Chapter 12: Remember The Name.

Yang and Weiss.

Earlier that day, after saving Weiss from the male harassers, Yang found herself being consumed by guilt as she knows what she has done the day before. She told Weiss everything about Tony's feelings regarding his sister and Weiss and made her cry.

She knows that she is pretty straightforward and sometimes doesn't think before she acts, that her words sometimes leave her mouth before she has time to wonder about them. Yang knows better than anyone that she has hurt the heiress and this might be a problem, not only for her but for the team.

Yang had to apologize and smooth things out before they got worse. Yang found a moment alone with Weiss and dragged her to the tables, she was nervous, of course she was. She just went and broke her heart yesterday.

Yang also knew that she was being petty, she was hurting alone because she was also rejected by Tony and wanted someone to feel like her, she was selfish and a bad teammate but she had another reason to do it; doesn't wanted to see Weiss suffer a worse broken heart as time went on and her feelings grew bigger.

"Weiss…I'm sorry…" Yang said softly.

"What?" Weiss asked, a bit confused.

"I'm sorry about yesterday, i just went and made you cry, broke your heart" Yang lowered her head, rubbing her left arm with her hand.

"Well, you could have chosen your words and pace better" Weiss said, looking away from Yang "But it doesn't matter"

"Wait?" Yang raised her head looking directly at her teammate "You are not angry?"

"Oh, of course i am angry, i am fuming angry that you don't have a sliver of tact" Weiss stared at Yang with venom but then she smiled "But i know this was for the better"

"Still…i'm sorry, I have a mix of feelings about this. Tony also rejected me and I was direct with him but it hurts" Yang starts sobbing "Deep inside I didn't want you to hurt like me but I also didn't want to feel this pain alone…I'm sorry Weiss…I'm the biggest bitch for doing this…"

Unexpectedly for Yang, Weiss hugged her, she was expecting to be yelled at or slapped but instead she was being hugged. Yang felt warm despite being hugged by the Ice Queen herself, she felt safe and these two feelings made her stop crying.

"Why..?" Yang asked between hiccups.

"Because you are our friend and my friend" Weiss smiled "And I have to confess, I did tell our resident swordsman my feelings with a kiss expecting to sway him my way despite knowing where his heart lies"

"You stole a kiss from Tony?! Why didn't I think of that?!" Yang felt now stupid.

"He is good by the way, but I'm happy he rejected me in a way…means he won't hurt our dolt" Weiss smiled sadly "I just wonder if i ever find a man like him again"

"Hey! there is always Jaune" Yang said casually.

"Eww! Yang, don't be gross" Weiss deadpanned, Yang felt bad for Vomit boy "Well, whatever may happen, Tony Redgrave is a good person"

The two watched Tony playing with Nora, Jaune, Ren and Pyrrha with the beach ball, he was smiling with his friends from team JNPR until the ball hit Jaune's face. Tony first laughed then helped his friend, patting him on the back. The two girls couldn't agree more now, he was happy.

Tony Redgrave was a good person

Blake and Sun.

The two faunus were sitting by the corner of the pool, they were watching Tony floating around with his eyes closed. The two Faunus saw that the demon hunter was relaxed, not like he was in the last days.

"So, had a crush on him?" Sun asked.

"Yes, but now is in the past" Blake answered truthfully.

"How did that even happen?" Sun was curious.

"He didn't care about what i was or who i was" Blake closed her eyes remembering when he confronted her "No, that's a lie, he actually cares more than anyone for what i am, who i am"

"What do you mean? honestly it doesn't seem like he really cares" Sun wondered, Tony was a cool dude to be around and didn't mind him being a faunus.

"He doesn't care we are faunus, but he cares about us faunus, he said it himself" Blake smiled softly "He feels sick when he see us getting treated like we are, he actually saved Velvet from a bully, he was pissed and when the White Fang campment was attacked he was pissed that he couldn't save most people"

"Wow, He was already cool in my book but now he is even cooler" Sun smiled, his new friend was getting really good points.

Blake still remembers his frustration from that day, he blamed it on himself and the words he let on in the bulkhead, words he whispered to himself but she heard thanks to her enhanced hearing.

"Well, didn't expected you to like the rowdy, crazy, wisecracker type of guy" Sun chuckled "I mean, you are always so silent, serious and sarcastic"

"Maybe, but I like them like that for a change of pace" Blake didn't hide her smile while looking at Sun.

Tony was a crazy man, but he was crazy good and none minded, not even Weiss because he was the first in line to help anyone.

"And he isn't exactly human, I'm sure you felt it too, he is different, he smells like one but he also smells and feels different" Blake said.

"Yeah, i noticed that too, hard not to when you are a Faunus, but i cannot put my finger on what" Sun confirmed Blake suspicious.

"After spending time with him, i think i know what he is, He is human and something that isn't human" Blake frowned.

"Yeah, but does it matter? He is still him like Blake is Blake and Sun is Sun and everyone else is everyone else" Sun turned his face to see Blake with a smile that rivaled his namesake.

"You are right, Tony Redgrave is Tony" Blake smiled back.

Tony Redgrave was Tony after all.

Ren and Nora.

"Ren! I'm Hungry" Said a hungry Nora to her partner.

"I know, i am hungry too but we need to wait for the food to be cooked" Ren said like always with his serene voice.

"Who let Blake choose anyway?" Jaune groaned. Then he glared at Pyrrha.

Ren and Nora did the same, Pyrrha was the one that mentioned that they had good seafood in that stall and that sent Blake in a frenzy that no one has ever seen before. Yang and Tony had to calm her down, he even offered to buy the food as an apology.

"I'm sorry!" Pyrrha apologizes like she always doo

"Ah, doesn't matter now" Jaune just chuckles "Tony told you that you shouldn't apologize for that so don't worry Pyrrha"

"Sometimes I think Tony is too nice for his own good, he even gave me his notes and never asked to get them back" Nora said with her trademark playful smirk.

"Nora…he did ask, you just did not hear him while arm wrestling Yang" Ren facepalmed softly.

"Details Ren, details!" Nora waved her partner off.

"But i wouldn't say he is too nice" Pyrrha said interrupting the dynamic duo "When we fought i could feel his complete aggressiveness and his loneliness too"

"Yeah…i'm sure everybody can see his anger when he gets those red eyes and how lonely he is" Jaune lowered his head slowly.

Everybody had noticed that Tony is a social butterfly, always talking with people and making jokes but they saw how his eyes sometimes look like he is alone even when he is surrounded by them. They also have noted that look has diminished with time, everyday he spends with Team JNPR and RWBY his eyes change little by little.

Tony also was pretty protective of them, they remembered his expression when they found out when Cardin was bullying Jaune, when they followed him and found out that demons are real. Tony's eyes were scared of losing them.

"Tony…is kinda like me and Ren but he's been alone for a longer time" Nora's attitude changed from the sparky crazy girl to a somber tone.

"That's why we can't leave him alone, he is our friend" Pyrrha smiled

"Tony is family to our team" Ren said with a soft smile

"He is" Jaune smiled and stood up in front of his team.

"What's the plan now, fearless leader?!" Nora said with a grin.

"We make our family happy!" Jaune offered his fist to Nora to which she accepted doing a fist bump.

Tony Redgrave was Family

Ruby Rose.

Ruby watched as Tony climbed the ladder for the diving boards, it was tall and Tony wanted to make a big splash, she couldn't avoid giggling at his friend's excitement. But our Rose's mind was always coming back to two memories, the first one is the fight he had with the demon after the chase in the bike.

Ruby remembers that night well and thanks to her dear sister, she cannot forget how he held her, how safe he made her feel. "I'll protect you, okay?" She remembers those words and the power they had over her, feeling butterflies again in her stomach and now she remembers the other memory, the one that happened today.

Tony was angry, like really angry at those two guys who were harassing her. Ruby didn't want to admit it but she was a bit scared, two guys were hitting on her and annoying her. She isn't used to this type of thing and of course she could have dealt with them…if she had her baby crescent rose but she didn't.

"Get lost and don't and don't mess with my girl" Those words made her heart skip a beat for some reason, the butterflies came back even stronger than before and he blushed slightly. The young Rose didn't know what this feeling was but…it felt good, it made her happy.

Ruby knows Tony pretty well or she likes to believe that, she knows that he is a lonely person with a lot of issues, hurt by demons but his heart is always in the right place as he will do everything in his power to help others, Weiss, Yang, Blake, Jaune, everyone. Tony was strong but he had a soft side to himself, many would say that is a weakness but that isn't a weakness, it's another strength.

Ruby Rose knew that the man that was jumping from the diving board spinning at an incredible speed as he fell to the pool was someone she could trust and someone she would rely one, always.

"Tony…you are the best" She said to herself with a warm smile.

Tony Redgrave was the best

Sadly for everyone, this was the last day they'll see Tony Redgrave because soon Tony Redgrave is going to disappear and in his place, someone different would be standing, The son of a legend.

In the streets of the city of Vale.

Tony was running as fast as his legs could let him, his heart was in pain, he was worried and scared as the high pressure of the demon's presence tried to tire him down. Tony didn't stop, how could he stop if Nell was in danger? He can't stop, he couldn't stop, and he won't be stopped no matter what so he kept running with his friends chasing him behind.

The pillar of fire disappeared but he still could feel the demonic energy of the higher demon and not only that, he could feel smaller demons too that were waiting for him. Tony didn't care, he would kill the demons, all of them and protect Nell, protect what he cares about and this time…he isn't alone, he'll trust his friends who are training to be fighters, huntsmen.

The only saving grace of this was there were some other festivities and the streets were empty as most of the population was away in other places of the city, no witnesses for the hell's spawn.

Soon the group reached the streets of the residential district, they could see a bright light in the top of a building some blocks away, Team RWBY and Tony knew that the fire was from Nell's place.

"I guess this is it" Yang said, preparing Ember celica for the fight ahead, cracking her knuckles.

"Yeah" Tony drew his sword with his right hand and with his left he got one of his guns.

Tony turned around to face his friends, they all were ready with no single doubt in their eyes, fear yes but not doubt to fight by his side.

"I'll need your help and I won't lie, this will get ugly" Tony lowered his head "But i need your help, Will you guys help me?"

"We are with you" Ren said with a soft smile.

"You already know the answer, you idiot" Weiss smiled as she prepared to fight.

"Nora" Jaune said.

"Yes, fearless leader?" Nora grinned expecting the words she oh so wants to hear.

"Break some demon legs!" Jaune grinned with his teammate.

"Oh yes!" Nora prepared manghild in its hammer form.

"We got you back Tony" Blake nodded as she got ready too.

"I don't know what's happening but I'm in!" Sun spun his weapon.

"Right with you Tony" Ruby said, putting her hand on Tony's back.

Tony smiled, he had good friends, friends who'll stand by his side through thick and thin so he turned around, to see the demons spawning from small portals, marionettes, just trash. Tony grinned as he pointed at the enemy with his sword.

"Okay guys, you know the rules but in case you forgot, don't get hit, block with your weapon not your aura. These guys are just trash so you'll be having no trouble, you see something different then call for me, not taking any risk okay?" Tony says with a commanding voice to which everyone nods "Okay then, Let's rock!"

The battle started with Tony taking point, running, dragging his sword in the asphalt creating sparks along the way until he meets the first marionette, he immediately does an upward slash cutting it in two.

Following this attack, the rest of the group join Tony in battle. This time wasn't going to be like the last, this time they knew what they were fighting, no surprises and they have grown in terms of combat since the last time, these demons didn't stand a chance.

Jaune and Phyrra worked together as the vanguard, they had the better capabilities in terms of defense thanks to their shields. Two tanks in front, mowing down, well, mostly Pyrrha but Jaune has gotten better and is not afraid to cut down a demon.

Ren and Nora worked together not far behind the half of their team as Ren used his agility to do hit and runs, taking the heat of Nora who was wildly swinging her hammer breaking the marionettes to pieces with a grin, she did love breaking stuff after all.

Yang and Blake worked together, watching each other back. Blake used her weapon in its kusarigama mode to keep a distance from the demons and when one got too close she used her semblance, her clones to get the upper hand with a surprise attack. Yang on the other hand charged headfirst, punching and kicking every single demon that stood in her way and if one tried to get too close to her? she picked one thing from Tony's book, a shotgun blast would do the job.

Weiss and Ruby did what they did best, Ruby being excited and Weiss scolding her partner. Ruby used her speed to reap the demons with Crescent Rose while Weiss did more of a support role this time using dust to help her partner but it didn't mean she only did that. Weiss was a fighter, a warrior so if a demon stood in her way, she cut it down without mercy.

Tony worked with Sun as he was the least experienced in this field, only finding out about demons that same day but to his surprise, Sun was doing pretty well. The blonde faunus had a good balance between attack and defense with his weapon, spinning it around blocking attacks in his staff form and switching between the nunchaku mode and shooting around.

The two even got back to back, surrounded by the marionettes, Sun with his nunchucks and Tony with his shotgun, the two just grinned and spinned their weapons around like if it was a kung fu movie, needless to say that the Ruby and Yang thought this was the coolest thing ever while to others cringed slightly, Weiss almost died of cringe.

"Tony, lizard thing ahead!" Blake shouted out.

Tony turned around to see a blade, running in it's four feet towards them.

"I'll handle the crocodile!" Tony said with a smirk.

Tony launched himself towards the blade with the intention of making him lizard on a stick, or sword in this case. The blade stepped to the side and quickly got behind Tony as he planned. Tony quickly got his shotgun out and before the Blade could attack him, he aimed behind himself and blasted the demon away. The demon hunter turned around with a smirk while showing the blade the shotgun moving it slightly.

"Got some trick under my coat" Tony grinned as he stored the shotgun again "So, you gonna fight or just gonna get yourself flushed down the toilet again?"

With the taunting done, the blade charged against the demon hunter. steel met claws as Tony started deflecting the claws of the Blade until he sent it flying upwards with a well placed slash. Tony stuck his blade on the ground, getting his two guns out and started shooting the demon in the air making sure the blade doesn't get its berings. When the guns got empty he simply picked up his sword and stabbed the sky as the blade fell.

At the end of the day, he did make a lizard on a stick as the blade got impaled by his sword and with a swift move of his wrist and arm, the blade was sent flying against a car, poor car got smashed and covered in demon blood.

The battle continued as hunters in training and the demon hunter advanced in the street, it didn't mean that they were unharmed or weren't risky moments. Tony had to slow down more than once to protect his friends from being surrounded by demons or getting downright killed.

Not only that, Tony sure doesn't feel it but the demons have a special effect on mortals, they tire them down thanks to their demon energy, their negative emotions as hell isn't a pretty place and their dwellers aren't prettier either.

As soon as they arrived at the place, Tony could see that everyone was tired, not only their bodies but their minds too, they've seen shit thanks to the demons but they are alive, the dark bags under their eyes are now medals in his blue eyes.

"We have arrived but…" Weiss lowered her head.

"It's not looking good" Ren said narrowing his eyes

Our worried hunter turned and saw that the situation wasn't looking better, the whole building was on fire. his heart was beating faster than anything as he clenched his fist. Tony turned around to see his friends, with worry in his glance as he let his sword fall to the ground with his strength failing, everybody noticed he was not in a good place.

"Tony, get in, Sun and my team will stay here in case we get more demons, We'll hold them as much as we can!" Jaune said with a smile, he was scared but he needed to show his friend that he was here for him.

"We got this covered big T!" Nora says, earning Tony a new nickname and a small smile.

Tony nodded and went inside with Team RWBY. Dead bodies, yeah, that's the first thing they saw on the first floor that was pretty much burning whole. They started going up, worried about the girls and Tony grew bigger by each step of the stairs as the fire became stronger and stronger the higher they went up and the bodies they found were charred or in a bloody mess.

Soon they arrived at Nell's apartment, Tony tried to reach for the door but he stopped, he was shaking, the girls noticed that he was afraid, afraid that he was too late and lost someone again. The girls glanced at each other, determination and worry in their eyes, they nodded and took Tony's hand, giving him the support to push the door.

What they found surprised them. Nell was sitting on desk while the room was still on fire, she was working on some guns like there wasn't a fire or anything around her, fully focused on the guns.

"Nell!" Tony shouted.

"She's alive!" Yang said with relief

"Oh! finally arrived brat!" She said nonchalantly.

"Nell, you need to get out of here" He said with a worried tone with an underline of relief to see her still alive.

"The building is on fire, we need to get out of here" Ruby said.

"Oh, you are exaggerating" Nell smiled.

"Have you seen the fire outside the window?!" Weiss exclaimed, a bit annoyed.

"I'm pretty sure that means the building is on fire and we need to leave" Blake sounded a bit annoyed and worried by Nell's attitude.

"Shut up, it's nothing" Nell waved her hand lazily "We still have time and talking about time, Tony, get here and assemble the guns now"

"The hell you are talking about? We need to leave, now!" Tony started to get anxious.

"Just assemble the damn guns you brat!" Nell yelled.

Not seeing another way out, Tony sighed and did as he was told, walking over the desk he saw some gun parts, one silvery light and the other black. Tony started assembling the pieces with care before he yelled again, he noticed that the guns were heavy but well done.

One was for fast drawing as the other was for targeting, the components were fully custom made. The guns were a M1911 with custom rails with muzzle compressors, both had gold plated hammers, magazine releases, safety switches and even triggers were gold plated. The rails were reinforced and not only that, the inner workings were a masterpiece.

The handles, wooden made, had two portraits, a woman with dark hair in the black weapon and a blond woman in the silver weapon. He noticed that the guns were made for dual handling as the chamber releases were made on the opposite side but most important of all, the guns had an engraving in gold "Ebony & Ivory for Tony Redgrave by 45. Art Warks" She made them for him.

Nell Goldstein made two guns like any other just for him, Tony saw everything as he assembled them, they are a masterwork, Nell's masterwork for him.

"What do you think?" Nell said, sounding a bit weaker.

"They are beautiful" Tony said with a faint smile "Let's get out of here"

"Yeah, let's" Nell said, trying to stand up from her chair.

The short excitement grew into worry as Nell stood up and she started falling, Tony immediately grabbed her and everybody saw it…the big, bloody and deep cut she had on her back. Nell coughed blood as the girls winced, Ruby looking down, disappointed in herself while she started crying. Weiss covered her mouth as small tears started appearing in her blue eyes.

Yang was angry, was furious, they weren't fast enough, she wasn't fast enough, she just clenched her fists while her eyes flashed between red and lilac as tears ran through her face. Blake grabbed her left arm as she looked away. The girls didn't know Nell long but they liked her and she was really close to Tony and talking about him, he was pale as his hair but wasn't crying.

Tony, carefully let himself and Nell slide down by the wall, not caring if he gets blood on himself, he had her in his arms. Nell gave a good look at Tony, her ward, she remembered his smile and laughed internally as he had the same smile as her son.

"To…ny…" Nell said, raising her arm, caressing his cheek.

"I'm here Nell" He said softly.

"Li…ve…well…smi…le…like….Rock…" She said as she lowered her head.

Her eyes got heavy and started closing down slowly, she felt cold, really cold even though her apartment was burning. She knew that her time was up, she only wished she could spend more time with her sons, Rock, her biological son, who always supported her with gunsmithing, he was the light of her life.

Tony, her other son, one she didn't expect to appear in her life, a brat she loved even though he wasn't her blood, one that she wished could have done more for him but was happy to make him smile, fix his guns and leave her legacy in his hands. Her only regret was not adopting officially.

Nell's hand fell down as her eyes fully closed. Today, Nell Goldstein died in the arms of Tony Redgrave inside her burning apartment. Tony knew she was dead, a single tear rolled through his face as he stared into the void, this was it…isn't it? He failed again, he lost another mother in his life, he was powerless once again.

Anger, pain, sorrow, these feelings what was going through inside of Tony as he heard the girls sobbin and the fire cracking…like that night, the night his mother died all too similar, the night that the mother of Tony Redgrave died then it hit him, not like a thunder or a light…just like a lowly wind that couldn't push a single feather.

Tony closed his eyes, he remembers everything.

Many years ago, in the outskirts of Redgrave City.

Inside a burning mansion, a blonde woman, with a turtle neck black dress with gold trim details and a red shawl over her shoulders ran with a little boy, a kid with white hair. She was afraid, scared as she turned her head trying to find her other son, the other twin but to not any success. This was supposed to be the eight birthday to her beloved sons but instead, one of them was missing while she was being hunted down by the same creatures that swore vengeance against her husband.

This woman, Eva, had a priority, make sure her son was hidden and safe, then find her other son and hide him too with his brother. She did what she could do best and ran in a room but her boy fell, she quickly helped her child stand and there she saw it; a white wardrobe, big enough to hide a child. Eva quickly opened the doors of the wardrobe and put her son inside, grabbing soon after the doors.

"You need to hide Dante. No matter what happens, you mustn't leave!" Eva said with worry, then her head around after hearing some debris fall, then turning her head around to see her son "I need to find Vergil. I promise i'll be back"

She saw the expression on her son's face, he was scared, he was afraid of everything that was happening, she hated leaving him alone but she needed to find her other son. She quickly went in and grabbed her son's by the face with care and love.

"I know this is hard. You must listen to me. Be a big boy... A man, huh?" Eva said with a soft smile that was close to breaking as her son nodded understanding.

This was killing her, she didn't want to leave her son behind, any of them, she didn't want to worry him more than he was already was but deep inside, she knew what she had to say even thought it was going to break her heart

"If I don't return, you must run. By yourself, alone. You must change your name. Forget your past and start a new life as someone else... A new beginning" She said firmly, trying not to break into tears, she did what her son would last see as she closed the door, she smiled.

After closing the door with a heavy heart, she started running.

"Vergil?! Where are you Virgil?!" She shouted as she runned, trying to find her other son.

Dante, who was watching her mother leave through the slides of the wardobe's door, he couldn't see what happened next but he heard her mother scream in horror, then in pain as her life was being taken away and the demon, that damn demon who was killing her mother laughing…Dante was powerless as he cried inside the wardrobe in silence.

Dante did as his mother said, he didn't leave, he didn't make a sound, he stood there, feeling numb, his eight birthday…the day he lost his mother and brother thanks to demons. The days passed and he was losing himself until some people opened the wardrobe door, they were firemen and a woman in black who had tears in her eyes, humans and a demon.

Soon after Dante was rescued, he was put in an orphanage as his wounds healed as the woman, Nyx, demon who pledged herself to her father and mother as a servant watched from afar, afraid of drawing attention to the boy.

His home was gone, his mother was gone, his brother was gone, his childhood gone and none would come back as he quietly kept himself in the orphanage but the demons weren't gone, they stayed in his mind. Everynight was reliving that hellish night, Dante screamed and cried until…he couldn't anymore.

Dante found hope, as he was visited regularly by a hunter from Redgrave City named Anthony "Tony" Rouge, he wore a red jacket and always had a smile on his face, sometimes he was accompanied by a man named Qrow who smelled like alcohol even if he took a shower. Dante heard the stories from the hunters and slowly he started getting better, wishing he was like them.

The good days were soon gone again as the demons came back to finish the job they started, to eliminate the bloodline of the Dark Knight Sparda, his father. Anthony died, killed by the demons, the nuns from the orphanage eviscerated or used as sacrifices for more demons as the other kids were.

Dante stood still, in front of a demon, a higher demon who was laughing while flames engulfed it. Dante wasn't scared, oh no, he wasn't he was angry, he had a knife in his hand and was filled with demon blood. Dante was going to kill the demon in front of him until the woman in black, Nyx appeared from the shadows.

"Stay back you foul creature!" She shouted, her amber eyes burning as shadows appeared from her dress violently attacking the fire demon.

"Nyx, you damn traitor!" The demon said as he retreated "You cannot protect this kid forever. Soon we'll end the bloodline of that scum Sparda!"

"I said. Stay back or face your death, I won't let you hurt him!" She said as she threw an orb of darkness that collided with the fire creating an explosion.

After that, Tony traveled to another town with Nyx. Everybody was in danger thanks to him, thanks to his cursed blood, he needed to forget everything, forget his half demon side so it wouldn't raise any alarms to the demons and most importantly, he needed to be someone else.

"Nyx" Dante said.

"Yes young master?" She said softly.

"I need you to make me forget everything, who i am, what i am and leave me alone in another side of the world, far from here" Dante's tone was determined.

"But young master, doing that will weaken you!" Nyx said worriedly.

"I know but that means that I won't be attracting demons as i'm ignorant to my other half, i'll get stronger and i will get even" Dante give Nyx a glare she have seen before, the same glare that his father, Sparda gave her when he decided to fight the Emperor of Darkness himself.

"I…understand…I will cast a spell that will erase your memory but the nightmares will prevail, that i cannot remove young master" Nyx lowered her head, she was afraid of leaving Dante alone, it was dangerous "You will need a new name too as you'll forget everything, Lord Sparda, Lady Eva, young master Virgil, yourself"

"It is my choice, to protect everyone from me and for a name? already have one" Dante said as he took a small book, opening the first page she saw the name "Tony Redgrave, That will be my new name, my new beginning"

"As you wish" Nyx said, doing a small bow.

Soon the ritual was done, Nyx took the youngest son of sparda far away, to mistral, where she left the sleeping boy in an orphanage during the night.

"Take care young master…and i'm sorry i couldn't protect you and your family, i have failed you" She said as she left the boy now named as Tony Redgrave in front of the church, a case with the sword of his father and a letter.

Nyx knew that the spell wouldn't last forever as the demon inside him would grow but the best she could do is watch from afar, try to find a home for the boy where he could hone his skills.

Present day.

Tony…no, Dante remembered everything, his choice that in the end, was just a wrong one. He couldn't protect Nell from himself, from his cursed blood but this…was different, they wanted him dead, then they might as well try and kill him. Dante trained for years to get stronger, so he could protect what is important to him…he isn't a kid anymore, he'll kill the demons and get even.

Dante, didn't notice when he stopped crying, didn't matter to him really. He threw the mousers to Ruby and Weiss and stored the masterpieces on his holster. Dante stood up, carrying Nell on his arms as he started walking out of the room.

The girls saw his face, it was expressionless but his eyes, his blue eyes were full of rage but still blue, not red. Tony went down the stairs, the girls followed him, worried for his mental health as he didn't say a word to any of them.

As soon as they got out, Dante was surrounded by his other friends, looking at the body of Nell, they knew they were too late.

"Damn it…" Jaune said, gripping his sword.

"I'm sorry…" Pyrrha lowered her head as she put her hand over Jaune's shoulder.

"Damn it!" Nora shouted, frustrated, she knew this all too well as Ren just stared in silence.

"Dude…" Sun punched the ground "I hate this…"

Tony gently put Nell's body against a wall, he just gave glances to his friends, they didn't know what more to say; he didn't want them to say anything really.

"Tony…" Ruby said trying to get close but Dante stopped her with a hand gesture.

Dante got the guns out, giving them a good look again, they were beautiful, the best looking guns he has ever seen. The son of Sparda started spinning them around, getting a good feel of the guns, then he started aiming, posing as he was fighting with them and he knew…they were good as a grin creeped on his face as he felt the demons preparing an attack.

To everybody's surprise, Dante started shooting the guns at a high rate in multiple directions. It was loud, really loud and bright but what they didn't realize is that Dante just saved them from an ambush until they heard the demons drop to the cold ground.

"Guess the party isn't done yet" Dante said as kept shooting the demons without loading, he was using a different kind of ammunition now, he was using his own demon energy to make bullets.

Dante knew he was a halfbreed, born from a powerful devil and a human woman, he knew that he was stronger than most demons and that he had special abilities thanks to that. Better use them now. Dante smirked as he stored Ebony and Ivory back in their holsters.

"A masterpiece if i ever saw one" He smirked to then point his right hand to the sword making everyone stare at the sword.

They couldn't believe what was happening, the sword that their friend used started changing in front of their eyes. The handle got slightly longer with an ornamental design, with a circle of spikes in the end while the guard transformed too. Two skulls on each side, one human, the other with horns, a demon skull, both lead to rib cage that on each side had a long, thick bone while the blade started showing some damascus engraving, the human side engraving was lighter while the demon side was darker and easier to see.

The sword flew directly into Dante's hand, he used his telekinetic abilities, one of the most basic tricks in the demon's book, something he learned in his early age. Dante swung the sword around to then put it on his back.

"Okay big guy, I know you are here so why don't you show your face?" Dante shouted.

A pillar of fire appeared between the group, making them run to Dante's side, they heard laughing, the same laughing they heard before and the same demonic energy too, this was the higher demon. Soon the fire dissipated showing the true form of the demon. A big bulky body with four arms, long claws, dark black skin with bright orange scales that looked like armor.

The demon's head was square, covered in a hard orange scale with the top of it on fire, a single red eye in the middle of the head and no mouth, it's also good to mention that on the shoulders and knees there were some holes that were letting smoke out, this demon was ten feet tall, towering over Dante and everyone there.

"I found you…" The demon said with evil intent.

"You sure did, brick face" Dante joked as he turned his face to his friends "Guys, sit this one out and enjoy the show"

The group noticed the different attitude that Tony had, well, they didn't know that this isn't Tony anymore, not the one they know. Yang on the other side, recalled her fight with Tony, how after being injured he had the same attitude and started to believe that Tony broke completely.

"You jest? hilarious from a soon to be corpse" The demon laughed stretched his muscles

"Oh, really?" Dante faked being worried for a second then turning into a smirking once again "I would like to see you try but come on, don't burn out too soon on me buddy"

"You have run for a long time from us with your cursed blood but today I, Volcano will finally kill you, now die!" The demon now known as Volcano shouted with anger.

Volcano threw two punches with his right arms to where Dante was standing, he just simply stepped to the side slightly, avoiding the attack completely, it was slow. Dante chuckled then kicked the demon in the chest with a jump sending him back sliding.

"I think your aim is a bit off, might need to get your eye checked buddy" Dante mocked the demon.

"You are stronger, but it matters not!" Volcano roared.

Volcano upper left hand caught in flames, he then proceeded to throw the flames to Dante in the form of a fireball. The hunters in training were caught by surprise, the demon actually summoned fire from his hand, no dust or anything but they were soon surprised again as their friend turned around and did a Pele kick to the fireball sending it back to the demon like it was just a ball.

"Come on matchstick, is that the best you can do?" Dante said with disappointment in his voice.

"Damn you! stop playing around you Half-" Volcano started saying but his words were cut short by Dante shooting him with Ebony.

"Man, chill out" Dante waved his hand lazily "Maybe I should ask little ice queen over there to freeze you a bit"

"Hey!" Weiss exclaimed, a bit offended by Dante's comment.

Dante got his other gun out and started shooting, hitting Volcano multiple times but the demon didn't care as he rushed, throwing another double punch to Dante. The son of Sparda saw the attack from miles away so he just jumped on top of the arms of the demon and started running while shooting until he reached Volcano's shoulders and kicked the demon in the face, dropping it to the ground.

"Man, i thought you had more balance, that's why you never skip leg day" Dante started mimicking running as he mocked the demon.

"Laugh while you can'' The demon stood up and started attacking again with its claws, trying to cut Dante.

"You know, with that fire and sharp claws" Dante started mocking the demon more as he dodged the "You could open up a grill restaurant, no need to use dust to heat the food or buy knives or anything, you can do it yourself, i'm sure you'll make a killing!"

"Silence!" Volcano roared again as his fire grew bigger.

"Only problem is your attitude, you know, you are a hothead, that will turn off the clientele" Dante snickered as he continued dodging "Like i said, you need to chill out. Oh! I know what would do you good, a motivational speaker would help you with this issue!"

Volcano lost it once again and did a sloppy attack, Dante just laughed as he blocked with his Royal Guard and immediately released it, sending the demon flying in pain.

"I actually know some that could help you, I can give you their contact" Dante continued mocking the downed demon.

"Shut up!" Volcano stood up as the holes in his knees and shoulders started expeling fire, he was pissed "I'll kill you like I killed that woman, I'll make you scream like when I broke your mother's bones before I killed her!"

In this moment, everybody froze, this wasn't a normal Higher demon, no, this was the demon who attacked Dante when he was a kid, the one who killed his mother. The group stepped back as they felt a chill running down their spine as they could feel the killing intent coming from their friend.

"Guess I should start thanking you for saving me the trouble of finding you" Dante said as he stored his guns and drew his sword, his tone was stern.

To their surprise the woman in black appeared from the shadows, throwing two orbs of darkness against Volcano, a big explosion happens and Dante doesn't seem to be happy about it.

"I should have guessed it was you Volcano" Nyx spat venom with her words.

"You damn traitor, I shall kill you as well!" Volcano roared as he regained his bearings as the two demons got ready for a fight.

"Nyx!" Dante said with a stern tone stopping the woman.

"You…remembered my name…you got your memories back" Nyx said, a sad smile creeped into her face.

"Yeah, but this is my fight, protect them while I take care of this dying candle" Dante smirked.

"Of course young master" Nyx did a small bow.

The hunters in training were now really surprised, Tony and Nyx knew each other, they were actually quite close by how they addressed each other but that was just a sliver of what they had in their minds as the elephant in the room was simple to see, Tony got his memories back.

Then it hit them like a truck, the person they had in front of them wasn't Tony anymore, he was cocky, stronger, confident. His attitude was similar but enough to notice the differences, the first sign was that Tony was scared of the idea of a higher demon but now, he is mocking the one that's in front of him like it was just tuesday.

What else changed? they didn't know yet but they were afraid what else changed, will he look at them the same way? They were afraid that today was the last time they would see Tony Redgrave.

"Okay buddy, now that we got everything out of the way, how about we continue this show?" Dante said, pointing his sword to his foe.

"I agree, time to die!" Volcano roared once again, igniting the flames in his body once again.

The son of Sparda and the fire demon dashed at each other clashing claws against steel immediately. Dante knew that Volcano had the upper hand thanks to his extra arms so he did the only sane thing to do, cut them off. Dante deflected his extra left arm with his sword to then cut it off with a simple move of the wrist, making the sword swing violently, blood started spilling around as the demon screamed in pain and stepped back creating distance between the two.

Volcano was even more pissed than before, this halfbreed scum just cut one of his arms. Volcano stretched his remaining arms in front of him as the fire engulfed him and launched himself at Dante, spinning like he was a drill that was on fire.

To say that Dante expected this would be a stretch but he didn't care really, he put his sword in front of him with his left hand grabbing the blade to have more support. The fire drill hit the sword and Dante was being pushed back, slowly sliding back but he was holding his own. Any blade would have broken by now but this was a blade made by Sparda meaning that it isn't a normal blade.

Dante with all his strength pushed his sword to the side changing the direction of the fire drill sending Volcano against some buildings, luckily no one was inside them. Volcano continues drilling his way out of the buildings attacking Dante again, he just jumps avoiding the attack letting the demon go to another set of buildings.

Another drill attack was coming Dante's way so our halfbreed decided to stop avoiding the attack and give baseball a go. Dante aimed his sword at the demon with a smirk on his face and like if he was a professional baseball player, he batted away against the drill, with the edge of his sword hitting the demon spinning arms.

Volcano was surprised by two things, first the pain he was feeling wasn't normal and second, Dante's strength was way stronger than his own as his drill attack was stopped immediately and he was sent flying, his arm nearly destroyed by Dante's attack.

"Heh, if this hunting gig doesn't work maybe i'll get a career in a baseball team don't ya think guys?" Dante joked while turning around to see his friends who just nodded slowly.

"Shut the damn up you bastard!" Volcano stood up, fuming that he was getting bested by the halfbreed in front of him "I won't lose to trash like you, I am Volcano, one of the Lieutenant of Lord Mundus!"

"Then he needs to start picking his pawns better" Dante scoffed after hearing the name Mundus.

"Die damn it!" Volcano summoned seven fire orbs around him and threw them.

Dante got Ebony and Ivory out again, shooting the fire orbs, each one exploded making everyone cover their eyes by the light it produced. Blake, being the more perceptive of them all, noticed something that confirmed her theory.

What was Blake theory? Tony wasn't human or at least not fully human, his strength, his smell was similar to the one of demons and after the demon started saying word half, Tony shut it up with a bullet, Blake knew he didn't want the demon to say the word that was next. The demon mentioned he was looking for some Dante guy too, then it said he found it referring to Tony and to add more weight to her theory, he was a servant from Mundus, the same demon defeated by Sparda.

Blake minds started connecting dots, why end the bloodline of a human? unless he isn't fully human, a half breed between a demon and a human and the cursed bloodline? must be Sparda, the shadow just confirmed her theory as it didn't look human as he shooted the orbs, each shot transformed the shadow into a humanoid form with what looked like wings in its lower back.

Volcano seemed tired, he didn't expect that the son of sparda would be this strong. He was just a half breed and nothing else, how could he be so strong?

"How can you be so strong, you are just trash"

"Maybe, but you are underestimating humans and Faunus after all" Dante grinned as he started shooting one of his arms off with the gun twins. "Yeah, Humans and Faunus doesn't have the physical strength of a demon or resistance, nor they have all this magical power that demons have"

"Damn you, stop it!" Volcano screamed in pain.

"But Humans and Faunus have something that most demon's doesn't have, heart" Dante stopped shooting but kept aiming, his hands started glowing red "Now my friend, is time for your death and after you get into the afterlife, tell them to make some room"

"No, don't do it, I beg you!" Volcano now felt something he has not felt in a long time, fear.

"Jackpot!" Dante said with a smile and pulled the trigger.

The twin guns shot two bullets, filled with his demon power that left a trail of red, these two bullets seemed to get closer to each other as they traveled, everybody could feel the raw power of the shot but Volcano felt it first hand. The bullets hit and the pain couldn't be put in words, Volcano started screaming, revolging in pain falling to the ground, dead, soon after the demon exploded putting an end to this higher demon who failed on its task to kill the son of Sparda.

Dante store the twin guns in their holsters and sighed, things have changed now, he remembers who he is, what he is and that demons will try and find a way to kill him, not that they'll succeed anyway but he was worried, his friends, Team RWBY, JNPR, Sun, everyone in Beacon would be in danger thanks to him. Dante thought of leaving but that would mean that he is running again from this and not only that, Beacon was his home now, he had friends and someone he liked-liked to quote Nora's words

This was going to be the hardest choice now, do he tell them what he is, who his father is or just shrug it off. He was afraid of their reaction, afraid of being rejected and afraid of being left alone once again.

"Tony…?" He heard the voice of Ruby who was walking closer with the whole group.

"Tony, you okay?" Jaune asked afraid.

"I'm not Tony Redgrave" Dante started, making his friends face go pale, he just smirked "That's just a name i used when i forgot everything. I will explain everything but not here"

"So how should we call you now?" Blake asked, a bit weary of this man, she felt bad feeling like this but she wasn't sure if he was a friend or a new foe.

"My name is Dante" Dante answered her question.

With that said, Tony Redgrave was no more or better, he became whole again as he went back to himself becoming Dante, The son of Sparda.

AUTOR NOTES.

So, we finally reached this chapter, the one that I was waiting for oh so long, Tony being Dante now hehehehehehehhahahahahahahahahaahhahajsaolsfasafa anyway, as you can see, no Gilver but instead I created Volcano, a fire demon, why fire? cuz i like fire and it would make sense, at least in my mind, that a fire demon would burn the mansion and Nell's place.

The mystery of the memory loss is also solved now, He did it himself with the help of Nyx to avoid more deaths, to escape his own nature and everything, it worked like a seal, that's why i meant mind over matter, he didn't knew he had demon powers or strength so he couldn't use all his abilities to a 100% but the spell meant that one day it would weaken and he would start awakening this powers, it was a matter of time until it broke itself, the trauma he just relieved just did the process faster.

Dante is now a power house in every right of the word, he has all his strength now, well, almost all his strength as his demon side is still dormant but we basically have DMC3 Dante, aware of his power but still dormant instead of forgotten. We also have the Faunus notice that Dante is different thanks to their enhanced senses and Blake puting two and two together.

Now, we have Nyx, don't worry, i'll flesh out her backstory a bit but now, i'll have a bit of a problem, do i make Dante spill the beans of his nature or make him keep it not secret but hidden until later on the story, i still have time to think but anyway.

I was expecting this chapter to take longer to write buuuuuut i got free time thanks to a couple things, next chapter might take longer as things got pushed, hopefully it won't be that long and we can get into now what will happen in the plot now, the main plot.

Spanish: Oh si, quería darle como un pequeño origen a Nero y tambien un poco de humanidad en Vergil y como se siente estupido al dejar que sus hormonas tomen el control, ah y bueno, que Virgil aún tiene un poco de humanidad dentro de él, aunque es muy mínima. Y si, Yang fue muy directa, tomemoslo como primero tenía la prioridad de hermana mayor y falta de tacto, entre otras cosas que estan explicadas en este capítulo, fue un mal movimiento ya que pudo haberlo hecho mejor.

English: Oh yeah, i wanted to give Nero like an actual origin and also give a small humanity to Virgil and him feeling stupid about letting his human hormones win over him, and of course, to show that virgil still has humanity deep down inside of him, even tho is really the bare minimun. Yes, Yang was pretty much direct with what she said, being big sister Yang and her lack of tact that i noticed from her from time to time and other things that are explained in this chapter, it was a bad move as she could have said things better.

Thanks once again for enjoying the chapter, now. to answer your question of about other worlds Dante would fit aside from RWBY…in my personal opinion he would fit well in any world that has action, Warhammer would be good, specially that also has demons on it and would work well it Sparda being a chaos demon that actually was different and rebelled against its brothers. we can also say that Dante would fit well in any of the Shin Megami Tensei worlds, wait, he was actually in one! so in the persona series, His Persona would be his devil trigger really.

Hell, Dante would fit in any of the DC and Marvel comic worlds too as they have demons too and heroes. Doom too, I kinda want to see how Doom Guy and Dante would interact, probably doom guy would try to kill Dante then work together? I dunno but it's fun to think. Dante in any of the SoulsBorne games would fit well too, the Metal Gear world too (BY HIDEO KOJIMA!) would be a good place too knowing it also has supernatural stuff (MADE BY HIDEO KOJIMA!) By the way, I love the MSG series, especially the third game, such a masterpiece!. The main problem with Dante in any world is that he would be way too OP in most cases, i mean, It's Dante of course he would be. Now I ask you the same question, which worlds would he fit?

To answer your second question. Redgrave City, where is located? close to Argus in mistral, at first i wanted Atlas but nah, i like mistral a bit more, it would also explain where his father would have gotten the idea for the Yamato.

Erick: Nah dude, don't sweat it, i know pretty well that i cannot please everyone and i get you about Fandoms, they can get really toxic, never been in one anyway but i just wanted to make a paring that i liked, i just couldn't choose myself really so i wanted everyone who read it make the choice, a bit of interaction between reader and me. Also, it was a close one, like 1 point away from being Weiss i believe (could be a bit more) and yeah, opposites attract each other but i wanted to make everyone make the choice with voting.

Buuuut I am planning to make Omakes of what would have been the relationship of Dante and Weiss if she had won because the story would change in some aspects. I'm glad you are still going to read it and I like that you are a tough customer, meaning that you will call me out if something doesn't make sense or something doesn't work and make me write better.
