He watched as she fell, a few meters from him but getting further every second. Her bright hazel green eyes locked into his light blue ones, only if she could see them though his mask, just one last time.

Hello, hello.

Anybody out there? Cause I don't hear a sound.

It was like time slowed down around them, like every second of agony lasted an eternity. Her brown hair flew widely as Hayley was getting further and further from his reach.

Alone, alone.

I don't really know where the world is but I miss it now.

His first instinct was to use his web, after all what use could this powers have if it wasn't to save people, to save the woman he loved?

I'm out on the edge and I'm screaming my name
Like a fool at the top of my lungs.

But she knew she was too close to the ground, he couldn't save her and she couldn't save herself, not this time. As realization hit her, she closed her eyes, silently wishing this was nothing but a nightmare and that when she opened them again she would be safe and sound in her bed.

Sometimes when I close my eyes I pretend I'm alright
But it's never enough.

But she opened them, and yet she was still going to die, she would lose him- no, he would lose her. In that second he saw it in her eyes, how sure she was that this would be her last seconds, but he wouldn't let it happen, he couldn't let her...he simply couldn't.

Cause my echo, echo
Is the only voice coming back.

But even with the web wrapped around her stomach her body fell to the ground with a sickening crack before ending up floating in the air, as fast as he could he dropped to the ground next to her, ripping his mask out of his face and taking Hayley in his arms.

Shadow, shadow
Is the only friend that I have.

"It's alright, I've got you love, I've got you." Klaus whispered, kneeling in the ground. Watching that she didn't answer his voice he pulled her hair out of her face, keeping his hand in her cheek. "Hayley." he whispered, he could fear the tears burning in his eyes.

Listen, listen
I would take a whisper if that's all you had to give.

"Hayley!" he said more loudly, some tears falling from his face to her next "Hayley! Please!" he begged, he wouldn't -couldn't- bear the pain of losing her, she had to be fine, she was a werewolf after all, right? They could hand for more than any human, and she -his little wolf- was strong.

But it isn't, is it?
You could come and save me and try to chase the crazy right out of my head.

"Stay with me please." he pleaded breathlessly, she couldn't be... she couldn't. "You have to stay with me, there's so many people that needs you...I need you." he whispered, caressing her face lovingly "No, please! Please!" Klaus sobbed, pulling her closer to him til his face was buried in her hair as he continued to mourn her knowing he would never get to see her face again.

AN: It was my first attempt at songfic, ever. I hope you liked it :) The last drabble I wrote was also a first (my first smut fic) I'm trying to write thing I have never done before.
