Soooo hey ya'll! I know it's been a good long while since I posted and I sincerely apologize for that but sometimes life gets in the way. I will definitely try not to go on another long $$ hiatus. Anywayz I'm trying to get back into the swing of things so here's a new chapter and I really hope you guys like it.

Every nerve ending in Olivia's body was buzzing. She was standing in the lab with Huck and Abby on either side of her watching the thermonuclear harness hum and buzz as it harnessed power by nuclear fusion. It had been twenty minutes and the contraption was still working. The metal they had fused together was holding with no sign of breaking down or melting. It was scientific history in the making and Olivia was in an extreme state of awe and rapture. They had done it.

Olivia turned to face Huck and Abby. "We did it!" she exclaimed and threw her arms around their necks. "The harness is working. Guys, we're harnessing nuclear reactive power."

Abby squealed out her glee and Olivia could have sworn she saw Huck smile.

"So what's next, Liv? This is a major breakthrough in science. Every thermonuclear scientist is working on this and we figured it out. We need to get it out there first." Abby said her face flush with excitement.

"I know but I haven't heard anything about anyone being even close to figuring it out so we should be good. But I agree we have to get it out there as soon as possible." Olivia paused in thought then said, "I'll talk to Fitz – tell him about the harness. He'll want to launch it right away."

"Fitz?" Abby said her face scrunched into a feigned look of confusion.

Olivia shot Abby a look of reproach then said, "Find Harrison and catch him up."

"Sure," Abby said with a smirk then headed for the door.

"Liv," Huck called out.

Olivia turned to face him.

"I knew this day would come," Huck said his face shinning with pride.

Olivia smiled. Huck had put in the most time on the harness so really she owed much of the success to him. Olivia walked over and placed her hands on Huck's shoulders. "Thank you," said looking him directly in the eyes. "This wouldn't be possible without you. You know that, right?"

Huck just smiled. "We're a team, Liv."

"I know," Olivia said then squeezed his shoulder.

It was well past midnight when Olivia finally left the office. She thought about going over to Fitz's but changed her mind given how late it was and quite honestly she was exhausted. She would just have to talk to him in the morning.

It was six-thirty in the morning and Olivia stood leaning against her desk, cell phone in hand as she stared out her office door. She tapped her foot impatiently as she waited for Fitz to arrive. He usually arrived around six but he had yet to make an appearance. She wished he would hurry. She was eager to tell him about the thermonuclear harness and not to mention she missed him something terrible. Not seeing him last night affected her more then she wanted to admit.

Olivia heard footsteps coming down the hall and raced to her office door. She stuck her head out just as Fitz neared her door. "Hi," Olivia said.

Startled, Fitz jumped back then chuckled. "Hi, Olivia." He said.

"You got a minute?"

"Of course, my office," Fitz said then proceeded to his office.

Olivia followed behind him and closed the door. "I have some exciting news."

Fitz set down his computer bag then pulled Olivia into his arms and captured her mouth with his. She had worked late last night so he didn't get to see her and he was craving her taste. Fitz kissed her deeply – thoroughly before staring down into her large brown eyes which he noticed were brimmed with excitement.

Fitz searched her face. She was glowing. Fitz tightened his arms around her molding her body to his. He smiled down at her and asked, "So what's this exciting news you want to tell me about?"

She was all smiles when she said, "My team has been working on a very daring project for a couple of years now."

"Okay."

"It's huge really. A scientific breakthrough – it's going to make history."

Fitz was intrigued. "Well spill it. What is it?"

"It's a device to harness thermonuclear power."

"What?" Fitz asked his face scrunched in disbelief.

"We created a device that harnesses thermonuclear power," Olivia repeated.

"No, I heard you. I just…this is incredible. Are you serious?"

Olivia nodded. "Very.

Fitz leaned back and stared down and Olivia in disbelief. "You built a device that harnesses thermonuclear power?"

"Yes."

"And it works?"

"Yes, and I want to kick off the merger by launching it as our first product."

Fitz stared down at Olivia not saying anything. He was trying to process what she was saying. Scientists all over the world have been trying to harness thermonuclear power for ages with no success and here she was telling him that her team had figured out how to do it. It was unbelievable. He had to see it for himself.

"Show me," Fitz said.

"Now?"

"Now."

"Okay. Come on," Olivia said and led him down to the lab.

Surprisingly the lab was dark when they arrived. Olivia figured Huck would be there but to her surprise he wasn't.

Olivia led Fitz to the back of the lab. In the far corner was this big metal contraption connected to a bunch of wires and tubes.

Olivia handed Fitz a pair of goggles. "Put these on."

Fitz did as instructed then watched as Olivia lifted the plastic covering a large red button. As soon as she pushed the button the machine came to life. There was buzzing and whirring and other noises that Fitz couldn't name if he wanted to.

Fitz watched in disbelief as the machine harnessed thermonuclear power. He could not believe what he was seeing.

"This is incredible," he whispered.

"I know, right."

Finally Fitz turned to Olivia, "Do you know what you have here," he stated rather than asked. "Have you told anyone about this?"

"No, only you. Well of course Abby, Huck, and Harrison know about it too."

"Good. That's good. We have to be very careful to keep this under wraps until we launch it."

"I know which is what I wanted to talk to you about." Fitz didn't say anything so Olivia continued. "I think we need to move fast on this. There are so many scientists working day and night to figure out how to do this and maybe one of them is on the verge of doing so but we just happen to figure it out quicker. I don't want to wait and have some other company beat us to the punch."

Fitz thought about that. She was right. They couldn't wait too long but he also knew that product placement and launch was everything. He wanted to get the harness out there as quickly as possible but it couldn't pre-empt the enhanced thermonuclear reactor. If they launched the harness first people would no longer care about the enhanced reactor. No, they had to move forward with plans to launch the reactor then they would follow-up with the harness.

"Fitz?"

Olivia's voice floated across the small space between them pulling him out of thought. "I agree the faster we get the harness out there the better but we cannot push it out before the enhanced reactor."

"Fitz this is time critical. We've figured out how to harness thermonuclear power. We cannot sit on something like this."

"I know but Liv if we launch with this and then try and push the enhanced reactor we're going to end up losing on the enhanced reactor. Nobody's going to be thinking about a reactor when they can get a thermonuclear harness."

Olivia heard what Fitz was saying but her mind wouldn't let it register. She was far too caught up in the excitement of what they'd achieved. "But Fitz," Olivia started to argue just as the lab door swung open and Abby and Huck walked in.

They stopped short startled to see Olivia and Fitz.

"Good Morning!" Abby said with a smirk. "Didn't expect to walk in and find you two here."

Olivia fixed her gaze on Abby and gave her a look that said don't start.

"Good Morning Abby," Fitz said then turned to Huck. "Huck," he said and reached out to shake his hand.

Huck stared at Fitz's hand for a moment then grabbed it, gave it a quick shake then just as quickly he released it. "Morning Liv," Huck said then made his way to his work station.

"So I guess congratulations are in order," Fitz said. "You guys have created history here.

"We certainly have Mr. Grant," Abby said a smug look on her face.

"Fitz, please call me Fitz."

"I'm not comfortable with that so I'll just call you Mr. Grant," Abby said then headed to her work station.

Olivia shook her head at Abby. She thought it best to get Fitz out of there before Abby really got going.

"We should head out," Olivia said to Fitz. "Let these guys get to work."

Fitz nodded and headed towards the door. "Abby, Huck – good to see you both. And congrats again." he called over his shoulder.

Olivia followed Fitz to his office. "We need to talk about the harness," she said. "Fitz, I really think that we need to…" her sentence was muffled as Fitz walked over and pressed his lips to hers. All thought escaped her mind as she got lost in the kiss.

Olivia stared up at the ceiling. The room was dark and quiet except for the low steady sound of Fitz breathing as he slept. They had come back to his place after work. Fitz made her dinner then they had made love all over his condo. They'd spoke only briefly of the thermonuclear harness. It seemed that Fitz was fixed on his decision to launch the enhanced reactor first, which was why Olivia was laying awake staring at the ceiling. The thermonuclear harness had to be the greatest invention since fire and her boyfriend was stalling in releasing it to the world.

Olivia stopped short. Did she just call him her boyfriend? She hadn't had a boyfriend in ages and she and Fitz had never discussed their status. Somehow though, she liked the sound of it – Fitz as her boyfriend. The thought of it did something to her. She felt her body heat up and the nub between her legs throbbed. Olivia turned onto her side facing Fitz. She reached out and slowly trailed her fingers down his chest, over his stomach then beneath the covers that lay across his waist. Her fingers found his cock and encircled it. Immediately his shaft jumped to life and twitched in her hand. Slowly she shifted her hand up and down gently squeezing when she reached the base.

Fitz shifted in his sleep and a small moan of pleasure escaped his mouth.

Olivia continued stroking him as she rose up and straddled him. He was hard as a rock now and as tempted as she was to slide down onto his stiff member, she didn't. Instead she lay it against his pelvis then ground her hips down onto it. Back and forth she rocked against him. Juices flowed from her making him slick.

Fitz's eyes slid open already clouded with lust. "Mmmm," he moaned then grabbed her hips and rolled his pelvis against hers.

Olivia smiled then leaned down and traced her tongue around his mouth before pressing her tongue between his lips and darting inside. She worked her hips back and forth. The feel of his thick shaft rubbing against her clit was euphoric. Faster and faster she moved against him. She stared down between her thighs and watched as his thick, pink cock disappeared between her folds as she slid against him. The view made her shudder and she felt the tiniest of tingles start in the pit of her belly.

"Fitz," she moaned out.

"Baby, you're gonna make me cum if you keep it up."

Olivia kept moving against him as if she hadn't heard what he said.

Fitz was so hard that it was almost painful. He needed to get inside her. "Livvy, let me get a condom," Fitz said reaching for the nightstand.

Olivia grabbed his wrist and brought it above his head. She tightened her fingers around his wrist and held it in place.

"Livvy, what…"

Olivia pressed her lips to his effectively cutting off whatever he was about to say. Back and forth she slid rubbing her clit from the base of his manhood to the tip. Over and over – faster and faster she moved until she felt it. A life stealing orgasm that started at her toes, travelled up her thighs and settled between her legs.

Fitz felt as if he was on fire. He wasn't even inside of her and he was seconds away from exploding. He watched as she rode him with reckless abandon. Her breasts bounced and jiggled as she moved and he reached out with his free hand and ran his fingertips across her nipples. A few more strokes and he would come undone. And he did as she moved faster and faster above him. His toes curled, his legs locked and he pulled his bottom lip between his teeth as he succumbed and his seed jetted out onto his stomach. At the same moment Fitz felt Olivia's thighs tighten around him and knew she had reached her peak as well. He stared up at her in awe. There was nothing more beautiful than seeing Olivia cum.

"I can't keep letting you feed me like this. I'll get fat," Olivia said as she sat her fork on her empty plate. Fitz had made omelets for breakfast with a side of bacon and fresh squeezed juice.

Fitz chuckled. "Somehow I get the feeling that if I didn't feed you, Olivia Pope, you wouldn't eat."

It was her turn to chuckle. He was right. Her diet consisted mostly of coffee. "There might be some truth to what you say."

"Mmmhmmm," Fitz said as he got up from the table. He grabbed their empty plates and headed for the dishwasher.

"Fitz."

"Yes."

"So we should talk about the thermonuclear harness."

"Okay,"

"I know you want to wait to launch it but I really think that we shouldn't sit on this. Fitz, this thermonuclear reactor is the future."

Fitz turned and faced her. "Liv, I know it's the future. I just want to be sure we launch it in the right way and at the right time."

"The time is now, Fitz."

"I don't disagree that we need to get it out there. I want to get it out there, Liv. I just want to launch the enhanced reactor first. Launching the harness will completely eclipse the enhanced reactor and we'll lose money. If we do it my way and launch the enhanced reactor and then follow-up with the harness we'll have two major cash cows on our hands."

Olivia though about what Fitz was saying and he wasn't wrong she was just really eager to get the harness out there. "But Fitz…"

"Olivia," Fitz interrupted. "I'm not changing my mind on this. We're launching the enhanced reactor first then we'll we push the harness."

Olivia sighed in frustration. Her brow furrowing as she frowned up at him.

Fitz chuckled at the pouty look on her face. She was so cute when she pouted. He walked over and wrapped her in his arms. "I don't want to fight with you about this, Livvy."

"We're not fighting. We're having a discussion."

"Okay, then I don't want to have this discussion."

"But Fitz…"

"Olivia," Fitz said her name coming out a bit harsh. "We're not discussing this."

Olivia's head snapped back and her face clouded with anger edged in hurt at the tone he was taking with her. She disentangled herself from his embrace. "Fine," she snapped.

"Liv, I'm sorry," Fitz apologized. He hadn't meant for his words to come out so harshly.

"It's fine," Olivia said as she headed out the kitchen.

"Where are you going?"

"It's getting late. I need to go home and change and get to work. I should have been there by now."

"Hey," Fitz said as he reached out and caught her by the waist. He pulled her back flush against his front. He pressed his lips to her ear and whispered. "Don't be upset with me."

"I'm not," she said but Fitz could tell that she was from the stiffness of her body as he held her in his arms.

Fitz spun her around so she was facing him only she kept her eyes down and refused to look at him. The last thing he wanted to do was upset her. But this thing with the harness was becoming a major point of contention for them. He didn't understand how she could not see that launching the harness first would cause a major loss in value to the enhanced reactor.

"Will you look at me?" Fitz said his voice gentle.

Olivia tilted her chin but her eyes looked past him.

"Livvy, please..."

Fitz was right. Olivia was upset. She was upset that he wouldn't budge on the harness and she was upset at the hard tone he had taken with her. But she heard the need in his voice – the longing and though she didn't want it to - something in her softened. She inhaled deeply and slowly lifted her gaze to look at him.

"The last thing I want to do is upset you and I definitely don't want you storming out of here mad at me. I'm sorry that we don't agree on the release of the harness but you have to trust me on this. Launching the harness first will be bad for the enhanced reactor. I've made up my mind on this and I'm not changing it." Fitz paused and ran his fingers through her hair letting the silky strands pass through his fingers. "I don't want this to cause a problem in our relationship."

"And what is our relationship, Fitz?"Olivia asked.

Fitz's own brow furrowed and he looked at her as if he couldn't believe that she didn't know what they were - what she meant to him. As if she had no idea how she had impacted his life the moment she breezed into the conference room like the sun breaking through clouds after a long rain.

Then it occurred to him that they had never talked about what they were to each other. He never felt the need to have "the discussion". All he knew was that from the moment he laid eyes on her he was hers. He belonged to her. And from that moment he was completely and utterly wrapped up in Olivia Pope and he wouldn't have it no other way.

Fitz stared deeply into Olivia's eyes. "You're everything to me," Fitz whispered. "I've never met anyone like you, Olivia. You're smart, funny, beautiful, and sexy as all hell. You make me feel things that I've never felt about any woman in my entire life. I think about you constantly – when I wake up in the morning and when I go to sleep at night. Olivia, I'm yours. I belong to you. You're all I want."

Olivia felt as if her heart would burst through her chest. "You're all I want," she said her voice thick with emotion.

"Good, cuz your stuck with me," Fitz said then dipped his head and kissed her deeply and thoroughly.

I really hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. I'm super excited to be back writing again and I'm even more stoked to see how this story plays out. As always please let me know your thoughts on the chapter. You know I luv hearing from ya'll. Till next time...
