The Bet Part 1:
Fred looked around, the sky desolate. The ninjas were upon him, but they were no match for his awesome power. He jumped and kicked on of them in the face, knowing where the person would be before they were there. Several more attacked him, but he easily took them out.
He stood in a pile of unconscious bodies, looking around. Now, it was time to face his nemesis…
Tadashi Hamada.
"Fred… Fred! Fred!" –
Fred awoke with a jolt. "What?" He whined, looking around the room with bleary eyes.
"You're on my papers," Tadashi said, poking the teen. Fred had spent three consecutive nights staying up to grade papers for the professor and the lack of sleep had taken its toll.
"Fight me," Fred yawned, stretching and getting up for the other. Tadashi snorted, shaking his head.
"You wouldn't want to do that," Tadashi retorted, grabbing the papers that Fred had been using as a pillow.
"Why not? I would win," Fred replied. He said it so matter-of-factly that Tadashi had to pause in the gathering of his papers. There wasn't the usual sarcasm or ego in Fred's statement – Fred was too tired for that at the moment. He was just stating what he believed.
"… You seriously believe that?"
"I would bet my mint-condition-first-addition of Sleepwalker versus 8-Ball on it." Tadashi blinked at this.
"Is that a bet?" Tadashi asked, raising an eyebrow and smirking a little bit. Fred nodded.
"Just because I like science and I came here to be a lab rat doesn't mean that I'm not physically fit. I'm an English major… that doesn't help anything actually why did I mention that?" Fred yawned again, getting up. Gogo, who had overheard the conversation stepped in.
"The bet's on, what are you betting, Tadashi?" She asked. He was going to protest, but instead he just submitted to her.
"I'll bet Baymax's chip. Are we on tomorrow, Fred?"
"You bet we are, Hamada – hey, I had a bag of Cheetos, has anyone see it?"
And so, it was on.
