoring Yang flirtiness for now "But we better keep our mouth shut, the ceremony should be starting now"
In the stage, they could see Ozpin walking to the middle, towards the podium. Ozpin tapped the mic, testing it then he clears his throat catching everybody's attention.
"I'll...keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge-to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose – direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step." Ozpin now finished steps aside.
The blond lady to his side takes the stand "You will gather in the ballroom tonight, tomorrow your initiation begins. Be ready, you are dismissed"
"He seemed kind of…off" Yang commented.
"It's almost like he wasn't even there" Ruby added.
"Cut the guy some slack girls, it is the beginning of the year and Oz is the headmaster, Pretty sure he doesn't have a lot of time" Tony says looking into a different point of view.
"I'm sure it wasn't a hologram and thank you for looking into it differently Mr Redgrave" a voice came behind them.
"Professor Ozpin! It's a pleasure to meet you" Weiss greeted the headmaster, nervous and shocked to see him there
"Hello Ozpin!" Ruby also greeted the Headmaster with a smile on her face.
"Hello Ruby, it's nice to see you again" Ozpin greeted Ruby to then turn to Tony.
"Looking for me Oz?" Tony said.
"Why yes, i came to tell you that you will also join them in the ballroom later, dorms are off limits as for now but first, there are two things in order" Ozpin takes from his suit a scroll and hand it over to Tony "You'll need this Scroll, here you'll get your assignments and talking about them…"
"Found a party already for me? Sweet!" Dante grins excited
"Indeed, make sure to contact us when you are done Mr Redgrave" Ozpin turns around and leaves the group alone
Weiss looks at Tony, who was grinning, looking into the scroll, looking for his assignment.
"And who are you? Why are you getting assignments already when you are a first year?" Weiss points at Tony, looking for answers.
"The name is Tony Redgrave and it's oh so nice to meet you princess" Tony mocks at Weiss "And for the assignment, well, let's say that I'm going to crash a lot of parties, all the rest is classified"
"Excuse me, it's heiress, I am Weiss Schnee and I will inherit…" Weis started talking, prideful.
"I honestly don't care" Tony shrugs and starts walking off leaving the three behind and doing a two finger salute "It's time for me too get going, see you around babes"
Tony gets out of the academy, it was dusk so Tony got on his bike, driving away to the place of his assignment. Tony avoided the traffic, driving rather recklessly, he was excited, there was nothing that he loved more than killing demons. After a bit he arrived at some warehouses, he could feel the demonic energy in the air so he got off his bike, taking from the luggage a sword, more like a claymore and went inside the warehouse.
The place was in complete darkness, except for the few rays of sun that was still up, he could see a couple of bodies, workers maybe or thieves? doesn't matter, they are dead anyway, he felt regret that it was too late.
"So, this is the place, I can already tell that this is going to be one hell of a party!" Tony yells excitedly.
From the shadows appear the demons that he faced no long ago, the hell prides, six in total so he takes his mousers out, walking towards the middle, he grins and starts shooting to the one that is closest to him, five bullets that send him back, then he aims to the one of his left and the one of his right, one gun for each and starts shooting, then to the one behind him and the one in front; Tony Keeps the Twosome time going until he runs out of bullets, drops the empty magazines, then he throws the guns into the air, far above him, he unsheathed his sword and launches himself with a stringer to the demon in front of him turning it into sand.
Tony was in his element now, he rushes to the next one, slashing it with a downcut, another one down, then go next to the next one, doing a downward slash that's blocked by the demon, then does an diagonal upwards slash breaking the demon guard to finish it of with another diagonal slash, three down. Tony then throws his sword against the demon that's the furthest of him, the demon gets stabbed and goes flying getting pinned to the wall, then Tony start running, taking two magazines from his belt, and puts them in his guns that are falling to then grab both of them, putting them back in their hostlers.
A demon gets in front of Tony, trying to cut him with his scythe, Tony slides under it to then kick it on the back with a powerful kick that sends it flying while continue running towards the demon that is pinned against the wall, as he reaches it, he grabs the sword, he slashes the demon to sand cutting the wall in the process too and also getting his sword untucked; Another stringer comes, closing the distance, killing another demon leaving the last one still standing who tries to slash him from behind but Tony blocks the attack with his sword, not even looking at him, then he does and upward slash sending both of them into the air to then finish the last demon with the helm breaker,
"Not much of a challenge but this was fun" Says Tony while getting his scroll out, calling Ozping.
"Hello Mr Redgrave, i assume that the job has been completed" Tony hears Ozpin on the other side of the scroll.
"Yeah, six Hell prides, nothing big really, good workout tho, there are a couple of bodies in the wherehouse, might want to send someone over to clean the place" Dante chuckles.
"I see, i'll notify the police about it" Ozpin tone was serious "Well, you should comeback, i'll have Goodwitch waiting for you at the entrance"
"Sure thing Ozzy, Tony out" Tony hangs up, sheathing his sword walking off the wherehouse.
While on his way to the academy he finds weird that the Hell prides have been mostly alone, they are the weakest of the Hells, normally they have a leader, a stronger demon to command them but in the last two encounters they have been alone…But doesn't matter for now, so he shrugged the thought of his head, he needs some shut eye.
When he arrives at the academy, he sees a blond woman wearing glasses, wearing a white long sleeved neckline top, a black high waisted skirt with bronze buttons and stockings. a cape that is stylized to end in flames, the inside is purple, while the outside is black, this must be Goodwitch.
"Are you Tony Redgrave?" Ask the woman with a serious tone.
"That's right lady" Tony confirms the woman's question with a smirk
"I am Glynda Goodwitch, Professor of this academy" She makes a pause adjusting her glasses "I've been informed by professor Ozpin about your assignment and those…hellish creatures…and I'm also the one who'll you be giving your reports about your assignments, do not omit any single detail"
"Yeah sure, whatever" Tony shrugs it annoying Glyda.
"Hmph, how did this assignment went with the creatures?" Glyda ask annoyed, now noticing the attitude from Tony
"You can call them demons and yes i've dealt with them, all of them death" Tony looks down, remembering what he thought earlier.
"Good, although I see something is bothering you Mr Redgrave" Glyda notices his expression and comments on it.
A moment of silence passes, then Tony looks at Glyda while getting off his bike.
"Tell me, how much do you know about demons?" He asks, his tone being serious, after all, not many know about their existence.
"Only from legends and books" She answers then continues "I guess i'll need to learn about them from you"
"Might be a good idea" He dances about the idea, would be a good idea if someone other than Ozpin knew about them but he decided to do it later "But Nah, not right now, I need some shut eye, mind if I give my report tomorrow morning?"
"First thing in the morning, I'll also park your bike inside the facilities, I was also informed that you should keep at least one of your weapons with you, the others will go into the lookers, I don't know why Ozping would say that" Glyda scuffs.
"You never know when a demon might appear" Tony starts sharing some light into "They can hide well, even take the form of a human or a faunus, can be almost undetectable, they are smart and can act as a normal person and lesser demons can break in at any moment, but I'll explain better later"
Tony Walks off, throwing the bike keys to Glyda, heading inside the academy. After he stores his weapons, except one of his mousers, he takes off to the ballroom, not caring about changing into more comfortable clothes. He soon arrives at the Ballroom and sees some of the students already in their pajamas, he notices Yang and Ruby talking, he walks over to them.
"Well well well, hello there handsome" Yang says flirting again.
"Could you, like, not flirt?" Says Ruby then she turns to Tony "Hey Tony, how things went?"
"All i gotta say that it was one hell of a party" He smirks.
"You should invite me next time, we could have some fun" Yang continued flirting.
"Nah, i can handle myself" He shrugs Yang's comment.
"And where are your pajamas, don't tell me you are planning sleeping like this?" Yang says, kinda waiting to see him in different clothing, more intimate clothing.
"Yeah, used to it" Tony continues shrugging off, it's not the first, nor the last time he's sleep like this. "So, what were you talking about?"
"Oh nothing really"
"Ruby is worried that hasn't made friends yet, even though she already gets along with Jaune" Yang shire light into the situation "Ya know, tall blonde guy, guys who was puking"
"Got it" Tony says "Well, if you want another friend Ruby here I am"
"You would?!" She asks excitedly.
"Yeah, don't see why not? you seem like a cool girl" Tony Smiles.
"YAY!" Ruby jumps and hugs Tony with a smile from ear to ear.
"Hey, calm down, hands of the merchandise" Tony chuckles, pushing Ruby away.
"But we could get more friends for you little sister, like.." Yang starts looking around and sees a girl reading "..her!"
"Oh, she's the other girl from the entrance" Ruby says, remembering her.
"Well, you know her already so let's go!" Yang starts dragging her sister.
Tony could feel the same thing he felt earlier, this girl was different, she was hiding something…her bow maybe? he has a feeling now of what she is, maybe a bone or fish would help Ruby to get on her good graces, he decides to follow the girls.
"Hello!" Says Yang cheerfully "I believe you two may know each other"
"Aren't you the girl that exploded?" The girl raises her sight to look at the three, then lower his sight back to the book.
"Uh, yeah!" Ruby started laughing nervously "My name's Ruby, but you can call me…Crater…actually, you just can call me Ruby"
Seconds passed and the girl just said "okay" without looking at them.
The two sisters whispered to each other, Tony chuckled a bit.
"So, what's your name?" Yang asks.
"Blake" she sighed before answering
"Well Blake! I'm Yang, Ruby's Older sister! I like your Bow" Yang is trying to save this conversation, hard, Tony notices
Tony chuckled, but felt a trainwreck coming so he decided to help the two of them break the ice.
"What is the book you are reading?" Tony says trying to make her speak of something she likes, luckly, for him, the girls notice his intentions.
"It's a book about a legendary Dark Knight"
"Sounds…oddly familiar" Tony says, like he was remembering something.
"Oh, sounds cool, tell me about it!" Ruby interrupts.
"It's about a demon, Sparda, the greatest swordsman in hell, one of the most powerful demons, Ages ago, The dark emperor Mundus, another demon, decided to invade the human world, starting a war between humans and demons but Sparda was different, he didn't like the tyranny of Mundus, he decided to fight for humanity against his kind" Blake said, with a glint of a shine in her eyes, although Tony started having a headache, a rather strong one as Blake continued "He alone fought against the Hordes from hell and fought the Emperor of Darkness himself, sealing him and closed the portal to the demon world when the remnants of Mundus retreated, he was hailed as the hero of humanity, some even worshiped him as a god, but there is little information about him later on, he just fought against demons for the good of humanity, some says he found love with a human woman"
"Yeah, we read the legend when we were kids, didn't we?" Yang turns facing Ruby
"Yeah, I remember now, dad used to read us the story" Ruby smiles.
Tony felt the headache growing stronger and stronger as they talked about Sparda, he felt his body losing strength.
"What in the world is going over here! Don't you realize some people are trying to sleep" They heard the voice of Weiss.
"Guys she's right, people are trying to sleep" Ruby saw the logic in her complaining.
"Hey, you alright?" Blake asks, looking at Tony.
"Hey, Tony…?" Ruby asks, concerned about her new friend.
"Remnants to Tony?" Yang notices him in a trance.
"What? yeah, i'm fine" He says breaking off his trance.
"Are you sure? you look almost as white as our hair" Weiss interrupts, actually showing some concern.
"It's nothing, just tired, i'll grab some shut eye if you don't mind" Tony brushes it off and walks over to the window sitting against the wall below it.
"Hey, what's your name?" Blake asks, turning her head to look at Tony.
"Tony Redgrave" He says, closing his eyes.
Tony quickly ejects the bullet on his gun and takes the magazine off without anyone looking, better safe than sorry, he then falls asleep, hoping for the headache to go away.
First chapter done. so We know that Tony is amnesiac, so he doesn't truly know who he is at the moment. Don't worry, he will remember, also, It's so hard to call him Tony, sometimes I just write Dante first and I have to correct myself and put Tony instead.
As I said before, Demons are rare, just legends so the Legend of sparda being in a book sounds fair doesn't it?
Well, rate and review, I'll try to post the second chapter soon. Also, if some of you have some ideas for a better name it would be greatly appreciated, also, constructive reviews would work amazingly good, anyway. also, a small preview for the next chapter.
"Well, one of the relics looks different doesn it?" Says Yang.
"Must be the one that the Headmaster said…a black knight in full plate armor and a sword" Blake adds.

"You guys go ahead and take the others, i'll distract these two" Tony says drawing his guns "This party is getting crazy!"
