12. Chapter 10: Questiosn, Cat and The Name

Also, small note from me: This chapter took longer than i wanted to take, mostly because i've had a lot in my plate during the last weeks, going to the hospital over and over, missing some sleep and other stuff that i'm not going to go into details, i'm trying to publish a chapter per week as i think many could have seen and this chapter was a longer one as is the finish of the first volume of RWBY, anyway, Sorry for the Delay, we should be back on schedule if everything goes alright,

Chapter 10: Questions about Feelings, The Missing Cat and a Name

Team Rwby found themselves training with Tony, actually he asked for their help, mostly to get him used to handling the claymore. The training went well, no injuries or anything and Tony felt more confident with the claymore but he still felt like he was missing something but couldn't put his finger on what exactly, maybe just more training.

"Okay, i'm getting the hang of this thing…i think" He said, spinning the sword around.

"Are you for real?" Yang said, all sweaty.

"You gotta be kidding me right?" Blake was puffin' and huffin'

"After having us attacking you and beating us you are not sure?! incredible…" Weiss scoffed, tired as the others.

"Good job Tony…" Ruby said, laying on the floor barely raising his hand to give a thumbs up.

"Mastery takes time my dear ladies" Tony chuckles as he stuck the blade in the ground "Now i need your help Yang"

"Ugh, what is it this time?" Yang was already dead tired for anything else but she did agree to help.

Tony, now unarmed, lowered his posture entering in his Royal Guard stance, the girls noticed immediately what he was doing, he was going to train this strange ability he acquired. Weiss still called his semblance but he still denied it as he didn't feel it as one. Tony took breath in and out and let his arms flowl, the girls noticed immediately that the strange aura he had before is not present at the moment.

"I need you to hit me, just with your fist" Tony said "And no need to be soft about it, gotta be rough or i don't think it will work"

"Are you sure?" She asked as she was a bit concerned.

"As sure as i can be, just don't use the shotgun blasts" Tony smirked.

Yang was a bit reluctant at first but obliged at the end, she got into position and threw a punch. Tony tried to block it like he did before but it felt different this time, his timing was off and blocked, getting hit with the punch in his chest. Tony grunted in pain as the girls winced from the hit he took, dropping him to his knees meaning that she really didn't hold back.

"Are you okay?" Yang asked, concerned.

"Yeah, i'm fine" Tony said regaining his composure and getting in guard again "Timing is off so let's do it again"

"Okay then…" Yang was still concerned but still did it anyway.

Tony this time changing his timing blocked a bit earlier, he withstood the hit without any issues but felt pain unlike when he blocked the Hell Vanguard's attacks meaning he was still doing it wrong but he also felt energy running through his body although it was minimal. He was starting to think about what this ability means but he needed to make sure that his gut feeling was right.

"That was better…keep going" Tony got into his posture again.

"This doesn't look healthy" Blake interrupted, now concerned.

"Don't worry kitten" Tony smirked.

Yang did it again, he blocked as before, a bit earlier, he felt pain again. The hits continued as Tony's forearms started getting red from the hits he took; he now had the idea that he needed to do a perfect block, as soon as he was going to get hit he needed to block it, but Yang was too fast when it came to her punches to block perfectly. Tony also noticed that the energy he was gathering was increasing slowly but surely.

"Hey, it is really getting red there" Weiss now joined "You should let it rest before you get injured again you idiot"

"No can do" Tony said "I can feel now how the kinetic energy is accumulating inside me…Yang i need you to hit me with your semblance"

"Wait, are you crazy?! your arms would break!" Yang yelled.

"Just do it, I need to test something" Tony insisted.

Yang just sighed and activated her semblance, thanks to the hits she took before her semblance had fuel on it. Yang now with her red eyes and fiery hair punched Tony as he blocked, it wasn't a perfect block but he blocked it. The demon hunter was sent sliding backwards, his forearms were now bleeding.

"Oh my god Tony!" Ruby exclaimed seeing the blood, rushing immediately.

"There she goes after prince charming" Yang joked but was still concerned.

"That idiot…" Weiss muttered.

"I knew things would end up like this" Blake commented.

Tony just smirked as he proved his theory right, the stronger the hit the more energy he would accumulate, he just needed to release it.

"God, look at what you've done" Ruby said, inspecting Tony's injuries.

"It was necessary" He grunted a bit then he pushed Ruby away "Now step back…far away. I need to test this"

"Hey!" Ruby said annoyed but complied.

Tony put his left hand on the ground, closing his eyes and feeling the energy he accumulated. He felt how the energy was flowing through his body and he moved it around to his right fist. He didn't have to think about this before as the situation demanded fast thinking but now, he had all the time to understand it. Tony as soon as he felt all the energy in his right hand he punched the ground releasing the energy.

To say that the ground broke was an understatement, it was more like it exploded violently when he punched it. Pieces from the floor flew away and Tony found himself in a small crater, sitting, he didn't expect it to be so powerful.

"Goodwitch won't be happy about this" He said to himself as he scratched his head.

"Care to explain what you did?" Weiss asked, now annoyed that he was breaking the academy's training hall.

"Sure but first i need to test something" He said jumping from crater "Ruby, now i need you to punch me, gotta test something real quick"

"And hurt you more?!" Ruby seemed baffled by his request.

"Come on, you are not a hand to hand fighter like Yang over there so just do it" Tony smiled as he got into position once again.

Ruby just sighed, she really didn't want to hurt him but his mind was set. Ruby punched him, Tony blocked earlier on purpose as he saw completely Ruby's fist and could have blocked it perfectly, didn't hurt as much as Yang's meaning that the energy gathered was minimum. Tony released the energy again punching the ground, this time there wasn't a crater nor the ground shattered.

"So it was as i imagined" Tony scratched his chin "Do it again, this will be the last time"

"Fine, Promise me this will be the last, i don't want to see you hurt anymore" She said annoyed, somehow that made Tony blush a little as she said those words and the other noticed.

Yang smiled from ear to ear while Blake just twitched his bow a little. Weiss on the other hand was annoyed by it, she hated to admit it but she kinda developed a small crush on the guy.

"Did your sister really make Tony blush?" Blake whispered to Yang.

"Oh yeah she did, great move sis!" Yang whispered back and raised her fist in victory.

"I've made him blush too, not the hardest thing" Weiss whispered too, trying to defuse the situation.

"Someone's jealous" Blake said mocking Weiss

"Oh shush!" Weiss tried to silence Blake but only made her giggle.

'She cares that much about me uh?' Was the first thing that Tony thought as he blushed slightly from her comment but he really needed to test this for the last time so he could see if he was right about this or just imagining things. Ruby threw the punch and he blocked it as soon as it was about to land doing a perfect block, there was a shine of light that appeared as he did it and the distinctive noise from it. Tony didn't felt any pain at all and he felt the energy he gained was higher than from a normal block, he was pleased with himself.

"Well, I know how this works now" Tony said as he released the energy on the ground, this time, a small crack appeared.

"Can you explain now?" Weiss asked, waiting for the answer she got denied earlier.

"Yeah, I'm curious myself on why we had to hurt you" Ruby glared at Tony a bit mad.

"Okay, no need to give me that death glare" Tony said as he backed away "But in a way, Royal Guard is similar to Yang semblance"

"So you take energy from the attacks and it makes you stronger?" Yang asked, knowing fully well what he ment.

"That would be the short answer for it, yes" Tony answered.

"And the long answer would be…?" Blake insisted on getting the full introduction.

"I can block the attacks and lessen the damage I take, transforming part of it on kinetic energy that I can store and can release, difference is that it has to be released all at once" He says pointing out what he learned but he decided to continue before answering questions "But if i block at the perfect moment, as soon as the hit is going to land i don't receive any damage at all and the energy i store is greater than with a normal block"

"That's cheating, I have to take the full brunt of all the attacks while you could just not take any damage at all?!" Yang yelled, she wasn't really angry but annoyed.

"That is so cool!" Ruby exclaimed but changed her expression to an annoyed one "But you didn't need to go as far to test it and get yourself hurt"

"You are not going to let it go, are ya?" Tony asked as the girl in red dennied with her head "Figures"

"Sorry to insist but we got a big elephant in the room" Blake started speaking, interrupting the two "How did you get this ability?"

"I'm wondering the same, you said that you don't have an aura or semblance but this looks like one" Weiss comments as she was still wondering about its origins.

Tony crossed his arms, he wasn't completely sure on how he got it, it was a mystery to himself too. Tony did learn the move as a kid or at least the principle from the memory he saw but it didn't seem to say anything about gaining energy and releasing it but he had a theory.

"I have a theory but I'm not a hundred percent sure…" Tony starts speaking while crossing his arms.

"What is this theory?" Weiss asks now with curiosity.

"Simple, I killed demons for so long, being directly hit by their energy and stopped so many rituals that somehow I managed to absorb part of it and was able to create this ability" Tony said as he rubbed his chin.

"Wait, is that even possible?" Blake didn't seem to buy it.

"Yeah, sounds pretty far-fetched" Yang pointed out.

"Would be cool tho" Ruby comments.

"It's only a theory" Tony confirms but he also had another thing on mind that he didn't want to admit "With demons some logic can be damned if i'm honest, the other thing is that i'm similar to Oran. When my house was attacked as a kid the demons could have done a ritual on me and I managed to escape but cannot confirm it unless i remember everything"

That theory seemed to make more sense but it was really worrisome for the four girls. If his theory was right, that meant that he was used as a guinea pig as a child in a ritual right before his family was killed, what if he becomes a demon at some point? Tony noticed their worried looks and knew what they were thinking about.

"I know what you are thinking but i highly doubt it" Tony shrugs "If i'm indeed been involved in a ritual it must have failed because i'm still human and only gained abilities meaning that more rituals needed to be done on myself to fully make me a demon but as i have a strong willpower i don't think it would be that easy"

"Willpower is that important?" Yang asked, it makes sense in her head but needed confirmation from Tony himself.

"Of course, a lot of demon abilities like mind control, possessions, illusions and all that bunch can be easily broken by sheer willpower, the same work with rituals too" Tony smiled but his face soon turned dark "But in the case it seems that i might become one, it's your responsibility that i spent my last moments as a human"

"Hold on, you are telling us to kill you if that's the case?!" Blake said not believing his words.

Tony simply nodded knowing fully well what it means to kill someone you know as they start becoming demons and starting to lose their minds to the mere transformation. Tony really did set in the mind of the girls the danger of demons, not as powerful they could be but how they can also break one person and Ruby did not like that one bit, not at all as she hugged Tony immediately.

"I won't let that happen…" She said burying her face on his chest "I don't want to lose anyone important again"

"The dolt is right, We won't let that happen" Weiss was angry at the idea, completely ignoring that Ruby was hugging Tony.

"And you said it yourself, it's not going to happen because we are with you" Yang put her hand over Ruby's shoulder knowing fully well how she felt.

"And it's not like the great Tony Redgrave would fall to something insignificant as that" Blake said with a smirk knowing that it would inflate his ego or hurt it.

Tony chuckled, he couldn't ask for better friends.

"Alright, alright. You made your points" Tony said with a genuine smile as he brushed Ruby's head.

"Good that you understood" Ruby steps back as she does her trademark smile.

A day later.

Tony was laying on his bed resting his eyes, lately he's having issues sleeping as he's been having nightmares lately, well, more than usual. He also had to deal with the pain in his arms after the training he did yesterday. Tony ran his finger through his forearms, the pain was barely noticeable now but it stinged a bit, he probably would be good in a day or two.

But there was something else in his mind, Ruby and the reaction he got yesterday. He was close to her sure but for him to blush was a surprise, not like he never blushed before but blushing because of Ruby? He understands blushing with Weiss as they found themselves in awkward moments…did he start liking Ruby? nah, it couldn't be.

But then again, what if he did? She had a caring side that most people don't have, sure she is a bit naive, childish and didn't have the best social skills but neither did he. Tony was also childish sometimes as he taunted his enemies quite a lot and had a flashy fighting style and didn't take a lot of things seriously unless it was related to demons.

Ruby had a good moral side and justice sense, something he respected highly as she was the one who chastised Jaune about keeping the bullying from Cardin as a secret, and talking about a secret she could keep a secret, even though she doesn't like them, if it meant keeping people from danger.

Tony admired Ruby for who she was and the things in common they had but did it really meant she liked her in a romantic sense? Maybe he started liking her in that way but even if he did…it was better that they stayed like this as Jessica always came to his mind.

"Not anymore…" he said to himself.

A few moments later he felt a presence outside his door, four to be exact and if his gut feeling is right then it must be team RWBY, he just smirked this time and continued resting. A loud thud was heard in his door and his smirk grew.

"Tony! Did you lock the door?!" Yang could be heard yelling outside

"Come on, open the door!" Ruby yelled too.

"I demand that you open the door now!" Weiss yelled with an authoritative tone.

"Girls, maybe he is sleeping" Blake said, being a bit considerate.

Tony just laughed and stood up, walking to the door and opening it finding the girls ready to knock again with the exception of Blake, he appreciated her consideration.

"Alright, it's open, no need to be so bossy" Tony chuckled "What's up?"

"We kinda need your help" Blake, Ruby and Yang say, turning to look at Weiss.

"What?" She asks not knowing why they are staring at her.

"She is dragging us to the preparations of the Vytal festival" Ruby deadpans, not sure whether to be happy that Weiss is inviting them or annoyed by being dragged.

"And we need someone who can counter her…Weissness" Yang comments scratching her head.

"Pretty much what they said" Blake deadpans too

"Oh come on, it's going to be fun" Weiss scoffs "And you are coming too Tony"

Tony could see it now, the three girls needed someone that actually could do fun things so it wouldn't get boring or annoying and Weiss actually seemed to find the preparations fun putting him between two clashing armies. He started thinking he had rotten luck with women because in both scenarios he makes the three happy and Weiss angry or the other way around depending on what he says when he spends time with them.

A single sweat drop started running by the side of his head but luckily he had the perfect excuse to avoid being stuck between the four. Tony grabbed one of his mousers and showed it to the team, it was pretty beat up.

"I honestly wish i could go with you babes but i gotta get this to Nell and have it repaired" He lied, well mostly, pretty deep inside he did want to go with the girls.

"Oh, we can accompany you" Blake said a bit desperate as she saw their escape goat…escaping.

"Yes, we haven't seen Nell in a while, we should visit her" Yang started sweating.

"No can do girls, I also have to speak with her in private about some…issues that i'm having" He didn't lie there, he needed some adult guidance.

"Okay, I needed to see her but that's fine, i can see her later" Ruby said, surprising everyone as it was no secret that Ruby really admired Nell as a gunsmith.

"So you are going to be busy" Weiss said a bit sad "I guess we'll take you next time then"

"Yeah, this can't wait, sorry my dear ladies" Tony said in an apologetic tone.

Soon The girls departed from Tony's room, he really felt sorry for the four but it was a good thing that he wasn't there as the girls could bond together as a team and him there would be just getting in their way, also they didn't need a babysitter anyway. Tony soon departed too, just taking his handguns with him hoping that he won't need to use them anyway.

Tony soon got into town and saw that there were more people than usual and that they were decorating the town already. People really did take the festival seriously, it was still a month away. While he was walking to Nell's place he found himself having a strange feeling, like someone was watching him; Tony didn't like that feeling so he kept turning around to see no one really watching him, that really put him on edge.

As he reached Nell's building he felt that he wasn't being watched anymore and what he found weirder is that whatever was watching him didn't show any ill intent…maybe he is just being paranoid. Tony buried his thoughts and got inside the building and headed over to Nell's apartment where he found her working on some guns.

"Hey Nell" He said, doing his two finger salute.

"Holy crap, you did actually come after you sent that message little brat!" Nell was surprised, happy too.

"Well yeah, i need some help with this" He showed her the beaten up gun.

"This doesn't look like the usual damage that you do" She said wondering what happened.

"Got my ass kicked by big ass demon" He said as he sitted down "I killed it but i had some issues when fighting it"

"That's surprising" Nell stopped working, turning around to see his ward, this time actually worried.

"To be honest the girls and some other friends from the academy followed me and got ambushed" He said with a bit of regret.

"Shit…" Nell cursed knowing how this weighed in Tony's mind "Are they alright?"

"Yeah, no injuries aside from the revelation of demons and probably some trauma" Tony sighed "The idiots almost gave me a heart attack as i realized they followed me"

Nell knew pretty well how worried he would be if someone important to the demon hunter got hurt by his inability to protect them, she had to deal with him for years since they met and also had to deal with the ramifications of Grue's and Jessica's death. Nell remembered that during that time he didn't eat anything, not even pizza or strawberry sundae and he kept himself locked in his room laying on bed or just on the ground with a hollow expresion.

"It's a good thing you were there" Nell said as she took Tony's gun and started working on it "But i get you brat, you are still worried"

"How could I not?" He answered with honesty "They are my friends and got involved in demon business, if i wasn't there i would have lost them again"

"It didn't happen so stop worrying about it punk" She said raising her Tone, knowing full well that she needed to act a bit harsher "You saved them and got them out alive, just make sure that doesn't happen again and you'll be ballin' okay?"

"Sure" he gave a faint smile.

Nell continued working on the gun as Tony got a soda and started drinking from it. She was glad that he found more friends aside from the girls. She knew that if he started getting friends and a good number of them had a meaning that he probably doesn't see clearly because he's an idiot; Nell was seeing that Tony was moving away from Grue's death and if he found someone he likes it would also mean that he was letting Jessica go too.

"So…which of the girls do you fancy?" Nell said with a straight face, that question made Tony spill his drink.

"What?" He said coughing a bit "You know that i don't like them that way"

"Really? then what was that reaction?" Nell teased Tony.

"Ugh, I guess I cannot hide it from you old hag" Tony groaned "To be honest i'm not sure how i feel about her"

"So, is it the Blonde bombshell with the big breast? or is it the reserved black haired girl?" Nell asked but Tony denied shaking his head "Uh? that's a surprise, I know you like big boobs and reserved girls by looking at the magazines you have…wait, don't tell me it's the flat chested, bossy aristocrat girl?!"

"What?!" Tony said a bit annoyed by how his guardian described Weiss "She is still growing and she is not that bossy…all the time, she had it rough but no, it's not her even tho we had some awkward moments"

"That only leaves us with the red haired girl, the weapon nut" Then it hit her "Really? her? didn't you like more mature women?"

"Well yeah but listen, i'm not sure if i like her, it's just weird" Tony started scratching his head "That's the other reason I came here knowing that you have more experience than I do

Tony started telling Nell how he felt about Ruby And what was the catalyst for his confusion. Nell listened carefully to his words, she couldn't avoid smiling as she had been in a similar situation when She was Tony's age with a boy and when actually met her ex-husband.

Tony actually blushed a bit as he was talking about her but kept denying his feelings pointing out he doesn't have time for romantic stuff, surprising Nell by this duality. 'You gotta be shitting me, he actually likes her and he is denying it? only this punk would think that way' She thought facepalming.

"So yeah, that's things I guess" he said, a bit embarrassed.

"You really are an idiot" Nell deadpanned.

"Why am I an idiot now?" He groaned as he asked.

"You clearly like her but i'm sure you are in denial because of Jessica" She pointed out his issue as she knew him well.

"Can you blame me?" He says lowering his head.

"I can" Nell says, making Tony raise his head "You need to let her go brat"

"How can I?" Tony's voice cracked "I'm the one who killed her"

"Bullshit!" Nell raised her voice "You didn't kill her, i came to realize that, i know that i'm late because i would have gotten you in a better shape if i did earlier"

Nell had time, lot of time to think of her ward, her surrogate son and how he felt. What happened to Grue was something that could have been avoided with hindsight but Jessica was something unavoidable as she was already fused with the demon since she started having nightmares.

Nell did research in Tony's books and found out that the demon that possessed Jessica could only be destroyed if the host was also destroyed, one of the most dangerous possessions to be known as the others could be separated from the host with certain tactics.

"You know fully well that there was nothing you or anyone could have done to take the demon out" Nell kept raising her voice "You didn't kill her, you save her, gave her a human death before she lost herself completely to the demon after she started to transform"

Tony knew this, he fully knew this but it wasn't an easy pill to swallow as he kept thinking that everything was his fault but maybe…maybe Nell is right and he needs to move one, let Grue and Jessica go.

"I think…that maybe you are right" He said in a soft tone.

"Damn right I am! The girl now knows about demons and by what you are telling me she has a strong willpower so a demon wouldn't really do anything to her and she is a huntress in training. She can take care of herself too" She said putting her fist on her chest "Trust me on this one brat, I have a better eye than you"

"Sheesh, don't let it go to your head, old hag" Tony joked as he smiled.

"Just give it time, maybe she feels the same" Nell said, getting back to work.

"Maybe, but she is a little naive in that territory so I doubt she would" He chuckled as he stood up "Anyway, i'll need to get some of the books and do some work while you fix it if you don't mind"

"Whatever brat" She said.

Tony did feel better after talking with Nell about this issue with his feelings, still not completely sure about what he needed to do but at least he gained some clarity as he actually seemed to like Ruby in a romantic way. Tony also felt that Nell was right about letting go of the past, letting Grue and Jessica go from his mind, not to completely forget them but letting go of this pain that is not letting him move forward, easier said than done.

While Nell worked on fixing his gun Tony was piling a good stack of books and a big traveling bag by the table, those are the books he had managed to recover about demons and such. He started reviewing the information on them, one by one to then put them inside the bag as he finished doing the review of the book.

After two hours Tony finished storing the books on the bag and just in time as Nell finished fixing the gun, perfect timing the two thought.

"Here ya go brat" Nell handed Tony the gun "Don't break until i get you the new ones that i'm working for"

"Wait, you are making me new guns?" Tony asked surprised and excited "You gotta show me"

"Hell no, you'll see them as they are done" Nell winked, teasing Tony.

"Figures" He groans "Anyway, thanks for everything and for listening to me"

"Anytime punk, just remember that the past is the past and move forward" Nell hugged Tony, surprising him as she wasn't the hugging type "You are not alone anymore got it?"

"I guess you are right" Tony answered with a faint smile.

"And bring the girls next time for lunch or Dinner" Nell said with a smile too.

"Sure thing. Later Nell" Tony did his trademark two finger salute and left the place with the bag over his shoulder.

Nell felt truly happy to see the young man in a better place, with friends watching over him and him watching over them, she had to thank Ozpin for making him enroll in Beacon as in there he manage to start healing his wounds; Nell never managed to help him heal his wounds during the time the two lived together. She got back to work, completely losing herself in it until she heard the door knock, Tony again?

Nell stood up wondering who was knocking the door, it couldn't be Tony as he had keys to the apartment. The gunsmith opened the door to see the young girl Tony was speaking so kindly earlier, it was Ruby with a small paper bag on hands and a backpack on her back.

"Em…hello Goldstein..ma'am" Ruby said shyly.

"Ruby was it?" Nell asked to which Ruby nodded "Tony was earlier here, he left not long ago…i think"

"I know, he told us that he would be coming," Ruby nodded.

"Oh, so you are not here for him?" Nell curiosity was piqued.

"Nope, well yes. In a way" Ruby stuttered a little.

Nell smiled and made Ruby get inside as she was now really curious as to why the girl decided to come to her alone. Ruby got inside a bit shyly and sat at the dining table and handed the bag to Nell.

"Here, this is for you" The young huntress in training said.

"Oh, thank you" Nell said as she took the bag and saw inside there was cinnamon rolls "So, what brings you here exactly"

"Well…" Ruby looked away "I want to make a gift for Tony, as thanks for looking out for us and to cheer him up"

"Is that so?" Nell smirked as she heard those words and decided to throw a bone to Tony asking a question "Do you like the brat so much you want to give him a romantic gift?"

"What?" Ruby asked before laughing "Nah, he is a friend"

Nell actually felt bad for Tony as Ruby said those words. The poor guy spent an hour pouring his heart out as to why he liked the girl, even though he denies it and she just appears and says she just sees him as a friend.

"I mean he is a great friend, he is good to everyone, has a good sense of humor, he is strong" Ruby started going further with a straight face but she blushed without noticing "He will go out of his way to reassure to someone that everything will be alright and help them without expecting anything in return and he's been really good to me but i wish he would take better care of himself, at least for me because he worries me so much sometimes"

'That's what he meant as naive? The girl is just an idiot who hasn't noticed that she likes him too' Nell almost facepaled for a second time today as she thought internally, these two had a long road ahead. Nell almost blurted out that Tony liked her and that she did the same but it was better she figured out that for herself, sort out her feelings as she is at that age and wouldn't deny her the experience of finding out she likes someone.

"Okay, i get it" Nell said a bit annoyed "So, what you want to get him"

"I want to give him a backup weapon, something that he can carry with his sword and guns!" Ruby exclaims excitedly "I just need some gunparts and I was wondering if you had some spares that I could use?"

"Spares? you are going to make it?" Nell asked, noticing her choice of words.

"Yeah, We have to make our weapons and I made mine, it's a scythe and high caliber bolt action sniper rifle!" Ruby said really excited as she described her weapon making Nell groan as she noticed the similarities between Ruby and Tony.

"So I'm guessing you have an idea of what you want to make, right?" Aside from being annoyed by her excitement she had to admit she really did care for Tony.

"Yep! i already have the blueprint and some parts" Ruby took from the backpack some sheets of paper and pieces of a broken blade "Planning on making that and I'm using the pieces of Tony's broken sword, i also got some reinforcement materials to enhance the resistance so the blade is stronger"

Nell took the blueprints, started to examine them carefully and was surprised. The design was for a handgun-short sword combination that used a 45. caliber, the idea was that the weapon would change between three modalities. The short sword mod, simple enough with a simple guard and a trigger by the handle but then the blade would fall back opposite to the trigger transforming the sword into a tonfa and exposing the gun side.

The gun from what she saw in this modality extended the gun barrel but it was short; the notes in the blueprint mentioned that this mode was made for a short range and heavy dust use, ideal for it to be combined with the bladed Tonfa and the last modality was the storage mode where the blade retracts making it easy to carry.

"I gotta admit, this is actually pretty good" Nell said as she continue inspecting the blue prints "You got notes and calculations in here too"

"Thank you!" Ruby eyes shined, getting a compliment from a legendary gunsmith meant a lot for her.

"This will complement nicely to his crazy fighting style" Nell grinned as she was going to throw a bone to both of them "I'm sure this will make him go head over heels for you"

"He would?" Ruby blushed confused by Nell's direct words "I don't think he would, you are just exaggerating"

"Maybe i am" Nell says standing up and grabbing a crate to then put it in front of Ruby "These are some spare parts that i was using for creating the brat a new pair of handguns, feel free to use them"

"Sweet!" Ruby exclaims "Wait, you are making Tony a new pair of handguns?!"

"Yeah, The best work that i'll do so far, custom made too. These babies will be sturdy enough so they don't break by hits and by his reckless rate of fire" Nell grinned with pride.

"Oh my gosh…that sounds amazing" Ruby raised her arms in excitement "Can I see them?

"Sure but keep it as a secret, Tony knows about the guns but i didn't show him at all" Nell said and Ruby nodded.

Nell shows Ruby a pair of handguns, both M1911 models with longer barrels and custom slides with a muzzle compensator. The guns were still missing the aiming sights, the hand grip and some other parts but so far they seemed different from any gun Ruby has ever seen; not to mention that one gun was silver color while the other was black.

"When are they going to be finished? Gosh I can't wait to see them in action!" Ruby excitement was through the roof.

"In a couple days but don't mention anything to Tony okay?" Nell said as she put her index finger over her mouth.

"I promise I won't!" Ruby did an exaggerated soldier salute as she swore.

"Good, now I think we need to work on his weapons now, why do you stay for a while? i can give you some pointers here and there" Nell winked as she said that.

The two started working on their respective projects while keeping an eye on what the other was doing. Nell noticed that Ruby was really talented in crafting the gun part, she chose the tools and parts well but she was still years ago to meet her level. From time to time Nell gave Ruby some advice on what she was doing making her work easier.

The two worked together until the sun started to fall, it was getting late and Ruby didn't want the others to ask too many questions so she said her goodbyes, took the parts that she needed and left the workshop. Nell just watched as the girl went away, wishing her luck with her project and also wishing both of them to sort their feelings out.

To be young again, that is what most people would say but in Nell's case, she was happy where she was now. The gunsmith had fun with her current life, making guns, watching Tony grow as he started becoming a grown man as she did with her own son until her divorce but then again, her son is what made her continue being a gunsmith.

The gunsmith continued working until midnight on the handguns until she heard a noise inside the apartment. Nell stopped working immediately as she was sure she locked the door, she picked a handgun she had hidden under the working table she always used and started looking for what made the sound.

Nell walked carefully, firm aim as she walked, then. A metallic sound was done in the kitchen making Nell cock the gun and head to the room. Nell found a woman in a black dress, the same woman the hunters in training met the other night; this intruder was making tea in a kettle while ignoring Nell and her gun.

"Who the hell are you?" Nell asked the woman as she pointed her gun.

"I assure Lady Goldstein, i mean you no harm" said the female intruder

"Says the one transparsing my place this late" Nell joked as she was ready to pull the trigger.

"Like i said, i mean you no harm and that gun would barely hurt me" The woman said as she grabbed the kettle and poured the tea over two cups "I actually came here to thank you about taking care of Dante"

"Dante?" Nell asked, confused, but didn't let her guard down.

"I forgot that not many know his real name" The woman giggled "I mean Tony"

"So that's his real name…But who are you anyway? His mother?" Nell wasn't sure if she needed to lower the gun.

"My name is Nyx and no, I'm not Dante's mother. I'm a friend of his family or well, was a friend until their demise" The woman said with grief in her voice "I think you would want to know some answers, that's why i'm making some tea"

"Ugh, fine" Nell agreed against her better judgment, lowering her gun.

The two women headed to the dining table and sat down. Nyx handed one of the cups to Nell, it had a strong smell, black tea and one of good quality too. Nell examined the woman in black, her amber eyes showed a lot of sadness and grief by merely looking at it but not only that, she had really big bags below them as if she hadn't slept for days.

"Tony seems to be growing well" Nyx said as she smiled faintly "Eva would be so happy to see how her son is doing"

"That or would be disappointed" Nell jokes "But as a mother i could say she would, but what about his father?"

"To talk about his father…is…complicated" Nyx chose her words carefully as she knew the man well "In a way, he would be happy he chose the path of protector as he once did two thousand years ago"

"Two thousand years ago?" Nell felt like the woman was pulling her leg or highly exaggerating "You kidding right?"

"If only…are you familiar with demon history?" Nyx asked softly.

"Of course, anyone who knows demons has to know about demon history. Hell, even some books are still produced today as legends, Sparda to be specific" Nell said as she took a sip of the tea now that it was warm enough so she wouldn't burn herself.

"Sparda…" Nyx said with sadness again then she stared Nell with determination, confidence and a no nonsense aura "He is his father"

Nell felt like laughing but the way the woman said it, the expression of her eyes, she wasn't kidding at all. Nell was in shock as everything started to make sense, his unusual strength, his rapid healing that could take a couple days, his reflexes that seemed above anyone she ever saw. Tony was a demon, but not only that, he was the son of a freaking legend.

"Holy shit…" Nell said, still in shock as she puts the cup on the table with care "He is a demon"

"Only half part of him is" Nyx said as she drank the tea "Eva, the woman Sparda fell in love with, was a simple human, Dante is a halfbreed"

Tony was a halfbreed now, a mix between a demon and a human, did he know about his nature? probably he wouldn't as he always thought of himself as a human and didn't seem to lie at all. Nell wondered for a moment…would this change their relationship? she reached the conclusion that it wouldn't, Tony was Tony no matter if he was a demon or human, the brat cared too much for others to be evil and not to mention that his father rebelled against his own kind, fell in love with a human too as Tony is now.

"Okay, I believe you, not that I care what he is but I want to know the whole story" Nell asked, a bit more calm.

Meanwhile at Beacon.

Tony was taking a walk after transcribing the books he took from Nell's place. He felt his shoulders being stiff as he spent all the time since he got back transcribing at the library, he was sure he still was missing more than half making him sigh, tonight was going to be a long night.

As he walked aimlessly taking a well deserved break not only for his body but for his overloaded brain, thinking about all the information he had on demons and also what he talked with Nell about Ruby really did a number to his mind. Tony crashed with someone, that someone being Blake who had an expression of worry with a mix of anger, a surprising encounter in his mind.

"Why the hurry kitten?" He was a bit concerned by her expression.

"I…" Blake started saying, she was conflicted if she should say something as Tony was someone who probably wouldn't judge her.

"You…?" Tony pressed for an answer.

"Not your business!" Blake yelled as she continued running, leaving him behind.

"Well, the kitten has claws, who would have guessed?" Tony joked out loud knowing that no one would hear him.

Tony was worried but he knew he wouldn't get any answers from her at the moment as she was worked up, better tomorrow as she should have calmed down. Tony headed back to the library to continue working, sitting down at the lonely table as he continued transcribing.

Book after book, he transcribed each one of them until his body couldn't take it anymore and he fell asleep on top of the book he was transcribing at the moment. Pleasant dreams was something he wished to have but wasn't able to get, this wasn't an exception as he dreamed again with the same dream that always has.

Each time he had this dream it became clearer and clearer as this time he was able to see the face of the two kids, they were younger versions of himself but still couldn't really hear the names of the kids, just that they were brothers. To his surprise something unexpected happened, a woman in black appeared in the dream for a brief moment, watching from a far distance.

When Tony woke up, he wasn't panicking as he always does; he wondered if he got used to the dreams or he just started going numb from the costant terror. He shook off the thought as he checked the time, it was six in the morning meaning that he still had some time to work before class started.

He continued where he left, the book was about the seven hells, the demons that he has been fighting lately. He thought it was a good idea to get a refresher since he's been fighting them so much lately but this ended up being a bad idea. Tony's face grew pale as he finished reading the book, how did he forget this? Normally the seven hells are quite rare as they were sealed and lost their name.

The young demon hunter wouldn't say they are that rare but the part that said they were sealed was what scared him, the seven hells are keepers for the Temen-ni-gru, the portal that separates the demon world from the human world, that was what main reason they were sealed.

Cold sweat ran through his body and spine as the mere thought of the seals being broken passed his head, the problem isn't that the seals were broken, that is just the consequence, the problem was the seals were made by Sparda himself meaning that they didn't break by themselves…someone was doing it.

Pride, Sloth, Lust and Greed are the ones he has fought lately, that would mean that someone broke the seal of at least four of the seven hells leaving only three seals still intact. The bigger question at the moment is who is breaking the seals; He ran his hand over his hair then grabbed softly the bridge of his nose with his index finger and thumb.

Tony's head was in full gear as he thought who would have been breaking the seals, couldn't be a human as they don't have enough power to break them. A Demon, it had to be a Demon breaking them but who? Oran? no, he wouldn't as breaking the seals didn't mean that he would get stronger as his plan was to take his master out, maybe his master.

Tony stopped his gears as he figured out that he would get nowhere, he'll just start overthinking and that is the least he needs to do at the moment. He took the books as headed back to his dorm room to get changed and store the books for later.

Tony reached the door of his room and saw the sisters get out of theirs with no Blake or Weiss, they had a worried look on their faces meaning that something happened and that he would probably get dragged to the issue.

"Where could she have gone?" Yang said.

"Blake…" Ruby said softly to then notice Tony "Hey Tony, have you seen Blake?"

"Yeah, i saw her last night" Tony answered as he was already expecting something like that "actually crashed with each other but she continued her path, she seemed angry"

"That must have been not long after she left the dorms" Yang said as she crossed her arms.

"I'm guessing something happened between the four of you"

"Yeah…" Ruby said as she lowered her head "But don't worry about it, is an issue we have to solve as a team"

"Oh, okay then" Tony said, surprised that he wasn't dragged to the issue. Well, whatever, not his problem at the moment but deep inside he was a bit worried "If you guys ever need me, you know where to find me and how to pay me"

"Pizza?" The sisters asked in unison.

"And strawberry sundae" He said as he got inside his room.

Tony wasn't really someone to show worry unless demons were involved but Blake running away like that did worry him, as soon as he dropped all the books he got his scroll out and called her. One, two, three and four times he called and never got an answer from his faunus friend, she didn't want to be contacted by the looks of it.

If she was being a pain he would just use his special ability and feel her, sitting down in the border of his bed, the young demon hunter closed his eyes. Clearing any distraction, any thought from his mind and focusing on Blake's image.

Slowly and with a bit of time, Tony's mind started feeling Blake's presence, he wasn't used to feeling people like this and this far, normally they need to be pretty close but he was able to feel her. She was alright, that's all he could get, no exact location or anything but that was all he needed for now.

The classes were boring, the lunch was pizza again although that salchipapa thing he saw in the menu wasn't that bad looking so he'll order it next time. The Sparring class was also boring as the remainder of team RWBY wasn't really in it; they had an awkward feeling between them ruining all the mood, sure he had fun with JNPR but would have been more fun with everyone.

Tony hated to admit that he was already missing Blake's sarcastic comments. Missing was something he was used to, missing someone who has died, that is; this new sensation of missing was something he really wasn't used to as the person was alive meaning he would be able to see them again.

He cursed silently as he wanted to see them all again together under the normal circumstances. Tony just hoped everything would get back to normal soon, he'll need to get information out of the girls anyway now that this is really bothering him now with all these feelings.

The night falls and Blake isn't anywhere to be seen making both Ruby and Tony extremely worried. Tony had enough and was about to head out and look for her but something stopped him, demonic energy rose from the Emerald Forest, it wasn't strong but had a lot of numbers, this was something he couldn't ignore.

Sometime later in the Emerald Forest.

Tony walked over two hours in the forest, he followed the demonic energy until our demon hunter found himself standing by a cliff where he saw a horde of demons, a hundred in total but not the ones he expected to see.

None of the demons was from the seven hells; instead, what he found was Marionettes including some Bloody Mari and a few blades in their ranks. These guys aren't the ones summoning the seven demons but most importantly, why is there a horde here? and who is the commander?

Tony searched from the distance but he couldn't see any big demon that could be the commander, meaning two things: The commander just left or he just made the demons appear here so he could hit the city next night, either way the commander wasn't here.

Tony was about to light this party up as he got his handguns out. Tony backed off, taking a good running start, stretched his legs and grimmed. Without a second thought Tony started running at full speed, jumping over the cliff while exclaiming in excitement in the air.

Tony while flying in the air turned himself to face the ground and started spinning while he falled downwards in the middle of the demons making a rain of lead.

The demons didn't expect this attack, many fell from the Rainstorm as chaos, confusion and death started happening working on Tony's advantage. Tony touched the ground, surrounded by demons, whenever he turned his head he saw demons, he didn't care at all as something told him he could win.

The demon hunter reloaded his guns and started shooting in different directions, one hand to one side, the other to another side. All the demons started a full attack on the reckless hunter who's eyes started shining red.

"Let's start this party!" Tony yelled with a big smile on his face, this is what he lived for.

Tony shooted, slashed, blocked, parried, blasted and stabbed all night as he fought the horde of demons, he was having the time of his life as he killed the hellspawns with all his worries banishing in that moment.

It wasn't to say that he had it easy, the sheer number of demons made it quite hard for him to get unscathed but he used and practiced the Royal Guard to mitigate all the damage he could as the best way to train in his mind was with "live ammunition".

The hours passed and Tony had killed more than half of the demons but fatigue was something he didn't take into account…but it doesn't matter, he was having so much fun.

"Come on!" Tony said panting, taunting the demons who were either terrefied of this hunter power or hating that this idiotic human was stupid enough to face them.

Tony pushed the tiredness aside and rushed against the remaining demons as his eyes shined in a deep red color mixed with the blue. The sun started showing it's face as a single demonic roar was heard, loud enough to make the birds fly from the tree branches.

The demoness Nyx watched from afar, she actually watched from the start as she planned to defeat the demons herself until Tony appeared

"He's reckless but he is getting stronger by each fight he has" Nyx said with faint smile "He's unlocking his power slowly, maybe he won't need me"

She turned around with the same faint smile and walked away into the shadows, disappearing.

Meanwhile Tony was panting heavily, barely able to stand without the help of his sword who was stuck on the ground. Tony felt how all his energy was spent and his strength started failing as he was heavily injured but noticed his life wasn't in danger.

He used what he had on strength and stumbled his way to the academy as he thought that whatever this power he felt inside, was not only healing him but made him strong enough to deal with a horde by himself, without it…well, he wouldn't be standing here at all.

Back at Beacon.

Ruby and his sister were looking for Tony as he also disappeared last night, one friend was enough but two was just bad news; they were genuinely worried about him as he probably went to fight demons not knowing what he just did.

Soon, they find their friend, stumbling lightly, full of injuries in the courtyard toward the two. Yang felt annoyed as he went to fight alone and got himself injured while Ruby's heart sank as she saw him injured again and blamed herself for not being able to help him again.

"Oh my gosh!" Ruby said as she dashed with her semblance to Tony's side "Are you okay?!"

"Do I look that bad?" Tony chuckled as he asked.

"Yeah you idiot" Yang said annoyed and worried "You are full of injuries and you are barely able to walk, why did you go alone?"

"Because you had your minds in another matter" Tony pointed and and left a deep sigh "And I didn't want you to get involved in this fight as believe me, it would have been worse than the last one"

Tony lost his balance for a moment and Ruby catched him, letting him use her shoulder as support. Tony didn't want to admit it but he was a bit embarrassed to be so close to her and getting himself be helped.

"Yeah, because you are in such a good state" Ruby said with a sarcastic tone.

"Babe, it was around a hundred demons, do you really think I would risk you Ruby?" Tony said with a stern tone "I wouldn't risk anyone unless you guys are ready"

"Crap dude" Yang interjected as she saw that she was being ignored as the two started entering their own world "When are we going to be ready?"

"I have plans if you guys are serious to help me hunt demons" Tony answered with full honesty as he knew that he couldn't keep them away from his business anymore.

Once they killed a demon, there was no going back and they already crossed that line meaning that they'll start facing demons later on whenever they like it or not as demon kind is rather vengeful.

Tony hated to admit that he was worried for them but this was his fault and he needed to, no, he has to take responsibility and make sure they can survive as long as they can if he is no longer alive to fight.

"Changing the topic" Tony said as he stopped using the help of Ruby to stand as he started feeling better now "Has the kitten come back?"

Ruby's and Yang expression said it all, she hasn't come back. Tony let out a deep sigh, no rest for the wicked.

"Fine, help me to my room. I'll take a shower then we'll get to find our stray kitten" Tony gave a smile to reassure the sisters.

"Sure, let me help you" Ruby said, answering with a smile of her own.

"Okay you two, don't get into your own world again and leave me behind" Yang said, teasing the two with a grin.

The three got into the dorms, helping Tony walk who was getting better by the second. He could feel his strength get back at an alarming speed but he kept his mouth shut, better not to make them worry. When they arrived at his door, the girls got inside with him to then let him get into a shower.

The hot water ran over Tony's body, who was healing fast, faster than he has ever healed before. Tony ran his fingers over his body, he felt and saw how the injuries closed slowly making him question his humanity further than before.

He knew he was different because of his strength and everything about him but this healing was on another level…He needed to do a test so he grabbed a shaving blade and cut himself on the palm of his hand making a light cut.

The blood quickly stopped coming out of the new injury and in the timeframe of five minutes the injury was gone. He's probably something like Oran as every evidence pointed that way and he was slowly losing his humanity, that single thought scared him as hell to the point he let himself fall on his butt.

Tony's head started going in denial, no, he was human after all and has a lot of willpower; transforming into a demon would be impossible by these facts but this didn't change the fact that he was, indeed, changing and getting stronger by the second.

Tony got out of the shower, fully clothed now with the exception of the missing coat as he now needs a new one…again but more importantly, most of his injuries were gone by now and the girls noticed.

"Tony…They…are gone" Yang said softly.

"Yeah, they are" Tony said in a depressed tone "I don't know what's happening and i'll probably need to do more testing as i'm worried about this"

Ruby just stayed sitting on a chair, this was really worrisome for her; Tony was changing in front of her eyes and that lost look in his eyes just made her heart sink even more.

"Whatever it is, I'm here for you Tony, we all are" Ruby said, but she didn't notice that subconsciously made emphasis on herself.

"Ruby…" Yang said softly as she noticed that was probably the one more worried about him for many reasons and all of them complicated.

Their minds were somewhere else until the door was opened by Weiss, she had an unfriendly expression making Tony guess that the something that happened was related to the Ic queen over there.

It wasn't hard to guess as the only two looking for Blake were Yang and Ruby while Weiss was missing or not present without mentioning that the air between the three was bad during classes.

"Where have you guys been?" Weiss scoffs.

"Busy" Tony says with a serious tone "Now that you are here, let me ask. The hell happened between you and Blake?"

Tony went straight to the point surprising the girls, his serious tone was also another thing they didn't want to mess with so Weiss explained what transpired the night Blake escaped, their discussion of Weiss difficult childhood and her views about the White Fang and Blake points too, he saw both of them in the right and both in the wrong.

"So you two are just being childish" Tony rolled his eyes.

"It's not childish" Weiss crossed her arms and looked away.

"Ice queen, it is" Tony deadpanned "For real though, i can understand your points, hell, i even see them with my fight with demons but let's make something clear, very clear. The White Fang wasn't always like this, they were peaceful but tired"

"And what does that have to do with?" Weiss scoffed.

"A lot, it's like when you fill a balloon with water, you keep feeling it with water and eventually it is going to burst. Same happens with Humans and Faunus when they get tired and frustrated enough" Tony started pointing out the facts "And your father really didn't make it easier for them didn't he?

"Well…" Weiss wanted to talk back but found herself lost with words.

"Like i said, i see your point and you are right, the White Fang, the actual White fang is a bunch of killers and terrorist" Tony took a deep breath" But on other side Blake has suffered enough just because she was born a Faunus, I knew Blake was a faunus long before any of you did"

"Wait, you did?" Yang said surprised.

"Remember that I'm different too" Tony deadpanned.

"So that means you did your power thingy and felt she was different?" Ruby asked to which Tony nodded.

Tony crossed his arms, he felt like he was going somewhere but to clear this mess up they really need to find Blake before she gets in trouble as it has been almost two days since she has been gone.

"Let's look for Blake and put an end to this so we can clear things up" Tony said loudly "You are welcome to come too if you oh so wish Ice Queen"

That said, Weiss felt a bit hurt by that statement and everything said before, maybe Tony was right about what he said and she was being childish for acting that way she's been acting.

Weiss gave it a hard thought about not caring about Blake and so but deep down she actually did care and was worried too but pride was too big to swallow at this moment.

Later in the city.

The trio of huntresses in training and the demon hunter were looking for Blake, Tony trying to feel her energy while the sisters called out to her. Weiss was still deep in thought thanks to Tony's words, she did care and wanted to find her but was scared of what Blake would say knowing all the implications.

"Blake! where are you?!" Ruby called out.

"Blake!" Yang Called out to her partner.

"Weiss, you're not helping" Ruby turned around to face her partner.

"Oh, you know who might be able to help?" Weiss started with a sarcastic tone "The police"

"Ugh, Weiss…" Ruby said with a simmer of anger while staring daggers into Weiss.

Tony saw this exchange and facepalment, this was going to be more work than he expected as he knew that Weiss ego was too big to let this go down easily and this was something he knew he couldn't do without herself trying first.

"Okay babes, no fighting allowed, let's just continue looking" Tony said standing between the two of them.

"It was just an idea" Weiss rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, a bad one" Ruby was still annoyed and continued digging holes with her eyes into Weiss' head.

"Let's get a move on" Tony said, raising his voice to stop the argument.

"Thank god you are the voice of reason handsome" Yang sighed.

"And i think Weiss' hair looks wonderful today" a female voice said behind them

The voice surprised the four as they turned around to see a girl with orange medium to short length hair, it was a bit curly too; she also had a pink bow behind her head. Her eyes were bright green, pale white skin and freckles.

This girl was wearing an old fashion light gray-ish blouse, with a sleeveless gray dress with neon green details and a black collar that covered her neck that also had neon green lines. She also wore some black high tights that apparently…was part of her shoes? also it had that neon green lines too.

Tony felt something odd about this girl, she had energy inside her but something was off, he couldn't hear a heartbeat like he is now doing to the other girls whose heart rate raised by the surprise. Tony heard ticking sounds coming from her, like machinery and then he realized that now his hearing was enhanced to that point making grimaces that every second he is getting weirder and weirder.

"Agh! Penny! Where do you come from?" Ruby squealed by the surprise

"Hey guys what are you up…?" The girl now identified as Penny started staring Tony with a big intensity, her body gesture changed to an aggressive one "You…are different"

"Same could be said about you" Tony said while crossing his arms.

"Oh, This handsome guy is Tony, he is our friend" Yang said, presenting his friend.

"Wonderful!" Penny's attitude immediately change when Yang mentioned the word friend "Salutations, I am Penny, it's my pleasure to meet you"

That was a fast change of mood, Tony's expresion changed a couple of times over seconds, from 'what the hell' to 'whatever' but he was sure of something, this girl was really innocent and second, she wasn't human but wasn't a demon either.

"Same thing, Name's Tony" Tony said, not sure if he should trust her but she did seem to be harmless enough to let it slide "By the way, have you seen a girl this tall, wearing black and white, black hair with a bow?"

"Yeah, we are looking for our friend Blake" Yang joined in sharing some light

"Oh! you mean the Faunus girl" Penny said like it wasn't a secret at all, this surprised Tony, she was definitely different.

"Wait, how did you know that?" Ruby was also surprised and wanted to know how she knew.

"Uh, the cat ears?" Penny said, pointing to her head.

Tony was sure this girl was different as she could notice something that was hidden by a bow, it was like she had special vision. Then it clicked in Tony's mind, this girl wasn't human or demon but artificial, the ticking machinery sound gave it away as he had seen Atlas machinery before and heard it closely.

Also, Tony read a lot of comic books to know about Androids who look and act exactly like humans but this girl Penny was something different and he couldn't put a finger on why.

"What cat ears?" Yang pointed out then fell into the realization as she continued speaking "She wears a…bow…"

A second of silence passed as the three girls realized she used the bow to hide her Faunus traits while a lonely tumbleweed rolled, passing by the group and Tony just laughed his ass off internally.

"She does like tuna a lot" Ruby whispered, breaking the silence making Tony chucke.

"So, where is she?" Penny asked.

"We don't know, she's been missing since Friday" Ruby's tone was filled with worry, Penny gasped and approached the huntress.

"That's terrible! Well don't you worry my friend! I won't rest until we find your teammate" Penny said with confidence.

Tony watched as the other two members of the team silently sneaked away from Penny and Ruby, they even made hand signals to Tony so he would escape too and he honestly thought of doing it; but his heart was thinking of another thing and couldn't leave Ruby alone and just did his trademark two finger salute to the leaving girls.

"Uh, that's really nice of you Penny, uh, but we're" the red huntress stuttered. "We're okay. Really. Right guys?"

Ruby turned to see only Tony standing there while her big sister and partner were nowhere to be seen as they ditched her. 'Well, at least Tony is still here with me' she thought as she watched the same tumbleweed come back rolling as the wind seemed to laugh.

"It sure is windy today" Penny commented.

"You don't say" Tony commented too "The other two went ahead to look elsewhere for Blake, we should probably do the same"

"Can't believe they ditched us!" Ruby exclaimed, annoyed.

"Calm down sweetheart" Tony said raising his hands "Lets just find Blake with our friend here"

When Tony said that word Ruby knew he had done something he would regret later.

"What did you say?" Penny asked

"Eh? that we should look for Blake, the three of us" Tony repeated himself.

"No, what did you call me?" Penny pressed on.

"Em…friend?" Tony turned his head to look at Ruby who was shaking her head.

"Fantastic!" Penny exclaimed as she hugged the demon hunter with great strength "I've never had a friend who is a boy!"

Tony was really weirded out but Ruby was feeling something inside as the girl hugged Tony, she felt a bit angry and envious that Penny was hugging Tony so tightly. Ruby felt a small knot in her chest area for some reason just looking at them, she didn't know that this was called jealousy.

"We should get moving okay?" Ruby said as she coughed catching the other two attention while making an annoyed expression "Is actually a good idea to look for Blake separately so we can cover more of the city"

"Oh, okay sure?" Tony said a bit confused when looking at Ruby's expression "Well, if I find anything i'll call you instantly"

"I'll do the same, take care Tony" Ruby said as she hugged the man.

Tony headed in a different way from the two girls, still confused by what happened and thinking that women are definitely a mystery to him but right now he needed to focus on finding Blake.

The hours passed and there was no signs of Blake, his energy sensing ability wasn't able to focus directly on her to pinpoint her location as the city was too noisy to concentrate. Tony walked over the whole city, asking around to people who were walking, in stores, bars, hotels you name it. but no sign of the girl until he stepped in a cafe where he felt some residue of her energy.

Tony has a clue now so he asked one of the waiters and they confirmed that the girl was here with a blonde faunus with a monkey tail but they didn't know where they went. It wasn't much but Tony now had a clue, she was with a blonde Faunus and he should be able to track her down faster.

Tony started asking in the area for directions, some were helpful and others were the contrary but track led him closer to the docks and then, a loud noise and smoke started coming from the docks.

"Ah crap" He said as he started running towards the docks.

Tony ran as fast as he could until someone appeared in front of him, a woman in black, the same woman that met Nell and the girls. Tony instantly knew it was a demon and not any demon, a higher demon that was suppressing her power.

Nyx looked at Tony as she stood in front of him, how big he has grown, how handsome he has become; she felt sad just looking at him because of her own failure and Tony noticed her melancholic attitude.

"It's not everyday that you meet a demon using a human disguise, not a higher demon that is" Tony said as he drew his sword.

"Not many of our race care to live like humans" She said softly, her voice resounded in Tony's head, it was nostalgic for some reason.

"Living like humans? don't make me laugh" Tony mocked.

"I don't jest Tony Redgrave, living as a human is worth the effort" Nyx said and then started crying "My…how big you've grown during all these years"

"Wha…" Tony was caught surprised as he saw the demoness crying and her words but another explosion happened and more smoke rose into the night sky "Sorry lady but if you aren't here to fight or kill humans i have something more important to do"

Tony started running past her but he stopped as she mentioned his name again.

"Tony, a fair warning before you go" She says turning to face him again "A powerful demon is looking for you"

"For me? Do I owe him money or what?" Tony joked

"No, that's not it" Nyx shook her head "Just be careful my child and protect those kids"

"Don't have to tell me twice" Tony nodded and continued on his way.

Nyx stood there in the middle of the empty street, watching as the child ran and disappeared into the distance, he wasn't ready to know the truth yet, she actually thought it was better if he never knew and continued this life as a human.

"I won't fail you this time Dante" She said to herself filled with resolve to protect the child of the man and woman she admired so much.

Tony kept running, still not having time to process what just happened with this demoness and how she knew him, his mind was on Blake who was probably in danger. Soon he reached the docks and he saw Ruby with Penny heading into a roof; Tony did the same and followed the duo.

When the young demon hunter reached the roof he heard some voice, Ruby's voice and a man voice he seemed to recognise slightly from the time he worked as a mercenary but his body felt cold as a blast hit Ruby, sending her backwards in the roof.

Tony quickly rushed and catched the girl before she could hit the ground. She was surprised to see him but was glad he was there. The man was pissed, Penny was also mad and the two headed up to the border of the roof.

The duo saw a man with red carrot hair, a bowler hat who was also wearing a white suit jacket and black suit pants and a cane. Tony knew this man, he used to visit Bobby's cellar a lot.

Aside from the obvious there was the missing Blake with the Blonde Faunus that Tony was told and not only that, a lot of members of the White Fang fighting them.

"Roman torchwick, It's been a while isn't it?" Tony said, greeting the man.

"Redgrave? the hell are you doing here?" Roman said as he recognised the demon hunter.

"Oh you know, hanging with my friend. The one you blew off with that weapon of yours" Tony was staring daggers into the man.

"Well, little red could have said she was a friend of yours but you know this business don't you? We gotta protect our turf" Roman said while spinning his cane around.

"No hard feelings if I join the fight" Tony said as doing gentleman-like hand gesture

"No hard feelings my friend" Roman said as he waved his wand lazily

"Sweet" Tony turned to face Penny "Can you keep up?"

"Penny, wait! stop!" Ruby tried to stop the girl.

"Don't Worry Ruby" She faced Tony "I'm combat ready!"

When Penny said those words, her backpack opened and some strange equipment came out floating. It seemed strange at first but then the item expanded into a sword to then divide into ten swords. Tony was surprised and smiled as he drew his sword out.

The two jumped and started beating up the grunts from the White Fang. Tony watched Penny fight them with the floating swords as she threw them, spun them around and defeated a lot of White Fang members with them, really surprising the demon hunter.

"Not bad Penny" Tony said as he grabbed one of the White Fang grunts and threw him with a right kick.

"Thanks, but why are you holding back?" She said as she threw the blades in a spinning circle sending the enemies flying.

"They might die if i do" Tony shrugged then turned his face to the sky as he heard something coming.

And he was right, what came were three bullheads armed with machine guns who started shooting at the two immediately. Penny spun the blades blocking the blades and Tony block the damage doing a continuing Royal Guard.

To Tony's surprise, Penny got two more blades out and stuck them on a wall she then pulled back thanks to an almost invisible wire attached to the blades, Tony was able to see them but he was sure the others couldn't.

The blades from Penny transformed into their original form and span in front of her, a big surge from energy was felt by Tony as a green glowing orb of energy appeared in front of Penny and her weapons. Tony was surprised once again as this was Aura energy, this artificial girl possesed Aura.

Penny shot a ray of energy that cut two of the bullheads in half leaving a red glowing mark on the metal that was cut. Penny then threw the blades to a bullhead that was holding a container of dust and started pulling it with the wires.

Our demon hunter wasn't to be outdone so he quickly humped into the top of the bullhead and cut one of its wings with his sword then jumped off as the Bullhead fell to the ground.

Roman saw the opportunity, boarding one of the remaining bullheads, cursing these weird kids and escaped. Leaving everyone the victory for the meddling kids and the demon hunter.

"And that's all she wrote" Tony said as he dusted off his hands "You are quite good Penny for being what you are"

"Did…you figure it out?" She asked surprised.

"Yeah, but don't worry, I won't tell" Tony winked as she petted her head "I won't spill a friend's secret like it's nothing".

Soon everyone that was present got together, Blake, Penny, Tony, Ruby and the Blond Faunus, had spiky blond hair, a white open shirt with nothing under it showing her bare chest. He also wore jeans that reached a bit higher than his ankles and yellow sneakers.

"Thanks for the assist Guys" The Blond faunus said offering a fist bump.

"No problem there monkey king" Tony fist bumped the faunus while giving him a smirk "Name's Tony Redgrave"

"Sun Wukong" said the faunus "Cool name dude"

"Yours aren't bad either" Tony said and turned to the other "I like this guy already"

But not everything was smiles and giggles as Blake wanted to find a hole and hide, she didn't not expected them to find her.

"What are you guys doing here?" She said embarrassed.

"for you of course" Tony said.

"We were so worried for you Blake" Ruby immediately hugged the kitten

"Why…?" She asked.

"Dumb question" Tony said as he shrugged.

"How is that dumb?!" She yelled.

"It is a dumb question dude" Sun said siding with the demon hunter "They are here because they care for you"

"See, my dude over here gets it" Tony said with a smirk

The two guys fistbumped again while Blake was lost for words, also lacking oxygen as Ruby was still hugging her and not letting go.

"Blake, please, tell us why did you run?" Ruby said, almost in tears.

"I…It's a long story" Blake lowered her head and said with a soft tone.

"We have time tho i already know what it is" Tony said, as he did put two and two together when they went into the White Fang camp.

Blake went into full detail to explain what happened. She used to be a member of the White Fang, and was born into it as her father was the leader of the White Fang when the organization was peaceful.

Things changed for the worse and had to leave, people died, innocent people kept being murdered and humans started treating the Faunus better not out of respect but out of fear of what the White Fang would do unlike the old White Fang wanted was true equality and not terror.

Blake said she left for many reasons, one of them is that she decided that she didn't want her skills to aid their violent crusade, instead dedicating herself to be a huntress and protect others.

The teens continue talking as the police arrive, clearing any misunderstanding that was involved as Tony felt a huge relief but he would feel better when the Ice Queen did show up and things were good with her too.

Lo and behold she appeared with Yang, the two approached. Tony noticed that Weiss was irritated but not in a bad way per say, Ruby ran towards Weiss trying to keep things peaceful.

"Look weiss it's not what you think, she explained the whole thing you see. She doesn't actually wear a bow, she actually has kitty ears and they are actually kinda" Ruby approached Weiss while speed talking like if she was some kind of White Rapper with blond short hair talking how good he is about rappin.

Weiss ignored her partner as she moved closer to Blake, her expression not changing, staring daggers.

"Weiss, I want you to know that I'm no longer associated with the White Fang. Back when i was with-" Blake started talking but was stopped by Weiss.

"Stop. Do you have any idea how long we've been searching for you?" Weiss said sternly.

No one said anything and Blake looked a bit apologetic, Tony knew what Weiss meant by this and silently smiled.

"Twelve hours" Weiss stated "That means I've had twelve hours to think about this. And in those twelve hours I've decided…"

Everybody stood silent as they expected Weiss' answer. Weiss gave a small glance to Tony who just nodded in approval.

"I don't care!" Weiss said her answer, surprising the others of the team.

"You don't care?" Blake was really confused now.

"You said you're not one of them anymore right?" Weiss continued with her statement asking that question.

"No, I-i haven't been since i was younger" Blake said but was cut off again by Weiss.

"I don't wanna hear it" Weiss raise her hand making Blake stop talking "All i want to know is that next time something this big comes up…you'll come to your teammates and not some…someone else"

Weiss stared at Sun who was a bit nervous but this is what Tony wanted to hear and see, his friends finally reunited and cleared things up. Tony ignored the rest of what was said as he got himself in his thinking palace, now with time to analyze what happened earlier.

This woman in black, who is she? and why does it feel so nostalgic to see her? Tony deduced she knew him from before he lost his memories but she was a demon? What does that mean for him? maybe, just maybe she is the one that gave him these powers that are consuming him, transforming him.

But what about the warning she gave, about this higher demon who is looking for him? What side is she on? Tony had no answer for that but his gut was telling him something else that he didn't had time to think about earlier.

This demon is related to the horde and not the seven hells, this was the commander that was missing and probably was looking fro him as he defeated the horde…this would also mean that he is probably the master of Oran.

Tony delved further in his mind, connecting all the dots he could, all the evidence he had and confirmed that he had two cases that were unrelated to each other. The seven hell's seal being broken and the higher demon menace but his train of thought was shattered as the girls started dragging him.

"Tony, stop thinking and let's go" Yang said.

"Ah?" Tony asked as he saw the police was already going away "yeah, sorry, i was distracted"

"Only you could get so distracted Redgrave" Weiss deadpanned.

"Whatever you said Ice Queen" Tony shrugged.

"I missed this," Blake giggled.

"We all did," Ruby said as she smiled at each one of his friends.

Tony returned the smile and the two stared at each other, Yang was already smirking that the two got back into their own world, Blake just giggled and Weiss felt Jealous, but less than before…then it happened…

The girls fell to their knees, sweating and shaking while Tony fell into one knee slowly. Demonic energy raised, a lot of demonic energy and this wasn't like before as the girls and Tony felt the pure hatred, the unfiltered rage and the evil in that energy but Tony felt it worse by the second.

Tony fell completely, grabbing his head as this demonic energy was familiar. Tony had a hard time breathing, sweating profusely and his whole body shaking and then the voice came, a demonic voice filled with evil intentions.

"Dante…" The voice said as it started laughing.

Immediately Tony's scroll started ringing and picked it up.

"Redgrave, tell me I wasn't the only one that felt it and heard it" Said Glynda on the other side, her voice shaking and filled with fear.

Tony looked at the girls who were still shaking and gave Tony a confused look.

"No, we all did" The scared Tony said "Who is this Dante anyway?"

AUTOR NOTES

So, like i said in the beginning this chapter was a bit hard to finish as i had a lot going on my plate during these last weeks, also it's a beefy one. So, my thought process was…i gotta start making them realize that there is a Feeling between the two and i choose Nell to be the poor lady to be having to listen to the two, also stating that Tony is not ready for this yet but he is aware that he feels something while Ruby is just naive on this kind of things.

Second part is that I'm putting some plot into these demon encounters and about Tony getting stronger as he keeps unlocking his true power. That's the only reason why he could last and fight the horde, he is already getting stronger but not to the Overpowered level as he still got pretty injured.

Next is that Volume 1 is finished and we have two more chapters before we start Volume 2 and one of these chapters I am waiting to write as you guys can expect what is going to happen he he!

Honestly I thought of dividing this chapter in two parts but at the end i said…well fuck it! as i think it is better as one piece. Also i wasn't able to figure out where i could separate them anyway, so deal it with as i did (I yelled so much in frustration)

So, video games, Been playing GTA Online since they launched the new update that you can do biker stuff, CEO stuff and such in closed sessions so kinda enjoying it and driving around, believe me, I like driving in games quite a lot funny enough in GTA if someone has to drive anything they put me to drive cuz i'm the better driver in my friend's group, yeah i know, Humble brag but honestly…they can't stay in one lane and not crash into something, it's like they have a magnet to crashes and they actually drive in real life and i don't, it's like…COME ON! anyway stopping with the Rant

Also been thinking about playing ARK again on the new map, it seems fun but I need space on my pc.

About music, i left a little hint of what i've been listening in the story as a small wink *winks* in latino

So, sad to say but no Virgil in this chapter, don't worry, he'll be in the next one, I'll make sure of that.

You are reading my mind dude, that's totally the plan with Ruby going back and forward for some time and also, About the timeline. As I said in the rules chapter and a review that someone posted, The timeline in DMC is kinda weird so I'm modifying it so it's easier to go with the story that is being written here.

Gilver won't exist as he was kinda and kinda not retconned and i don't really see him fitting in this story as he is supposed to be Virgil or a Clone but Virgil hasn't been to the demon world yet, Like i said, it's a mess but i have a remplacement here planned that should fit the story more or so i believe. The story will play out but be modified.

If my memory serves me right, the death of Grue, Jessica and other characters who I'm sure everybody knows but i won't spoil it, death is on a close timeframe, i decided to separate them for a longer time frame. Hope this answers your question my dude.

To answer the question of Demons and Grimm being allies or enemies: They are not enemies but neither Allies, more like ocasional minions when needed as they could be used to help further their objectives, Demons see the Grimm about worthless trash that can be useful in certain moments.

And about these antagonists…oh yeah baby, they are going to be full on this. and totally, Playing Persona 5 Royale on pc will be my shit! can't wait till October dude.
